Grey's Anatomy, Jo's sister is/was in an abusive relationship and tries to hide it from Jo, but Alex finds out because she is running to him after her boyfriend snapped again?

Tired and confused, with the hood pulled over your head to shield your battered face from the outside world and your bloody hands hidden in your pockets, you walked through the rainy streets of Seattle. Coldness permeated your body - you just had a light blouse and an torn leather jacket on.

You didn't had enough time to grab a real jacket, you just wanted to get out. Another argument between you and your violent boyfriend had escalated and ended for you in the bath of your own blood.

Blood. Your white blouse underneath the jacket was already soaked in the red liquid pouring out of the gash on your upper abdomen. You stopped under an lantern and pulled your hands out of your pockets to wipe something off your face before you stopped in your tracks and looked at the scratches and bruises that were already forming on them.

The sight alone was enough to turn your stomach upside down and you slowly put your trembling hands into your pockets again as you walked further.

You carefully chose side streets, even though they were the most dangerous at this time. You were too scared that a patrol car would see you and bring you back. It would be your death.

Your feet steered you to the familiar house. You walked up the small stairs to the door and rang the bell. You knew that your sister wouldn't be home having a night shift and that was a good thing; you didn't want her to know what was happening behind closed doors.

You just needed a safe place to stay for tonight.

Holding a hand on your wound, you leaned against the door frame and waited for it to be opened. You noticed how your legs slowly gave up and the corners of your eyes became darker. Just before you wanted to leave, you heard loud footsteps in the apartment. The door opened and two shocked hazelnut brown eyes looked at you in disbelief.

"Alex.." you whispered in an suppressed voice while slowly losing the strength to stand. "Please help me."

Immediately he crossed the last few inches that stood between you and caught you just in time before you doubled over in pain. Your brother-in-law carefully put his arms around you and took you to his apartment where he gently laid you on the couch. "What the hell happened to you, Y/n?!". Slowly he knelt down in front of you, one hand grabbing the sides of your hood and pressing it away from your face, letting him gain access to it.

"He tried to kill me." you stuttered as you started crying.

His eyes wide open as he inhaled sharply from the first second when he saw the blood on your face slowly dripping down to your neck area. His first thought was to call your sister and ask her to come over right away, but it disappeared when he understood that you and first aid had priority. "Who, Y/n?"

His hand gently laying on your hair, he took a few lost hair strands from your face and inspected individual wounds. The ones on your face weren't that deep, the blood had already stopped and the remains on your skin were already starting to dry. The black eye was a case for a cold pack and the split lip just needed a tiny swab with a healing cream.

"Mike."

He stopped his movements immediately when the name fell and his eyes met yours. The brown gradually darkened and his cheeks became redder as he pressed his teeth together and his lips formed into a line; he was seething with anger inside.

His hand, which he hid in front of the sofa so you wouldn't see, was placed into a fist as a way to control his anger for the moment. His knuckles turned white at the thought that this clenched fist collided with the face of your hopefully now ex-boyfriend before his sight caught your hand, which was still holding your side.

"What's under there?" he asked but no answer came. Your eyes were fixated on him as your tears that fell like a light waterfall over your cheeks, washed the blood stains from your face, not even dare to speak a word. "Let me see?"

With a nod in agreement, he proceeded to pull down the zipper of your jacket to gain access. He was shocked at the sight of the huge blood stain and without hesitation ran into the bathroom to get some things he needed. "I need to open your shirt. I need to see what is going on underneath."

"Okay." you stuttered behind heavy breaths as you closed your eyes to look away. You couldn't take blood, just the red liquid on your hands made you sick.

While he patched you up, you lay there motionless and let your thoughts wander. The adrenaline disappeared with every minute you let Alex take care of you and with ever swipe of his fingers you winced in pain. "I am almost done. Hold still, please."

"You need to promise me something." you added when you tried to turn the subject off of what was happening. You realized, what you had done. You ran to your sister's husband for help. You told him what happened and you didn't even lied. You were in her apartment, lying on her couch, bleeding. And she was never allowed to find out about it.

"Anything, baby girl."

You swallowed hard before biting your lip as the disinfectant hit another open wound. Between gritted teeth you could only utter short, gasping words. "You can't tell my sister. You can't tell her what happened and that I was even here."

