Excerpt from Zohar: The Book of Enlightenment, translated by Daniel Chanan Matt. ‘The Accuser’, I believe, would be what we know as “Satan” in modern Judaism. This figure is seen as a servant of the Divine here - not Christianity’s defiant rebel and father of evil, but more like the necessary prosecutor in a court case (or possibly the head of God’s Internal Affairs department).
