Years Down The Line~ Sebastian Sallow X Reader
Summary- It's been years since Y/n has set foot in Hogwarts, since she's been anywhere near where she lived, she's been on adventures, discovering new places, but she knew she needed to come back, for a certain reason, but maybe that certain reason turned into two reasons when she see's Sebastian Sallow once again after years or not talking, what will happen? will they rekindle? or will Y/n let the fear of hurting people around her get in the way of knowing where she truly belongs.
Y/n
I scan the area around me, my eyes darting to the buildings. The beautiful buildings around me. This place. The way it still made my heart still feel at peace. Hogsmeade. I couldn’t believe I was really walking around this place I swore I would never come back too. The place I escaped after Hogwarts. I decided to travel around the world, see different places. To not be just a witch for once but just someone that nobody knew about. I wanted to be free from being the “Hogwarts Hero” it’s been 10 years since my fifth year. I just left without telling anybody where I was going, I didn’t want anything holding me back or trying to keep me from going cause I knew if He would’ve said something, I would’ve stayed. Even though we were nothing more than just friends. Well, even though I was secretly in love with him for years. Everyone always thought of us as an item, Ominis swore up and down that we were just keeping our relationship a secret, especially with all the flirting we were doing. But it never made it past the flirting, he just saw me as just merely a friend, someone to confide in, someone to distract him from his own pain. I wasn’t upset about it, he was someone there for me too, but just a little more then I was too him.
I walk into the Three Broomsticks, ruffling my hair to get the snow out of it. It was winter time here, and it was my favorite part of living here when I was younger, I would constantly run outside to be in the snow, whether that was making snow angels, just enjoying the nice crispy weather or the view. It was a sort of peace being here. I decided to come back for one reason, for Fig. It was his tenth anniversary of his death, I wanted to visit him for the holidays, to talk to him. I haven’t talked to his grave since the year he passed. God did I miss that man, the only man I looked up too, the man who basically looked at me as his own, and yet again I lost someone close to me. I see Sirona making conversations with the people around her, her smile still was as bright as the sun. The way she had this aurora around her. Sirona looks over to where I walked in, her eyes widening at the sight.
“If that isn’t Y/n L/n?” She grins swiftly moving her way towards me. I break out into a grin engulfing her into a hug.
“Sirona, oh how I missed you.” She pulls back slightly scanning me from head to toe, her eyes soften softly.
“Oh my child, you’ve grown to be such a beautiful woman.” She grabs my hand and examines the one on my left hand. “Hm no ring?” She lifts an eyebrow in question directing my way. “I would’ve thought someone swept you up by now, especially that Sebastian Sallow who kept following you around like a lost puppy.” She smirks. I roll my eyes pulling my left hand from her grip.
“No, I do not have anyone in my life at the moment, just me myself and I, Sirona.” I tease looking down at my empty ring finger tracing my finger, hopefully one day someone would take that honor, but I couldn’t knowing Sebastian didn’t. But of course once again my fault in that.
“Have you seen Sebastian, Y/n?” I dart my eyes towards her question ruffling my eyes brows in confusion.
“No, I haven’t seen him since my last year at Hogwarts, I didn’t tell anyone I was leaving…” I whisper looking down at my shoes. “I’m sorry I didn’t bid you goodbye properly.” She looks at me with a soft expression on her face but also a pained one. Oh how I didn’t realize how much people I’ve left behind, all the people who supported me, but they didn’t need me, all I did was cause damage to these amazing people.
“Oh none-sense honey, I knew I would see you again.” She smiles brightly once again ushering me over to the bar. “Come on dear drink on me tonight, butterbeer?” I laugh lightly sitting down on the bar stool taking off my scarf.
“Yes please!” I hear the door open behind me, I look back seeing a certain girl entering the three broomsticks. “Anne?” I shout. The girl looks at me, her hazel eyes exactly like his.
“Y/n!” She exclaims, she drops the bags she recently purchased on the floor running over to me before giving me a welcoming hug. “I didn’t know you were back!” I scan the girl, her smile was bright, she didn’t look pale as the last time I saw her my fifth year, her eyes were shinning. She looked so happy, so strong.
“I didn’t tell anyone, I just missed it here and thought I would visit.” She looks at my tired eyes also doing the same thing I just did to her a minute ago.
“Please tell me you have somewhere decent to stay?” She cocks her head slightly her eyebrows raised waiting for my reply.
