The souls next to her belong to Sans (blue / yellow) and Toriel (purple/orange) -> [ purple because her clothes are purple and orange because of her fire powers]

About the flowers: Most of them symbolize childhood.

We have a pansy, a gardenia, a lily, daisies, sunflowers, dandelions (they symbolize childhood)

The roses symbolize love.

The tulips symbolize love as well (parental etc). We have a blue tulip (Sans) a purple (Toriel) tulip and a bicolor tulip (Sarafina).

Sarafina always dreamed of having a big family. Even affter Mheshimiwa death's and Rego cheating on her, she never stopped pursuing that dream. That's why she accepted bearing Scar's heir. But after Scar never accepted to recognize Mheetu as his son, her dream stopped. She still loved her cubs though and focused on protecting them. So when Ni appeared and saved Nala from Scar's hyenas she got interested in him. And so did Ni. He told Sarafina that a nearby pride that used to have alliance with The Pridelands has sent him to help and check how things were going. Ni suggested her to leave with him and with her cubs. But Sarafina couldn't. She had a duty with the pride and she wouldnt leave Sarabi alone, dealing with Scar. So Ni promised to come back for her when he was stronger and could challenge Scar.

Ni did come back, but things were already handled by Simba. Sarafina has lost hope on seeing Ni again so when he showed again she got happy to see a nice familiar face. The Pridelands were still healing from Scar's reign so once again, Ni suggested for her to leave with him and see the world. Sarafina hesitated but after Mheetu returned and with a little push from Nala, Sarafina accepted to leave. Sure she wouldn't be able to have more cubs, but she didnt care: she finally have found someone that loved her.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is what I meant to post for Valentine's day. And a little explanation of why Sarafina isn't in the second film.

Btw, Ni's mane is small not because he is younger than Sarafina but because he is a trans male lion.

Tlk is on the brain again so I thought I’d share some of my human AU headcanons for Scar.

Also I want to point out that I do not self ship with Scar (because well he’s a lion). He is just a huge comfort character.

Anyway let’s get into it

Scar can speak both English and Swahili fluently. Even though he hates tradition, he stays connected to his heritage.

He has musical talent. He can sing really well and has perfect pitch. He plays piano and guitar. He doesn’t sing much as much as he did when he was younger because he gets all shy about it. (Don’t ask how I came up with this because I don’t even know it just came to me lol)

He’s pretty much in constant pain all the time, whether it be physical or mental. It’s usually both. He has a weak stomach. He has to be careful what he eats or it’ll make him sick. I’m contemplating what kind of food intolerance he has. Maybe it’s a combination of different things. His body is naturally thin but this makes him even skinnier. He gets migraines often. He has a bad back that will give out at random times without warning. And this man has some serious daddy issues/trauma so you know he’s a little messed up in the head. He’s his own worst enemy though. Anytime his family tries to help he just pushes them away. He’s also the king of inferiority complexes.

Music is a release from the pain. It’s his outlet. It hurts him to play his guitar standing up so he has to sit down but he’s just grateful he’s still able to play. If he ever lost the ability to play either of his instruments he’d be devastated.

I know I’ve said before that I love Scar x Zira but I’m not too sure now. In my hc they’re more like that couple that should be divorced but won’t because they have kids. The only reason Scar stayed with her was because he was desperate and lonely and Zira needed money and stability. They had a lot in common and there was genuine love at first but it faded out over time. Zira was obsessed with him but Scar wasn’t as devoted because deep down he’s still holding on to memories from a previous relationship. Angry about the subtle rejection, over time Zira built up resentment towards Scar.

I really like Scar x Sarafina. I know it wouldn’t have worked out in the end but it’s adorable while it lasts. Sarafina was his first love. They were young and happy together. But when Scar started to go down a dark path, she had to break it off. This broke his heart. He was so desperate for someone to fill the void that he just settled for Zira. He admires her loyalty but it’s just not the same.

''Oh, it is I who should be thankful, Mheetu. Now, let's get back-''

''Mheetu. Get back here.''

At first I didn't really have any particular story in mind for this drawing, I just felt like drawing Scar, a character I don't draw often, interacting with Mheetu, Nala's little brother. However, I slowly began to make up a story to go along with this as the drawing took shape.

This could either take place before or during Scar's reign. Scar, being the horrible lion that he is, would seek to ''befriend'' Mheetu in order to kill him later in secret, I guess partially inspired by how male lions tend to kill most or all cubs in a pride after taking over it. One day, a parched Mheetu finds that all the lionesses, including his mother Sarafina, have gone on a hunt and he really wants a drink, but cannot find Zazu to accompany him to the watering hole, so he has no option but to approach Scar and ask him for help. Scar accepts with a devious smile, and helps him get there, with the intention to kill him when they're far away enough from Pride Rock, but a suspecting Sarafina sees them and immediately asks her son to come back to her.

Don't worry, Mheetu never dies, as Sarafina from that day on made extra sure to not allow her children to get any close to the tyrant.

I had a lot of fun with the background! I used various references from both the film and TLG, and I know I still suck at drawing rocks, but learning how to draw trees has been really satisfying <3
