Occupational Hazard
Here we go, the Ody/Chance fic that started as an angst fill before it ran away with me big time. ~3k, immediately post-Agent story. ---
It was easier to infiltrate Coruscant than she'd anticipated.
A simple slice of the customs terminal and the infamous Cipher Nine was walking out of the spaceport long before her shuttle's engines cooled. She wasn't sure if that was a credit to her skill or a demerit against Coruscant security. That ease, however, was balanced out by the difficulty tracking down who she sought.
Despite the difficulty--and multiple databases she had to crack--she did eventually find herself in the correct wing of the correct hospital, rapping lightly on the doorframe of a dimly-lit room. "Hello, Chance."
It took a moment for him to react, clearly not expecting a visitor at this point in the day. "Legate." He frowned, cocking his head. "What happened to you?"
"A lot," she said reflexively, perhaps a touch bitter before it sank in what precisely he meant. "But this was Corellia." She raised a hand to trace the fresh scars around her left eye, half-shaded by her hair. "Tortured for information by a secret society I was working to topple."
"Did you?" he asked after a beat.
"I did, yes." But she didn't want to talk about Hunter now, that wasn't her purpose here. She shifted. "May I come in?"
He started, then nodded, wincing as he rubbed the back of his neck. "They borrowed my chair for someone with visitors and I haven't gotten it back yet..."
"It's alright," she assured him, crossing to sit on the edge of the bed Up close she could see the haggard traces remaining on his face, though those wounds had healed. "I don't mind. How are you doing?"
He shrugged stiffly. "Better, but nowhere near ready to leave yet. At least there's less oversight here in long-term rehab, so I'm not getting poked every couple of hours. They mostly leave us alone except for meals or if we need something." He fiddled with the bio-monitor cuff on his wrist. "Legate, I-"
"Odessa," she interrupted. "My name. Odessa Isric. We should start off honest this time, hm?"
His ears were pink as he nodded. "I'd like that." He met her eye. "Sollen Rieves."
She'd learned that from tracking him down, but didn't point it out, simply smiled. "Nice to meet you, and I have to admit... that both fits what I expected and doesn't." A sheepish laugh. "If that makes sense."
"It's a good spy name, but I'm not a very good spy?" Chance--Sollen--said wryly.
His tone made her think it was a sentiment he'd heard--or overheard--but Odessa shook her head. "I'm not saying that." She studied him a moment. "And I can't imagine you had much time as an agent for someone to make that assessment."
"You aren't wrong," he muttered, wincing as he attempted shifting to a more comfortable position in the bed.
She gave him a moment to settle, musing on her own thoughts. Briefly as they'd worked together, she'd noted both his openness and kindness as things that wouldn't last long in the espionage business. Either they'd burn out or he would. But Taris had made that a moot point, by all evidence.
"Sorry," he mumbled, finally finding something that worked.
"No need to apologize," Odessa said with a small shake of her head. "You're still recovering."
"Which is going slower than some would like," Sollen said. "But a lot of the damage was internal, so there was only so much kolto could do. They're just antsy to see if they can send me back into the field or need to stick me somewhere else." He shook his head and cleared his throat. "But, anyway, what're you doing here, and" --he glanced out to the hallway, lowered his voice--"why don't you sound Imperial?"
She chuckled. "It can be called for, in this line of work, to carry or drop any number of accents at a moment's need. Including my native one." A small smile. "I can do a Mantellian farmer's twang, if you want an example...?"
Sollen laughed. "No, I believe you."
"I thought it best to not sound Kaasian on the Republic homeworld. As to the first part of your query... I didn't want to wait until you're out for that drink." Odessa started to reach into her jacket pocket, then paused, glancing at the bio-monitor screen embedded the wall nearby. "So long as you're not taking anything that would make that a bad idea?"
"Nothing that strong," he promised with a shake of his head. "Not anymore. Even if I was... it was the company I was looking forward to more than the drink."
"As was I," she said with a smile, slipping out the flask of Alderaanian honey brandy. "But this is very good."
He reached for the water cup on the bedside table, drank the little that remained, and held it out. "So we don't have to keep passing back and forth."
"Smart." She pour a little of the honey-shaded liquor into the cup. "To fruitful conversation, and a speedy recovery for you."
Sollen exhaled a wry laugh. "The second part'll take some kind of miracle, but thanks." He tapped the cup against her flask and they took a drink.
There was enough alcohol bite to make them both clear their throats, but the honeyed aftertaste came in quickly to soothe the tingling burn.
"That is very good." He looked down into the cup, then at her. "Expensive good. I didn't realize Intelligence paid their operatives that well."
