A Stroke of the Brush

Yn was one of those quiet girls who always sat in the back of the class and was also the smartest student there. Yes, that is Yn, a 17-year-old girl, along with her loud, smart, but less intelligent brother Karl and Karl's buddies. Yn only hung out with Karl's friends when they came over, but one in particular always stood out. He had brown hair and pretty green eyes that occasionally looked brown in the sunlight. They had one class together, and when he waved, Yn would every once in a while wave back or turn away, blushing.

The art teacher was rambling on and on about a brand-new art project—a partner project—as Yn listened. "Yn with Nic-" "Sapnap" , Sapnap quickly interrupted, "cliche," Yn thought. The teacher nodded and watched as Sapnap stood up and made his way to Yn.

The moment he sat down, Yn turned to face him and said, "Hey Pandas," to which Sapnap replied, "Hey little Jacobs." "The only rules to this project are that your partner can't help and can't see," Miss. Puffy said as canavas were placed in front of each student.

"So, you hanging out with Karl tonight?" Sapnap smirked in response, questioning, "Why want to ask me out on a date, mamas?" Yn rolled her eyes and muttered, "the project," as her cheeks warmed up. Nodding while frowning, Sapnap answered, "No, I'm not hanging out with Karl." 

Yn nodded and stared longingly at the desk, "wanna start the project tonight?" Yn glanced at Sapnap who nodded, "yep sure what time," and Yn shrugged, "whatever works for you." "I'll be there by 8," Sapnap replied.

As Yn watched the time tic by as she waited for Sap to arrive, the door opened almost slowly, and Sapnap in. He kicked off his shoes and shut the door. Karl asked, "Yo Sap whatcha doing here man?" as he descended the stairs. Yn was quiet on the couch while Sapnap gestured toward her. Karl nodded and then turned to walk back up the steps, saying, "I don't want to hear it."

Sapnap laughed as he sat down and opened his bookbag, pulling out everything. Yn grabbed out her phone and started taking pictures of the man as he stared oddly, asking, "What are you doing?"  Yn frowned at the male "Yn?" Sap asked in a soft voice as she got closer and hovered over him. "I'm trying to get reference pictures."

Yn's eyes, lips, and back to her e/c eyes drew Sapnap's attention as he nodded while biting his lip. while softly encircling her wrist as he gently pushed Yn's hands down , Sapnap said, "Yn can i-." "What?" Yn inquired. "Can I take pictures of you outside?" Sapnap muttered, shrugging off what he originally intended to ask. Yn smiled and nodded.

Days had passed since that day, but Sapnap was still thinking of Yn sighing he picked up his phone. "Hey Sapnap it's...1 it's in the morning is something wrong," Karl greeted him. " Karl, you have to promise me not to get upset before I can tell you something," said Sapnap as he cast a quick glance around him. "of course Sap" "Karl, I like Yn," he sighed. For a few minutes, all was silent. "Karl?" "took you long enough" Karl's voice was followed by his giggles as he replied, "What?" Sapnap said ignoring the tears whelling up. "I knew you liked my sister for a while and now she knows too," "WHAT" Sapnap said as he threw his phone down.

Sapnap flushed and hid his face, "Sap?" When he took up the phone and heard Yn's voice, he said, "Yn," "hello Pandas, I'm on my way." Yn hung up the phone, and Sapnap froze. Less than 20 minutes later, his doorbell rang. The painting of Yn almost fell down as Sapnap raced down the stairs. He then ripped open the front door and his eyes landed on a wet Yn.  As Yn approached him and gave him a sweet smile, she dragged him down by wrapping her arms around his neck.

As Yn leaned forward she asked, "Is this what you wanted that day, huh?," Sapnap felt his breath catch in his throat. Yn smirked, looking down at his lips. As he came in close to her and almost pressed her lips to his, Sapnap whispered, "Please Yn," and nodded.

As he encircled her waist with his arms, Yn grinned and pressed her lips to his, drawing him in closer.

