Lap 1 turn 1 Verstappen takes off with his brand new rocket ship.
Perez also had a decent start gaining some positions early on.
Mid-race Leclerc and Sainz swap places as Leclerc’s imbalance issue made him lock up at every single turn and Sainz did an impressive overtake which put him on the podium next to Verstappen and Perez and also gave him Driver of The Day by one third of the votes.
Mercedes, McLaren, and Aston Martin also bagged some points - descending in the respective order.
Sadly, Williams was a disappointment as Albon was far from points and Sargeant locked up (as usual) sending smoke up the sky.
Sauber seems to have improved but still wouldn’t be considered threatening or as relevant.
Haas’s race pace seems to have improved thanks to Komatsu's focus on tyre degradation.
The RB drivers had tensions as team orders let Riccardo through and Tsunoda did not take it well.
Alpine seems to be at rock bottom but still remained positive post-race.
Although it's only the first race, it doesn't look like the drivers and constructors ranking will change significantly towards the end of the race year.
Despite the Preds loosing I’m still proud of them! They did good! Though I hope they avoid getting penalties the next time they play as that didn’t help them. They played amazing! They played tried their best to score! And I hope Glass is okay, the puck and stick to the face looked painful! Can’t wait for the next game! Go Preds! 💛💙🤍
Put the Steelers in a chokehold the second the game started. Loving how we picked up exactly where we left off last year; defense showing why they're the best in the league, Purdy putting on everyone on notice that last season wasn't a fluke, and Christian doing Christian things. Excellent start to Week 1 🏈