"They don't," Odessa said with a small laugh. She swirled the brandy still in the flask as she debated how much detail to go into. "It was a gift. From an Alderaanian baron. His house was point of contact for a mission I had there, not long before being assigned to Kothe's team, actually. In the course of my mission, I... handled some things for the house that made him feel parting gifts were appropriate."
She didn't mention those things had involved unmasking his wife as funding terrorism or preventing a killik hive from absorbing the estate. Or that she hadn't reported the gifts to Imperial Intelligence.
"Ah, so they're bonuses," Sollen chuckled, taking another sip.
"You could call them that," she nodded with a smile as she followed his example. "I've done my best to savor them, but this seemed a worthy occasion."
"I'm honored." His smile faded and he looked down again, scratching at the rim of the cup. "About your assignment with us... Le- Odessa, I wanted to apologize-"
She knew where this was going, and was shaking her head before he finished.
"-for Taris. I should have..." The words trailed off as he looked up and caught her.
"There's no need," Odessa said softly, her own gaze drifting to the window.
"Yes, there is!" He frowned, tone rife with disbelief and indignance on her behalf. "It doesn't matter how scared I was, or how badly I didn't want to die, I shouldn't have done it. I should have trusted-"
"-that an alleged enemy defector you'd worked with for a few days would have your best interest at heart?" she finished dryly.
"You patched me up without needing the keyword, saved my life, so clearly it would have been the right call," he countered.
"But you didn't know that." Trusting people that much in spycraft would get you killed. "I'm not saying it was pleasant, but I understand."
"It's not really about what you would or wouldn't have done without the keyword," he said with a sigh. "It was wrong, and I knew it, and I did it anyway because I was scared. I'm..." He met her gaze, held it. "I'm very sorry, Odessa."
She had to admit, it made something in her chest warm beyond what brandy could accomplish to hear an apology, no matter how unnecessary. More so that he'd attached her name. Enough she had to look away for a moment. "I appreciate and accept that, and you're forgiven."
"Just like that?" He still seemed uneasy.
"Mm. Chance," she very deliberately didn't correct using his code name, "were I in Ardun's position; defector dropped in my lap right when I needed on, foolproof way to make sure this wasn't a trap or otherwise too good to be true, I can't say I would've chosen any differently than he did."
Sollen's grip tightened around the cup. "Really? Even knowing...?"
Odessa took a deep breath and nodded. "It's an occupational hazard for spies," she said softly. "We have to make hard calls, do unpleasant things, to accomplish goals for the greater good, and hope it's worth it."
Sometimes the greater good decides to stab you in the back for doing your job too well.
"I see where you're coming from," he said slowly, "but I don't know if I agree. Once you stop caring about the cost to individual people, or your cause starts demanding you stop caring, I think it stops being the greater good."
She chuckled and tapped the flask against the side of his cup. "Maybe you are too soft hearted for this business," she teased, taking another sip of brandy. "Maybe that's not a bad thing. Maybe..." she sucked her teeth. "...maybe I wish I was more like that. More like you."
The rueful smile and eyeroll at her teasing devolved into a blush and a rather bashful expression by the end. "Maybe it's not too late for you. And... maybe it's irrelevant for me."
Odessa frowned, nails tapping lightly against the metal flask. That was the second allusion like that he'd made. "Irrelevant? Were your injuries that extensive?" He had lost a lot of blood by the time she patched him up in the half-wrecked hospital hall. But he'd gotten to a medevac under his own power and she'd thought...
Sollen nodded, setting down the cup. "I can show you...?" He waited for her faint nod of confirmation before tugging up the hem of his shirt. "This is after two surgeries, three times in a kolto bath, and my first month of rehab."
Medseal wrapped from his hip to just over halfway up his chest, and pocked scars showed higher up, healed as kolto could get them. For it to still be this significant after a year... She winced.
"Granted, the actual injuries only come about here" --he tapped a finger just shy of his navel-- "but it was awkward to keep just that covered, synthskin kept peeling, so they opted to fully wrap. Goes halfway down to my knee, too," he said, letting the shirt fall. "They had to take part of a couple ribs, thanks to how they broke, fix a bunch of internal damage, and they thought they'd have to take the leg, at first. Obviously they didn't, but..." He sighed. "Safe to say my future as a field agent still looks real fuzzy right now."
Odessa nodded sympathetically. "Mm. And... how do you feel about that?"
"Ask me again after another month of rehab," he said with a sheepish chuckle. "Once I know if walking is something I can mange on my own. That'll definitely clear things up. Not sure right now." He picked the cup up and took another drink.