- this happened before he face revealed - so he went out to the grocery store or smth with a mask and sunglasses so if anyone recognized him they wouldn't like see what he looked like - pulled a ranboo fr - anyway he entered the cat food aisle looking for the best cat food for patches our beloved - and was so enthralled in the cat food that he didn't hear you walk by with your cart trying to get past the aisle - "excuse me sir can u please move???" "*is looking at cat food*" "sir?" "OH IM SO SORRY" - moves immediately but not before he makes eye contact with you through the glasses - his eyes widen comically, he thinks ur gorgeous - takes advantage of that fact that you cant see his eyes and continue to admire your face as you laugh and wave ur wrist in the air, swatting away the awkward interaction just like that - you walk away and he forces his mind to go back to the cat food - but god ur imprinted in his brain and he knows he cant just let you leave - so he grabs whatever cat food he sees and runs around the store looking for you - sees you leaving and went "NOPE" - in his head - RUNS to you but slows down before he gets to you so u don't fucking murder him - "hey uh" "oh hi!" "i thought you were really cute...and i couldn't just let u leave the store without tryna get ur number" "oh :) thanks! but idk what u look like.." "right" - whips that shit off in the middle of walmart mask off challenge succeed - ur face: :O - "yeah u can have my number" "LETS GO" - speedran that shit basically

george: - god the british  - hate them/j - youre not british in this story okay  - and if ur british irl,,,im sorry for ur ailment/j - ANYWAY - youre a tourist ur visiting the good old u of k - ur in london obv - and george never leaves his flat there - except to get groceries - so he walks to the nearest grocery store bc he literally cant drive - and bumps into you its the classic omg so sorry i bumped into you romance - except he thought that was awkward and kinda went “sorry” looked down at the ground and sprinted forward - you were like “the british are.....odd”  - george then realized that was worse and turned around to apologize to you - and then fell in love with you - u were taking a picture on ur camera of just like the scenery of london - and we like “omg theyre cute and they appreciate the little things” - gets on discord and texts sapnap “im in love” and then sapnap goes “me too with ur mom” - logs off discord now - walks up to you sheepishly and was like “haha sorry for doing that it was a dare by my friend” and u were like “its ok:)” ad then hes like “yk what isnt a dare” and u were like “hmm what” and he was like “me asking for your number cause ur so cute” - and u were malfunctioning cause u didnt expect cute british man to ask you on a date while u were in the u of k - but u said yes and then he realized ur accent and was like “ar eyou not british” and u were like “no.” and he was like “thats okay! im skilled with long distance relationships ;)”  - unknowingly flirts with you  - you skull emojied and then joined him on his trip to the grocery store IDK this one was bad im sorry 

karl: - YOURE IN A MR BEAST CHALLENGE - oh oh OH the amount of things in my brain running through - anyway u were a subscriber of Mr jimmy beast so he was like "come be in a video" - its one of those last to leave the circle loses - each cast member is paired with a participant and whoever wins gets 50,000 and the cast member gets like 10,000 or smtn - and jimmy had them all pick a name out of a hat to make it simple - and karl didn't pick u - nolan did - but when they walked out to meet the participants and karl made eye contact with you for a split second - god he fell right there - couldn't help but imagine what loving you would be like - knew he wanted to experience that - but he couldn't do that if he wasn't even paired with you - so he BEGS nolan to switch - "dude please cmon" "what do i get out of it??" "if i win ill give you the money" "oh shit ok" - now he's paired with you HE MASTERMINDED THAT SHIT LIKE TAYLOR SWIFT - anyway you were like "shit he's cute ill win now" - ur dynamic is amazing jimmy loves it for the video - the whole time u both are playfully flirting and just being yourselves around each other its amazing - he tries to cheat to help you LOL but gets caught with a sheepish smile on his face - that's when u fall i swtg - anyway - the filming for the video goes for like 2 and a half days so you spend a lotttt of time with karl dearest - you lose in the end tho bc in ur sleep u accidentally kicked ur foot outside the circle - you're a bit defeated - after thanking u all jimmy sends you off - and u smile and thank him and karl and head off - but then you hear a "PIT PAT PIT PAT" of feet slapping concrete behind you - "wait can i have ur number? :)" "i thought you wouldn't ask :)" and u give him ur number number for number - jimmy mischievously smiles in the background before returning to his beast lair

