Brainrot: Y/N is XD's demigod child, sometimes XD just casually walks around the SMP and Y/N once simply said "hey dad" while XD just laughs before saying "Hi kiddo" and everyone in SMP is WTF? ! (XD is laughing his ass off at the mortals reaction while Y/N tries not to laugh).

I’m 100% here for the casual chaos, sorry this took so long to write 😅 I wanted to try writing in a headcanon format since it’s not something I normally do, so I’m sorry in advance if it’s bad

Summary: When you see your father, Dream XD, paying a visit to his server you decide to go say hi, thing is very few knew you were his kid… until now anyways…

Of course you never told your friends about your godly nature and powers, wanting to blend in as much as possible, but sometimes you’d secretly use your abilities for some extra fun

XD had decided to visit his server and see how well the mortals in it were thriving *cough*visit George*cough*

Cue you walking down prime path with the Bench Trio, casually passing the god

“Sup dad!”

He could hear the smirk in your voice, one of his own forming when the trio freeze in place, staring between you and XD

“Mornin’ kiddo.”

It didn’t take long after that for word to spread that you were XD’s kid

Tommy and Tubbo were flipping out bombarding you with questions while Ranboo scrambled to write everything he could into his memory book

You’re getting spammed messages from Sapnap, Quackity and Sam and you can hear the shock for you not having told them this news sooner

Bad, Wilbur and Karl are the ones who’ll go out of their way to find where you are and then proceed to ask you countless questions

Those like Foolish, Dream and George already knew about your status as a demigod by one means or another

With just about everyone freaking out over this “big” reveal you’re not even trying to hide your laughter at the ridiculousness

And XD is right there beside you having the time of his life watching everyone scramble to wrap their heads around the news

Once the initial shock has passed you’re a bit more open to using your godly powers around the SMP

The pranks, boy oh boy, the pranks you’re now able to get away with

People can say you’re the one who lifted their house 10ft off the ground but who’s to say for sure

On top of that you get more visits from Dream XD

He says it’s to make sure you don’t end up using your abilities to blow something up you’re not supposed to, but you know he secretly likes being able to visit you more often

Like I said, I’m still getting used to writing in a headcanon format but how was that for a first try? Anyways, I hope everyone has an awesome day

Child of dream was taken care of by sapnap since reader was 2 because dream is a horrible father and was only worried about power. He neglected his child and sapnap noticed, so he took reader in, and to no ones surprise, dream didn't notice nor care. When reader is like 9 they ask why they never see dream and sapnap is just like "oh you poor baby"

For as long as you can remember you have been referring to Sapnap as your dad

It's normally hard to remember things from the first few years you were born in

Sometimes you might remember glimpse of some moments

But you remembered absolutely nothing with you real dad, Dream, other then Sapnap himself

The reason for that is that Dream never paid attention to you

Even if you were his child and, basically, shared the same blood, he never cared

As the power he had over the SMP and the people who lived in it slipped from his hands, his mind was consumed with ways to get everything back under his control

Leaving you, his new born baby, at Kinoko Kingdom with Sapnap

Sapnap did everything he could to fill in that void that your biological father had left

He played with you, fed you, changed you, taught you how to speak and walk

He was there said your first word and when you took your first step

The things an actul father should do, he was doing them for you

You never questioned why he was here and not your actual dad, you were too young to even comprehend what was even happening

But by the time you were nine you started noticing stuff

The pictures of your dad and his two best friends that were left in a box under Sapnap's bed

The way Sapnap never mentioned your father and avoided his name like the plague

Whenever you would mention him, he would look at you with this heartbreaking gaze

Subconsciously telling you that it was a touchy subject, especially for someone your age

One day you even found him crying to Karl, his partner, about it

From that day on you stopped asking about Dream

And the more you grew up, the more you wanted nothing to do with him

You had a way better father who loved you anyway

neutral, chap. 24 (dream smp x reader)

series summary (in game!au) when an exiled tommy finally rebels against a manipulative dream, he finds safety in neutral territory, a place owned and guarded by you. staying in your safe haven opens up the younger one’s eyes to your way of life, while also revealing your deeper past before neutral; a past that involved a war for your love.

chapter summary you part ways with badboyhalo and punz. tommy and techno have a comfortable, open conversation about their past and present. sapnap brings news to george.

“will you be okay?” badboyhalo asked as punz wrapped you in a tight hug.

