He mumbled while motioning for you to join him against the wall. After a moment of hesitation, you decide to entertain your old friend, having not talked to anyone besides Leah since the breakup. You blushed and took his offer, stepping in and the smell of vanilla and oak overcame you. “I’m Bucky, by the way”. He led you into the kitchen and stuck on the kettle and began rummaging around looking for the book. “I assume you met everyon- oh please tell me you haven’t talked to Ari?” You giggled softly and he groaned. “God he tries to get his hand on every woman who come onto the street, you should have seen how disappointed he was when he found out Wanda and Nat were lesbians” You laughed softly and he smiled at you. “You have a beautiful laugh” 

You blushed hard and he handed you the book, filled to the brim with leaflets and cards. “Woah, thank you Bucky” “You’re welcome, honey. Would you like some tea?” You smiled and nodded as you began flicking through the book, but got a little shocked when a white fluffy cat jumped up on the table. The cat purred and nudged his head under your hand, you gently rubbed him and smiled when Bucky turned back. “I see you’ve met Alpine” “Aw! That’s such a cute name.” You kept petting him as Bucky handed you your tea and soon enough Alpine nestled down on the chair beside you. “So tell me about yourself, y/n. What's a gorgeous girl doing out here on a farm all alone”. You blushed at his slight compliment and told him the whole story of how and why you moved out leaving him in awe. “That’s quite the life story, honey”. You nodded and finished your tea. “Don’t I know it” You looked over at the clock and then out the window to where the sun was setting. You closed over the book and looked at Bucky. “I should probably get going now, I have a lot of animals to feed now” You both chuckled and you gave the book back to Bucky but he refused. “Keep it, honey. You need it more than I do”. You smiled and gave him a quick hug before leaving. 

The next few months were amazing for you. Flowers and plants began blossoming up all over your land, all your animals were healthy and producing well and you were getting close with all your neighbours. You and Steve would constantly bake on the weekends and you, Wanda and Natasha would all package up honey to sell. But you also grew closer to Bucky, you could sense that something was there. You just didn’t know what. You would constantly have tea at his house, sometimes bringing whatever baked goods you and Steve made that weekend and him teaching you the tricks of the trade. But then it all kinda stopped. Bucky stopped inviting you over and slowly started to stop coming out onto the road. You vented your heart out to the girls about how you were feeling and they felt awful for you, but there wasn’t much they could do, there wasn’t much anyone could do. So you gave up. You realised he must not feel the same and that nothing was going to happen. But that’s not what was happening. Bucky wanted you so bad that he had to distance himself from you, too worried to upset you, or make you uncomfortable that he literally had to take himself away from you. You were out the next day, scraping up some honey from your beehives as mittens flops and rolls around the grass beside you. You spotted someone walking up the lane and soon realised it was Bucky. You quickly dropped your scraper and began taking off your bee suit and running over to him. You opened your gate and ran down to him. “Bucky! Hey Bucky!” He turned and gave you a nervous smile. “H-hey, honey” You gave him a big hug and gently rocked side to side. “I’ve missed you so much! Where have you been?” “Jus’ been a bit down, lovely”. You frowned at his words. “Well why don’t you come over for a picnic later”. Bucky smiled softly and nodded, making you squeal with excitement. “How about four? Oh! And bring Alpine too, he can play with mittens. You smiled and let Bucky start walking again. “See you later!!”. You ran back to your house and instantly began preparing. You made your best sandwiches and picked your best strawberries, and got the best bottle of champagne from Wanda and Natahsa and packed up some of the cookies you and Steve made this weekend. You showered and got changed quickly, putting on a small sundress covered in little flowers. You went down to your field with your basket and blanket in one hand and mittens in the other. You laid it down and placed mittens on it before setting up the platter of food and laying little flowers on it. You sat down once you saw Bucky walking up the lane. He walked in your gate, Alpine trotting along behind him, you waved at him and he waved back. You stood up and hugged him as he got the blanket. “Hi Bucky” “Hi Honey” you both smiled and sat at the blanket and you showed Bucky. “I made ham and cheese sandwiches, picked and washed some strawberries from my greenhouse, those are cookies me and Steve last weekend and I stole some champagne from Wanda and Nat.” Bucky smiled widely at you. “Wow y/n, this all looks amazing.. You really didn't have to do all this for me”

