Hey hun! I saw you liking my Harry Potter works and reblogs, and I'm so so glad you liked them! I've been getting really into Harry Potter lately and want to write for it more, but I'm kinda stumped on who to write about. So, I figured I'd ask you a question if that's fine by you.

My two biggest HP Crushes (aside from Remus) are Cedric Diggory and Seamus Finnigan. You might know Seamus as that irish kid who was always blowing stuff up in the movies.

I was wondering who you'd ship me with, out of the two. I figured that'd make deciding a bit more fun and motivate me to write.

For you personally, I'd totally ship you with Remus Lupin. You two seem like you'd be such a cute match, reading and vibing together - I can see you as a fellow professor honeslty. Either that or Charlie Weasley. I hope life's treating you well hun, and remember to drink water and that I love you!!

Hello hun! Here are the matchups (finally!). I'm sorry it took so long, I had a very busy week, but I hope you enjoy them!

Cedric Diggory

The local sophisticated gremlin witch with the popular pretty boy? I think yes!

I can totally see you as being good friends with Hagrid and helping him take care of his creatures in the dark forest, and being known to do readings for people ever since you learned how to work with tarot cards somewhere in your first or second year.

This is how Cedric first learned about you. He would always notice you in the hallways and (secretly) listen in when he heard someone talk about you and the new spells you’d been working on.

Cedric is a good student, which means he studies a lot, and 8 out of 10 times when he is in the library you are there too. Cedric would watch you from the corner of his eye, intrigued by whatever it is that you’re learning about. After a few weeks of him looking at you from a distance he finally gathers the courage to talk to you. He asks about what it is you're studying and he’d listen with great interest as you tell him about how you’re learning to weave magic into quilts.

After that the two of you meeting up in the library becomes a common occurrence. You help each other with your studies, but also with your personal interests in magic. After a while Cedric would invite you to come watch him during his quidditch plays, and he would be so happy whenever you’d show up, trying extra hard to catch the snitch.

During your third year, after the match where Harry falls off his broom because of the dementors and Cedric catches the golden snitch, he requests a rematch because he believed it to be an unfair one, but Oliver Wood says he won fair and square and leaves it at that. You comfort Cedric when he tells you that he feels like he cheated, that he worries about Harry and that it was not fair to the Gryffindors that they lost because of the bloody dementors. You tell him that he is not a cheater and that he won because he was faster. You ease his worries about Harry by saying that he is in the capable hands of madam Pomfrey and that the dementors were out of anyone’s control.

He writes to you over the summer; about his parents and his friends, about a new book he just read that he thought you might enjoy, about movies that the two of you have watched, anything really. During this time you become closer, and when you see each other again at Hogwarts the two of you have become very close friends (and maybe even more).

You are both happy and proud of him for being the Hogwarts champion, but also extremely worried. You help him prepare for the tasks; coming up with the best ways to defeat the dragon, finding the best spells to breathe underwater. It was also you who figured out that the message in the golden egg was about the mermaids in the black lake.

The two of you are just such a cute couple. You’re pretty much the only person Cedric becomes shy around, and with your broad variety in hobbies and interests you teach him so much and he loves you for it.

Seamus Finnigan

The local sophisticated gremlin witch with the cute explosion boy? I’m saying hell yes!!

The two of you hit it off immediately in your first year, your chaotic energies combining into a force that even Fred and George have to reckon with sometimes.

Seamus is by no means an incompetent wizard, but explosions while performing magic do tend to happen with him. That in combination with your curiosity and desire to experiment with magic has made for some… interesting results.

Seamus quickly introduces you to his best friend Dean, and the three of you can often be seen hanging out together. It doesn’t take long for Dean to find out about Seamus’ growing crush on you, and he teases his friend relentlessly about it; giving him teasing looks, making him bump into you, sometimes even hinting at his crush when talking to you which turns Seamus into a flustered mess.

When your class goes to Hogsmeade in third year, it was kinda like a first date for you and Seamus. Both of you had growing feelings for each other, though neither of you had confessed yet (to the great amusement but also frustration of Dean), and although neither of you had planned it the two of you ended visiting the shops and wandering through the town by yourselves, talking about anything and everything, like the muggle things you wished were there with you at Hogwarts, for example your favorite movies.

It’s during your fourth year that you finally become a couple. Seamus wanted to ask you out to the yule ball, but he was so nervous that he chickened out at the last moment every time he tried. He kept worrying about if you’d say no, if you’d still be friends if that happened, if you would laugh at him if he asked, etc. It was only when Dean, who was tired of his rambling, threatened to ask you out (as friends) if Seamus didn’t do it, and that got him running all the way up the astronomy tower to ask if you wanted to be his date for the yule ball (and of course you said yes).

