I'M JUST FUMMING.

I brazillian Mlvn (and F*llie) youtuber made a video with "unpopular opinions", and she said Will's love for Mike only exists to introduce his sexuality, and that the perfect closure for him is just to be accepted by family and friends, and look at a handsome boy at the end.

Does she think that this show is made for a 90s audience or something? Because, ok, saying that you think Will's arc is gonna end like that is a thing, but saying that would be a PERFECT ending for him, and that people should be satisfied with literal crumbs???? Dude???

It's 2023! An ending like that would be satifying some decades ago, not today. Actually, an ending like that wouldn't be even close of how Dawson's Creek (a mainstream show from the 90s and an inspiration for the Duffers) dealed with Jack McPhee's queerness. The Duffers would be just doing the bare minimum.

Hets are something else. They say shit like that, and then call themselves allies. Sometimes it sounds like "Gays are ok as long as they know their place. Don't expect anything better than this in an non-LGBTQ show."

I have been seeing a lot of 100 day productivity challenge posts and I have been starting to kinda want to try it out myself.

So, according to what I have read, 100 day productivity challenge is basically committing to doing at least one productive thing for 100 days and document it however one likes.

On OnHabits_01, I shared some interesting Youtube videos that talked about habit tracking, and I am intrigued to try to test some of them out and how they work together.

Below is a list of possible steps I might be taking so I have something to guide myself with throughout this. Here we go!

step 1: choose the habits you want to track. Preferably not more than 3 at a time, especially at the start.

step 2: Choose different versions of accomplishing the habit: show-up version (keep the habit alive) > minimal effort version (when there's no really much motiviation to do much) > satisfying version (an ok-standard version) > ideal version (the ultima goals version).

step 3: Make the habit flexible by choosing different alternatives to accomplishing the goal (e.g.: if the goal is reading, then alternative versions of reading could be: book, newsletter, audiobook...).

step 4: Assign scores for each version in the system. (show-up =1, minimal =2, satisfying =3, ideal =4). With these scores, we calculate the average score for each week for each habit, and then the total score for each month.

step 5: Create a pie chart with the percentage of days one has done different versions for the habits. This way, we can visualize if the habit is actually becoming part of our behavior or not. If the satifying/ideal version is done in at least 80% of the days, it is slowly becoming a habit.

Next post on this series will be the use of these steps to create my own goals of productivity, since I want to start tomorrow. Coincidentally is December 1st, so it seems like a nice thing to start the first day of the month :)

Whoa, I totally forgot to do my Beavis and Butthead end of season ranking. Guess I'll do it now! Ranking from best to worst and my opinions under the cut.

Take a Bow - Definitely my favourite episode of the season. Honestly, I was expecting more stuff like this after DTU, since the movie leaned into their friendship so hard. Actual introspection on Butthead's character is always welcomed.

Hunting Trip - Felt so much like a classic episode! Loved the simple concept. Super funny and lots of cute drawings of the boys was a plus.

Sleepover - Again, just a really fun episode. Both boys felt super in character, and I loved the little details like Butthead dropping the puzzle pieces into his tea. The ending with Beavis as Cornholio and Butthead stealing the game console were super satifying.

Married - I feel like this was the episode everyone was hyped for. And it totally delivered. Again, just a really simple concept, and Beavis and Butthead's reactions to the scenario felt really natural.

Vasectomies: - Mostly putting this one next because I LOVED their fantasies about having kids. Really cute. Really funny. The episodes built on these simple concepts like 'Beavis and Butthead do X' usually work the best IMO.

Needle Dicks- Loved this one! Beavis with all the needles in his face was such a funny visual, and Butthead being afraid of needles was a nice touch to his personality, and also worked really well for the plot of the episode and gave him some actual motivation for not wanting to see Beavis like that.

Warehouse - Beavis and Butthead work at an amazon warehouse. It practically writes itself.

Pranks - Just a cute, classic feeling episode.

Stolen Valour - Such a funny episode! Maybe a little convoluted, but still overall very funny.

Breeding Frenzy - Again, just a simple concept done well. i liked the callback to last season, and the ending was cute.

The Ciabatta Zone - I liked this one. I liked that Butthead actually got to have something good happen to him in the plot, and Beavis' costume was just hilarious.

Abduction - Overall, the plot was okay. Mostly what was great were just the Smarts interactions. And honestly, the music video segments were really what made this episode!

Pardon Our Dust - Butthead yielding his time to Mr. Beavis made me lose it.

The Warrior - idk man. This episode started out strong and then just got worse and worse. Just kind of fizzled out into nothing.

Hoarders - I actually liked this episode. It was really funny. The ending just felt unnecessary and kind of ruined it.