“yes,” you chuckled as the taller man lifted you from the ground before returning you gently to the same spot. “i’ve lived the nomad life before. for a long, long time.”

punz let go of you to look into your eyes. “don’t be afraid to find us if you need help. and if you’re ever in danger, well..” he shrugged. “you could always come ask the egg for advice.”

“you know i’ve never been able to hear that thing, punz,” you shook your head at him. you saw bad smile at your close pair out of the corner of your eye.

“i know,” he spoke gently. his smile made your chest feel embarrassingly hot. “the egg will lead us if it knows you need us.”

though you didn’t know how much you believed that, you pressed a kiss to the blonde’s cheek. “thank you, boys.” you let bad squeeze you in one last hug.

“stay safe, okay?” the hybrid spoke seriously. “stay away from l’manburg for a while. or anywhere dream would be.”

“that’s the plan,” you smiled, summoning your trident back to your hand. badboyhalo seemed giddy at the sight of it back in your hand; he had always loved that damned weapon, but only when it was with you. “i’ll see you boys soon enough.”

you all said one final goodbye before you could think of getting emotional and turned your separate ways. despite your sadness of parting with another sense of familiarity in your disorderly reality, your heart didn’t ache as you walked away from your favorite cultists. if anything, the interaction gave you more desire to hurry toward the man you could trust above all others.

technoblade should’ve been in bed.

but it was yet another late night, post-adventure for spider eyes. when thinking in retrospect about dream, techno thought it best to be stocked on potion materials in case of emergencies in invisibility and other cases. it had been a tired night for the both of them and primarily quiet as a result. but when they returned with enough of what they needed, they sat in the kitchen instead of heading to bed.

technoblade wordlessly made two cups of hot cocoa for them. the silence was no longer awkward as the first few days of tommy’s stay were; it had melded into something comfortable overtime, a comfort only shared by two brothers who understood each other’s thoughts in the moment. except that tommy could never predict the voices--not really.

“you know, i look up to you,” tommy offered after a while. technoblade’s eyes slowly drew up to the younger boy, who had seemed introspective all night. he wondered how long it took him to gain the courage to say those words. and suddenly, tommy looked embarrassed. “i, uh.. you’re my brother.” techno nodded, bringing his cup to his lips. “and you’re a total badass.”

techno let out an amused snort. “i am.” tommy smiled, turning his gaze away from the hybrid’s intimidating eyes. “go on.”

tommy shook his head as his brother snickered. after a moment of considering, tommy spoke, “and y/n always talked about you like you’re a saint, so..”

now he had really caught his attention. “she did?”

“yeah,” tommy sighed into his mug. “you’re a simp for asking, but yeah.” technoblade leaned to shove his shoulder and tommy let out a loud laugh. “she did, though! she always said you were strong and that she trusted you more than anything. and reading her journal, she said you made her feel safe.”

techno nodded. “you’re a creep for reading her journal.”

“hey!” tommy called out defensively as his brother laughed out again. there was a flush rising to his pale cheeks, but he grinned anyway. “she encouraged it! it was my way of learning about the war from someone i could actually depend upon for an accurate account of events.”

the hybrid shrugged knowingly. “fair enough.” he considered for a moment as tommy sipped his hot cocoa. “what’s ghostbur up to?”

if the question surprised tommy, he didn’t show it. “heading to king eret. they say..” tommy’s mind flooded with a thousand questions as he remembered his journeying friend. “they think they can revive him.”

technoblade nodded, “so he took the offer, eh?”

“you knew?”

“phil told me,” he explained. “when eret reached out to him with the idea, phil came and told me before he wrote back.” tommy nodded. “he’s trying not to get his hopes up--i can tell that much, but..” he sighed. “he’s a dad. dads love their kids.” tommy nodded again, gazing out the window to watch the clouds graze over the starry sky. “he’s happy you’re back, for the record.” he watched tommy blink a few times in surprise. “i mean, i’m great to be around, but i think phil gets some empty nest syndrome sometimes.”

“yeah,” tommy agreed quietly. “i mean, he already lost one child, and i kind of parted myself at the first opportunity.. he probably feels better knowing he can see me, that he gets to have me around instead of me running away.”

“and he’s proud of you, too, you know,” techno credited. the boy’s bright eyes turned to him. “ya don’t have the clearest conscience, but phil always finds a way to put a positive spin on everything you’ve done. it’s kinda annoying, actually.” but tommy was smiling too wide for techno to continue his complaints.

