realizing that even before i knew i was therian/that this was "a thing" i was signalling to everyone that i was otherkin by putting shit like "goat dog thing" in my bio because it "felt right," having *no* idea how correct i was
finding divinity in art and nature is one of the best things i’ve ever tired to do. gaining enlightenment from brushstrokes on a canvas, from harmonies in your favourite song. looking the gods straight in the eye when you gaze down a forest pathway, or finding sacred knowledge in secret gardens. it’s the closest thing to Elysium we’ll ever see without dying.
They have a headbutting match. The dragon pretends it couldn't knock the satyr over in a heartbeat. The satyr knows this, but also sometimes gets an excited twinge of nearly believing they could actually beat the dragon in a headbutting match.
The dragon gives the satyr a tour of its many collections and shiny things. The satyr is flabbergasted when the dragon carefully pulls a bronze locket from a collection of old jewelry - a gift from it's preciously guarded, diligently maintained collection.
The Satyr ventures through the woods in areas the dragon doesn't feel comfortable navigating, fearing itself too uncourtly. It brings back bundles of little forest goodies as gifts - foraged flora and bones, maybe some abandoned trinkets. The dragon is honored and promptly arranges them in their respected areas, perhaps spending much longer than anticipated finding just the right spot. The satyr stands back and gives their opinion once in a while, filling with pride to have given something worthy of such tender care.
The dragon lights a fire for them as the night creeps in. This dragons collects stories as well as trinkets, and so uses its flame and smoke to cast tricks to impress the satyr as it tells it's tales of adventure, curiosity, sometimes strife, but inevitably joy as well.
Though the satyr be impulsive, it sees beauty everywhere, and though the dragon be ungraceful, it shares warmth at every opportunity. They find friendship in kindness they share where others have not.
Satyr/Faun Euphoria is walking on tip toes, playing in the grass and woods, dancing around a camp fire, bouncing/jumping and stomping. Being allowed to hoot and holler and be wild. It's wearing parachute pants or not wearing a shirt, wearing horns, playing music, having a good time with wild friends. It's running barefoot and having a tail and ears you can wiggle.
my favorite hobbies in terms of giving me kin/therian feelings are whittling, playing instruments like jawharp and ocarina and collecting things like bones, stones and driftwood. It just feels so good to dive into these activities and let myself forget about human routine
