Got this done earlier than expected with the power of hyperfixation and avoiding irl responsibilities! I found out just a few days ago that there are opensource computer programs that are actually designed for making storyboards (which I should have thought of before but I’m a disaster). So instead I used traditional paper and the Photos app on windows 10, if the powerpoint animation style title didn’t make that obvious enough lol

This is 70 pages of the storyboard set to music. The song is First Love/Late Spring by Mitski, and it’s only $1 on bandcamp if you want to support her! I think the lyrics really suit More Than Human’s themes of the Boys’ and Girls’ growing emotional vulnerability, and conflicting feelings of love while wanting to maintain barriers against it. 

Most of the scenes in this amv are from “Monday Broke My Heart” and “Tried to Stick a Dead Body Inside of Me”, with some scenes from other chapters sprinkled in. There’s a lot of emotion in these chapters, as the Reds’ facades of self-control and logic crumble, and the Greens’ bond and dependence on each other deepens. The Blues don’t have revelations or events that are quite as drastic in these chapters, but they still have dream and vortex content, and “Cupid Stuck Me With a Sickness” is featured in a later part of the amv.

With no set character designs, style, or consistent scaling, this is very obviously amateur hour but I hope you guys enjoy it <3 Feedback, constructive criticism, and suggestions for changes are HIGHLY ENCOURAGED!!!

So, slight intro to myself and this account...

I had joined the ppgxrrb fandom about 10 years ago but I fell out of it because I was just getting older.

Last week, under self isolation, I got a YT recommendation for a powerpuff amv. It was cute and it got me curious. So after a not so quick Google search, I found sbj's More Than Human.

I fell back down the rabbit hole and am back in the fandom that's apparently dying out so... But here I am back to my roots

My therapy homework for the next 2 weeks is to only work on the amv for 2 hours a day, with 1 day a week to hyperfocus to my heart's content.

Yes, you heard right folx! My hyperfixation on mth necessitates an intervention from my therapist to make sure I actually do others things ಥ‿ಥ

I used today as my free hyperfocus day and got 4 pages done. So I have now finished, scanned, and edited 81 pages of the storyboard.

I think I will post an updated video when I get to page 90 or maybe at the end of the 1st chorus? I'm hoping to finish that much by the time summer term starts but with less than 2 weeks, and my therapy homework of only working on it 2 hours a day, I'm not sure I'll make it in time (´-﹏-`；)

As much as I enjoy drawing the Reds, drawing Brick in pain is satisfying somehow

Started scanning the storyboard since I think I will die if I have to scan like 300 pages at once. I scanned as much as I've made (69 pages), and I'm currently editing them.

My goal is to set the 69 pages I have to the music and have an incomplete version of the amv storyboard up by the end of the week

So I have been totally dead on this account for awhile and have not been working on the amv like... At all. I am still planning to finish it! I just have not had the time/happy tendons required to work on it between going back to school and ADHD kicking my ass.

That being said! There should be a gap of time between finals and summer courses/(dream) internship where I can hopefully work on it so I'm gonna try to do more at that time!

I foresaw my inability to finish this is a timely manner which is why I've told the fandom and sbj I'm doing this, cuz my ADHD ass needs accountability and the fear of letting ppl down will drive me to complete a project for once

Just completed frame 45 of the psuedo-animatic storyboard. Still no sign of style consistency. For now I give up on consistency, I'm just gonna focus on trying to portray what's happening in the storyboard in the quickest manner.

Just gonna try to finish this so I can set it all to music, post, and get feedback to change stuff and make it better

Frame 50 of the storyboard, starting page 6 of the mini storyboard. About 1/5 through the whole thing and i reached the 1 minute mark!

I've found that not caring as much about how the storyboard looks helps a lot with getting it done lol. I'll be satisfied as long as ppl can tell what's happening. I'll probly have to insert a few pages here and there for clarity but I'm pretty happy with how it's going so far

The semester is over and Ive had the past 2 days off work, so I've been working on the storyboard pseudo-animatic!

Currently on frame 38, about 1/2 down on the 4th page of the original mini-storyboard. Only 22+ pages (approximately 200 frames) left to go! 🙃