“‘m sure he does the same for you,” tommy offered and technoblade shrugged. “no, really! especially through all of y/n stuff, man. it’s hard not to be impressed by how much you truly-” the word love was on the tip of his tongue, but he dared not venture that far, “-protect and care for a person. at least, one that’s not family.” he said nothing as tommy raised his mug to his lips again. “now that’s what a real badass does.” technoblade snorted.

the voices were a dull lull in the back of his mind, but one rose to the front to speak, ‘you make that kid proud to be your brother.’ the idea warmed his chest more than he anticipated.

you reached a small sign post the following day. it was a helpful little thing, with three small wooden arrows carved with the name of villages, all pointing in varying directions. but your attention wasn’t initially on the signs. instead, your eyes were trained on the crow perched atop the post.

“i thought i saw you flying yesterday,” you hummed quietly, stopping when you were in front of the sleek creature. though the sign post was a little taller than you, the bird seemed to be turning its gaze to you all the same. you tilted your head at it curiously and laughed when it mimicked your action. “what are you doing so far from home?”

the birds neck craned in the slightest, beak jutting toward you. you slowly presented your flat palm, and the crow dropped its jaw. a small golden ring fell into your palm. it was a plain band, and far too big for your finger, but it made you smile. you knew it was more about the item reaching you than the item itself.

though it meant nothing to the avian, you held up a finger before going to rummage through your bag. you found a silver emerald ring at the bottom of your emerald pouch. you recalled philza being present when you had welded the small object, it being your first successful trial of welding jewelry; you had only saved it from the destruction for the sake of that memory. it was janky and uneven around the band, but that just reminded you all the more that philza would recognize it as yours.

you gave the crow a small piece of bread before offering it the ring. it took it into its beak to replace the one it had given you before squawking one last time and flying off.

you took a breath as you watched the crow fly among the tall tree tops before disappearing. you finally took the time to read the sign and assess the familiarity of the village names. you smiled when you saw a name that undoubtedly belonged to the tundra tribe. you took a calming breath before once again continuing your path.

george was continuously thankful for the way he lived after leaving dream. he was a more secluded man now, living out his days in an attempt at peace in l’manburg. there was little drama (personally, that is) in his life and yet still a lot of care, for and from the community and the people around him. he was beyond happy with his carefree arrangement in the nation he once fought to keep down.

but of course, a community like his did not come without interruptions. and george was less than surprised when sapnap arrived at his door.

“what’s the news?” george finally spoke after sapnap had settled at his kitchen table, watching as the older man brewed some tea for the both of them.

“y/n’s alive,” sapnap began. there was a pause in george’s actions and heartbeat as he continued, “fundy saw her in the nether. she didn’t tell him where she was headed next, but she was alright.”

when sapnap let out a hefty sigh and the water was effectively boiling, george turned to face his old friend. though it was warming to know that y/n was alright, the uncomfortable look on sapnap’s face was enough to unease him. “what’s the downside?”

sapnap finally lifted his eyes to george’s as he spoke, “dream did not blow up neutral, but.. maybe it would’ve been better if he had.” every word from therein was a needle in george’s chest. it looked as if it pained sapnap just as much to be telling the tale. sap looked desperate by the end of his telling, “i mean.. where do we even go from here, george? what can we do?”

there was a tense moment of somber consideration before the ear-splitting whistle of the kettle cut through the room. george was quick to take the kettle off and pour the boiling water into the awaiting cups as he considered his words carefully.

“he’s looking for her; we can be sure of that much,” george spoke quietly as he steeped the bags of fresh herbs. “the only thing we can really do is pray that wherever she’s heading is far outside of dream’s reach.” sapnap nodded as george placed his hot cup in front of him. after joining him at the table with a sigh, george offered, “there’s a few places that come to mind that she could’ve gone.. only one really sticks out, though.”

sapnap raised his eyebrows at him. “care to share?”

george’s lips drew into a thin line. “has anyone heard from technoblade?”

BIG OL’ TRIGGER WARNING

Suicide, major character death, lots of blood (omg so much blood), screaming, crying, throwing up (no but actually),just lots of angst lmao

This is a story crafted from the canon characters of the DSMP. While this is not based on the events of the lore, it is also not at all based on the real people. Also, Dream is in this story so if that makes you uncomfortable feel free to not read, I’ll see ya next time!