"If you're not... enthusiastic about returning to field work, maybe it's not a bad idea to take other options under consideration," she said.
Sollen nodded absently. "The possibility of a desk job's been tossed around. Analyst or handler." He wrinkled his nose. "Not sure how I feel about that, either. Getting to know someone, multiple someones, and having to not just send them into but watch them deal with dangerous and stressful situations... don't know if I could do it. That might be worse than doing it myself." He gestured to the scarring that ran down the left side of her face. "How'd your handler feel about that?"
"Regretful, but what we were doing was important," Odessa said with a shrug. "And it's part of the job."
"Part of the job..." he muttered. "Well, I have a few months of medical leave to work our if it's a part I want to--or have to--deal with anymore."
"Best of luck with that." She rested a hand on his shin and gave a light, supportive squeeze.
"Thanks," he said wryly, finishing off the brandy. She held up the flask to offer more and he shook his head. "That's enough about me, though. What have you been up to? Aside from toppling secret societies, I guess."
"First of all, I came looking to talk about you," Odessa corrected. "To find out how you were doing, I was worried after Taris. Second, given how entrenched and widespread it was, toppling the secret society has been a bit all-consuming..."
She ran through the story, with most of the details, all the way from Isen Four and Belsavis through the Cabal's ship and her final confrontation with Hunter.
And accepting Ardun's offer to be a double agent. For real this time.
"So... you're working for us?" Sollen asked when she was done, voice pitched low as if to keep secret, but hopeful nonetheless.
"Mm-hm." Odessa picked at the side of her thumb. "I don't know how close to the chest Ardun plays his cards for... sources like me, so it may be that only he, you, and I know my new allegiance."
"Lips sealed, I promise. I know how it works." He smiled. "Thank you for trusting me. If I can ask... what made you accept?"
"I followed orders I didn't entirely agree with, did... things to protect the Empire that were those hard calls I mentioned, almost got myself killed to keep it safe." She sighed. "And my reward for doing my job so well was having my will shackled. Bound to obey whatever they said, because I dared defy a Sith, even one bent on destroying the Empire he was supposed to help lead. I gave everything and was still no more than a tool to them, to rewire as they saw fit." She winced at his expression. Had that much of her hurt bled through? "Sorry."
"It's alright." He studied her face, searching for something. "So what made the Republic seem any better? Kothe and I used the keyword and took advantage of the brainwashing, wouldn't that make us just as bad?"
He would make a good analyst. Examining information for method, not just the end result. "You aren't the ones who did it to me, put an override chip in my brain. You only used it because you were seriously injured and scared" --she reached toward his injured side, stopping before she made contact-- "which makes people do things they normally wouldn't, and Ardun..." She bit her lip. "Ardun was protecting his people. The Sith who ordered it done were protecting their power."
Once she'd started really thinking about that, it never failed to bring a thin smile to her lips. The all-powerful, fearsome Sith so afraid of a single Cipher agent that they shattered her loyalty with the very action meant to guarantee it. It was almost poetic.
"That makes it better?" Sollen asked skeptically.
She shrugged. "Between people and power, I'm far more on board with protecting the former."
"Then maybe you aren't as jaded as you think you are," he said, lightly nudging her hip with his knee.
"That would be nice." Odessa tipped up the flask to empty the last dregs. I have too many ghosts for it to be true, but it would be nice...
He frowned. "If the Empire thinks you're loyal, won't it raise suspicion that you're on Coruscant?"
"Perhaps." She tucked the empty flask back in her pocket. "Imperial Intelligence was dissolved, so I'm not officially an agent. And they think I have the Black Codex from the Star Cabal, thanks to a few... strategically phrased half-truths. No telling where leads from that might take me."
"But if it puts you under scrutiny..." There was worry in his eyes, for her, and it made her heart clench.
"I work well under scrutiny," she promised. "Part of what made me a good fit for Intelligence in the first place was my natural charisma and working well under pressure. My assignment with your team, for example. Even under such scrutiny Ardun used my keyword--and he wasn't wrong to do that, Sollen, Intelligence sent me to stop him--I could have taken down nearly the entire team. Left you to die on Taris, killed Saber, Wheel, Ardun himself, and brought his plan crashing down around his corpse. I was supposed to, that was my assignment, and the only reason I didn't is I didn't want to." A sharp, brittle laugh. "Call it my first act of rebellion after getting free of the... mental restraints."
He stared at her a moment, then chuckled. "You're a little bit terrifying, 'Dessa, and I'm glad your on our side now, even if you weren't then."
