fall scent profile series pt 1: cinnamon girl ☕️
description: freshly baked cinnamon rolls with icing, sweet, sugary goodness, the air of a coffee shop during rush hour 🍂
body wash ♡
Tumblr media Tumblr media
these two body washes smell divine ! cinnamon chai (also cinnamon buns by philosophy) gives that perfect vibe for when the temperature and leaves change and we’re shifting into cozy comfort. cinnamon dolce is a literal treat and pairs perfectly with the next products *drumroll pls*
scrubs ♡
Tumblr media Tumblr media
these two scrubs are perfect cinnamon-y contenders. cinnamon dolce keeps us more sweet while pumpkin spice latte (which i’m so happy they brought back this year) turns us to more a spicy and complex scent with its clove note
moisturizer ♡
Tumblr media Tumblr media
now the fenty holiday butta drop is god tier okayyy! it literally smells like the cinnamon pretzels you smell while walking through mall and the shimmerrr. it’s such a cute touch and i feel so girly and cute and edible when i wear it lucky for y’all the tree hut sweet cream moisturizer they just came out with? total dupe ! smells the exact same with notes of vanilla bean, coconut cream and marshmallow fluff <3
perfumes & misc ♡
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
i have a perfume, body mist and deodorant here and i think these all capture that cinnamon girl aura! sol de janeiros 71 is like fall in a bottle! our weather hasn’t changed for the better so i’d recommend this for when it’s cooler outside (it is a fall scent after all) native’s oat milk latte deodorant has clove, chocolate and a splash of milk perfectly cozy, warm and sweet. finally, chai epice really lives up to her name. le gourmand says it best, “this fragrance will make you want to grab the perfect chai latte, a soft blanket, and spend a cozy night in” and the reviews also hail to its sweet and spicy scent :3
thank you all for reading, if you have any of these products or try them out in the future, let me know what you think of them ! 🍂🍮

🚿 Shower Routine
You’re going to double cleanse. You will need an unscented soap or shower gel for the first step, and a scented shower gel for the second.
When you have the unscented gel or soap of your choice, make sure you scrub and that you scrub good. Get all the nooks and crannies absolutely clean. This first step will just clean you properly and get rid of any dead skin or oils so that whatever scented product you apply next will have a clean surface to rest on. It also helps if you shave before this step, but that is completely up to you. For unscented products I recommend anything from dove or sanex. If you can get your hands on shower products that are branded as being hypoallergenic or medically good for the skin, those are usually fragrance free and will serve as a good first cleanse.
Now that you are clean of all residue, grab the scented shower gel of your choice and use that. You can also use a scented soap and then a scented shower gel on top to maximise the fragrance, but if you’re worried your skin will dry out from the soap, the shower gel alone will suffice. Don’t worry though because the moisture steps on this list should restore the moisture for you even if you do decide to use a scented soap in combination to your shower gel. Most perfumes will have a shower gel or lotion to match the fragrance but if your perfume of choice doesn’t have any, choose a shower gel with a scent that compliments at least one of the notes in your fragrance. For example if your perfume of choice has berries anywhere in the top, middle or base notes, reach for a shower gel that is berry based. Same with lotion. Grab one that has any berry listed as it’s scent. If your perfume is gourmand, (dessert like) grab a shower gel or lotion that has vanilla or cocoa/coconut in it. These pair well with sweet perfumes. Vanilla is a good choice for layering with practically anything if you are completely lost for choice. It is a very safe and forgiving note that is present in most, if not all perfumes.
🧴 Moisturising
Now that you are clean, and have used a brilliantly scented shower gel, you need a perfumed body lotion or body butter, whichever you decide on will depend on the season or your skin type. Body butter is better for colder dryer weather and body lotion or mousse is better for summer. If your skin is really dry, use a body butter. Like i said before, if your perfume does not have a matching lotion or butter from the same name and brand, grab a lotion or butter that has something in common scent wise with at least one of the notes listed somewhere in your perfume. For example, if your perfume has green notes somewhere, use a body lotion that leans green, cucumber or aloe. If your perfume is sweet, use a cocoa butter lotion or a vanilla lotion. Vanilla can be used as a base for most things as it’s forgiving.
For this next step you will need a body oil. Apply this after your lotion or butter to maximise moisture so that your perfumes longevity is also maximised. Same rules apply here, use a body oil that either matches your perfume, or one that matches at least one note in your perfume. Some brands even make body oils, like Carolina Herrerra’s original good girl perfume comes with an oil. If you cannot find a scented body oil, go with a light natural subtle smelling oil like almond oil. It will act as an extra moisture layer to maximise your scent. Perfumes last well on moisturised skin.
💐 Layering your scent
Now that you are double moisturised, grab a perfume oil. These are separate from body oils, they are basically a perfume in oil form. Way more concentrated. Again same rules apply. One that matches your fragrance or shares a scent profile with at least one of the notes in your perfume. The brand NEST New York makes great perfume oils, or try a Middle Eastern perfume oil such as Attar. Make sure it has something in common with your perfume though or you’re not gonna achieve the desired result. Apply this perfume oil to your pulse points. These are located on your wrists, base of throat, on your inner elbows, behind your ears, and finally behind your knees.
If you want to be very extra, you can layer a body mist on top of your perfume oil. You can wear these together or forego one depending on the season. If you want to be smelt from space, layer them both. If you want one for the winter, stick with just the perfume oil and skip the mist. And if you want something light for the summer skip the perfume oil and just apply the body mist.
Finally, apply your perfume of choice to your pulse points and twice in the atmosphere then walk into the mist cloud. Now you’re going to smell like a dream! If you’re wondering about EDP vs EDT, the seasonal rule applies here too. I use EDTs and mists in hotter weather because heavier formulas can be too cloying in weather like this, and then I use Oils and EDP in the winter, but if you want to go by season or not is entirely up to you.
🌸 Extra Steps and Tips
To add extra pizzazz to this layering routine, use a hair perfume. Some brands have hair perfumes that are designed to go on the hair and make you smell extra good. Dior and Chanel have a few. If you can’t find a hair perfume, grab your actual perfume and spray it on your hair brush, let it sit for a bit in your brush, and gently run it through your hair. Do not apply your actual perfume directly on your hair if it is not designed for hair. It will dry your hair out. Just apply it on your brush.
Have curly hair and don’t want fragrance drying out your hair or can’t use a brush because it will ruin your curls? If you still want your hair to smell good without the struggles, just spray a little on your hair ties, hair bands, hair ribbons anything that is fabric will absorb fragrance nicely.
Speaking of fabric… SPRAY YOUR PERFUME ON YOUR CLOTHES! It will last extra long. Longer than it would on your skin.
Don’t have scented oils or lotions? Tight on budget? Not to worry, vaseline alone does the job of making your fragrance last long too. Apply vaseline and spray your perfume of choice.
Some perfume brands make matching deodorants, look into those too, but if you cannot find a matching deodorant just use your regular deodorant. This step is just an extra cherry on top if you care at all about matching your deodorant to your fragrance.
Disclaimer: If you have allergies or skin sensitivities be sure to prioritise your health. Perfume is an irritant and if health wise you cannot handle it, please stick to your unscented products. If you’re desperate maybe just spray on your clothes and avoid skin.
🌸 If you guys want a post with perfume layering combos, let me know and i will make one. Now you smell all pretty! Thank you for reading and stay gorgeous! 🌸

