my actual pitch for saw x is that it’s like jason x in the sense that it’s set in space and it’s about a bunch of university students in the year 3055 living on board a spaceship accidentally reviving john “the jigsaw” kramer because they don’t know who it is. anyway in typical john fashion he decides he needs to recreate all of his games again and also needs to have his apprentices back but of COURSE everyone is dead so he uses the spaceship cloning technology to do this (it’s space and the future and you can clone anyone if you type in their name). and then this just sets everything up to repeat the entire franchise again but this time it’s in space. however due to production companies being the way they are they decide to recast everyone except for cary elwes (princess bride Name attachment to draw in crowds) because they think it needs a fresh look. this results in some wins (hoffman is now played by jack black) and some loses (they make timmy chalamet adam). also jaime lee curtis is now amanda but everyone still acts like she’s in her late twenties or whatever. you may be thinking to yourself “tibby did you conceive this when drunk and or high” and the answer is yes but i had enough function to create a poster for it:
