Chrissy stepped towards him, her chin held high in defiance. She was no longer the dreamy girl who wished away her little brother on a whim, weary from the constant abuse from a nagging mother and absentee father. Her words were true; she had fought through many hardships and dangers to reach the heart of the Labyrinth. To reach him, its maker.
He loomed before her now, dazzling in white silks. He looked every inch the romantic love interest from those secret novels she read late at night. He was so beautiful it made her heart ache.

Eddie eyed her like she was something untamed and dangerous. Nobody had ever looked at her like that before. She realised she liked it.
“My kingdom as great… my kingdom as great… damn, I can never remember that line….”
She willed herself to think, to remember. She had uttered the words so many times playing pretend as a child.
“I ask for so little. Just fear me. Love me. Do as I ask, and I shall be your slave.”
His words felt like velvet against her skin, tempting her with images of what-could-be. She saw herself in a white voluminous dress (like a bride, a heroine) with a dazzling crown on her head. She saw herself sitting on a gold throne beside him, ruling over the land as Goblin King and Queen. He would teach her how to control the Labyrinth and harness its magic for her own. He was offering her the moon on a string. The chance to live in a world where she could do whatever she wanted and never grow old.
With him.
With a gasp she remembered the next line of the script. Now all she had to do was say it and she would win. The dream would come to an end and she would be plunged back into her boring lonely life where all she had to look forward to was becoming Mrs Jason Carver. Her lips trembled but the words - you have no power over me - died on her tongue.
His eyes were so soft and inviting. He held out his gloved hand, willing her to accept it.
And with a grin, she did.

Mark Harmon is sharing behind-the-scenes secrets about his time on NCIS and how he may not have starred in it if things -- including his character's name -- had been slightly different.
Harmon, 72, recently sat down with ET's Kevin Frazier to promote his new book, Ghosts of Honolulu: A Japanese Spy, A Japanese American Spy Hunter, and the Untold Story of Pearl Harbor.
The actor discussed the novel before the conversation turned to NCIS, the long-running CBS drama in which he starred as Leroy Jethro Gibbs for 19 seasons.
His participation in the show, however, may not have happened for a number of reasons including where he was at in his personal life when the script and auditions first came around.
"I didn't expect to like the script as much as I did when I first read it," Harmon said. "I was reading other things and I was also trying to stay home -- young family and I wanted to try and be home more."
What hooked the actor? It was the character's name, he shared.
"I read 'Leroy Jethro Gibbs' and thought, 'Huh, I like that name,'" Harmon said of what initially piqued his interest. "And then for a brief second when I decided that I liked the idea of the project, the name changed."
The name that Gibbs almost had was far less interesting and certainly a dealbreaker for the veteran actor who had come off of projects like Freaky Friday, The West Wing and JAG before NCIS began airing.
"Bob Johnson or something like that. And I went, 'No, no, it's gotta be Leroy Jethro Gibbs.' The creator said, 'No, you can't play a guy named Leroy Jethro Gibbs,' and I said, 'Why not?'" the actor and writer continued. "And then it went back and I was happy about it."
He also confirmed that it was not the network but the creator -- Donald P. Bellisario -- who wanted to change the name.
Harmon left the show in 2022 after 19 seasons to the shock and sadness of fans. He told ET he is still grateful for every episode and all of the success the show has seen.
"As an actor, you don't think in those kinds of terms," Harmon said in response to being asked about the series' 20th anniversary. "You're thinking, 'TV series, if it does three years, we're gifted.' But they've done well and they've worked hard and so it's a really good group of people."
"I don't know that any of us thought that the show was going to be around as long as it's been around," he continued.
The series went on to become so popular that it spawned numerous spinoffs including NCIS: Los Angeles, NCIS: Hawaii and the latest to join the bunch, NCIS: Sydney.
"We talked about this a lot ... over the years and I always thought that this show had characters, and it had humor, which made it different," Harmon said. "It had a case, but the case isn't what drove it -- I think that's still true."
Amid its monumental anniversary, Harmon -- who appeared in more than 430 episodes -- said he still understands why viewers come back week after week.
As for whether or not he would make a return to the show, he's not completely ruling out the possibility that viewers will see Gibbs again.
"He's probably sitting in a stream up in Alaska fishing," Harmon joked. "Is he going to get out of the stream? I don't know. But if he is, I don't know about it."
Harmon's book, Ghosts of Honolulu: A Japanese Spy, A Japanese American Spy Hunter, and the Untold Story of Pearl Harbor, is roughly about the start of the real-life Naval Criminal Investigative Service.
"When I first got the role in the show, I tried to google NCIS to figure out what it was -- I never heard of it -- there wasn't much information. And if you google it now, there's like 25 pages of information," he said, describing why it was important for him and Leon Carroll -- a longtime NCIS technical adviser -- to write it.
According to the book's description, it tells the tale of Douglas Wada, the only Japanese American agent in naval intelligence, and Takeo Yoshikawa, a Japanese spy sent to Pearl Harbor to gather information.

