The role of the shark in our oceans is to keep our ecosystems healthy and in balance! This is critically important as over 50% of the air we breathe and over 70% of the food we eat comes from our oceans! Without sharks our Oceans would collapse and this would cause our own demise as well! So why have we allowed shark populations to collapse? Greed for money! Although our species claims to be intelligent, we are the only species that destroys our only home! Presently over 90% of the large sharks are already gone and over one third of the shark species are listed with some type of endangered status. We must end their needless slaughter! Since 2002 I've been using love and affection to gain the sharks trust in order to remove their hooks! I've removed hundreds of hooks from 9 species so far! Infact I removed another one this past trip! For the last 7 years I've been teaching my guests how to make friends with sharks without feeding them with tremendous success!