Hi, I absolutely adored your Andrew DeLuca fic!!

I was hoping (if you still write) if you would write an imagine being his fiancé or maybe wife and changing specialties and transferring to OB under Carina

Being Married to Andrew Deluca & Switching to OB

Andrew would be very conflicted about this. On one hand, he wants to support you because you’re his wife and he’s thrilled that you’re following your dreams and finding what you really want to do with your career. But on the other hand, that means you’ll be training under his sister! The dramatic side of him just knows that she’ll corrupt you and you two will gang up on him. How is he supposed to handle that?!

So when you give him the news and he just stands there, his face frozen, you begin to panic, thinking that he doesn’t like it. Your face drops and the only thing that snaps Andrew out of his thoughts is seeing tears pool into your eyes. “Oh honey, no, no, no! I’m thrilled! I’m so happy for you!” He’ll say and will give you a big bear hug, lifting you up and spinning you around.

A big grin breaks out on your face and you wrap your arms around him. He peppers you with light kisses, making you giggle. Then, he makes you promise not to ditch him for Carina. You oblige with a laugh, not thinking that he’s serious. You know Carina, what’s going to happen??

In no time at all, you and Carina become BFFs. She already adored you, but now she adores you even more and loves working with you. She thinks you’re so talented and has so much fun with you! She even jokes to Andrew that she’s going to steal you away from him, which makes him the tiniest bit jealous. He loves that you and his sister are bonding but just like he predicted, the two of you are a relentless tag team on teasing him.

This leads to many small squabbles between the DeLuca siblings in Italian, which you get a front row seat to. You find it charming and that it just makes Andrew even cuter than he already was. You assure him that while you love Carina, he’ll always be number #1 and he accepts that. He can’t deny, he loves seeing the two of you as an unstoppable force. He also loves listening to you talk about how cute the babies are and your stories about the patients. He’ll always be there for you and will drop everything for you if you’ve lost a patient. Andrew and Carina are a great team and do the best job at comforting you. He also loves to watch you preform surgery.

All in all, Andrew is so supportive and you only get closer to Carina!

Icebreaker - UCMH #1 by Hannah Grace, 447 pages, published November 22nd 2022 - 🌟🌟🌟🌟 I will openly admit I had one main issue with this book, and thinking on it now I think it was probably the only issue I had with the book. That issue being it was too long, in a weird way. So I loved every scene I wanted to read all of it. But there was definitely a minimum of five chapters at least that just weren’t needed and could have been extra stuff, my thing is these are directly in the middle of the story as a bunch of stuff is going on - we get this lull of happy fluff that in my opinion could have just waited and would have helped with my feelings of feeling like I was being dragged along. All of that said I want to say I did really really like this book and all of the characters within it. There are so many potential paths I can see the following books possibly going down and all of them excite me. Cheers to our Olympic gold medalist Anastasia Allen!! You maybe have started your story in some bad relationships both with people, planners, and food. But by the end you were flourishing and being the best you that there ever could be by surrounding yourself with people who love you (The Boys, Lola, Nathan), working on yourself when it came to food and emotions, and just overall making time to enjoy the moment!! If you haven’t picked up Icebreaker by Hannah Grace yet - I 100% recommended it as an amazing holiday break relaxation read! Also if anyone has anymore ice skating romance books I need them yesterday!! Please and thank you. 💕⛸️

For being a surgeon Meredith really was an oblivious mess sometimes, actually convincing herself that the normal way to deal with your undying "hatred" for someone is to curate a mixtape. Being a teen in the 80s totally taught her that version of the message of mixtapes.. right.

And then there's also the fact that you don't courate mixtapes for the people you hate, Meredith. Especially not when the finished product is basically a love letter. The logical side of her brain supplied sarcastically as she realised that not even kissing Derek Shepherd or any man in the world would ever feel intense as the thought of Addison Montgomery smiling at her. There was absolutely no straight explanation for finding out the guy you're dating is married and the first thing you notice as you escape to Joe's to get drunk is, how the song playing is reminding you of how drop dead gorgeous the wife - whose husband you're apparently screwing - is.