possible culprits for the genosha attack. sound off with your thoughts if you want.
master mold - could just be a secret third master mold ai operating on its own. iirc master mold has only ever been controlled by someone else in the original series, but master mold / the sentinels acting on their own long after the sentinal program has been shut down isn't new in a general sense. this would also tie into madelyn / jean's vision of master mold causing untold death and destruction far more than the very quickly resolved conflict in episode one did. the episode one vision also included the "happy nation" song and cable's lines from episode five, meaning that it was clearly more about the destruction of genosha than it was fighting master mold in the desert.
cassandra nova - the "godzilla sentinel" was used in the comics by cassandra nova, and was also used to attack genosha much like it was in episode five. given that charles xavier is not currently on the planet and magneto is / was currently an x-man, cassandra nova might be a way to flip the script without having professor x himself be the villain. good magneto, evil charles-adjacent figure. however, cassandra nova is potentially(?) the villain in the upcoming deadpool & wolverine, and the creatives behind both deadpool and x-men '97 have made it clear they don't want their projects being connected to other projects, so they might steer clear of having the same main villain in two x-men properties at one time. however, it could just be a case of parallel thinking and neither party knew what the other was working on.
apocalypse - in the opening theme, the new scene they chose to include was a reanimation of cable fighting apocalypse over that little cube, and then in the episode itself cable himself appears (with the little cube) and mentions a "he" that's coming. apocalypse wants to tear down the world to remake it in his image, and starting an all-out human / mutant war would achieve that.
magneto??? - to be clear i think this is the least likely possibility, but it's still a possibility, so i felt i should bring it up. it's possible that this was an inside job by magneto to "justifiably" resume his previous method of dealing with human / mutant conflict. this would not be the first time an animated x-men series has depicted magneto setting up and advertizing genosha as a mutant utopia only to orchestrate a horrific attack on his own people in order to kickstart a human / mutant war. however, i don't think this is likely given the way that magneto has been written in x-men '97 thus far. other versions of magneto, sure, but it just doesn't seem in character for this one.
BONUS mystique - there's a somewhat popular theory that val cooper is secretly mystique. i can see the possibility, though i don't think there's much concrete to support it right now. if she is involved in some way, she's likely not working alone, and instead is working with apocalypse or magneto.

The Dawning Of The Sun Part 2/2
It is a untold sight of beauty brimming us in the heat of the sunlight over The Great City of Metropolis The home of The Man Of Steel the city is blinded with light.
A giant billboard almost the same height of The Daily Planet buildings globe a screen is activating for the first time showcasing a ad for the next Presidential campaign.
A black screen appears quickly light stirs in the back a spot light exposes him in mid way of the scene droning about whatever I scripted for him.
The video is captivating the citizens of this fair city especially piquing the interest of one person in particular a Mr. Clark Kent who is on a mission.
Avoiding his current assignment Clark digs for his cellphone pressing a contact the cell phone rings calling a private number to whom a stranger answers.
“Mr. Kent, how can I help you? Yes I do Mr.
Allen. I can get you a meeting.” The stranger replies making another call and then texting the Clark details.
Mr. Kent smirks heading him to change his clothes, he packs his costume in a suitcase he dashes out catching a cab he is on a mission.
Clark steps into the building with an air of The House Of L confidence rising into him he is right to not trust the President Allen’s campaign plans.
Clark strolls onto the elevator alerting all go my AI system of his presence my faint ideas of what this meeting is about are now ended.
The camera moving in a odd array of moves
scanning his body entirely with a x-ray and interface gives me a blueprint copy of his body.
“My, my….what are you hiding from me Mr. Kent?” I say analyzing his non human scan of his physiology a body worthy of a gold medal.
“Oh Mr. Kent, you want to see me well I do say it’s honor to meet The Man of Steel himself.” I answer in to the speaker.
Clark looks up in a state of confusion he is caught off guard when the elevator takes advantage of shaft dropping in a free fall.
Clark no longer in the illusion of his secret identity he flew off the ground breaking into the roof but he is unable to he through.
He fell back onto the bottom cart the box goes haywire as Clark loses his mind at the scene the room goes black spiral paste on to the ceiling.
“You are right on time Clark focus onto the ceiling let it draw you in, relinquishing all of your control and forgetting everything else.”
“Your body stuck the floor of the cart a heat wave of psychological and physical pain is overtaking you with kryptonite inducing led”
“NNNNNNOOOOOOOO! I refuse to let you win this, I will never allow you to control me, I am The Man Of…I mean the Pussy of Steel”
“MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA”
“You vile flee ridden fiend you won’t get away this.”
“Even with your own eminent defeat you still defy me.”
“I won’t…..aaaaaaahhhhhh”

The elevator implodes from inside forming a shield covering The Man Of Steel in a green cascade spinning in mid air exposing his body and mind to my brainwashing.

There's no information here regarding where this cavern is, besides the fact that it's deep. It may be on the island... or, just as easily, it may not.
Hmmm... It sounds like the secret location of Gnomie's phylactery... I go spelunking a lot and I've never found anything like that... Considering his role in keeping the island floating maybe it's the generator..? I wouldn't go messing with that though, we'd all die if he died.