“Oh well… not really but at least it’s somewhere rather than no where.” I giggle at her puzzled face when I answer her question.
“No absolutely not, you’re staying with me, just recently moved near here, come on!” She grips my hand, I gulp down my butterbear before hopping down the bar stool.
“You really don’t need to do that Anne, the Holidays are in a couple of days, I don’t wanna be a bother, I’m just here for a certain reason.” Anne furrows her eyebrows.
“No you’re staying with me, I will not take no as an answer.” She replies stubbornly. Just like her brother. I glance at Sirona her eyes already on mine.
“I’ll see you another time, please be sure to stop by before you leave.” She pleads. I laugh lightly nodding my head at her comment.
“Of course I will, Sirona, I promise.”
“Or we’ll just keep her here and there will never be a goodbye in place.” Anne hums softly before taking my hand and leaving the Three Broomsticks grabbing her bags with her other hand, her hand wrapped around my wrist dragging me across Hogsmeade, going the other side of town. I look across from where she was headed to see a small little cottage, smoke coming up from the chimney. Did she live with someone? She smiles up at me opening up the door.
“Guess who’s here!” She shouts into the house. I look ahead to a see a back to me, the person had blonde hair- Ominis.
“Ominis?” I whisper gently walking towards him, he turns around a wide smile on his face.
“Y/n, I knew it was you.” He smiles widely bringing me in for a warm welcomed hug. “I can never forget about you.” I giggle at his soft side my eyes darting from Anne to Ominis.
“So you two?” I scrunch my eyebrows, my eyes still darting between the two with confusion. Ominis smirks wrapping an arm around Anna.
“We’re married.” He looks down at the girl with a gentle look on his face, never in the years that I’ve noticed Ominis did I see such a soft side and Anne brought that out of him.
“What! Anne you couldn’t of told me on the way here!” I pout bringing them both into a hug. I feel a tug at my sweater that was snuggly wrapped around me looking down to see a small little girl with freckles and blonde hair, grey eyes just like Ominis. I look down at the child with wide eyes.
“Y/n, meet Noctua Gaunt.” Anne says with a lovely grin to her face, covering her mouth to escape any giggles coming out. My face must’ve been hysterical, my eyes I swear were going to pop out of my head, as I continue to look at the child, but also cry to see the makings of sweet Ominis and sweet Anne.
“She’s beautiful.” I get down to her level. “Hi Noctua.” I smile at the name once again, Ominis aunt, the only family he looked up too, and here she was but as his daughter. She couldn’t be older than one, all she did was babble and wave with her small little hands. I hear the door slam open.
“Okay I did splurge a little more for Noctua than I liked but I couldn’t help it for my favorite little girl.” I look up to see butt loads of presents covering the face, until the person sets it down and they look straight down at me. Sebastian. I sit up from my kneeling position slowly standing up locking eyes with his. Oh Merlin beard he grew up to be even more handsome. He had a slight stubble, his hair seemed to be more fluffier, his built was filled out, the shirt he was wearing was rolled up to his elbows and the muscles were certainly popping out.
“Sebastian.” I freeze in my spot, as so does he.
“Isn’t this wonderful! I ran into Y/n on the way back home from the Three Broomsticks!” Anne exclaims, so oblivious to what was going on in front of her.
“Come on dear, that’s let them talk- they have a lot to talk about.” Ominis mumbles picking up Noctua with them before heading into the kitchen. Sebastian walks up to me eyeing me up and down.
“Are you real?” I laugh at his comment, Merlin I just might being going hysterical, really. I cover my mouth to stop the laughing fit I just created.
“Come on Sebastian, of course I’m real.” I reply back laughing a bit more before finally settling down. I turn my back on him looking over the whole house, the photos of Ominis and Anne's wedding, photos of Noctua, of Sebastian. I was somewhat jealous of the fact that I didn’t have this but once again it was my fault I didn’t have this beautiful life.
“You left me Y/n.” I freeze in my spot at his comment, shutting my eyes tightly. I knew he was going to bring that up at some point, but only if he knew I did it for him.
“Yes, I did do that…” I trace my fingers on the photo frame of Sebastian in his Auror suit. Probably his first day I’m assuming. “Didn’t know you were Auror.” I try digressing the conversation holding the frame in my hand looking back at him with a small smile. “Honestly imagined you working for the library or becoming a writer honestly.” Sebastian looks at me with soft eyes, a small smirk coming up to his face walking closer to me, he looks down at me grabbing the frame out of my hands softly grazing my fingers as he does so. There it was. All the feelings I was holding back and forgetting came alive again; as I felt his touch and looked into those hazel eyes once again.