And what a date it was.

Seamus was so excited, holy shit, this was gonna be the greatest night of his life-- Dean stop laughing!! (Dean was so happy for the two of you though, and also relieved. I mean this guy had to deal with your unconfessed feelings for four years).

And then in the great hall, when he sees you walking down the stairs wearing a (-your yule ball outfit-) his first coherent thought is; ‘I want to marry this person’ (This might just be me, but I can see Seamus being a bit of a romantic. Not overly mushy, but a romantic nonetheless.)

You spend the first half of the night dancing and laughing and singing to the music, having the time of your lives both on the dancefloor and next to the table holding all the drinks and snacks. When all the noise and the socializing became too overwhelming for you though, the two of you went to wander the decorated halls of Hogwarts, talking and giggling about the silliest things.

It’s when you arrive outside in one of the gardens and it begins to snow that he asks your to be his girlfriend, and he feels like the happiest guy alive when you say yes.

Tipsy - Seamus F

First person p.o.v Warnings: suggestive Gryffindor! Reader Summary: the reader gets tipsy after winning the quidditch cup.

Everyone in the common was enjoying a nice, wild, post quidditch victory party. It was a miracle to have won the game, let alone the entire quidditch cup. Ever since Harry and the twins had gotten kicked off the team, only half of you were good players.

Some people say it's better than nothing, but of course, as a Gryffindor, it was either all or nothing. I mean, you did love the girls and yes, they're probably the best student players you've ever seen. However, Angelina had anger issues, Ginny was too immature and Katie always stared at one of the new beaters since he was good looking. Basically, if you had those types of players on the team, the rest had to play good too.

You may or may not have been making most of the alcohol supply that the Weasley twins had snuck in from the kitchen and had long gone passed the "sober stage". Now you were sitting on the floor after doing one too many shots with Dean.

The night had barely begun, but you were already feeling woozy and were drinking straight from the bottle of Firewhiskey.

"Never have I ever been caught making out with someone after curfew by a teacher." You groaned, taking another swing of the alcoholic beverage. Fred and George were roaring with laughter, blatantly making fun of you as you got even more drunk.

"Okay, okay." Fred breathed out. "Never have I ever..." He paused. "Had a hickey that was noticed by my parents." You didn't even bother to try to be discreet, knowing they'd spot you either way, but maybe you should have.

Fred tripped over the leg of a table, grabbing George's shoulder to steady and keep himself from falling right to your feet. You laid your head on the couch next to you, feeling slightly humiliated from the two redheads' behaviors.

"What are we doing?" The familiar voice of your painfully hot boyfriend sent a shiver down your spine. He sat down on the floor behind you, wrapping both his arms around your waist. "Mmh, hi baby." You muttered, tilting your head to see him and fluttering your eyelashes at him. "Hi sweetness." He replied, pecking your plump lips softly.

"We're playing a game of 'Getting Seamus's girlfriend impossibly more drunk with a dirty version of Never Have I Ever, Drink edition'!" Both of the twins yelled out in unison. "I'm not drunk." You whispered to your boyfriend, but he laughed, smelling the stench alcohol in your breath.

"Well!" You exclaimed, wobbling on your feet as you stood up, "I'm going to bed before either of you come up with another clever idea to get me to reveal my deepest, darkest secrets. Goodnight!" Your accent relatively thicker.

You grabbed Seamus's hand, forcing him to get up with you. You dragged him towards the staircase leading up to the girls' dormitories, but he stopped you. "Can't go up there, sweetness." You nodded your head quickly, turning paths abruptly, making you dizzy and causing you to trip over air. "Come on." He muttered, pulling you up and hoisting you up into his arms.

You giggled as he made a beeline to his dormitory and winked back at the two party hosts who wolf-whistled. "Nothing's going to happen sweetness, you do know that right? That'd be called taking advantage and we don't do that in the Finnegan household." "Mmh, I love you." "No, that's not going to work darling."

"Fuck."

- you two met when he first exploded something, and you wanted to help him

- from then on, you decided to study spells and help him, so he wouldn't explode stuff

- he would be kinda lazy at the beginning but would give in and learn with you

- he'd be so thankful that you were so invested in helping him and that's how he started to grow his feelings towards you

- you two would always be holding hands

- he would buy you two commitment rings

- he wouldn't like too much PDA, but would drown you with kisses when you two were alone

- he'd tease you about how you two met - "we had a spark"

- he would always make you laugh with his sarcastic jokes and even when they weren't that funny, you would still laugh because of how adorable he is

Poly Seamus and Oliver

What a poly relationship with Seamus and Oliver would include:

- Seamus has a lot of dry humor, and sometimes it's hard to tell if he's joking or serious if you don't know him very well. Especially if you're Oliver Wood, who is completely oblivious to the world around him unless it has something to do with quidditch. So, Seamus will probably be making a lot of sarcastic, dry comments that go right over Oliver's head.