“But I wanted to, you said you were feeling down, plus you helped me so I help you”. He smiled at you with so much love in his eyes and looked at the food. “Can I try one of your sandwiches?” You nodded and handed him one and you both began to eat. As you both ate you talked over how life has been and how you both were. By the end of the picnic, your head was resting on Buck’s shoulder and both the cats were snuggled up together. He gently stroked your arm and inhaled the scent of your hair as you watched the sunset. “I missed this honey, I missed us”. You sat up and looked at him, gently stroking his face. “I missed it too..  I got really worried about you. Why were you down Buck?” He sighed and rubbed his forehead. “I can’t tell you sweetheart” You pouted and moved your hand to his chin. “Yes you can..” Once he heard that, he gently moved his face closer to yours and kissed you softly, taking you by surprise but you kissed him back. The kiss slowly became more and more passionate as Bucky brought his hands to the side of your face and mumbled out. “That’s why I’ve been down.. Couldn't have you”. He kissed you more and you crawled into his lap. “I want you too Bucky”. You moaned out into the kiss making him pull away. “You sure?”

“Positive.” Bucky quickly scoops up you and two cats before running back to your house. He dropped the two cats off at the door and brought you upstairs as he kissed you more. He kicked open your bedroom door and laid you on the bed, groaning at the sight of your perked nipples through your dress. He pulled off his flannel and his vest before kneeling between you and kissing down the outside of your dress. “Fuck, you’re gorgoeus, honey”. He kept going down before laying flat on his stomach and flipping your dress up and tugging down your pretty white panties revealing your dripping core. Bucky licked a stripe up your pussy and groaned. “Yup.. sweet like honey” Bucky ate you out like a starved man as you fisted his hair up in your hand and rocked your hips into his face before coming all over it. He moaned into your mouth. “Cum for me baby” You moaned loudly and clenched hard around him, causing his own orgasm to wash over him. You both froze, staring at each other as your highs slowly faded. Bucky pulled out slowly and quickly ran to your bathroom and grabbed a towel before coming back and wiping you both down. He tossed the clothes onto the floor and helped you under the covers, holding you close. “Get some rest, honey. You wake up the next morning to the smell of pancakes floating through the house. You quickly grabbed Bucky’s flannel and put it on, running down stairs and hugging Bucky’s waist. He chuckled softly and hugged your arms. “Hi Bucky” 

“Hi y/n, how’d you sleep beautiful?”

“So well” you replied back as you went over to the two cats, curled up on the couch. You went back over to Bucky and looked at him before speaking. “What happened last night, I ho-”. Bucky cut you off with a kiss and chuckled softly. “No it wasn’t just a one time thing.. I want this with you honey… I want it all”. You kissed his cheek. “Good.. Cause i want it all too” 

Bucky smiled at you and dished up the pancakes. “C’mon love, lets go have this on the deck, maybe Ari will come out and believe me you don’t wanna miss his reaction when he realises he can’t have you either!”

You hadn’t been trying to hide the fact that you were dating, it just never really came up

Abigail left Sebastian’s house with so many questions.

On nights when you couldn’t hang out or sleep over at one of your houses, you’d all get on a discord video call and fall asleep together <3

Sebastian is normally the last one asleep, being the night owl he is

He loves falling asleep to the sound of his two boys gently snoring

Gaming nights on call is also a common occurrence

Imagine hopping on Apex and having to fight that trio. it wouldn’t go very well

Sam is the one who always want to go out and do something, often getting bored with just staying in

The three of you always make sure that nobody feels left out, allaying giving extra cuddles and kisses to whoever is feeling a little lonely

Overall it’s a very healthy relationship!

You have always been a very busy person, you have to take care of your farm, maintain good relationships with the villagers and many more. Basically there is not one day where you didn’t sleep at 12:00 am or pass out during mining.

But this clearly didn’t stop you from eyeing on a certain blonde villager that you always pass by while you’re running errands.

He’s buddies with Sebastian,Abigail and Penny. He also lives with his parents beside Emily’s and Haley’s house.

His name is Sam.

You remembered the first day that you stepped into pelican town and your task is to meet new people in the town.

You were running around the town to find new people to introduce to until you accidentally bumped into someone, it was Sam.

The both of you introduced each other and continued with what the both of you were originally doing.

You felt your heart skipped a beat when you saw Sam for the first time.

At that moment you realized,

He was the one.

Its already Year 2 and you see yourself being held by the man of your dreams.

You snuggled closer to Sam which caught his attention. He strokes your hair, comforting you as you were on the verge of tearing up.

How did you end up in this situation? Well…

You had a nightmare.

You often have nightmares but not to this extent.

You clinged onto him tighter because the thought of it being real was too much for you.