“I wanted to write, but something about adventure and going out and helping people is who I want to be, I learned that from the best of course.” He says softly his eyes still latched on my own. I hitch a breath to realize how close we are I can feel his breath on my skin, and the way he looked at me was different then any of our years together.
“Im sorry I didn’t say goodbye.” I blurt out setting the photo down on the counter facing my body fully to look at him. He looks down at the ground stepping away from me. Sebastian turns his back at me running a hand throw his wild hair.
“I waited for you at the Great Hall, to say goodbye, I was going to ask you to travel with me, I was going to ask you to live with me Y/n.” His back still turned on me his hands now gripping his hair.
“Sebastian, I couldn’t stay here even longer, I knew if I talked to you, you would've convince me to stay.” I reply walking over to him placing a delicate hand to his shoulder, he flinches at the contact turning around to face me again tears welled up in those beautiful hazel eyes.
“Damn right I would’ve convinced you to stay, you have no idea how much I wrote to you, asking you to come back to me, I care about you that I’m still waiting for you.” He grabs my hand rubbing his thumb on the back of it softly.
“Sebastian, I can’t… I can’t do this.” Curse me. This man was about to make me feel things I shoved away so long ago. “Anne, Ominis it was nice seeing you, I-I can’t.” I rip my hand away from his grasps my body already missing the way he held me.
“No Y/n wait.” I grab my wand appariting far from their little cottage thinking about the one place I came here for. I open my eyes tears rolling down my cheek looking in front of me to see Professor Figs headstone next to his wife, I crumble down to my knees sobbing.
“I’m sorry! I’m so sorry!” I grip onto his headstone my eyes not stopping the unbelievable amount of tears erupting my face. “I couldn’t be here anymore, without you, I couldn’t bring Sebastian down my path, I couldn’t even help him when he was going through his own dark path I just decided to go along with him, I’m no Hogwarts Hero. I killed you, I’m the reason you were killed. I looked up to you, you were the only one who I thought of as a father.” I sob uncomfortably laying my head down on his gravestone. “I miss you, I’m sorry I haven’t visited, I’m scared of being back here, I’m scared of hurting those around me….” I lean my head back looking up at the sky, the snow was falling barely but it still was beautiful. I think about how the way Sebastian looked at me, he looked at me as if he had seen ghost. The way he touched me gently like he was scared at any moment I was going to crack, and yet I did. I was so weak for letting my emotions get the better of me yet again. I start to rest my eyes all this crying made me exhausted before you know it darkness is surrounding me.
Sebastian
She disappeared again, right in front of my eyes this time. I’m just an idiot to let my emotions get the better of me but just seeing her again. The way she grew up, more mature, she was gorgeous and of course I checked her left hand to see if anyone had taken her side but nobody hadn’t. She has indeed been alone this entire time? Why? Ominis and Anne come rushing in.
“What the bloody hell did you do Sebastian?” Ominis says crossing his arms over his chest
“I almost confessed to her… seeing her after all these years, Merlin Ominis you should’ve saw her, she looked so beautiful but yet so broken, so long gone.” I respond pacing back and fourth the room running my hand through my hair trying to wrap my mind on to what just happened.
“Well if I could've seen her Sebastian, but once again blind nitwit.” Ominis scoffs but seeing me in this state his eyes soften and makes his way towards me lightly putting a hand on my shoulder. “Come let’s go find her.” I stop in my tracks and look towards Ominis.
“You’re telling me to go after her? Wow Ominis I think we’ve spent too much time together, usually your the rational one.” I say with a slying smirk coming to my lips.
“Shut up, I just don’t wanna hear your pouting and whining again, that lasted for five years, I can’t do that again.” “No please go get her.” He pushes my shoulder. “There’s only one reason why she would be here, and you know it.” My eyes widen.
fig
Why of course. I look at Anne and Ominis giving them a small smile. “I’m not letting her go again, I’ll be back.” I apparate to figs grave looking to see a small figure hugging onto the stone, her under eyes looking red and puffy and she was definitely freezing. “Y/n.” I gasp out grabbing her small body carrying her bridal style before apparating back to my own cottage. It was small, but it was something to get by. I take her to my room laying her slowly down to the bed. I cover her up to keep her warm conjuring a heating spell to warm her up. She mumbles softly before her eyes slowly open up.
