light mismatched candles in a metal tray on your coffee table and let the glow throb peacefully as you move around the house, making things comfortable for the night

cook a stew, one pot meal or oven-roasted vegetables with plenty rosemary and bay and sea salt and let it simmer, bake or roast while you create a nest for the evening

in your cocoon of blankets, you can finally enjoy the slow-cooked meal that you’ve been looking forward to all day

just like the little creatures in burrows and in hollowed-out trees, your hibernation will soon be ending; enjoy the final nights of rest in tranquil darkness before the bright warmth of spring brings renewed vigour to your days

gladiolus; what is something you hope to do in the next year or two?

I would like to throw myself fully into university! I have been once before and left due to ill-health before I could complete my degree. I hope that I can get fully immersed in university life again but this time take full advantage of the opportunities given to me!

tulips; what would be the best present to get you? 

Usually something to do with books, crafts or something to do with witchcraft. I have always loved gemstones and crystals so I think it’s quite fitting that I’ve recently started exploring a more spiritual and earth-based mentality.

candytufts; when do you feel most loved?

When I’m with my mum. Or with my girlfriend. Obviously it’s two different kinds of love but they’re both equally precious.

tropical white morning glory; describe your aesthetic. 

Ooh! I’d say... Scottish? I know that’s pretty obscure and not that helpful but I do feel like my home really shapes how I dress and create and enjoy. Scotsfolk have this love of duality. We’re trailblazers in many ways but we also appreciate our heritage, culture and folklore. So I think that I could describe my aesthetic as Scots eclecticism?
