I’m a fantasy/fiction author who has published 2 books in the HERA Trilogy. Here’s a bit about me!

When the advanced android, Echo is rescued from a dumpster and rebooted, he awakens without a defining purpose or any memories of who he was before. Idle androids without jobs or purposes aren't tolerated, so in an attempt to be a normal android, he searches for where he belongs. Humans find him too human-like to trust and other androids feel the same, leaving Echo at a loss for what he was originally created for, much less what he wants to do with his new life. When he begins seeing the ghost of who he once was flitting throughout his memories, a virus begins to work its way through the androids across the city. Before long, it’s evident the two events are intertwined and only gets worse the longer Echo pretends otherwise. As Echo's past catches up to him, infecting everything he touches, he wonders if can he continue living the life he awakened to, or will he lose himself to the ghost trying to reclaim the body that was once his? WIP Ping-Pong

The game: Let’s help each other’s WIP goals by playing a rousing game of WIP Ping-Pong!

The rules: If you’ve been tagged (pinged), post any number of lines from your current WIP of your choosing. If you’d like to continue the so-called ping-pong match, tag the person who pinged you (pong), as well as anyone else you’d like to play with!

I have been pinged by @scriberated and DOUBLE-PINGED by @lady-of-imladris. This can only mean one thing -- I am delivering a total of three snippets from my WIPs before tagging you all back, and then some!

Let's see what I've got... *flips notes, squints* -- Two offerings from my Hari Seldon x Gaal Dornick Foundation fics, and one offering from my WIP Novel. Under the cut because there may be some spice.

From "About Last Night" - the NEW Hari Seldon x Gaal Dornick canon-divergent AU.

And so, for the past three days, they have been avoiding the topic. Except for last night, when they couldn’t sleep, pretending that the opposite corners of the ship would grant them solace from the affliction neither could shake. When the way they were attuned to each other meant that they both knew that the attempt was a lie. When using their own hands to relieve the overwhelming tension meant that they saw each other in their minds. They truly saw each other, tangled so deeply that it was impossible to tell where Gaal’s fantasy began and where Hari’s ended and whose desire was being quenched by whom and how.

From the final chapter of "Twin Primes", titled "The Sleepers" - the current Hari Seldon x Gaal Dornick fic.

“You wanted to know more about the ceremony,” Magda reminded the visitor then. “I do,” he nodded, “I’d love to know everything.” “All right. Each awakening symbolizes the Sleepers’ eternal yearning to be made whole and, in doing so, move closer to saving us from the end of days. Can you imagine what it feels like to be hungry for a year? What it feels like to be separated from your beloved when they are mere meters away from you the entire time?” “I -” the man furrowed his eyebrows, “ - can only imagine…”

“Do you really have to ask?” “I do, because it would appear that you’re delusional –” Abruptly, the sound of shrill voices ended. Roy looked around the room. Constanza. Roy didn’t need to have her looking like a human to know an eye roll when he saw one. “What?” Constanza swung her left front leg in a dismissive gesture.

The Characters of The Specters

Allow me to introduce you to the main characters of The Specters, the story I’m working on now.

Characters make people interested in a story. Readers connect with characters and want to know what happens to them. With those characters they set out on an exciting journey, share hardships and joys.

For a writer, characters are extensions of themselves. It is difficult to create a character that is fundamentally different from their author. Not impossible, but difficult. Then again, even if we make them extrovert instead of introvert, or a person of faith, while we are atheists, those characters still speak about some of our truths. Perhaps those we hide even before ourselves?

Those characters are a part of me, that’s for sure. I hope someday, some readers will connect with them as well.

Neve Kailash

Neve is searching for her true identity. Orphaned as a baby, she never knew her parents and she believes, if she found them, it would give her clarity. She wields the power of elements, but her abilities were never officially validated. If not her origin, then perhaps her purpose could be her truth?

At the start of the story, Neve is a small caliber felon. As the story progresses, she becomes a catalyst of change for a few people who choose to help her – for their own, more or less selfish, reasons. Her life changes too. She finds friends, love and a new family she belongs to not because they share genetics, but because they share the same goals and principles.

Noel Anaher

Anaher is the Sovernguard Authority who decides to help Neve and officially validate her abilities. She reminds him of himself, when he was younger.