“Sebastian?”
Y/n
I feel warmth hug my body, mumbling softly about how good it feels. I blink my eyes open looking around my surroundings before my eyes landing on a certain brute. “Sebastian?” I ask raspy. That crying might’ve been the death of me.
“Y/n.” He places his hand on my cheek rubbing his thumb gently across it looking up and down my body probably to make sure I wasn’t hurt.
“Why am I here?” I look around the room about to sit myself up when he pushes me down gently.
“No you’re not getting up, you need to rest, it’s been a long day for you.” He moves his hand from my cheek. “I’m sorry I didn’t mean to push you today.” He looks brightly at me. “Now please get some rest.” He goes to walk out when I grab his hand before he leaves stopping him. He looks back at me confusion written across his face.
“Please don’t go.” I look up at him with a desperate look on my face, mostly begging him not to leave me alone after my uncontrollable crying on Figs gravestone. Sebastian kneels down on the side of the bed next to me with a worrisome look on my face.
"Do you still get those nightmares?" He asks softly his thumbing rubbing circles around the back of my hand in a comforting manner. I squeeze my eyes shut, breathing out a shaky breath. I look at him with tears forming into my eyes, how do I tell him I've been having nightmares every day for the past 10 years. How I do tell him all the dreams are about losing him and everyone else around me but especially him.
"All the time Sebastian, they never leave me, I'm scared." I hiccup. "I'm scared me just being here is going to hurt everyone I love and care about. I lost Fig, the only male role model in my life, someone I loved as a parental role. Merlin the fact, I dream about losing you especially. What if someone takes you away to torture me." I breath out. I let go of his hand to cover my face with mine, the tears streaming down my face. I wasn't emotionally ready to have all the thoughts in my head with him right now, otherwise I would be a bloody mess.
"Don't say anymore, I'll stay Y/n, I'll always stay." He leans foreword to kiss the top of my head leaving his lips a lot longer then I expected. I look up at him through my lashes the tears still streaming down my face. He wipes my tears away with his thumb looking at me with such a loving way, something I wasn't use to Sebastian doing.
"Sebastian...." His eyes never leave my face.
"Come on my love, I know you just wanna rest, and I promise I'll stay the whole time." He rolls into bed next to me spooning me, tightly bringing me to my chest as though I could never leave his grip. I trace his arm that was under my head.
"I'm sorry Sebastian." I mumble before drifting into a slumber.
I wake up from a dreamless sleep, I didn't dream once last night, not a happy dream nor a nightmare. I somehow felt peace, but I remember where I was. I remember all that happened the event before, the days coming back to me. I furrow my eyebrows not feeling the other body next to me, I sit up abruptly looking to my side to see Sebastian not there. I panic a bit, jumping out of the bed running into the main room.
"Sebastian!?" I yell, I look over to see him in the kitchen cooking, and I inhale deeply, as he turns his body around to look at me with wide eyes.
"What, what happened?" He rushes over to me grabbing onto my face scanning my body from head to toe. "Are you okay?" I sigh rubbing my arms in embarassment.
"I-I just thought something happened to you." I stammer looking down at the ground at my feet. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to frighten you." Sebastian moves closer to me lifting my head to look at him.
"Never apologize for something you didn't do." He whispers with a small smile planted on his face. "Now come, I made us breakfast and I want to take you somewhere." I cock my head to the side and beaming slightly at him.
"You cooked? Should I be scared?" I question giggling lightly as he brings me to the table pulling out my chair for me, I sit down as he pushes me in.
"Oh hush, living by myself have given me the chance to practice." He smirks bringing over some food to my plate. I glance up at him.
"So no girlfriend in the picture?" I ask sipping on the pumpkin juice he poured for me, he sits across from me shaking his head.
"No, too in love with someone else to be in a relationship." He states taking a bite of the food. I stop the cup to my lips freezing in place. He's in love with someone? I should've known all these years he would find someone that he would eventually love, but how I silly that I thought maybe that could change, it wouldn't matter anyways I was going to leave tomorrow anyways.
"Oh, I bet she's amazing." I whisper eating the food Sebastian set in front of me, he doesn't say another word but a smirk was planted on his smug little face. We finish our breakfast, and I stand up to do the dishes when he stops me.