"Well, thank you." She hummed a wry laugh, smiling at Dessa. She didn't think he realized he'd done that. She liked it. "I've never liked to kill anyway, unless I have to, and in that case it seemed a good way to start pushing back. Besides," Odessa caught his eye and gave a meaningful smile, "I liked you, most of you. Some more than others."
That blush was back, climbing his neck and ears. "Thanks. We liked you, too... Some more than others."
He was starting to look tired, and she'd pushed this visit longer than was likely prudent regardless, but she wasn't going to pass up an opening like that. "Maybe we should do something about that some more than others?"
Sollen's brows arched, a smile starting to curve his lips before shifting to mild concern. "Do you think it's a good idea? Could get complicated."
"Oh, it will undoubtedly get complicated," Odessa said wryly. Just logistically speaking, with you stuck here... "And I have no idea if it's a good idea, but I want to do it anyway, so long as you do."
He let the smile bloom. "Oh, I do. I'd like to see where this goes." He reached out to tentatively brush his fingers against the side of her hand. "Whatever that means, far as making it work."
"I suspect a lot of me visiting you when I can," she said with a smile, catching his hand before he withdrew and giving a squeeze. "Since it seems your ability to travel will be inhibited for... a while."
He snorted. "Considering I can barely manage to hobble a lap of the room right now, I think 'a while' is being generous. Or politely vague." He squeezed her hand back. "It'll give me something to look forward to."
Odessa nodded, heart pounding. "For now, though, I should probably go. Let you rest and not push my luck."
"Can't deny I need it," Sollen let go of her hand with a reluctant sigh, then smiled. "Thanks for the drink."
She chuckled, leaning in to kiss him on the cheek. "You're welcome."
"Next time I'm buying," he said as she headed for the door.
"I'll hold you to that," she said warmly, and slipped from the room, out of the hospital, back to her shuttle. It wasn't until she was strapped in and running preflight that Odessa's smile fully bloomed.
The promise of there being a next time was something she would look forward to as well.

How the Straw Hats react when Sanji (Sanju?) comes back with her gender thoroughly transed:
Luffy: Does NOT notice. Not in a million years. At some point Sanji asks him if he noticed something fucking different. He frowns for a long moment and declares "Sanji looks happier".
Zoro: Notices SOMETHING. Stares a lot. Glares, one might stay. Looks very hard. Something about her is different. All his memories of her until now change the moment he sees her and he forgets entirely she hasn't always looked like that. Perona tried very hard to squeeze half a fashion sense into his brain (so did Mihauk honestly) and so what he finds is that this shirt is definitely new, and that Sanji didn't use to tie her hair. Caught staring he deadpans "Nice braid." expecting a fight but Sanji stands startled, she hadn't thought he'd be so classy about it.
Nami: "Now that you have your own boobs you can stop fixating on mine." She offers to take Sanji shopping. As a paid shopping assistant. Her fares are outrageous but she cuts her many great deals.
Usopp: The least normal about it because human bodies don't work like that and the weirdness of this crew is still growing. Relaxes when he hears about Ivankov's powers.
Chopper: Does NOT notice. He forgets human gender characteristics if they aren't medically relevant. He has to be told that Sanji is a woman. He asks what difference it makes and he gets extremely worried when he's told that Sanju will now sleep in the women's quarters. Will she die of blood loss in her sleep?
Robin: Sanji fusses over her like she usually does, asks her if she likes her new look, and with a soft smile Robin says, like she told Franky "you haven't changed at all".
Franky: So. Very. Emotional. Can never shut up about how brave and SUPER Sanju is for this. Calls her SISTER every time he sees her and Sanju thinks he's forcing it but Franky is just teary-eyed and thrilled to call her sister.
Brook: Politely requests to see her panties. Is kicked in the face he doesn't have. Writes a song called "She's not who he used to be" with puns such as San-judas, Coq/Chick/Kitchen/Cook, she's a woman/she don't woo men/she, who? my Sanju-san-chan, nii-ju-sai-ma'm, she's not playing around, she won't even show me her - Saaaaan-juuuuu-daaaas!