Sam gets cuddly whenever he's thinking about you. All those high school memories flood his head when he looks at you, and he feels like he's falling in love all over again; so he holds you close and whispers small "I love you's" that send chills down your spine

Aimsey absolutely loves to have you around them, and will sometimes bring up moments you two had togheter just to see you get shy and and demand them to stop. They've always found this side of you to be very cute

Live in some small town/suburb in florida

Georges family moved there when he was really young from britain and at first he hates it

But then he meets dream at school and they become fast friends

Very codependent friends -> tell each other everything, do everything together

In georges sophomore year his parents decide to move back to england

He doesnt want to go and he tells dream about it first

Dream says don't go! You can live with me and we can finish highschool together and then go to college together

George agrees and moves into dreams house

They share a room in dreams house, and somehow they get even closer

No one ever points out their strangeness, because its a small town and everyone knows dream and george are best friends

Until someone does their senior year- sapnap, a kid from texas who just moved to florida for a bit

Hes younger than them, and they only meet him their senior year because they help with a coding club

He’s like what the fuck is up with you two ?

And they’re liek ???? we’re Normal.

As the school year goes on, dream is growing less invested in the idea of going to college, while george is still very committed

Its the longest real fight they’ve ever had, and neither of them know how to deal with it

Dream ends up getting closer to sapnap in the time they spend not talking, and george feels like hes being replaced

In a moment of rashness, george commits to a college in england

Finally, they both reach their breaking points of being away from each other for too long, and they reconnect in a dramatic moment

From then on theres a shift in their relationship that neither of them can really name- they’re more touchy, more emotional

But george doesn’t tell dream that he’s going back

The school year is drawing to a close, and theres a lot of tension in dreams family over his choice to not go to college

Dream turns to george for reassurance, but george starts to pull away, afraid of hurting him

He’s fully decided he wants to go back, but he doesn’t know how to tell dream

It ends up being an accident that dream finds out, a week before their graduation when the school counselor sends out a list of everyone and the schools they’ve committed to to verify before graduation

Dream sees himself, listed at the very end with no college, and he sees george listed first, among the students going to uni internationally, and he feels the distance between them grow, until it’s all he can feel

George tries to talk to him, not even realizing he knows, and now dream is shutting him out and george doesnt know what to do

Graduation comes, and dream watches as george crosses the stage and accepts his diploma, as the crows cheers for him

It's quieter when he goes, and the lack of a commitment for college rings loudly around the auditorium

The rest of the day is a blur for dream, the afterparty feels hollow, and when he gets home he sees george packing his bags

Youre leaving. Dream says, and it feels like the world has already ended

for some stupid reason you woke up around 5 am with an insane urge to pee... so you grabbed your phone and sulked away to the bathroom.

To make things worse you glanced at your underwear and noticed you started your period... how wonderful, at least you weren't pregnant...

since it was so early, you couldn't even comprehend that you didn't bring any clothes or a towel, so you decided to go ahead and take a bath.

Once you settled into the boiling-hot bath, you noticed that it was kind of boring- so like the childish person you are, you started looking around for anything to entertain yourself...

you looked around and noticed a bottle that had the word "bubbles", and that's all you needed to know before you slowly started pouring the solution in the steaming bath.

Yes you could've just went back to your room but once you stand up you know the cramps would start hurting again... and besides you didn't have any towels or clothes... So you were planning to spend the rest of your days in the bathtub like the stubborn person you are. but who can blame you? your boyfriend since highschool just broke up with you.

The situation just hit you and some emotions started kicking in , which then caused you to aggressively but emotionally squeeze all of the "bubble" solution into the steaming bath that your overwhelmed self was in.

for some reason you felt like last night; extremely overwhelmed to the point that you can't comprehend your emotions. Feeling all those emotions led you to falling asleep.

angry sapnap picked up the 'bubble' bottle and stared at it in disbelief,

you kept repeating sorrys and for forgiveness, which seemed overdramatic but deep down you were only saying sorry for whatever you did to your ex boyfriend that made him want to break up with you.

that's when you realized your heavy breathing, all the emotions hit you at once which sent you into an intense panic attack.