“Deep breaths sweetie, deep breaths. Remember, that I’m always here for you okay ?” Sam assured as he kisses your temple. You felt so comforted by his touch and presence to the point where you almost caught yourself falling asleep, he didn’t mind of course. The whole purpose of him comforting you was so that you could fall asleep.

He kissed you multiple times making you smile because you're quite tickle-ish (he thinks its cute).

The both of you spent the night wrapped in eachother's arms as the night goes by.

I wasn't planning another part of the story but I had a really great idea and here it is!

Sebastian's pov

I stare blankly up the ceiling in my room. I should be feeling something. Nervous? Excited? But I feel nothing.

I glance at the ridiculous blue suit I have to wear for the flower dance. It was ironed and neatly arranged on my bed. My mom must've done it.

I didn't mind going to the flower dance. It was just something that you did. Ive been going to the dance with Abigail since we were kids and I never minded it. Abigail was fine. She was just like me. We liked the same things. Things were easy with her. Simple.

The new girl though...she was...

I shake my head and bury that thought deep in my head. I sigh and put on the suit.

Light music could be heard. Everyone had passed the rickety bridge to get to a clearing in the forest, where the dance always happens. Which by the way, is definitely some sort of safety hazard.

Abigail helped Sam remove a stain from his shirt. I looked around and saw the farmer. She was going around talking to everyone. Everyone but me. I get it. I wouldn't want to talk to me either.

I rolled my eyes as she talked to Elliot. I don't know how she can stand him. All I see is a pretentious man with romance novel hair.

Abigail leads me to the centre and I follow with my hands in my pockets. The music started and I looked around for the farmer.

Where was she?...

Why is Elliot dancing with Leah?

Why is she standing next to linus?

Wait...

Did no one ask her?...

Oh god...I'm an idiot.

And she dressed up too...

What would she say if I asked her?

No...no I can't.

I looked at Abigail as she spun around. I have to stay here. Where it's easy. Simple.

It’s Long Overdue

I have an interest in writing a book so this is me practicing my skill, you can leave advices on what do you like, where could I improve too. But please be civil, thank you. ENJOY🌙

She sits across the room from him, looking at him doing his work on the computer. She never thought he was the type of guy she would befriend. But they are actually more similar than she thought, they both like fantasy books and games.

Friend is an interesting word to use to describe them. They normally hang out in a group with Sam and Abby, especially when they have band practice. Sometimes Sam would let her play his guitar.

Underline sometime with a red marker, really, sometime. But understandable, she wouldn't want people to play her guitar too if she had one.

Not until lately that she and Seb start hanging out alone. It starts when she comes back from mining and sees him beside the lake smoking so she says hi to him. He said he likes to be alone in his thoughts, but he wouldn't mind some company, so she sticks around.

And it develops into hanging out in his room together.

"It's kinda late." She said, looking at the clock on the desk. "I need to wake up early tomorrow. I think I should go."

"Oh, Okay. I forgot some people wake up when the sun rises sometime." He said with a playful tone.

Why did she say 'Friend' is an interesting word to use?

Because they both have feelings for each other, well at least her. But Sebastian isn't the one who could keep feeling very well, behind that melancholia layer is a guy who really has a sensitive soul.

Longing glances, however good he thinks he hid it wasn't good enough.

Every game the group plays, every hang-out, an invitation would always be extended to the farmer. Not once do these eyes stop scanning around for the sight of the farmer.

It took only a while that the group to catch on to their feelings and start teasing them. She herself gets so clingy on him. If there is a void egg lying around, he's the one who gets it first.

So it wasn’t so hard to pick it up.

They both kinda know what's going on, but no one makes the first move.

He probably didn’t because he was scared she would reject him, what if it's all in his head? What if she is just nice?

He couldn't risk doing it and making things awkward, so he didn't. He doesn't want to lose her.

And her? Because she is scared too, her relationship history isn't the best. She has too many relationships that she feels a lot more than her partner, trying too hard, too many.

Sebastian doesn't show a lot of emotion, and that could be interpreted as lack of it. She knows deep down it wasn't true, but her insecurity and anxiety is holding her back.

But today is not the day, it's long overdue. Will they, won't they trope, could be cute for so long.

She is willing to risk it again, willing to let herself feel emotion, risking her heart break, risking saying goodbye if need to.

If the bet is to be with him, love him in the way that just a friend can't, touch him, to be with him.

"Seb"

"Yes?" He looks in her eyes, and that makes her stomach feel like it has more butterflies than it already is.

