SCUMS FUCKING WISH!! i don’t think i’ve ever related to an anime as much as this one. it perfectly captures the trials and tribulations of loneliness and desire. i’ve never seen a tv show portray such an honest depiction of lust, longing, unhealthy attachments, and the lengths people go to fulfill their desires. scums wish is honest to the point of discomfort.

Do ppl still remember scum’s wish aka kuzu no honkai? Maybe it was the aro part of me that was sick of fairytale romances but I remember really loving it. I loved how almost all the time love loses. I loved how it was like, love can be destructive, terrible, and hurtful. I read the manga and watched the anime for it.

Maybe I’ll go read it again sometime soon.

Scum’s Wish

Started watching this. I was not prepared for it to lean into the word scum as much as it did. On the one hand, this series really gets what being a teenager in high school felt like emotionally to me.

On the other hand, sweet fuck do I wish every character many years of good therapy and decades of chill pleasant life to work through their shit.
