at the end of the fourth episode on quiet on set, it releases a statement by dan schneider who said, "everything that happened on the shows i ran was carefully scrutinized by dozens of involved adults. all stories, dialogue, costumes and makeup were fully approved by network executives on two coasts, etc, etc." i guess he put that statement out to try and spin this narrative so that it doesn't sound so absolutely horrific, but all it does is highlight the fact that damn near every single adult knew. they knew and did nothing. dan was able to take advantage of these defenseless children and allow other predators to prey on them and not a single adult raised hell about it. he was able to do this for years, completely unscathed, and nickelodeon offered him a huge amount of money in order to drop him from the network. the sadness and rage i feel CANNOT be put into words.

couldn’t stop thinking about this, so here’s a followup :)
When Eddie does eventually get a tattoo for Steve, it’s on a whim.
Kind of on a whim.
He hadn’t forgotten about the idea by any means, but he had yet to come up with an idea that came even close to encapsulating the love Eddie had for Steve, so he waited.
Then, one day, around a year and a half after their initial conversation on the subject and when Steve and Eddie were enjoying a lazy morning arguing over the grocery list (Steve wants to try a new pasta salad recipe, the fancy bastard, and Eddie just wants him to make the same cheesy marinara pasta sauce he’s been fiending over for years), Steve gets called into the hospital.
His second-to-last clinical rotation for his psychology doctorate sent him to the psych floor of a nearby emergency room, which has meant, for the first time, Steve is on-call even when he’s not scheduled to be at the hospital.
Steve is miserable — the most miserable Eddie’s ever seen him when it comes to his psych program — and annoyed with the school for assigning it to him when there had apparently been others available that were closer to how he actually wants to use his doctorate when he finally earns it, but, like he tends to, he’s being a decent sport about it.
He’s on the phone with his C.I. affirming that he’ll be in as soon as he can when he picks up a pen, grabs Eddie’s wrist, and scribbles fresh mozzarella, penne, tomatoes, lemon juice on the underside of his forearm. Below that he writes love you, and below that he adds - S, followed by a heart, a sideways smiley face, and a star, like Eddie’s seen him do hundreds of times. It’s how he signs off every post-it note stuck to the fridge, every message swiped into the fogged-up bathroom mirror, every letter he folds up and mails to Robin or Nancy or both or some other member of the Party.
Eddie isn’t even totally sure Steve realizes he’s doing it, that maybe he just likes that first doodled heart so much he can’t help but keep going, but he loves it either way. It’s sweet and charming and cute and just so, so Steve that it almost hurts.
Steve presses a swift kiss onto Eddie’s lips before making a bee-line for the door, still on the phone with his C.I, and Eddie’s mind is moving so fast he can’t sit with it anymore, so he jumps to his feet, checks his wallet to see if he’s got cash (he does), and then he too is on his way out the door.
Thankfully, at eleven on a Tuesday morning, his tattoo artist is accepting walk-ins, and before his brain completely catches up to his beating heart, he’s got Steve’s words (minus the groceries, obviously) in his neat writing and his heart, smile, and star tattooed on his forearm and it’s fuckin’ perfect and Eddie couldn’t be happier.
Steve returns sooner than Eddie thought he would — before dinner, which is still late, but not as late as it usually is whenever he gets called into the hospital — and as he lets himself into their apartment, Eddie meets him at the door.
“Hey,” Steve says with a tired smile, “Hungry?”
“Look!” Eddie ignores him, holding out his arm so Steve can see the tattoo through the protecting plastic wrap.
Steve looks down blankly at it for a moment or two before the corner of his mouth upticks just slightly.
“You...you did this today? From the-the stupid thing I wrote?”
“Yeah,” Eddie grins, “Isn’t it great. i’m so fuckin’ thrilled with it, man. It’s just — it’s you.”
“Yeah, it’s-” Steve shakes his head like he always does when he’s being bashful, “If you say so.”
He pulls Eddie into a tight hug, which Eddie immediately reciprocates, pressing his lips to Steve’s neck.
“I really love you,” Steve says.
“Love you too,” he replies, “in case that wasn’t clear.”
And Steve is pulling away, so Eddie catches the way he smiles as he shakes his head again. Steves eyes travel to the kitchen and then snap back to his own.
“Wait, so did you get the groceries?”
“Ah - fuck.”

it's so funny seeing western mass posting on my dash... i'm a current smith student and i see that bus every day! the valley is really lovely but i definitely could not live here without a car. we stan northampton though it's really cute
Oh awesome! Smith has a gorgeous campus; I'm glad you're liking it. I'm a UMass Amherst alumna myself.
I managed fine without a car, but I'm also aware that college is different from adult life. I lived on campus all four years, so I had everything I needed right there- food, living space, and the occupation that took up most of my time (ie classes). Relying on transit to get you to work every day is different from using it to go Christmas shopping with friends or similar.
Well, we shall see what we shall see.