Anaher thinks he’s happy in his life. He has friends, high social status and a teenaged brother under his care, whom he loves very much. Obviously, something is missing, though, because he decides to risk it all, by helping Neve. Consequences are not what he expected — he doesn’t get punished by his superiors. Instead, he learns that his best friend was hiding an important part of her life from him, his brother runs away from home, and then Anaher has to take even bigger risk in order to avoid charges for endangering another teenager – his brother’s best friend.

Struggling with his deteriorating health, Anaher faces the danger. At least his old friends, as well as the new one – Neve – are by his side.

Emma Lee

Emma is Noel Anaher’s best friend. She is also the daughter of a man, who made history ten years ago – but not in a good way. He is seen as a bad person and an enemy of the state. And if everything people say about him is true, Emma should consider him evil as well. That’s why she tries her best to prove that all those tales are false – and she loses herself in that quest.

Anaher worries about her, so she starts to hide her research for him. That’s when Neve comes into the picture and Emma finds that some things from Neve’s – mysterious – past, seem connected with her father.

On her journey Emma has to learn that whoever her father was, does not define her. Her love for him, her fond memories of him, do not make her bad, even if he was bad. Or maybe he wasn’t? But that does not speak about who she is, either. Emma finds her identity alongside Neve – in her relationship with her friends, with the man she loves. And within herself.

Nersan Ziya

Nersan is the man Emma loves. And who loves her above all else. All he wants is her happiness. He wants to be happy with her, but a voice in his head keeps telling him he doesn’t deserve anything good. He’s a liar and a cheater and he is hiding a very important, and shameful, part of his past from everyone around him.

As Anaher searches for his brother, Emma searches for the truth about her father, and Neve searches for her own truth, they come across Nersan’s secret. It nearly leads to their falling apart, but instead, friends choose to trust each other, because reaching their common goal depends on that trust.

In the end Nersan will realize how much he means to the people around him, and how much they respect him.

Would you feel connected to any of those characters?

As I was writing this post, I realized that they are all a reflection of me, at this exact point in my life. I’m still looking for my identity, separate from my parents – mother mostly. I’m still afraid to express my needs, because I see them as less important than the needs of other people. Is it because I don’t think I deserve good things? That, I don’t know.

But whoever said that writing is therapy, was definitely right

Welp, I was obsessed from the start. Weir meticulously builds this curious little friendship out of heartfelt gestures, laugh out loud offhanded remarks, and out of a shared love for something I never thought I would grasp enough to appreciate- rocket science.

If you haven’t read Project Hail Mary, read it and then spend the rest of your life yearning to read it again for the very first time.

NaNoWriMo is going well even if nothing else is! I'm at 17,600ish words at 5 completed chapters, but that means 3500ish per chapter and then there's 35 chapters and that means a chonky book. That's okay though! It's something I dearly want to see more of, so I may as well do it because no one else is.

I hope if you're doing NaNo too, you're doing well!! And if not, just remember it's not about winning it's just about the excuse to write and that's always fun.

NaNoWriMo Journal Day ... well does it matter?

Soo.. I have returned from my hole in the ground. I am not going to continue NaNoWriMo, for the reason, that November is... well almost done. But that's fine.

I went through a rough patch. Not sure if I pulled through completely by now.. buut... I did some healing, by playing the best game on earth, aka Cyberpunk 2077.

After ending my relationship, diving into a sewing frenzy and seeing my ex not one week after breaking up... I deserve falling apart for a bit.. besides.. its not all that fell apart in my life, so that's more than reasonable. I just finished Cyberpunk, again. This time choosing the new Phantom Liberty Ending, called the Tower. Best so far.. although that's mostly due to the fact, that I don't really believe in sacrificing yourself for others, especially not hot assholes like Johnny Silverhand :D It was as bittersweet as most pages promised.. but I still think V deserved to survive, and a martyrs mentality will get you nowhere.. except for six-feet under.

Anyway.. had a great time, did some quest I missed last time around.. and kinda ditched Panam along the way.. was happy to reunite with Misty tho..

And... yeah... gathered some motivation for writing. As of now, I will probably stick to my daily challenges, and see if I can go from there, in regards to my current project :D