"whats wrong?"

"my fucking period! I'm so stupi" you replied wayyy to overwhelmed with emotions.

"never say that. it's your body being stupid...I'll be here for you untill it stops being stupid," sapnap tried comforting...

"NO MY BOYFRIEND- BROKE UP!" you tried saying between gasphs which only led you to start sobbing even more.

that's when sapnap kneeled behind you and put your head into his shoulder, stroking your damp, wet hair.

"I'm here," he lightly cooed into your ear.

"i can't- i can't-" you sobbed out.

his heart broke hearing you say that, all he wanted to do was protect you..

"i can't do this anymore-" you tried saying only to be interrupted by concerned sapnap "i can do it for you"

He didn't know what he needed to do for you, in fact it was a figure of speech meaning that he will take care and comfort you.

Intrudusing: Tntduo-based DSMP Glee AU

(Cuz why do one interest when you can have two in one)

The premise of this is that it’s a highschool AU but with singing and absolutely bonkers logic. You can have an aggressive sing-off in a parking lot, the glee club no one likes and has no budget can get any decorations they want and the only way to resolve personal conflict is singing it in front of a room full of people

Quackity and Wilbur are the leaders of two rival clubs. They meet without that knowledge and immediately take a liking to each other but when it turns out they’re competitors they immediately start the enemies arc, both feeling like they have been betrayed.

The only charecters then get direct correlations are the teachers with:

Technoblade as the coach of the football team and the only adult you can trust in this goddamn school

Phil as the coach of the Glee club/ geography teacher, as adult you think you can trust but no, he’ll give you some real dumb advice

Dream as the celebrity coach of the cheer team, ruthless and uncaring for the lives of others

Glee can’t really function without the adults of the show but they’re not what I really care about. So, the kids:

The New Directions glee club containing:

Wilbur Soot, default to leader of the club and most avid member. School’s resident weird guy who smokes upder the bleachers and got a freshman knocked up (that’s only a rumor tho). He’s a full-on mess, currently obsessed with the leader of the club they compete with, the Dalton academy Warblers

Tommy, Tubbo and Ranboo, all honorary members that mostly just hang out in the club after school. They’re from the neighbor middle school and they do make a pretty rad quartet so that let them practice and even preform sometimes.

Jack, Eret and Nikki, actual members of the glee club. Talented, cool, that’s our supporting cast

Fundy, youngest member of glee club, I lied about no one having a direct correlation, he’s the Tina (poor girl doesn’t get a solo that isn’t interrupted for an entire season)

George and Sapnap, the evil cheerleaders in cahoots with Dream that infiltrate the glee club so they disband. They don’t really get the redemption arcs the cheerleaders in the show do cuz I don’t care enough about them

And then we have

Quackity, a Dalton Academy Warbler, which is the glee club of a lovely posh-ass private school where the glee club is actually cool.

Karl is also there.

Eventually Q transfers and has to fight with Will for leading parts or something. Also Q’s a cheerleader because duh.

Sapnap

Highschool AU

You didn’t care much for school. As long as you kept your grades passing, you were fine. The only class you really liked was your third period, and it was because you got to build stuff. And also because you liked talking to Sapnap.

He kept to himself for the most part, and he interested you. He was good friends with two of the upperclassmen in your class, George and Dream. And kinda you too. You were a year ahead of him, had transferred into the class after getting a schedule change to avoid an ex. The teacher frequently made the two of you build together, and you couldn’t help but admit you were crushing on the guy.