“Holy shit. Holy shit! Dream!” The tears began rolling down your cheeks as you watched the man who’d helped you through just about everything fall into a pool of lava. Sapnap holds you back as you attempt to run over to the blonde. You screamed and thrashed, begging him to let you go. He simply pulled you into his chest as you punched his chest, over and over. You screamed until you slouched to the floor from exhaustion. Sapnap simply knelt down with you and cried as well. It took a few minutes for him to calm down. He lifted you up to your feet and guided you out of the cave. Once the two of you reached the mouth you where only sniffling and dry heaving. George had been waiting for the both of you. As soon as he saw the both of you, he ran up to you and hugged you. “I’m so sorry y/n, I’m so so sorry.” You stayed in his arms until he let go, you wanted to scream, scream at George that it was all his fault, but you knew it wasn’t. He was just doing what he had to. Dream knew what was going to happen when he spoke up to Schlatt, and this was simply repercussions. “Y/n?” The voice you heard wasn’t George, or Sapnap, but Karl. He spoke again. “Hey y/n? Are you awake?” You sat up slowly. “Good morning sunshine” you nodded your head to Karl’s sad smile. “G’mornin doctor.” He sat down next to your cot. “You passed out, Sap brought you in and told me what happened, I’m so sorry kid” you smiled in acknowledgement and fell back onto the pillow behind you. “I’m guessing you don’t have any meds that can bring him back, huh?” Karl shakes his head. “Sadly not.” You sighed “I assumed” you began to swing your feet off of the cot. But as you stood up Karl placed his hand on yours. “Y/n, last time he was here it was after a nether incident. His boot laces got a bit scorched and I uhm, I still have the laces, if you want them.” You looked at him for a moment before responding, “yes please”. He got the laces out of a drawer. You took one and wrapped it around your wrist like a bracelet. You placed the other in your pocket. You then left the hospital and walked to Dream’s old house. You opened the door and walked to the guest room that had slowly morphed into your second bedroom. You grabbed a book and began to write your final good bye. As you finished your signature you heard the front door fly open and both George and Sapnap scream your name. You tried to hide the letter but George opened the before you could. “Y/N!” He flung himself onto you in a hug before seeing the paper. You tried to sway it away but George grabbed it and started reading. He teared up just as Sapnap walked in. While Sap took in the scene infront of him George finished reading the letter. Then the paper was handed to Sapnap and George wrapped his arms around your torso. “Y/N, please, I can’t lose you to. You’re all I have left of him, please, please we love you so much” you started crying to. Sapnap just leaned back and slid down the wall with tears streaming down his face silently. He then looked to you and George and walked over to the both of you. Sapnap lightly unwrapped George around you and lifted you up like he would when you where younger. You wrapped your legs around him and put your nose into his shoulder. He started quietly humming and swaying the both of you to his song. Not long after George wrapped his arms around both you and Sap. The three of you where just…there. It felt safe though. Your little family may have shrunken but it was still unbreakable.

Like it made sense that the boys ended up together, you spent too many calls w any of them talking about how they felt about the other

Karl: you know we've been friends for a while now and I trust you

Even tho you having no problems with helping your boys with their love drama, something inside of you always wanted to you run away, like something is not right. But we'll ignore it

The moment they kissed was the moment everything unfolds itself, the fear of fuckin up a beautiful friendship was gone and they couldn't be apart from each others

That was the same moment you put a name on what you felt during those calls, jealousy

Now that they hugged, kissed and flirted 24/7 and you were left just like 🧍

Realizing that when Dream talked about how much he needed George with him, and how much he wanted to kiss him, all that support was actually a "I also want that, but it will come sooner than you think it will"

That when you held Sapnap, who always came to you upset about Karl flirting or kissing another person, it wasn't just a supportive friend actitud more like "I feel the same, come hug with me so we can calm down"

But what hurts the most was the nagging feeling in your head, that convinced you that they were better without you, they are a couple you are their adopted friend who they go out with and buy them stuff

That feeling pushed you to stop visiting Dream's house, or avoiding Karl's stream invitation

The boys were really upset about this change, they were so used to your voice, jokes and pretty face that your absence was loud

George: Hey, have you guys hear about Y/N? They promised that they would be with me when the vlog we made was being edited

Karl: They are streaming with Corpse today! I can try to help you instead

Sapnap: Corpse is not streaming today he is sick 🙄

Karl: But we just talked and they told me that. I'll check

Karl: ... Corpse is not streaming
