Kadın düşmanı olmakla suçlanan gece yarısı talk show programı sunucusu Katherine Newbury’nin hikayesi. Bir kadının egemen kaleleri yıkarken bile “kadın kadının düşmanındır” tezini çürütmüyor. Katherine Newbury, gece yarısı talk show programının öncüsü isimlerinden biridir.
Sonu mutlu ediyordu o net. İyi seyirler.

'Moneyball' - One of the Best Baseball Movies Ever
WRITER’S NOTE: This movie review was written in 2012. I present it now as the latest baseball season has now begun. “Moneyball” is, for my money, the best baseball movie since “Bull Durham” as, like Ron Shelton’s 1988 classic, it takes a very unique look at this American pastime and the players who inhabit it. Whereas most baseball movies are about rising to the occasion and winning the big…

The Surreal Oscar Campaign for ‘The Hours,’ 20 Years Later
Julianne Moore as Laura Brown.PARAMOUNT/EVERETT COLLECTION. Weinstein and Rudin had feuded across several previous projects, so some headbutting was to be expected on The Hours. Rudin developed the script with Hare for about a year, though, and had final cut. He toyed with the mercurial Weinstein by showing off the film’s bold creative decisions—prosthetic included. “Scott won most of the…

Tom Cruise, Jodie Foster, Sharon Stone, Richard Gere, Scott Rudin, Al Pacino, Ellen Degeneres, Courtney Love, Tom Hanks, Woody Allen, Demi Moore, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jodie Foster, Joanne Woodward, Holly Hunter, Dodi Fayed, Michelle Pfeiffer, Ralph Fiennes and Emma Thompson...are just a fraction of the clients Kingsley represented at PMK/HBH, the agency she founded.
Since retiring her legacy is too often whittled down to "The Woman Tom Cruise Fired Right Before He Started Jumping on Couches," but every interview she's given provides some of the best insights into pre-social media/infotainment PR that I've read (although she does mention Cruise in the THR piece above.)
Her ability to negotiate for control (things like pre-approving interview questions, demanding covers and additional news segments, for example) remain legendary. There's no one in the industry today that can compare to the kind of influence she had at her peak.

Inside Llewyn Davis (2013, Coen brothers)
14/02/2024
Inside Llewyn Davis is a 2013 film directed and written by Joel and Ethan Coen and starring Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Justin Timberlake and John Goodman.
The film is inspired by the life of folk singer Dave Van Ronk, active in New York in the sixties.
It participated in competition at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival, where it won the Special Jury Grand Prix.
New York, February 1961: Llewyn Davis is a struggling young folk singer whose recent solo album, Inside Llewyn Davis, was a flop; being without money and nowhere to go, he sleeps on the sofas of friends and acquaintances. One evening, after playing at the Gaslight Café in Greenwich Village, he is beaten at the back of the venue by a mysterious and rude individual for reasons not immediately specified.
He subsequently accepts Jim's proposal to record a new song, agreeing to be paid immediately 200 dollars in exchange for the transfer of the copyright, in order to have the money for the abortion.
The young man accepts a ride to Chicago in the company of the laconic poet Johnny Five and the grumpy heroin-addicted jazz musician Roland Turner; during the trip he reveals that his musical partner, Mike Timlin, committed suicide by jumping off a bridge.
In an expanded version of the film's opening scene, Davis performs at the Gaslight and Pappi reports to him that a "friend" is waiting for him in the back; Davis then watches a young Bob Dylan perform on stage.
The film starts from the Coen's reflection on the rebirth of interest in folk music in the sixties, and in particular that despite the genre's exquisitely rural identity, in that period it was followed above all in a metropolis like New York, and that so all its major performers were natives, like Brooklyn's Dave Van Ronk and Ramblin' Jack Elliott.
When writing the screenplay, the pair of directors drew mainly from Van Ronk's autobiography, published posthumously in 2005, The Mayor of MacDougal Street but, even before starting to write it, the Coens had started from a single idea: imagine Van Ronk getting beaten up outside Gerde's Folk City in the Village.
Producer Scott Rudin, who had previously worked with the Coens on True Grit and No Country for Old Men, collaborated on the project. StudioCanal helped the production financially in the absence of a US financier/distributor.
On May 9, 2013, shortly before the presentation of the film at the Cannes Film Festival, the red band trailer and a new poster were also released.
The soundtrack was curated by T Bone Burnett, songwriter, producer and Oscar winner for the song The Weary Kind, and by Marcus Mumford.

*Companion set with @behind-the-blow 's Best of Matt*
For #6, I present Matt at the 2011 Tony Awards thanking Angela in his speeches🥰 I'll never get over how perfect and loving they are as a couple and how sweet these thank yous are! The way Matt has that moment of clarity during their Best Score win speech to thank Angela and then looks back to smile and point at her in the audience...my heart!!🤩
"And thank everybody for this! Umm, specifically, I wanna thank my wife, Angela."
"We also wanna thank Anne Garefino, our producer, who's the best, who uh...puts up with us everyday and is an amazing producer...(skipping the Scott Rudin part of the speech because boo Scott Rudin!) Thanks. AND MY WIFE, ANGELA!"

Howdy! Hope you're having a great day
👍and 1️⃣ for the Matt and trey advent XD
Thank you, friend 🥰 Hope your day is a good one too 💖
👍Favorite moment or quote?
How about a favourite moment AND quote!
Am I allowed to say the BASEketball kiss for moment? XD Well, I've done it now, there's no going back!!!! (If I'm not allowed, it's the moment in 6 Days to Air where Trey is quietly sipping his drink while Matt isn't taking anyone's shit. I love them both so much 🥹)
For quote, I love this one from Trey:
"We always bring each other up, and—this is something we learned from Scott Rudin a long time ago—before every season, we try to get in that mode of, ‘Okay, this is important. A lot of people want to be doing this, and we’re blessed to be in this position. Now let’s treat this seriously and let’s work.’ And we’re kind of hard on each other, and we make each other work. And when one of us is being a baby—and it’s usually me—Matt’s the only one that can yell at me and tell me to quit being a baby."
1️⃣ What was your introduction to M&T?
I remember Goin’ Down to South Park coming on Comedy Central one night (a repeat) and finding them really funny, especially Trey’s impression of Brits. That’s what cemented them as individuals in my mind, not just names in credits, haha.
