I feel like crying. my doctor diagnosed me with a torn hamstring, but 5 months later I’m thinking it may actually be sciatica......meaning all the physical therapy I’ve been doing has been significantly worse/more harmful than doing nothing at all.

my physical therapist asked me when I first came in how I knew it was a torn hamstring vs something else, and asked whether my doctor had requested imaging. and I said “nope, she just kinda said....I had it?”

im really sorry to the doctors out there for this, but fuck doctors

#saw an artist complaining about sciatica #so I looked it up #and did the test where you stretch your leggy out & point your head up and down #and if the pain is relieved when you point your head up that means its sciatica rather than a hamstring injury #im just so fucking angry. it was such an easy diagnostic test and I've been in significant debilitating pain for half a year now #and all my physical therapy that I was so diligent about was making the problem worse this whole time