The Day Butthead Went Too Far - The presentation was...interesting I guess. I hated the portrayal of Butthead in this episode. Can we force the writers to watch the original series? Anyways, the presentation i felt also took away from the joke. Beavis thinking he's hiring hitmen when he's really hiring painters could be funny, but the presentation ruined the joke.

Personally, I'd love to see the appellation of "relaxing and satifying" applied to some Hanna-Barbera videos as aren't exactly in the vein of a typical episodic experience, but could get to be interesting. As in, for starters:

Some "bloopers" and "fails" from Yogi Bear's varied attempts at purloining tourist picnic baskets, especially where Ranger Smith is somehow on the sidelines

Top Cat and clowder on Catalina Island for a diving escapade with the Catalina Diving Clowder, with some amusing episodes ... as well as some hilarious moments at the legendary Farmer's Market in Hollywood making Candid Camera look silly

Peter Potamus relating some unusually romantic moments with a dolphin while diving, and in the tow of nieces Pamela, Peggy and/or Penelope

From Penelope Pitstop, the sheer sensation of her in the old he'e nalu of the Hawai'ian from the perspective of a GoPro camera as she glides through "da green room"

Fails and blunders caught at Banana Splits and Cattanooga Cats concerts, with hilarious consequences, including hilarity galore at backstage after-show buffet tables

The Divin' Wolf Pups (Bon-Bon and Ding-a-Ling) getting a little more than they bargained for in a diving experience pre-breakfast once--between the legs, even (as per Snagglepuss)

The hot-spring escapades of teenage Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm getting a little too prehistorically romantic, but in that Hanna-Barberian way of "projecting warmth and good feelings"

A post-orgy diving session with the Hair Bear Bunch at Camp Volkswagen during their mating season road trip which only gets unbelievably weird when a mermaid makes romantic overtures towards Hair Bear especially (and plays along)

GoPro-camera videos of the Skatebirds proving the meme about "unless you're the lead bird, the scenery never changes"

The King and Sheena taking the bodysurfing at their beach bungalow in a rather fascinating manner

Kwicky Koala passing around a box of Chicken Flavour Arnott's Shapes crackers during a beach day with some close friends of the koala persuasion, only to see the whole quickly run out ahead of a sausage sizzle

Some fascinating vignettes from in and around Trolltown, as explained and narrated by Pixlee Trollsom "herself" to explain such a fascinatingly whimsical closeness to Nature which trolls are fond of

Now THESE would be the kind of "relaxing and satisfying" online videos us Old Hanna-Barberians would enjoy seeing, even if such might need to be of a fanimation sort. Who's with me, at least in concept?

in no particular order tbh i have:

Horizon Zero Dawn - this game.... man.... it's been ages since i first played it. i wish i could delete the memory from my brain so i could experience it for the first time all over again. Aloy is such a good character with like actual strengths and flaws that bring her up and weight her down at the same time. and that lore progression!!! finding out what happened to the planet was so satifying and so well paced that when that cutscene where elisabet sobeck is explaining project zero dawn my mouth was on the fucking floor. also and lastly that machine design?? the aesthetic??? unmatched!

Hades - this game is just fun and addictive. i love the possibilities for builds as you go through the underworld. Zagreus is an amazing character, he's so funny and relatable. i can also be in a threesome with 2 people who could step on me which is a bonus. the art style of the game is also gorgeous and the dialogue system and the story are all amazing.

The Last of Us Part I - will forever come to mind when talking about video games. i just find joel's journey from ruthless survivalist after losing his daughter to actually finding a reason to LIVE in caring for Ellie, one of the most memorable storylines from any video game i've played. also clicker scary i love it very much.

Ken Follet's Pillars of the Earth - it's a fun little book inspired multiple choice game. it's very charming and the art style is very cool and it even has cool music. i will replay it several times a year because it really is such a fun and more on the short side experience.

A Plague Tale Innocence and Requiem - what can i say i haven't cried like this in years. i played them almost back to back when Requiem came out and omg the game threw a child at me and went YOU WILL TAKE CARE OF HIM AND YOU WILL CARE AND WE WILL GIVE YOU ANXIETY OVER IT! and they did!!! the game has this mechanic where you hold Hugo's hand and he gets anxious if you don't but as both games went on I was the one getting anxious whenever that kid was out of sight. the story is so tragic but so full of beautiful happy moments and the characters are lovely. 10000/10 would sob over a fictional child for 3 hours again.

I drew lifeline Drinking from a Juice box for a video I was doing in MS paint and made a gif of it.