we'll be just fine
pairing: TK/Carlos wordcount: 6.1k rating: M
If he let himself, he could think them into a different world. One where he’d take Carlos’s hand and crack a joke about someone surreptitiously coming into the bathroom in the last few minutes, where Carlos would roll his eyes and his grip on TK’s hand would tighten and they’d leave the bathroom laughing, the smile so wide on TK’s face it hurt. Where they didn’t exist in this moment as open wounds, desperately afraid of reopening them. He wishes he could snap his fingers and erase the events of the past few months. Before the fires sent the best family he’s ever had spinning in all different directions, unrecognizable. He wishes he could take them back to a place where Carlos still belonged to him and the universe didn’t feel the need to involve itself.
a gift for @sanjuwrites for the @tarlos-santa secret santa exchange!
prompt: "TK and Carlos run into each other at a gay club in the breakup era - angst ensues."
sanju, i was so surprised to get your name for this, and also surprised at how much fun i had writing it. my first break up era fic, and i definitely have the itch to write more.
i also wanted to say how glad i am that i slid into your dms this summer, and how happy i am to call you a friend. you've made my experience in this fandom a lot more fun, and i look forward to our chaos in 2024! i hope you enjoy<3
(huge thank you to @paperstorm for the beta <3)

Sanji vs. NNN (x reader fic)
a.n.: hey hi hello. its november so y'all know what that means. time for the sanji simp to write a nnn fic! aka the one where sanju tries to make it through the month without release. (also very vague timeline of events) (zoro and nami peace out towards the beginning of the fic) (and maybe possibly accidental blue balling) (a part 2 maybe?)
c.w.: afab!reader (though no explicit mention of body parts!), language, possibly ooc, angst?!, inconsistent timeline
w.c.: 1082
After what felt like an eternity at sea, you and the rest of the Straw Hats  had finally reached the next island on your journey through the Grand Line. The island was a tundra, and a vast departure from the long list of tropical islands you had hit for the past few dockings. Chopper had lived on an island of extreme cold temperatures his entire life and was the first choice to navigate the terrain. Luffy, of  course, was hell bent on finding a buffet- if not, any sort of local delicacy would do. Robin and Usopp were picked to pair up with the aforementioned Straw Hats in the event that they would need to split up. Therefore, you, Nami, Zoro, and Sanji were staying behind on the Going Merry. Nami's log pose would take about a month to record its magnetic field, so you were stuck in each other's company for the near future.
Late one night on the ship, you had decided to propose a challenge to better pass the time. It was a drunken idea, but the four of you were determined to see it come to fruition. Zoro and Sanji were sharing stories of past flings for the umpteenth time and you decided to make things interesting. Nami was the one to lay out the ground rules for the bet.
“How about this? I bet the two of you can’t make it a full month without getting off. Both by yourself or with the help of someone or something else.”
“And if we win?”
“I’ll drop the interest rate for your debts by 25% all December. Otherwise, it’s being doubled for six months.”
“Y/N?” Sanji looked at you, eager to gauge your response.
“My prize is getting to watch the two of you struggle for the next month.” You raised your eyebrows, ogling at the idea of it.
It went without saying that Sanji had a crush on you. Vinsmoke Sanji was infamous throughout each of the Blues for his romantic tendencies towards women, but it wasn’t just lust with you. You were something different. He needed your approval, and craved your praise.
“Mosshead already has the advantage of being asleep the majority of the time, so I guess it’s up to me to keep the bet going.” The bitter tone in the blond’s voice was ever present. You knew he was at somewhat a disadvantage. It was hard not to be when he wore his tender heart on his sleeve.
The first two weeks were a living nightmare for Sanji. Every look you gave seemed to linger longer than necessary. He wasn’t completely to blame for his circumstance though. To circumvent Zoro and Sanji staying in their rooms all day, you and Nami had decided to enforce a lockout. Rather than camping out in your respective rooms all day, everyone was expected to be out and about while the sun was up. Restrooms were fair game, with the caveat that anything over 20 minutes would be seen as an admission of guilt and an automatic loss of the challenge.
That didn’t mean you were going to make it easy on the boys, especially the first couple of weeks. Zoro had managed to stay true to his word and keep preoccupied, but Sanji wasn’t as lucky. It was almost like you made it a personal mission to get him to break. Clothes somehow managed to look tighter and skimpier, and every sentence you spoke had a hint of innuendo.
On the sixth day of the challenge, you had accidentally brushed up against him trying to grab something from the pantry and he could’ve died right there. The warmth of your skin brought him a jolt of goosebumps.
By the third week, he had found a routine to fall into, a way to devoid himself from falling into the trap of lust and losing the challenge. He knew his triggers and how to avoid them. Instead of having dinner together as usual, he’d drop yours and Nami’s meals off in your room. If you were outside doing chores, Sanji was burrowed in the kitchen and organized every square inch. With his flip in attitude, you decided it would be best to just give him a break for the rest of the challenge. Even though the ship was huge, personal space was still a virtue.
November 29th.
Sanji had made it a full 29 days without incident. And then you came out to the deck of the ship that night to clear your head. You weren’t dressed sexy by any means. But seeing you adorned in your favorite pajamas, he would have sworn that you were something divine sent down just for him.