"No, I've got this, why don't you change and get ready, the bathroom is right around the corner." He takes the plates from my hands, tucking the loose hair behind my ear. "I'm taking you somewhere special." I blush turning my head the opposite direction to make sure he doesn't catch it. I nod giving him a grin before walking away to the bathroom with my bag. I look around the bathroom, nothing so special to it until I caught a photo on the bathroom counter noticing it was a photo of Sebastian and I, it was one that moved to capture the moment and I remember the day we took it, us near the lake happy go lucky, nothing phasing us in that moment. I smile at the memory, I can't believe he had this here. I shake away the feeling that crept back into my head. I change into black pants, and knee high boots, with a baggy green sweater, hopefully to keep me from the cold, I use magic to fix my hair and makeup from the previous night before. I sigh softly looking at myself in the mirror looking at the scar that Ragnok caused, right across my eyebrow, all of those memories are now a scar, still there but slowly healing.
I walk out of the bathroom seeing Sebastian with a black button up with his Slytherin scarf wrapped around him, and his black pants. I observe more in this moment. He wasn't the same Sebastian, he held more confidence, he grew into his features fairly well, he was handsome, he was so so handsome, and so much taller. He was towering over me, and god how I wish I can call him mine.
"You ready?" He takes out his hand, and I gently grab it as he apparates us Merlin knows where. I look around us, grass surrounding us but there was an edge we were close to.
"Where are we?" I ask walking closer to the edge, Sebastian right near my heels, and that's when I saw it. Hogwarts. I gasp in the beauty, we were over looking the giant castle. It was beautiful but it brought back all the emotions.
"I remember when I first saw you, you walked into the sorting ceremony our fifth year, and I remember thinking that was the most gorgeous woman I have ever seen in my life." He mumbles playing with his fingers looking down at them. "Merlin's beard Y/n, you came into my life and it flipped, you helped me even though I was going through a path I know you didn't fully support but you did anyways, you stuck through me years after that, I know I hurt yo-"
"No Sebastian, I hurt you." I breath out the air I was holding onto hearing him say the things he did, I couldn't let him think I was this amazing person when I know I wasn't. "I have almost got you killed multiple times, because of my stupid ancient magic, because of stupid goblins, I would've died to help Anne but I didn't know how, I'm a coward." I turn away from the castle my arms holding onto me. "But it doesn't matter cause I'm leaving so I don't hurt anymore, I have to leave tomorrow Sebastian I just have too." Sebastian's eyes widen.
"No you don't get to leave me again!" He raises his voice slightly moving his way in front of me with sadden eyes. "You do not get to decide to come into my life and make me fall in love with you all over again, I mean Merlin's beard I've never stopped loving you, you left me and I left with you, my heart did, I've been in love with you since the moment you stepped into that great hall, the moment you came up to me in that bloody common room. You've never hurt me, you hurt me by walking away from this, from us, and I know I never told you I was in love with you but that last time I really was going to ask you to be mine forever." He reaches into his pocket and grabs a box opening it containing a emerald green ring that had his initials on the side of it. I widen my eyes at his confession, my heart pounding, warm butterfly's fluttering all over in my stomach.
"Sebastian, I left because I was scared of my own feelings for you, I knew you would follow me anywhere I went and that scared me, I was scared, I'm scared now, I've been in love with you since the day I met you, I would literally die for you, I've had nightmares everyday for ten years and every single one you're in, but every single one you're being taken away from me and that hurts me way more then the dreams I end up dying in, or being tortured because if something happened to you I would never forgive myself." I gasp out tears trickling out of my eyes, his eyes are boring into mine-he moves closer to me leaning foreword catching my lips onto his gripping the back of my hair gently, I bring him closer by grabbing his scarf as we passionately kiss he moves his hands down to my waist gripping onto them gently, we pull back to catch our breaths our foreheads pressed against each others.
"I've been waiting for that for ten years my love." He breaths out tucking the loose hair behind my ear his eyes searching for mine. "I'm so in love with you."
"And I with you Sebastian Sallow." He brings my forehead to his lips placing a chaste kiss on it, I wrap my arms around his waist his chin on the top of my head. I didn't want this moment to end, I didn't want to let him go, not now, not ever. He pulls back the ring box still placed in his hand.
"Y/n... I know we haven't dated, haven't even been with each others life for years, but all I think about is being with you and only you. I want you to have this ring as a sort of a hold until I can actually propose to you, cause I want you and only you." I giggle softly, the tears once again in my eyes, I only nod bringing my left hand out for him to place ring on that certain finger.