"I like you... more than friends." She struggles to make her feelings clear. "I think I’m in love with you."

It's out. He looks at her in shock, his expression hasn't changed much, but she could tell he's shocked.

Sebastian couldn’t believe what he heard, that monster inside him kept telling him it never gonna happen. But right now it did. The monster is gone, got shadowed by that simple sentence.

Then he smiles, a smile that can lighten up the whole world. "I think I feel the same, you don't know how many times I dream of this moment."

She let out a breath, she was relieved. She walks toward his chair and hugs him, resting her head on his head. He held her waist and rested his head on it, she could feel him smile.

It felt so good, it was warm. It feel so comfortable.

But at the same time her heart was still racing so fast she was scared she would have a heart attack. But fuck it, dying in this emo boy's arm does not sound bad at all.

Giddy, that's the way she made me feel. The uncertainty of whether her visits to me were a formality or something more drove me crazy, but what could I do? I'm too much of a coward to ever bring it up with her. Fridays nights at the Saloon always end with me walking her back to the farm. Was she just too tipsy to ask why I was going out of my way to walk her home when it was out of the way or did she want me to? Those nights we'd walk down the dark path toward the farm, only illuminated by her ring, which surrounded her with a halo of light. In those moments she looked so beautiful, so etherial, it makes me question everything I've ever known since. I wanted to be enveloped in her golden light, her warm complexion, to look into her amber eyes and tell her exactly how I felt.

Chapter 17: A Date

Summer 26

As days turned into weeks, Sebastian found himself avoiding Angeline, afraid that his thoughts would betray him. He felt torn between wanting to be friends and his newfound desire that had been awakened the night of the luau. 

The image of Angeline in that stupid outfit burned into his mind. Every time he closed his eyes, he saw the way the sunlight played on her tanned skin, the way her short hair moved in the breeze, and her soft curves. 

He needed to stop…

He groaned and buried his face into his hands. He needed to stop. It was starting to get annoying how easily the thought of her caused his cock to twitch. He felt like a fifteen year-old all over again. 

It wasn’t just the physical attraction that bothered him; it was the way it made him feel. He felt truly guilty for thinking of her in such a way. As if he betrayed her trust. He couldn’t shake the feeling that gnawed at him.

He was supposed to be her friend for Yoba’s sake! Just as Sebastian was about to drown himself deeper in his own despair, Sam and Abigail burst through his door, making him jolt. He really needed to get better at locking his door. 

“I told you he wasn’t dead.” Abigail said, causing Sebastian to roll his eyes. 

“Dude, where have you been?” Sam said as he plopped down on Sebastian’s bed, causing the wood to whine from his weight. “You disappeared!” 

Sebastian sighed and shifted in his chair. “It’s not like I don’t disappear from time to time.” He crossed his arms over his chest.     

Abigail frowned as she stared down at Sebastian, resting her hands on her hips. “...Something is up with you.” 

Sam nodded in agreement. “Yeah man, you’re not even answering your texts.” 

“So?” Sebastian was starting to feel defensive. He knew he was being weird, but he didn’t want to tell his friends why. They were close but they weren’t that close.

“So what’s up?” Abigail asked, genuine concern in her voice. 

Sebastian sighed and stared up at the ceiling. What did he say? What could he say? He frowned and played nervously with his bangs. 

Sebastian shook his head, trying to collect his thoughts. “It’s nothing, really.” He glanced over at Sam and Abby. “I…I just– stuff on my mind.” 

Abigail narrowed her eyes at Sebastian, unconvinced. She wasn’t going to let him off that easy. She never did. “Stuff? That’s all we get?” She tapped her foot against the floor in annoyance. “You’ve been avoiding everyone like you’re in witness protection or something.” 

Sam leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees. “Come on, Seb.” He gave Sebastian a sincere smile. “We’re your friends. You can talk to us.” 

Sebastian shifted uncomfortably in his chair. Why did they have to care so much? It only added to his guilt. “It’s Angeline…” he admitted. He looked down at his lap, his leg jostling from the anxiety he felt. 

Sam and Abigail exchanged a glance, a smirk playing on Abby’s lips. “What about her?” She asked. 

Sebastian hesitated, searching for the right words. “I think…I think I like her.” He mumbled, the heat rising to his cheeks and pricking the tips of his ears. 

Sam’s eyebrows shot up in surprise and he grinned. “Like, like her ?” 

