I think Ranmaru's description of not feeling passionate about anything + having jealousy issues when it comes to seeing other kids his age being happy is a nice bit of context to his character (that isn't apart of a deleted scene or something) that kinda explains why he was so intense about being useful to Sara. When the only person in the world that makes you feel more than indifferent seems in trouble, you would want to help them right? You'd want to be useful right?

random and specific headcanons for yttd characters:

Mishima: can’t ride a bike and doesn’t want to know how.

Kai: actually doesn’t really like horror films, especially if they have a bunch of gore.

Joe: is oddly good at braiding hair. he braided sara’s once for fun and just found it was a skill.

Alice: goes to the doctor once every like, 3 years.

Reko: wanted to learn how to skate but fell once and decided she didn’t like it anymore.

Nao: is the worst driver ever. she has her drivers license but nobody knows how she got it.

Shin: has asthma.

Kanna: is good at building desks and stuff, but is still scared she’ll hit her finger with a hammer or something.

Q-taro: broke his own window with a baseball. not his childhood home window, no HIS window in HIS house.

Keiji: man has coughing fits like 3 times a day. he got it checked out and apparently there’s nothing wrong with him, he just coughs a lot.

Gin: picked up a stray cat and hid it in him room for a solid week without getting caught.

Sara: considered dyeing her hair brunette once, but decided against it bc she photoshopped it onto a picture of herself and hated it.

Ranmaru: has terrible allergies. like don’t let pollen touch him he’ll cough and sneeze the rest of the day and night.

Anzu: uses to have her ears pierced but they didn’t heal probably because she’s impatient and took them out early. also got them done at claire’s lmao.

anyway as it’s (finally!) the christmas month and i have severely not spoken about headcanons for so many muses on this blog, please take an unprompted, disorganised list of christmas headcanons for my muses as i slowly get back on track for everything!

despite never having been in an official, lasting relationship. leon absolutely dreams of completing the couples customs at christmas. it’s especially around christmas time when he works himself up from his latest crush, in order to try and convince them to share the holiday spirit and season together. for the past few years, this has failed, but he does manage to score one date during his time at hope’s peak ... the girl is junko, of all people. but even if it’s a ploy to get closer to him, leon finds it one of the most enjoyable times he can remember.

daiya found chuck in the days between christmas and new year, as a gift abandoned at the last minute. the crazy diamonds helped him find a big bow for the puppy, and when at that party. one of his favourite moments ( and photos ) is an image of a young mondo being handed such a special gift for absolutely everyone to see.

akane is known to be a lot more active when it comes to christmas, to the point she enters a lot of competitions around the christmas period so that in the end she earns enough money to supply her siblings with a small party and christmas cake. a lot of gifts are shared items, and sometimes the cake has a very recent best before date, but their smiles make everything much more worth it, so much so that they usually end up spending the night of christmas day dancing their time away.

despite his usual personality, byakuya really wishes christmas was much more popular in japan. on the outside, for the reality of collecting more money for business, and for the inside because he’s seen how much happier his mother is when gifted something, the face of his father when the profits increase in turn. he doesn’t like thinking about it when asked, though.

if there’s one person who enjoys christmas traditions around the world the most out of my muse list, it’s rantaro. having experienced the opportunity to travel around the world means he has experienced more than a fair share of feats, including but not limited to the northern lights in iceland, little christmas in norway and the opportunity to eat oplatek in poland on christmas eve.

joe always spends christmas night with his friends, and is 9/10 the one who will end up buying kfc for them all. it’s a tradition he grew with sara, which quickly had ryoko invited. he wouldn’t have it any other way, really. there’s nothing more enjoyable than being able to spend a holiday with those he cares about the most.

christmas cakes is actually one of kai’s particular specialities. he’s not very good at making a standard santa, to which mr choudin supplies looks more like a demon but it’s a cute little knick - it contrasts with q-taro with all the kids at the orphanage, though. who can make a super cool santa out of icing dough, but always seem to add something to a cake that no doubt makes it both bust and inedible in all unsalvageable ways.

in terms of christmas favourability, it’s a variability when it comes to my oc’s. kiaria loves the idea of christmas as a concept, despite it not being very traditionally celebrated in japan, she has read more than enough tales to grow a rapid curiosity. whereas shinobu would rather let it go by in favour of celebrating the new year period. mitsuyo will tell you he hates it, and he does in theory, but he does think christmas baubles are pretty. just not the light, and the carelessness people have with it. tsuki is indifferent unless his company finds themselves indifferent, and then he tends to enjoy the festivities as they are. tarek is a very avid enjoyer of christmas, and will find himself participating in as many festivities as possible, his mother brought the traditions with her and he isn’t quite ready to let those go just yet.

kuro comes from a time period where christmas wasn’t hailed as popular in england, but as time grew on, so did his enjoyment. so much so, that in 1647 when christmas was ‘cancelled’ even he, way out in the forest away from society, found a sense of disappointment at the fact. ever since his wake up, he has definitely fallen in love with the improvements that have taken place for the period.

ildio has a dream that one day all the serv.amps will sit together and have christmas dinner as a proper family. something in which has only grown since his accompiment with the mafia. him and lawless have spent a fair few together, however, even in the period in which the latter refused to move if only for the younger to sit by his hedgehog form and tell him how good the food actually tastes.

youtarou grew to absolutely love christmas the moment he moved to london. it’s a busy time of year, and people seem to always be more demanding and in need of his services, but there’s nothing more enjoyable than being able to walk around a christmas market in the rain, or simply even getting to decorate the christmas tree when december finally hits. he’s not too keen on the amount of cooking he ends up having to do, though, but it’s worth it when there’s a smile on his companies face.

the muse who celebrates christmas, and all it’s traditions, the most is unsurprisingly licht. who holds an even bigger celebration due to his birthday being on the 24th. if on concert, all his tours are mainly focused to being in austria, where he will try his best to complete his advent calendar, bake some christmas biscuits and even try to celebrate st nicholas day. the biggest tradition of all ends up being, perhaps, his determination to attend as many christmas markets as possible. meaning that tours in the most recent of years have become fairly unattainable, the whole season booked out for time with those he cares about, christmas tradition or simply even getting to enjoy a time to indulge in himself, above everyone else.

I mainly draw Mishima cause..well.. he's my favorite character and there isn't a lot of content of him but I'll start drawing the others to have some more variety and cause there are other characters I like too :)