- Eventually Oliver will start to hear the difference but he is still unsure so he'll flat out ask. "You ready for potions next, Y/N. I'm personally quite excited." "... Was that sarcasm, Sea?" "No, Ollie, I'm in love with Snape didn't Y/N tell you?" Of course, Seamus responds with more sarcasm and poor Ollie is left to decipher if the second statement sounds possible enough for him to actually be serious, or ask for your professional opinion.

- "Is... is he really in love with Snape, Y/N?" "Well, what do you think Ollie?" "Well I think he sounded quite serious." "Well, then it sounds to me like he's in love with Snape." "Bloody well knows how to pick 'em, aye?" "Be careful with the insults you're throwing around, Ollie. Remember we're his partners which means he picked us too." "So exactly as I was sayin', Y/N- Ow! You didn't need to hit me that hard did you?" "It was just your arm, you'll survive." "Right, and I'm the keeper. That's my keeper arm!" "There is no such thing as a keeper arm!"

- Seamus convincing you to wear face makeup and go all out for every one of Oliver's games, something of course Oliver very much appreciates. Of course, it's Dean who did all the painting. Seamus would somehow manage to blow up the paints if he tried.

- Oliver and Seamus arguing over whether Scotland or Irish are better, and you chiming in with "I think both accents are just as cute.." to get their attention. They both stop mid argument and turn to look at you, lounging nearby on a couch or bed, and then they look back at each other, and before you can blink they've pounced on you and began showering you in kisses as they whisper sweet things in your ears.

- Oliver rambling on for hours and hours about quidditch and Seamus just sitting there, listening and chiming in every once in a while.

- Dean would be around a lot. Obviously, he knows when not to be around and is respectful about it, but Oliver is aware that when he started dating you and Seamus, Dean was a part of that package, romantic or not.

- Seamus would get jealous very easily. Oliver would get jealous too, but he probably wouldn't even realize there was a reason to be jealous until he noticed Seamus' reaction. Unless of course the person was very obviously flirting with you then he would step in on his own: walking up behind you to wrap an arm around your waist and pull you into his side. "So. Who's this then, Y/N?"

- You and Seamus started dating because you were friends with Neville, and then you met Oliver through Harry. And then Seamus met Oliver, and all three of you bonded and then eventually Seamus and you asked Oliver to join you two.

Poly Dean and Seamus

What a poly relationship with Seamus and Dean would include:

- You would never be in your own clothes, if they can help it. They both love to see you in their clothes, especially Dean where you would swim in his button ups, big enough for them to be a dress on you.

- Casually holding hands, no matter where you are or what you're doing. At the store, one of them just slides up next to you and takes your hand in theirs like it's instinct. Walking down through the park, one on each side of you and both your hands being occupied. Eating dinner, and whatever hand you're not eating with is being held.

- Dean leaning down to give you forehead kisses whenever he feels like it. When you're cuddling, when you're watching a movie, when you're reading, when you're working from home.

- Dean making you and Seamus act as his models, so he can practice his art. Of course, Seamus can't sit that still for that long so you need to keep him occupied, with stories or playing with his hair, or playing games like rock paper scissors and patty-cake.

- Speaking of Seamus needing something to do: this boy absolutely has ADHD, and he has it bad. And once he discovers fidget toys, he will be buying at least one of each kind he can find.

- As a joke, you and Dean would set up a swear jar for Seamus, but in the end you two end up putting more quarters in the jar then Seamus.

- Laying out a blanket in the backyard, pigging out on pizza and soda.

- Getting tattoos together (not matching tattoos, but each of you getting a tattoo when you go to the parlors)

- Seamus stealing Dean's good pens and drawing on you and Dean.

- At one point Seamus decides he wants to grow a beard, and then Dean decides to grow one with them (maybe you join them, if you want to grow a beard as well) and Seamus gets annoyed because growing a beard is so effortless for Dean.

- Of all the ground rules you have set in this relationship "Seamus is not allowed to cook" is the most enforced one. He is not allowed to cook, handle anything too hot or with open flame (including cauldrons, stoves, microwaves, coffee pots, lighters, matches, etc) without being carefully watched.

- Of course Seamus is a pyromaniac and Dean can never say no to him so Seamus somehow always ends up with a lighter to play with anyways. You can always tell when he went on one of his little pyromaniac benders because you'll find little things that have been burnt or melted: corners of pages, pen caps, the wax bars you seal your letters with, edges of plastic cups or plates, the list goes on.

- I think Seamus and Dean would both like coffee AND tea, but Seamus would favor tea and Dean would favor coffee.