Sebastian nodded, feeling ridiculous. “Yeah…” 

There was a moment of silence between the three. It weighed heavily on Sebastian. He hated how he felt. It scared him. He liked her, but the thought of having to deal with those feelings on top of all the other awful feelings he had was going to eat him alive. 

Abigail started to giggle to herself, which caused Sebastian and Sam to look over at her. Sebastian was about to open his mouth to ask her what was so funny, but then Sam started to laugh along with her. He frowned as he watched the two. 

“What is so funny?” Sebastian asked unamused.

Abigail only laughed harder at the question. She leaned over and rested her hands on her bent knees, as if she tired herself out. “I-It’s just…” She laughed harder. “It’s pretty obvious that you do.” 

Sam wiped away a tear and smiled sympathetically. “Y-yeah man, I mean, I’m surprised it took you this long.”  

 Sebastian’s cheeks burned hotter, embarrassment creeping down his neck. How did they know before he did? And how could they just laugh at him like that? Assholes.

“What the fuck do you mean, ‘it’s pretty obvious’?” Sebastian asked, trying to mask his discomfort. He stood up from his chair and started to pace the floor. If it was that obvious did that mean Angeline knew too? 

Abigail managed to compose herself, wiping away a few stray tears. “Seb, come on. We’ve known you for years. You’re not as dark and mysterious as you think.” 

Sam nodded, still grinning widely.”Yeah, seriously.” 

Sebastian felt a mix of relief and frustration. Relief that he was finally coming to terms with his feelings for Angeline, but frustrated at just how fucking funny Sam and Abigail seemed to find all of this. 

“I just don’t know what to do about it,” Sebastian sighed, running his hand through his hair. 

Abigail pursed her lips in thought. “I mean…who’s to say she doesn’t feel the same way?” She shrugged. “Even little basement dwellers like you deserve love.” She teased. 

Sam patted Sebastian on the shoulder. “Yeah, man. She might feel the same way.” 

Sebastian shook his head. It felt impossible. There was no world someone like her would ever like someone like him. “No way.” 

“Yes way!” Abigail argued. “You can’t just decide for her.” 

Sam crossed his arms. “Seb, at least try. You can’t avoid her forever.” Yes he could. “I mean, you’re gonna drive yourself crazy. This place is way too small for that.” He wanted to move anyway. 

Sebastian sighed and looked at his friends, full of uncertainty. “What if she doesn’t feel the same?” He didn’t want to admit it, but he started to truly like the friendship that they built. He didn’t want to lose that. 

Abigail placed a hand on his arm, giving him a reassuring squeeze. “You won’t know until you talk to her.” She smiled at him. “And if she’s as great as she seems to be, she’ll be cool about it.” Sam nodded in agreement. 

Sebastian let out a long sigh. Maybe they were right. He would go crazy if he just tried to sit on his feelings. Even if she didn’t feel the same way things would be okay. It wasn’t like Angeline was a bad person. “I’ll try to talk to her.” He wasn’t sure if he was telling himself that or his friends, but it helped him steel his nerves.

Summer 27 

The next day, Sebastian found himself standing in front of Angeline’s door, his heart pounding against his chest. Taking a deep breath, he knocked. Hopefully she was up. It was painfully early for him, but she was a farmer, she had to be up. 

When she opened the door, a bright smile on her face, Sebastian felt a rush of warmth flood through his chest. He wanted to bask in the feeling. It felt so good. Being around her felt so good. 

“Sebastian!” Angeline greeted. “What’s up?”

“Hey, Angeline,” Sebastian was surprised at how steady his voice was. “I…I want to talk to you about something.” 

“Sure,” Angeline gave Sebastian a concerned look. “What’s up?” 

Sebastian took a deep breath, trying to calm his nerves. “Well, you know how the Dance of the Moonlight Jellies is coming up?” He rubbed the back of his neck. 

Angeline nodded. “Yeah! I’m really excited.” She beamed. “It sounds amazing.” 

“Yeah, it is.” Sebastian said as he glanced around the farm. “And..I was wondering if…if you’d like to go with me. To the festival, I mean.” 

Angeline’s eyes widened in surprise, a smile spreading across her face. “Really?” 

Really? What did she mean ‘really’? 

Sebastian nodded, his heart pounding in his chest. “Yeah…I thought it would be cool.”

Angeline’s smile grew wider, her dimples showing. Her cheeks flushed as she starred up at him. She looked so cute. “Sebastian, I’d love to go with you.” 

Relief flooded through Sebastian, and a grin spread across his face. He couldn’t help but smile. “It’s a date, then.” 

Angeline nodded. “Yeah, a date.”
