You wanna know something that's kinda funny to me?

The fact that in Naruto when we meet his parents it's literally spelled out for us that they are a direct parallel to Sakura and Naruto.

And at the time, everyone (wether they wanted it to happen or not) thought that this meant that narusaku was going to be end game.

And then they weren't

I think about this often when the hyper fixation is hyper fixationing and I can't stop analysing every little detail and looking for meaning in everything.

Especially bc most of the time i am giving the authors more credit than they're due.

Hello, I have a question. I was wondering if that's weird that I can see Sakura with both Sasuke and Naruto? I love SS, the Uchihas are probably my favourite family in Boruto, but at the same time, I like her with Naruto? But... not just Naruto, as I feel I'm "betraying" SS, but BOTH Sasuke AND Naruto? I can't ship Sasuke/Naruto, not because they're boys, but because of this reincarnation thing and them being "brothers". But kinda like SS and SN but at the same time? 1/2

You're saying that you ship sasusakunaru (or narusasusaku it has so many variants). It's pretty popular so it's okay if you like a poly ship. It makes sense to me because Naruto loved Sakura and Sakura loves Sasuke so the triangle is complete; as well as Sasuke loving Sakura and Naruto having strong feelings of friendship towards Sasuke. It works fine.

I get what you mean by "betraying" because when I travel to my little nejisaku world I have to pretend Sasuke doesn't exist because I feel like he's misplaced in a life without Sakura, and it doesn't help that my mind can't see him with anybody else because of himself and the number of times he has rejected girls with a disgusted face. You can do that with Hinata and pretend she's not there, it's your little imaginary world. Or just ship her with other people, I heard Kiba and Toneri are popular side ships.

My favorite SasuSakuNaru hc is that the three of them are all poly and into each other but they realize it at different points of their life and it's like a big mess and they think they missed their chances cuz they all got married and had kids and all. But somehow after many life trials, it's only like in their 40s and/or 50s that they really get together.

For Sasuke, he's actually the first one to actually want to be in a poly relationship. He's had a massive crush on both Sakura and Naruto (not that he'd admit until much much later in his 30s when he and Sakura are having a heart-to-heart) but when he his tiny 13 year old self thought of love, it's with both Sakura and Naruto holding a hand of his each

So for Sakura, she was a little confused. She started with a crush on Sasuke and went on to genuinely love him while her feelings for Naruto grew much later when they reunited in shippuden. When Sakura confessed to Naruto, it was actually true but at the same time, she knew she loves Sasuke too. But since Naruto insisted she loves Sasuke and she did love Sasuke, she thought whatever it was with Naruto wasn't romance. Until Sasuke talked about it one fine night.

It becomes a conversation they talk about often but they know Naruto is already married with kids and a new one he adopted so SS would just have to suck it up

Except somewhere maybe in their late 30s to early 40s, Naruto and Hinata get divorced (not on bad terms BTW, more of loss of feelings as well as complexities they couldn't bother with since Hinata became the vice head of the Hyuga when her father died with Hanabi as the head and Naruto was still busy with being Hokage and they kinda drifted). For a few years, Naruto threw himself to his work but when he did retire, he didn't know what to do

Cue into their 50s, Sakura and Sasuke invite him to go vacation — but *drumroll* there is only one bed. Naruto is forced into the middle with Sasuke and Sakura taking both edges of the bed. He'd be a little overwhelmed at first but he soon appreciates how SS tries to keep him in the loop (THEY ARE FLIRTING WITH YOU NARUTO THEY WANNA DATE YOU) at some point in their vacation sprees, he gets asked to sleep with them and he kinda assumes it was like when there was one bed— but then he exists the shower room in one of his worst pajamas and immediately regrets it :)

For Naruto, he'd be very oblivious about it but when SS do show him their feelings and how this has all been planned for quite awhile, he is overjoyed by it. But perhaps on a deeper level, he kinda can't believe he is loved like this (no questions asked on his feelings for Sasuke and Sakura) but their feelings for him? For Naruto, love and admiration is always earned— as a savior, as a hero, as a hokage. He has had to work extra to gain it. So now when he's finally done being hokage when he is no longer trying to earn affection, for it to be freely given by Sakura and Sasuke just makes his heart flutter.

Sakura happily rubbed her hand over her swollen stomach. She was carrying twin Uchiha babies by Sasuke this time. There was nothing Sakura loved more than gifting her mates with children. Her looks never went back to normal. Naruto’s feral fox nature rubbed off on her. Pointed ears, stripes on her face, slit eyes and sharpen teeth and claws. Her pretty pink hair has grown out quite a bit reaching the center of her back now. Sasuke and Naruto spoiled her with nice dresses and clothes they looked good even while she was pregnant.

Currently she was home alone. Her two mates went out to get some things. Sakura had left her job to be a full time at home mother. Not wanting to leave her babies side’s. Besides that, she was fairly heavily pregnant, it wouldn’t be safe for her to work anyway.

Sakura perked up at the sound of the front door. She came out holding one of their sons. She had just finished nursing him. She gave the two of them a big smile, “Welcome home! My, you both were out for a while.”