“Hey.” Now seemed as good a time as ever to exchange pleasantries, testing the water given his recent stint ignoring you. Sanji looked over at you, slightly jumping at the sound of your voice.
“I need you. Now.” He was ready to disregard all the rules of the challenge for the chance to show you hoe intense his feelings were.
“You’ve seemed pretty blasé recently- I would’ve assumed you’d ask me to leave. Get yourself to the end of the challenge y’know?”
“Please.” Sanji wasn’t even begging at this point. The cadence of his voice made it seem like a need more than a want. Struck with an affliction only you could solve.
“Don’t you have, like, one day left? I don’t think you’d want to risk 6 months of increased interest for me.” Teasing him was fun in the beginning, but your question was truly in earnest. You couldn’t help notice the dwindling space between the two of you though. Sanji was trapped in a trance, gravitating toward your voice. Hungry for release and desperate to show you how pent up you had made him for the past month.
“You really don’t get it, do you? It was never about the challenge. You aren’t just some consolation prize to me.” Sanji’s face was a mix of frustration and need. “I would have taken you the first day you joined the crew if I could.”
“Sanji.” You knew you’d never hear the end of it from Zoro if you were the reason Sanji lost the challenge. But Sanji would have paid 1000% interest for even a second to show his devotion to you. He was close enough now that you could feel his breath hit your skin.
“Let me show you how much I need you.”

The Strawhat Pirates play D&D:
Before anything begins, Luffy and Nami get into an argument about what the campaign is. Nami wants to play a narrative heavy story while Luffy just wants to hit things. Eventually the crew decides to play two separate campaigns. Luffy leads Team "Unga-bunga" (Nami's term) while Nami leads team "Epic Adventure".
Usopp and Franky offer to be DMs. Usopp DMs Nami's campaign while Franky DMs Luffy's. Then the rest of the crew decide which campaign to join. Without hesitation, Zoro and Chopper join Luffy shouting "Unga-bunga!" as they do. Sanji, obviously, joins Nami's group and Brooke also joins because he would love an epic adventure. Nami initially assumes Robin will join her only for Robin to say she'd rather join Luffy because Unga-bunga. So Jimbei decides to join Nami's group to balance things out.
Team Unga-bunga's characters: Gruffy: Orc barbarian played by Luffy Groro: Orc barbarian played by Zoro Gropper: Orc barbarian played by Chopper Grobin: Orc barbarian played by Robin
Team Epic Adventure's characters: Namie: Sexy (Nami's insistence) high-elf archer played by Nami Sanju: Halfling bard played by Sanji Brock: Human monk played by Brooke Grimbei: Orc mage played by Jimbei
Somehow, Nami managed to write an extensive background for Namie which is 547 pages long. Meanwhile all the Unga-bunga character backgrounds are some variant of "I like to hit things with my weapon"
Team Unga-bunga's campaign is the team just going around fighting strong enemies. In their first encounter, Luffy demonstrates high competency at the math and probability theory in D&D much to everyone's shock.
Meanwhile Team Epic Adventure go on a grand journey of revenge, discovery, and self-actualization; or at least they would if the dice would cooperate. Namie dies on their first battle and is replaced by Namiel, Namie's identical twin sister who happens to have the exact same class, skills, stats, and background as her sister.
Team Epic Adventure suffers throughout their entire campaign and things only start getting well as they give up on having an adventure and start going unga-bunga as well. Eventually, most of the original characters in Team Epic Adventure die and are replaced.
Team Epic Adventure's final party: Grami: Orc barbarian played by Nami Granji: Orc barbarian played by Sanji Grooke: Orc barbarian played by Brooke Grinbei: Orc barbarian played by Jimbei
At the end of their two campaigns, the two teams join together to face the final bosses Grussop and Granky, the twin Orc Barbarian Kings. Gruffy lands the final blow on them and is declared King of the Orc Barbarians!

