After the season 1 cliffhanger,

● Julie and Carlos have a heart to heart about ghosts, which Ray overhears and then it turns into a 'the Molinas are amazing hug fest'

● It takes a while to figure out Nick/Caleb and how to deal with that

● The boys gradually become visible when they aren't playing with Julie, and officially come back to life (complete with heartbeats!) after Caleb is defeated, although they retain their ghost powers too

● It takes Alex and the gang a good while to track Willie down, since Caleb was punishing him by keeping him locked up in the club, but Julie totally uses her ghost powers on him too

● Once Caleb is gone for good, Ray brings Tía Victoria in on everything and because she is amazing, she only mildly freaks out before trying to feed all the ghost boys

● Ray also has a come to jesus talk with Trevor, who then a) has a good talk with each of the boys, and b) sets up a trust fund with all the proceeds from his first album for the boys

● Ray offers to adopt all the boys while completing their "come back to life" paperwork. But then, because Luke and Julie are leaning towards something romantic, and Willie and Alex are already dating, Tía Victoria adopts Luke and Willie, and Ray adopts Alex and Reggie.

● Ray handles the discussion about school a lot better than the Pattersons did, and discovers that part of Luke's hatred of school was because of his undiagnosed dysgraphia.

● The boys agree to go back and at least get their hs diplomas, and just take some time to adjust to being alive (and go to therapy).

I am so enthusiastically obsessed with the idea of Julie and the phantoms s2, but I need them to understand that the best (only) way to do that is to pretend that the last 4 years didn't happen. no time jump, no recastings (if they can help it), no explanation on why Carlos was 9, but now he's 14, none. just simply pretend s2 came out right away. give me one. "Wow, you grew fast since dinner." "yea I ate my veggies," and then simply move on. it would be perfectly comedic and simply nothing would be better

THE SUNSET CURVE DEMO

I found the photos randomly on a site

What was interesting to me was the description on the demo. They met at high school (apparently they didn’t study at Los Feliz) and formed the band while being students (which was obvious)

It’s such a same we never heard Late Last Night, Lakeside Reflection and In Your Starlight

ALSO WHILE IM HERE I NEED TO TALK ABOUT THE RESURFACE OF JULIE AND THE PHANTOMS

So as we know jatp was cancelled a few years ago after waiting for months for a season two announcement. An announcement that never came..

BUT! All of the cast has been posting about jatp or referencing jatp in posts, for example in madisons instagram post today teasing her new single in the caption she states she ‘channelling her inner Julie’ AND she put #jatp in the caption, Owen’s tiktok about the possibility of a jatp season 2, jeremy covering ‘this band is back’, savannah posting a tiktok about all of the season 2 rumours, Kenny being back with his old agency, the Netflix contract ending, kenny putting @julieandthephantoms in his instagram bio again, jadah responding to a video about jatp AND Charlie cutting his hair like lukes (he said he would only do that if there was season 2)

So over the past few days I have been gathering all of this evidence and praying to the gods that luck will be on our side and we will get what we have been wishing for since 2020 🙏🙏

(And if season 2 does get announced I will be an absolute pain in the ass for about 3 days ☺️)

Dave (one of the JATP writers) said the plan was for Julie and Carrie to reconcile in season 2 🥹 also that the reason the girls drifted in the first place was because when Carrie’s parents were getting divorced and Julie was going through her own problems, Julie wasn’t there for Carrie and Carrie took it personally.

which makes a lot of sense.

This post might make you guys a little sad but it also might make you a little happy

What could have happened in JatP

Reggie legit bonding with Carlos now that he knows about the phantoms with funny communication shenanigans since Carlos probably still can't see him and Reggie getting a surrogate little brother

Alex finding out both Julie and Flynn are bi (my personal headcanon) and tearing up because they're just so chill about being queer

Bobby/Trevor losing his freaking mind because apparently his past came back to haunt him and they made a new band with Rose's daughter

Julie experimenting with the synthesizer keyboard

Willie just pining for Alex in the Hollywood Ghost Club and Alex trying to figure out how to get him out from under Caleb's thumb

More group hugs

Nick battling for control against Caleb possessing his body because Chad and Ryan raised a strong, good young man

Honestly more of Ray struggling with being a good dad to a teenager who's started to rebel just a little because she's fifteen years old and starting to get famous

Carrie struggling with how to be authentic in her music while feeling the pressure of her dad's success

For that matter, Carrie finding out her dad's a hack

Luke and Flynn finding a way to bond. I just feel like they would vibe.

Eventually (after a lot of making up and character growth) Flynn and Carrie composing electronic music together

Julie having to actually learn a bunch of stuff about hologram technology because you can only dodge the question for so long