When you told Dream, who you were great friends with, he raised an eyebrow. “It’s not like that! He actually talks to me. He listens, Dream. When we’re working with the other guys and he can’t figure something out, he asks me before them, and they’re way better at me than this. Also, whenever we build, we just talk about whatever and it’s amazing. We throw ideas back and forth and we give each other feedback; he let me tell him about dating you know who and didn’t make the normal comments,” you gushed. Your friend had just sighed and given you a look. “You know how he is. He’s like a brother to me, but if you like him I won’t argue. It might do him some good to take a break for once…”

You agreed with that. Sapnap was always working in class, and you’d frequently join him on projects at lunch, too. The two of you would talk about whatever while you watched him build and occasionally helped. He let you attack him with questions about whatever you wanted to know, so you liked to do that. You were doing so today when you stopped mid sentence to grab something for him. “How come everyone knows you as some violent dude? You seem calm to me,” you said, passing him a hammer. He used it to free a bolt. “Cause I used to punch walls when I got mad. Got in a couple fights.“

“But not anymore, right? I mean, you always feel so relaxed. Besides the constant working, at least.” Sapnap stopped working to look at you with an eyebrow raised, and you hoped to god your face wasn’t as red as it felt. “I guess. The work is relaxing. Why the curiosity?” He asked. You shrugged and moved so he could reach a wrench. “I’m curious about people. And you’re a people, so…” He shrugged and went back to working. “Fair enough I guess.”

A few moments of silence passed before he spoke again. “So when are you gonna admit you like me? Because I know you do. It’s not like you hide it,” he said. Though it caught you off guard, it wasn’t wrong. Ignoring your desire to just run away, you sat in a more comfortable position. “I mean. I don’t exactly try to hide it. I just didn’t want to make you uncomfortable. We’ve got a nice lil friendship as it is.” The boy stoped building entirely to give you his full attention. “To be fair you didn’t give me much choice,” he joked. “Look, I told you to tell me go away if I annoyed you. You did not. It’s not all me.”

“True. How long have you liked me?” You shrugged. “Bout a month and a half. You’re cool and interesting and shit. And I like your style.” Sapnap nodded, looked away, looked back at you. “Sooo…. Are you gonna ask to hang out outside of school or do I have to?”

He prompted. The two of you laughed. “You’re an ass. Here’s my number, text me when you’re free and I’ll come get you. We can chill at my place, or you can help me clean my room since you like working so much,” you said, handing him your phone. Sapnap put your number in his phone. “I think I can chill for a bit,” he said with a grin.

There was something about Dream that called to people. Whether it was his sunny personality, his loud, optimistic approach to life, the way he was always willing to stand up for his friends and help out wherever he was needed- it made people flock to him. The fact that he had gorgeous green eyes full of life, cute freckles and an ass you could bounce a quarter off of was also probably a factor.

The one fact that made his friends despair, however, was that despite his quick wit and occasional hilarious yet dirty jokes, that man wouldn’t know how to spot someone being attracted to him in a serious way if it slapped him with a sign saying “hey, i think you’re hot and smart and fun, we should date”. Which had basically happened, given that more than once one of his- self described- “pack of simps” had said those words or even more and had still been met with… nothing. Just Dream thinking it was a joke. Again.

This was not an isolated incident for them.

It had started, as a lot of these things did, with a childhood crush. Sapnap had always seen Dream as his best friend ever, and it had not taken much time at all for those feelings to turn into something more. And that something… never turned to anything. At first, Sapnap had kept those feelings locked up, deep inside of him, a little scared that he’d run his best friend off. As the years passed, and both of them grew up, and he witnessed exactly how his best friend handled love confessions, he realized it was, maybe, a little pointless to hide it. At this point, no matter how often Sapnap made a not-so-joke about them banging, or dating, or living together, or literally getting married, it seemed like Dream would just let it pass him by. Which, honestly, kind of worked out for him pretty well. Yes, his best friend never got his hints, but on the other hand he could stare at him (and check him out) as often as he wanted and not be told off or anything, so. He’d take his wins where he could get them.

Then, there was George. The man had moved to America from England back in Dream’s second year of highschool, and it became increasingly obvious that Dream felt something for him from pretty much the get-go. Blushing, flirting (a little badly, but that was teenage boys for you), always wanting to hang out with him. Sapnap had been jealous as hell- and then he’d met George. 