I AM HERE FOR THE NICE ASK DAY
i just wanted to let you know that the ring-in was one of my first fics in this fandom and it totally sold me on the fanfic-fandom side of 911 lone star :)
thank you sanju, that is incredibly kind! i'm so glad you enjoyed the little slice of chaos that @dustratcentral and i came up with - we are rogue as fuck for it, but it was one of my favourite fandom experiences writing and posting it.
thank you to @rmd-writes who did some truly insane turn around times on the beta reading <3

Hi Sanju! Just dropping in for nice asks day to ask— what is a personal headcanon that has been occupying your thoughts as of late (for LS or RWRB)?
hi dalawa! thanks for the ask :)
okay for RWRB, I have a couple - my favorite one is that Alex works at an immigration law firm and Henry is an adjunct professor at UT, along with his shelters ofc, that teaches a lecture on queer history, based on his anthology he publishes. They have a standing lunch date every Thursday, because Henry gets done teaching his lectures and Alex takes an extended lunch so they can see each other more during the day. it's all very soft and you will see this make an appearance in my rwrb fic i'm writing
my LS one is kind of sad, but i think it's fitting. i like to think that tk took carlos to the same grief group that tommy took tk, and he's gone back a couple of times since. i feel like it helps him process his grief with people that didn't exactly know gabriel.

Star Wars: The Old Republic Masterlist
So I am not putting a lot of characters as part of this list in order to make things a little easier for me. I also put some of my characters I created in game cause I wanna write some stuff for them.
Mostly with the original characters I created in game I wanted to explore what they would be like in roles outside the main storylines which are given within the SWTOR universe.

happy nice ask day :)
i've got two for you, 1) what is your least talked about headcanon (one for lone star and one for RWRB) and 2) what made you first start writing?
Hey Sanju! 💖 I’m going to answer the second question first - I started writing after mucking around in a gc and realising that maybe I could try this writing thing! I hadn’t written fiction since high school which was a Very Long Time Ago, but with the encouragement of some friends, I have it ago and really enjoyed it, so I’ve just stuck with it.
As for headcanons - I don’t talk a lot about my hc on the dash at all really, I tend to just shove them into fics where I can. But some little things that come to mind:
For RWRB, there are several variations of group chats for the Super Six - Alex, June and Nora; Henry, Pez, Bea; Alex, Nora, Pez (sheer chaos), June and Henry (lots of book discussions), all of them together etc etc.
For LS, Carlos and TK are in competition to be Charlie’s favourite. Trouble is, her favourite is Marjan

Game canon is presumably fic canon unless otherwise shown or mentioned, which is fine most of the time...
But kind of frustrating when either there are adjustments you want to make for fic canon that you can't figure out how to write or allude to at some point (Kyrian's so far word of god only celebratory night with Sanju, for instance) or when game canon doesn't entirely make sense but working out what does is a can of worms. (Probably carnivorous worms. It is Star Wars.)
I'd accuse Nar Shaddaa of being the planet (okay, moon) where logic goes to die, but I think it's really only Smuggler!Nar Shaddaa and Agent!Nar Shaddaa that have issues, especially if you start poking at anything. (Or those are just the only two class stories where I have started pulling threads and suddenly I don't have a carpet any more.)
My issues with Smuggler!Nar Shaddaa are at least as much personal preference (I would prefer that Bowdaar not be luggage, thanks) as actual screwy writing. (Or I've forgotten how bad it is, since I'm pulling a whole entire reject your reality and substitute my own with it.) But the more I look at Agent!Nar Shaddaa, the more I find myself going "wait, what!?"
Watcher X's exit is...odd. But there are any number of ways to make it more sensible, from the agent (or Watcher Two) being smart enough to figure out what's going on on their own (if you want to kill Watcher X) to the agent running into bad traffic (if they sympathize with Watcher X but don't want to take his deal).
What's harder to render sensible is, oh, everything else involving Watcher X. Imperial Intelligence thinks this guy's dangerous, but has nooo problem giving him the wherewithal to cook up a drug that mimics the effects of too many stims/questionable enhancements and cybernetic implants that let someone disguise their vital signs (this isn't a concern for a prisoner? sure, he probably can't implant them in himself. probably.). Never mind letting this guy give an active agent both drugs and those highly questionable implants.
(Okay, you can refuse the drugs. Not the implants.)
Sometimes it seems like Intelligence thinks Cipher Nine is awfully expendable. Are we sure they're supposed to be a top agent and not some incredibly lucky/skilled sacrifice?
What the Agent is doing on Nar Shaddaa also gets a little slippery (and is weirdly very directed by Watcher X, which is probably a gameplay thing, never mind that it does slightly odd things to the story). I won't say it doesn't make sense, but it does feel like there's a piece or two missing if you look closely. (Heck, one might be able to nudge it slightly and imply that Watcher X was the actual leader of the Nar Shaddaa terror cell...)
But, even if it were all perfectly smooth, with no nagging questions or unpleasant implications about just how expendable Intelligence considers its agents, I'd still be poking it with a stick both because of those highly questionable implants and because it ends with the agent slaughtering VerveGen's top people. (Who are, yes, evil terrorists producing and distributing a drug that enhances you then melts you. I'm not saying it's not justifiable, just that it's a lot of murder.)