"I wish to one day be Mrs Sallow, Sebastian, I want you and only you." I whisper wiping my tears with my right hand as he slides the ring on my finger, it fitting perfectly on my finger. "I cannot believe this is happening." I breath out looking at the beautiful ring placed on my finger, smiling at the way I first arrived thinking that I would only want Sebastian to have this finger.
"Should we go to Ominis and Anne to tell them the good news? That you're here to stay." He smirks lightly.
"Oh Merlin their going to literally kill us for taking this damn long." I chuckle at the thought of Ominis telling us he told us so.
"Yes, but I cannot wait to hear Anne literally scream at the both of us for being idiots." I laugh placing a small kiss onto his lips. We later tell Anne and Ominis what happened in the day we were gone and we were both right Ominis telling us he told us so, and Anne calling us idiots. I knew this is who I wanted to be near, who I needed to be surrounded by. They were my home. Professor Fig would've been proud....

Slight smut Drabble/Practice.
This popped into my head and I had to write it. To be included in my fic I will be writing, so if you guys like this, then stay tuned.
They both pull out of you, both of their spend pooling on the white sheets out of both of your holes, you don't have the energy to care. You find the nearest pillow and pull it towards you, snuggling into it weakly. Your limbs feel like jello, your mind is muddled with arousal and the vicious orgasm still heavy on your brain. You vaguely feel both men climb out of bed and pull their slacks back on, their pricks still wet and glistening with your slick mixed with their seed on it. Ominis however grabs some tissues to clean himself up with, to which Sebastian eyes him peculiarly.
"I thought you didn't mind that?" Sebastian asks, tucking his cock back in with a zip paying no mind or care to the mess on the inside. Ominis is still swiping away your mixed fluids the best he can without his eyesight, feeling the wetness with his fingertips before tracing it with the tissue. He lets out a sigh before responding.
"It's not that I mind it being on me, I mind the mess it leaves on the clothes. It's hard enough to get out when it's damp, never mind when it dries." Ominis mutters, concentrating on his job.
Sebastian shrugs, but then again, Sebastian has always been the more obscene one out of the two of them. While Ominis frets over his clothes, Sebastian buttons up his dress shirt before grabbing more tissues and walking over to where you were almost falling asleep near the edge of the bed. He wipes away the mess, taking meticulous care to clean you up before he walks to the adjoined bathroom and comes back out with a wet rag to finish cleaning you up properly before placing a kiss on your forehead. He offers Ominis the wet towel after he's done using it on you, to which the other is grateful. Ominis finally is finished with his task and buttons himself up before discarding the rag in the dirty clothes bin and pulling on his shirt. Ominis walks over to the other side of you where your head is and sits next to it, stroking his long fingers through your hair. You let out a contented sigh not wanting them to go, even though they have to. Both men give you lingering kisses, reluctant to go. Ominis reaches over and feels for one of the plush blankets and pulls it over you, tucking you in before stealing another kiss.
"We'll try to be back as soon as we can escape my mother's grasp." Ominis says, giving your hair another pass over for good measure. Sebastian pulls on his suit jacket and re ties his tie. Ominis does the same and it's not long until you hear the sound of their dress shoes clicking downstairs and out the front door.

Workaholic Pt.1
Fandom: Stardew Valley
Sabastian x reader
'I have 3 hours to get down 2 more levels' Your hurried footsteps echoed through the cavern. The heavy thuds ricochet against the damp cave walls and water droplets mixed with the dirt and rock below, making a crunchy and muddy mess of your shoes.
Rocks crumbled under your pickaxe, and overgrown vines were shredded by your scythe. The squeaks of bats and the indescribable sounds of slimes closed in.
Dozens of rocks lay in ruin; precious gems forgotten in corners that seemed to momentarily escape your concentration. The last rock in this damp hell yields nothing. Not a hidden ladder-nor salvageable stone - just ache.
'Damn, a rock crab' the creature scuttled toward you with its tough skinned limbs. The creature-in one swift movement-cut into the flesh of your leg. Blood began to escape the wound.
'No, I'm almost there.' Thirty minutes left; one level until another elevator shaft appears. The energy in your body began to drain, and the rock crab fell lifeless due to your heavy sword.
The bat to your left dove to your head but met your sword. It too fell limp. The slime slowly bounced over to you. You stepped towards the bat's corpse to collect it's wings but the ground below crumbled.