Sano & Haru:Chronically Connected
THE END...FOR NOW!!!!
We reached the end my fellow yohaji enjoyers~ Hope you all enjoyed my ramblings about my favorite duo.
(Chapter 83-92)
☆Chapter 83。.。:+* ゚ ゜゚ *+:。.。:+* ゚ ゜゚ *+:。.。.。:+*゚
Throughout this whole chapter Sano shows that he will the first one to run after Haru. When haru runs towards the shrine he doesn't stop to wonder what is going on. Choosing to go after him and be the first to be there.
When Haru gets his soul taken, he was the first one to snap out of his shock to try to get his soul back. And in turn this gets the rest of the students to instantly kick into gear and follow his lead.
When Haru's body falls, he goes after it, again all instinct and no plan. He even seemingly turns their bodies so that he would take the bulk of the impact.
☆Chapter 84。.。:+* ゚ ゜゚ *+:。.。:+* ゚ ゜゚ *+:。.。.。:+*゚
Sano, desperately trying to get keep Haru's soul safe accidentally has his powers get of control and her shatters his soul. You can see the boy trying his best to keep his seimei-sensei safe. And when you see his face after and see how devastated he is you can tell how far we've come.
Old Sano would feel horrible about hurting someone this bad with his powers, but current Sano feels even more horrible that it is someone who he so obviously cares about. Someone he was will to sacrifice his own wellbeing for, being hurt by him.
(Side note-it was really heart warming to see even students who don't get as much time to show their relationship with Haru still show that they love this man, such found family vibes!)
☆Chapter 87。.。:+* ゚ ゜゚ *+:。.。:+* ゚ ゜゚ *+:。.。.。:+*゚
And now for the Haru version of "tragic moment in this relationship during this arc".
Haru, currently in a state where he only has his physical capabilities and his desires, as soon as he see Sano clings to him. He stays clinging to him this chapter and it's very cute. But also it's kinda sad, even with no responses, no memories, not even his intellect/powers to protect him, he still tries to be there for Sano, he kept his promise that he offered him when Sano admitted to being a god. Haru tries to give him his same comforting aura that he use to have.
In this dulled state he even does what Sano has been doing for him just a couple chapters ago, and tries to take a hit for Sano's wellbeing. He is practically a walking doll with an antenna that responds to sailor uniforms, yet he still chooses to sacrifice himself for the first person to know his secret in the class, someone who doesn't treat him like he needs to be babied, someone who has grown with him to be a better version of themselves.
A person who is closer to being his first, though reluctant and annoyed by the notion, friend at the school.
☆Chapter 90。.。:+* ゚ ゜゚ *+:。.。:+* ゚ ゜゚ *+:。.。.。:+*゚
Another moment were Sano puts himself down but now it's for his inability to properly control his powers. He talks about how he doesn't have faith in his misfortune powers not backfiring and landing on his target.
But, just like when he was lamenting for being an outcast, Haru steps in to comfort Sano again. Haru, the one who has shown that he trusts and knows the true potential of Sano, tells him simply that he believes him. Haru effortlessly gives Sano the same ease that got him out of all his previous "bad feelings spirals". He so genuinely and enthusiastically cheers and reminds Sano that he know he can do it.
☆Chapter 92。.。:+* ゚ ゜゚ *+:。.。:+* ゚ ゜゚ *+:。.。.。:+*゚
And now its Haru's turn to have a lowest point. Faced with patching up a hole in an ancient barrier, he gets overwhelmed about how he can quickly fix the problem.
And sano quickly asserts that Haru can do. He chooses to pay Haru back for continuing believing in him. He knows Haru can do it.
And this really shows how well the two know each other. When Haru was cheering on Sano, he was doing a very passionate cheer, constantly showing full support and belief in Sano.
But with Sano cheering on Haru, he knows how to motivate him and keep his mind on track. He treats him like an adult who just needs to be reminded a bit.
They both know the best ways to help the other in these moments. And really that just shows the natural evolution of this relationship that you can see naturally growing over the whole course of the manga. I may not know where they go in the future but I do know that this a bond that won't easily break!
Finally were done!!! OMG these boys and their relationship with each other!!!!
Again hoped you enjoyed it!!!
Bye~☆