for some reason I've developed a fixation with writing about scented soaps and hair oils this week but it's okay because ed and stede are obsessed with them too so i guess I'm just channeling their slow and easy days at the inn really hard right now

Chloe Yazmean Youtube Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-E0AsPP2C10
🍒 Dove Beauty Revitalizante Body Wash - Cherry & Chia Milk - 20 fl oz
Tumblr media
It's got that fruity goodness, but here's the deal – the scent is low-key and totally woman-like on your skin. Oh, and there's a bar soap too, same vibe. Quick hack: lather up generously for that post-shower scent that stays with you.
✨ Dove Crushed Cherries & Chia Milk Exfoliating Body Scrub - 10.5 oz
Tumblr media
this Body Scrub... it's a vibe! 🍒✨ Same scent as the body wash, but here's the scoop – it's cranked up, doubled, and more intense in the best possible way.
CHERRY DUB TRIPLE ACTION AHA BODY SCRUB
Tumblr media
Barely any scent, but here's the magic – it's a double exfoliator. Triple action means it's not just a physical scrub but a chemical one too, giving you that even, effective exfoliation. Your skin? Prepare for super-soft bliss!
🌙 Jergens Original Scent with Cherry Almond Essence Dry Skin Moisturizer, Long Lasting Hydration
Tumblr media
Post-exfoliation, it absorbs like a dream, giving your skin that beautiful, nourished feel. Quick tip – exfoliate twice a week for the perfect canvas. Now, this lotion is a classic gem – an oldie but a goodie. All ages, all love – it's just that good! 💧💖
🌟Fine'ry Body Mist Fragrance Spray - Another Cherry - 5 fl oz
Tumblr media
it's pure bliss in a bottle! 🍒✨ The cherry, powdery, almond scent is like a dream – reminiscent of Tom Ford's Lost Cherry perfume but in a mist. Pro tip – don't forget to spritz your clothes because that's where the magic lingers.
💖 Ambery Cherry Inspired By Tom Ford'S Lost Cherry Eau De Parfum. Size: 50Ml / 1.7Oz
Tumblr media
it's luxury on a budget! 🍒✨ This is the real deal, identical to Tom Ford's Lost Cherry but from a company that won't break the bank. It's a warm, sweet gourmand with a twist – black cherry instead of red, giving it a more mature vibe. Get ready to smell divine without splurging

Don't know if it's just a part of being an ~omega~ or if it's just me, but I looooove doing skin care and pampering myself. I also think it's been really healthy for me in the sense that it's meditative in some way, to just focus on doing something good for my skin. I also feel much happier on the days when I dedicate time for extensive skin care routines.

The thing about Glen is that, despite her offhand manner, she loves me. I know she's only a cat. But it's still love; animals, people. It's unconditional and it's both the easiest and the hardest thing in the world. Sometimes, after counselling sessions, I desperately wanted to buy vodka, take it home and drink it down, but in the end I never did. I couldn't, for lots of reasons, one of which was that, if I wasn't fit to, then who would feed Glen? She isn't able to take care of herself. She needs me. It isn't annoying, her need - it isn't a burden. It's a privilege. I'm responsible. I chose to put myself in a situation where I'm responsible. Wanting to look after her, a small, dependent, vulnerable creature, it's innate, and I don't even have to think about it. It's like breathing. For some people."

Because an anon pointed out that Prince Philip supposedly had a custom fragrance from Penhaligon's, I looked up any information about it and apparently, his custom fragrance is either Blenheim Bouquet or Hammam Bouquet which could run up to £120.00 per bottle (if you consult the Penhaligon website, that is).
Would you mind sharing where you'd found this info? I'm not saying you're wrong, but neither Wikipedia nor the company's website say anything about this. Though out of the two, I feel Blenheim Bouquet would be more his style; he doesn't strike me as a being interested in anything floral.  Dis a lot of money to drop (especially with the exchange rate/international shipping) so I need to Know™.
He did, however, award them a royal warrant in 1956 so he obviously used something they made (custom or not).
LOL Danelle is not an anon, but she is fake.