The implant isn't really a character problem. It's an obviously risky move that raises (or should raise) all kinds of questions, but Kyrian (more or less) accepts the risks of his profession...as long as those risks only apply to him. However, it's still a can of worms. As I once noted to @pyr0clast, how does Intelligence know the implant only does what Watcher X says it does, how does the Agent know that, and, most importantly why does it only do what Watcher X tells the Agent it does? Imagine if the Agent goes after Watcher X when he escapes, only to be brought down by the implant when they try.
(Okay, that's not what happens in the game because the players would be pissed. But it'd make a hell of a moment in a story.)
Theoretical impressive exits by Watcher X aside, you'd think Intelligence would want those implants out of their agent ASAP. You'd think the Agent would want those implants out ASAP! Game canon, of course, just forgets they exist, but fic has to deal with these things, whether with a quick trip to an Intelligence post or a back alley doctor recommended by Kaliyo (because why stop at one bad medical decision for the week).
VerveGen, however, is a character problem. Kyrian doesn't like murder as a solution to anything, even people-melting enhancement drugs and intergalactic terror organizations. Arrest by the Empire is out, the local authorities are just murder with more steps and exotic wildlife, so that pretty much leaves some form of sabotage (unless I've overlooked something). Which makes the implants irrelivant, since they're part of the murder plan. (Provided Watcher X doesn't cook up different highly questionable implants for the sabotage plan because, damn it, he wants to do unpleasant elective surgery on some member of Imperial Intelligence and no one from HQ is handy.)
All of which means I need to write or allude to bits of slightly alternate Nar Shaddaa.
At least it's marginally easier to deal with than the problem of Sanju Pine.

Ahaa Asha!
The title might wonder you. But that’s how it matches. Asha is a girl from my college and it’s because her words have been doing wonders to my thoughts that she’s here on my page.
So like every girl who would like to escape from problems, I planned to do my masters out of my city. It ended up at Women’s Christian College, Chennai. Interesting that I got into a completely new degree. A new profile. I joined the hostel that is inside the campus, where everyone could guess what the rules and regulations are. I cried a lot the day my dada left me giving me a hug. Merin Sanju and Asha Matilda were my roommates. Interesting girls. They spoke rarely, but then we had a bond of silence and little laughter and some news about deaths and stuff. So, Asha was the girl who boosted my work. I barely shared my blog with people. I shared it with this girl and her encouraging words made me write more.
Once Aishwarya and I stayed at the hostel for a couple of days when others went on their vacation. I found a piece of letter that said, “Happy Easter Ojas. miss you, and write stories on your Instagram blog.” Signed as Asha. That’s when I started noticing her words. She loved every word that I wrote. She felt it. And commented on it. I was wondering to have that piece of that, as am getting one such appreciation for the first time. Thank you, Asha.
It was almost time to leave softer our semester. There were memories left in room no.4 with these as many other people who made of laugh and feel the world. Asha left a day before I did. She messaged me about how she was going to miss all the days we had and remembered to write every time I could.
When I returned back, I again had a message from her. About the void that I had left for them. It felt so much for me. I was taken aback. I met her the last week and was surprise to know that she missed my works and she reminded me send the completed work to her to read upon. Again I was amazes.
“Asha, this is for you. You had been of great encouragement to me. I don’t know to read humans. But I feel their presence in my life at every stage. You and your words have been a push to write this piece of work. I don’t know how you going to feel about it. But, this is my way of thanking people. Hope well met again at some corner of WCC or the world. Hope you’ll remember me until then. “
This was what I wanted to convey to her.
You meet people and they impact differently. I take time to know things and respond to them. I know this is the first time that am writing about someone, whom I met just a year before. Which means there’s something that this person had made in my life. Note that it took a year to format this. This means, that some people deserve so many pages of gratitude.

The company still has a goal of being the worlds No. “CJCGV also saw an operating loss of only 300 million won in its operating profit in the Turkish subsidiary in the second quarter. Before the earnings announcement, it was far less than that of CJCGV, which predicted that the company would have posted an operating profit of 11.9 billion won in the second quarter.” As a result CJ CGV shares fell 10% in one day. USA (TX) – But in a dark lining to the above silver cloud, AMC will have to face a lawsuit from a small cinema that claims it was driven out of business due to ‘clearances’, i.e. THR – 8 August 2018 Viva Cinema – now closed. The success of the AMC Stubs A-List unlimited (aka ‘MoviePass-killer’) scheme is only one of the reasons that AMC is doing well, after some painful restructuring.