The guy was equally as head-over-heels as him, and he still didn’t know it yet. Sapnap’s jealousy had abruptly vanished, and he’d debated telling George something about how maybe he should ask himself why he was always blushing, give him a hint or two. Then George beat him at Mario Kart and the decision to leave him to figure it out himself was clearly the only good choice to make. Fair was fair, and all that.

Of course, it kind of came back to bite him in the ass when George woke him up with a call at three in the morning about how he couldn’t be in love with Dream, oh my god, Sapnap stop laughing-

And then there were two. They sat together more often, bickering and laughing and also occasionally just loudly sighing about how their best friend was hot as fuck and apparently, kind of dumb emotionally.

Then highschool turned to college, and there were three and four.

Punz had gone to their same highschool, but aside from sharing a single class and sometimes detention, they’d never interacted; except for, apparently, Dream’s secret sign-up for fighting classes. Apparently, they’d both ended up in the same class, and as competitive as they both were they’d enjoyed having someone to fight against with the same type of passion. Fighting in class had led to training together, had led to sometimes sparring alone and well, once you had someone pinned or got pinned by someone to the floor enough times, it got a little easier to see that you thought the other guy was insanely hot. At least, for Punz. He’d taken a minute or two to consider his feelings, and then immediately launched himself into flirting with Dream. Not that it was that much of a difference with the sort of things he’d been saying before he’d realized, which in hindsight explained why their fighting instructor sometimes referred to them as ‘Lovebirds’.

Okay, so maybe Punz hadn’t been subtle at all, ever. But that just made it worse when, despite Dream blushing and sometimes flirting back at him, any actual attempts at anything were just ignored. He’d met Sapnap after he’d been by to pick Dream up, and apparently just the sight of him was enough for the other man to include him into their little pining club on the spot.

On the other hand, Fundy’s thing had been a bit more of a ‘wham bam thank you ma’am’ type thing, because the man had seen Dream after meeting him at the flower shop he worked at and then immediatly fallen stupid in love. Nobody could really judge him, but they did rib him hard anytime someone mentioned love at first sight, because for Fundy all it had taken was a single talk, a flower, and a smile, and he was part of the club. 

So there they were. Four single, hopelessly pining idiots, all of them madly in love with the same man, all of them trying their best for that man to fucking notice. It got so bad that Sapnap had officially declared them as ‘a pack of simps’, the name partly brought on by the constant furry jokes at Fundy’s expense. Sometimes they met up to brainstorm a way to confess, but a lot of the time it was just them, hanging out, joking and playing games and only sometimes bragging about something Dream had done with them (George was almost always on top of their unofficial list of brags, but the time that Dream had made Sapnap pancakes while shirtless had made more than one of them green with envy).

And of course, in the end, it all came to head with a couple of simple events, no plans, no elaborate confessions, nothing. When they’d recounted it all later, it was almost painful to see how stupid it was. 

Fact number one: All of them were loud people. They yelled a lot, they liked to say stuff that most people would probably blush with shame and hide away. They’d discussed, quite frankly, a lot of things that would’ve made old grannies have a heart attack. One of those topics tended to be Dream, because the title of simps had indeed not come out of nowhere, and they were all healthy, sometimes horny people with a crush the size of Russia on a man that wasn’t only hot, but regularly drove them crazy.

Fact number two: Up until Karl had offhandedly mentioned it to him one day, Dream had had no idea polyamory was even a thing.

Fact number three: One of Dream’s lectures had canceled unexpectedly, and he’d started heading back to his place before deciding to swing by Punz’s, just because. 

Fact number four: The ‘pack of simps’ had been meeting at Punz’s loft before planning to go meet up with Dream after his lecture ended, intending to go out for the night somewhere.

Fact number five: Dream had, apparently, been attracted to all of them right back. Maybe not from the very start, but almost. 

Fact number six: Apparently, a more apt title for all of them would have been ‘a bunch of dumbasses’, but they quite happily accepted ‘polycule’ instead.