Notes:

In the video, I was using a pheonix kit which was purple, it was a half second of dead time I left in between "goofs" and I decided it was a "juice break"

The original idea was to just have her sitting there kicking her feet but that wasn't something I thought I could do. This led to me making a gif of lifeline drinking juice, the problem was I couldn't quite get her eyes to look right. So I just kept trying shit until I liked it. I ended up liking the beady eyes, so I animated them looking left and right. Didn't really like how mean it made her seem, so I added some bigger eyes for a second and it ended up making her look like she noticed something.

(Original gif, drawn and animated by me) I input the original gif into the video (queued for later today) and wasn't satified with it, so i started messing around with a torso. The original idea was a cute chibi thing where I'd hide her lack of arms behind the juice box, but the angle of her lips and the box meant I only hid one arm. I tried to make her arm stick out at an angle as if she was leaning back and it didn't really work, it looks like she's holding onto somthing. So my current thought process is: what if I put D.O.C there? I also want to re-visit the idea of her feet kicking, but they'd probably wag side to side. During this time I noticed she had no hair comming out from under her bandana and made an attempt to fix that. Once I had her arms, I knew I needed her shirt, once I had her shirt I knew I needed her booba, once I had that I knew her arms would need tattoos and basically it descended into "What can I draw, what am I willing to draw, how much can I leave out and still have it be lifeline." Her arm is supposed to have something on it, and her earpeice should have a coil emitting from it, but I would have drawn that and it would have led to no where. So for the current version it's left out. Hair is stupid hard for me, I tried several things for her buns and I'm not sure it wasn't smarter to just leave them plain red, I might take out the hair lines in future versions. I added the IV bag, and left out her pouch on her leg because that would simply be too much, what I'm thinking is, I re draw it, and I add DOC.

Her feet could waggle back and forth Her hip pocket and odd hand placement could be hidden by D.O.C. being there. And if he's just "sleeping" and perks up in the same frame she does, it might seem like they're scouting the battlefield or something. Idk it's a lot of effort for something that ultimately was for literally a 2 second part of a clip. In the end I'm happy with it, it's a bit messy (oh lord even as I look at it her hairline jumps right above her ear, my fault for trying to color select and copy and paste it. Typically all the drawing is done in MS paint and the head, the juice box, and the body are all separate elements. The head is easier to line up, so all I have to change are the eyes. Then just layer them and assemble them in GIMP, then export as a gif. I dunno if I'm going to work on a version 3 or not.

Satisfaction, what gives you that? Is it finishing a game, finishing your daily workout, knowing you provided for your kids? What gives you satisfaction is it being helpful to others, is it completing your daily workload, or is it going on vacation, or even maybe eating at your favorite restaurant. What is it, think about how much joy that gives you to do that. Think about how complete and happiness you feel when you get that amazing satisfaction.

Jesus said this to his disciples: “My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work”. He was telling them I have great joy in doing the will of God; this is how we should be; we should have great joy in figuring out his will for our lives ; we should have satisfaction knowing that we pleased God, but what happened is we allow the things of this world to give us more satisfaction.

When we read our word and we make the word a priority, it becomes the fire we need to burn off the fleshly things that’s attached it self to us; we won’t have the desire of the world; we will have a desire for the things from above, what we should be walking in ,and having satisfaction from is righteous living, but as long as we are giving our selves to this world, it’s no way we will have that desire it won’t be there at all.

“John 6:38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me.”

Here it is, and again, Jesus said I am here to do the will of God who sent me! Not his own will; when we grow in our walk with Christ, we must be more willing to let go of our will and say I’m not doing things my way; I'm not counting on this to give me satisfaction. I’m not counting on that to give satisfaction, I’m not counting on him or her to do it . I want the will God to give me that! Drinking a bottle of tequila used to make my weekend, and playing video games, but what gives me satisfaction now is drinking of the living water and not pouring shots but pouring hours into studying the word of God; when we give ourselves over to God, this world shouldn’t make us crave anything but heaven.

Job 23:12 I have not departed from the commandment of his lips; I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my portion of food.”

Job said this too, he said the commandment of God has not departed from his lips and that he treasured them more than food. That says a lot about someone if they pick growing and obey God over a meal, and that’s what Job is saying; he says I have not allowed the commandments of God to leave me because it’s what gives me satisfaction! It’s what gives me more! It’s what gives me footing in my daily life; it’s what gives me self-control when I’m out of control.

Life can give us all kinds of satisfaction, all kinds of short-lived peace, and short-lived happiness, but the love of God and his will will always give us more than we could ever imagine; it can give us true peace! It can give us true satisfaction, and it can give us more than we could ever imagine because God wants to give us something that lasts more than just a moment! He wants to give us something that gives us deep satisfaction that we never had before.

When we give into his will and, accept him, and desire him more than anything, we can have that, but we must first give more of ourselves into him!
