Did you know that when I was in eighth grade, I made a short film about Julius Caesar with my friends?

We had a short film competition in English class and my group was ready to win this thing.

I was Caesar and it was amazing! Unfortunately, my group only had four people in it, which was hell (you try making a short film about Julius Caesar when only three people can be on screen at a time), but we made it work. I was also the video editor and you can sleep happy knowing I overused the shit out of the sound effects (the best part was the explosion noises when Caesar got stabbed. BOOOM BOOOM KABOOM). We truly went all out (we were the only group with costumes!)

But then...

My group got last place because the winners were chosen by student vote and only the videos by the popular kids got any votes :( I hate democracy

I’m working on a project for class about asexual and/or aromantic storytelling. I want to see if I can identify an “asexual gaze” as opposed to the male/female/queer gazes.

I know I explicitly say asexual here, but I’m open to hearing from aromantic (including alloaro) people as well. I haven’t narrowed down a thesis yet, so any thoughts help.

I want to ask fellow aspec people: what media (books, movies, comics, etc.) resonate with you? They don’t have to have explicit ace or aro representation; just what stories do you feel appeal to you?

(This may go nowhere, but who knows? It may go somewhere too.)

Pedro Pascal was my Biology teacher and for today’s project I had to go out and collect plants from a list he had given me. I went to the farmers’ market where they were having sales on plants and fish and stuffed animals and I kept getting distracted and losing the bag I was supposed to fill up. I was running out of time and rushed to him, but when I gave him the bag, it was just filled with green apple slices, something that wasn’t even on the list.

My dear dear cousin is apparently doing some sort of school project on the US government. He keeps glaring at his computer screen and cursing the name of Alexander Hamilton (the man, not the musical).

Upon being asked what was wrong, my dear dear cousin glared at me and said, "Alexander Hamilton was a freaky little hermit who stayed shut in his house, with no sunlight, writing literal mountains of words like a madman at the end of the world, and the only time he left his sanctuary was to sleep with somebody else's wife!"

A Vision from St. Pearl (or, I did Minecraft fanart for a 200-point project)

This, as well a presentation on El Greco, will make or break my Spanish grade. The assignment here was to create an artwork in the style of the artist we chose. Sharp contrasts and shadows, fabric folds, and elongated figures were his Thing, so I had to do my best to replicate that. And since a lot of art at the time was religious, I thought that sticking to the theme might be appropriate.

So, despite knowing next to nothing about either season of Empires, I spent over a week working on a somewhat generic image of Saint Pearl and Sausage. I did really well on Sausage… not so much for Pearl.

My thanks to @darubyprincx for explaining the backstory on the lore, and tolerating me randomly sending them progress reports on this.

Prep! Here you, the yohaji fandom, will vote whether or not Ranmaru has done the crime (since everyone here isn’t impartial I have high expectations of you all). I also have some puzzles for spice. I will indicate which clue had been originally linked so you can understand how it was made (yes one of the clues doesn’t really work in this format but I’m giving you guys an experience).
