it's been a while.

if i focus only on the music and what the music needs, i forget how i compare to other pianists who started at the same age as me yet are exponentially better than me and i stop feeling discouraged. i mean, they're my idols and they inspire me, but...sometimes i feel jealous, even though it's not fair to compare - they had both the time to practice daily and access to proper guidance from the start...
