Kuras:

I know we haven't seen Kuras eat/drink anything in both the demo and other official art by RSS, but I know the stain of an overfilled coffee mug on a paper when I see one! [It's even referenced in the LI quiz the devs put out ages ago, the French press coffee!]

Ais:

While everyone's blue paper note is ripped at the top and bottom, Ais's has the addition of being crinkled up and torn!

As others noted in reblogs/tag/comments on the official RSS post for Ais, the Animal Handling rank is in allusion to his control of all the Soulless at the Seaspring.

However, there's the tear that cuts through it too. Ocudeus is the something Ais cannot control. [This is also noted by others in the fandom!]

[This also completely terrifies be because oh no! Ais is losing himself!]

The crumbled paper could be similar to how a student carelessly jams their homework/notes/etc. into their backpack and turns it in that way to the teacher. Ais is trying to keep Ocudeus in check/suppress it/them/him(?), but it isn't working anymore.

All in all, I cannot wait to see what the devs have in store for Leander's.

So I feel fairly safe saying this is a Kubo issue, and yeah to Narita for fixing it. Anyway, I sure would have loved to see the whole plotline with hiding the true shikai and all the resolved in a satisfying way. Too bad we wasted screen time on this transphobic crap

SO fucking true. Giselle could've been so much better and while I don't have high hopes for the anime changing how she's portrayed, hopefully her writing improves just a little bit.

It's horrible to see characters that we love and root for being used for bigotry. As a trans person myself it fucking sucked to see Yumichika, a character I had completely fallen in love with, being written as a transphobe. Sure, there was a slight hint of it before in how his fight with Charlotte Chuhlhourne went, because he was a huge fucking dick the entire time to Charlotte too. (Really I think that could've been a character growth moment for Yumichika, realising that beauty is literally about being true to yourself) but Kubo doesn't care about the tertiary cast so he gets no character development outside of not caring about Ikkaku nearly dying in one fight, and then suddenly threatening Hisagi over stopping him from rushing to Ikkaku's aid.

I could write a lot about Yumichika and my thoughts on him. But honestly since finishing TYBW and my hyperfixation on Bleach fading into a background interest, the transphobia really made Yumichika lose his appeal for me.

At least I'll get to see him get his ass beat in motion at 1080p HD this October!
