just wanna say I agree with the last anon. it also really bugs me when ppl speculate if an idol is gay, and then defends themselves by saying "well not all idols can be straight, obviously!!! dont ignore different sexualities!!!" like yeah, there has to be some idols who arent straight, but dont phrase it like you're pretending to be supportive of them. Korea's entertainment industry is not a very inclusive one, & even speculating that an idol is gay/queer could have very negative effects (1/2)

(2/2) on their career. let alone the possibility that you could end up outing them. the implications are very dangerous, and I (as a queer person) understand that, I was once accidentally outed and it was so scary even though it turned out okay. I cant even imagine how bad it would be for idols. so pls straighties stop guessing an idols sexuality and then pull the "not everyone is straight lmao" card on ME, a literal QUEER

You are totally right! And yeah it’s not like I’m telling people that there aren’t gay idols, but like in addition to the issues that it might personally cause for the idol of a bunch of people start trying to say that they’re gay (whether it’s true or not) it’s also like there are other sexualities. It’s not just straight and gay. Some idols are straight, some are gay, some are bi, some are ace, some are probably trans, some are non-binary, etc. and we don’t need to know these things. It’s fantastic if they want to come out and be happy and fully themselves with their fans, but if they don’t want to be then that’s totally up to them.