You mentally cursed until a familiar 'ding' filled the cavern. A beautiful diamond-adorned rock twinkled in the dim light of your glowing ring.
Your stopwatch stopped clicking, the silence wad deafening. 12:00 AM. Your bones felt too heavy for you to carry.
The ground behind you crumbled and a growl was heard. Your heart dropped. You hobbled over to the elevator, blood painting the void colored ground beneath you.
A bottle on your hip clanked against a cherry bomb, setting a beeping timer.
You threw the small red explosive behind you and chugged the liquid in the pale red-well used-bottle. The taste was earthy and opulent, spicy and somewhat fruity. The liquid heavily coated your throat and the previous gash on your leg sealed in a white light.
You entered the elevator feeling like time paused as the dust and mud on your body was lifted by the effects of the life elixir. You heard a faint explosion as the elevator traveled upward.
12:10 AM. You ran through the suffocating darkness back to your small cabin. The smell of the mountains calming your nerves.
12:50 AM. You stood outside the door, with the energy from the elixir quickly fading. Taking a deep breath you entered the cabin.
A fire was lit to warm the house. You stumbled past the TV that played a screen over encumbered by static and white noise-glancing for a moment but loosing interest. You dropped your bag of heavy rocks and gems and tools by the bedside. Dust clouded the floor.
You maneuvered yourself under the blankets and glanced over at Sebastian. He cuddled up to your cat, Soup. He stirred in his sleep.
"Hmmn... Babe? It's late." He grumbled.
"I know. I was only in the mines a bit, I stayed in the cleared areas." You said, lying through your teeth. He eyed you.
"See? Not a scratch." Your eyes grew heavy. He rolled over to face you. You cuddled him and closed your eyes.
"You smell like mushrooms..." He said, a tinge of sadness.
"I know." You replied, heart sinking.
"You got hurt again. Didn't you?" He asked.
Your eyed burned. You held back the lump in your throat.
"I'm fine." You tried not to let your voice waver.
"That's not what I asked." He gripped the back of your shirt.
"I know." You said pulling him closer.
Soup hopped off the bed and lay in front of the fireplace.
"I love you."
"I'm sorry."
You both spoke in sync. He looked at your closed eyes that leaked tears. He examined the scrunched expression and how your lips pressed into a thin line. He wasn't mad. He held your face gently and leaned in to kiss you.
"I love you too." You said to him, before he could pepper kisses to your face like he usually does. His heart felt heavy. You both fell asleep after that.

Bride of The Crow Demon: Yandere Sebastian X Ceil's Older Sister Reader
[Hello My Sexy Muffins, welcome back to another chapter, in this chapter we have Sebastian from Black Butler! So please do enjoy!]
(Disclaimer: Sebastian though Morally bankrupt is NOT yandere in canon. This is just for fun and not to be taken seriously at all. Simping for fictional characters and fictional yanderes is fine as long as you are not illegal or gross about it. Also please remember to separate fiction from reality, yanderes are not ideal partners to have in real life. Though if you want your partner to be like this, you do your muffin, just please be safe.)
(ENJOY!)
-Base Yandere Headcanons With Sebastian X Ceil's Older Sister-
.Sebastian is beyond morally bankrupt and this makes him one of the most ruthless and sadistic yanderes.
.He shows no mercy to ANYONE in the way of his darling.
.He would be solely focused and making you his darling as his darling you would have your fate sealed after meeting him.
.By chance he had met you for you are Ceil's older sister.
.You had been engaged to a man and were visiting your little brother.
.Sebastian had never seen such a beauty as yourself before, you are a vision of elegance and beauty and his heart was captured.
. Sebastian knows that you were close with Ceil so would do everything to earn the young lord's favor to have you.
.with you he would be very likely to give you plenty of attention and treats.
.not to mention watch you while you sleep, as he is creepily in the shadows... bro stop creeping.
.He adores you beyond anyone or anything else.
.Dealing with rivals by ruthlessly ending their lives and taking great pleasure in this.
.If anyone was to go after you to harm you they would be tortured beyond belief.
.He wants you, body, mind, and soul.
.As his wife and life mate.
.He plans to make you a demon like him, but first, he would have to deal with your brother.
.He is even willing to give up your brother's soul to have you.
.You to him are far more precious than any soul.
.He would confess to you with yandere manipulation.
.Telling you that he is a demon and that he has a contract for your brother's soul.
.There is one way you can fix this and that is to give yourself to him.
.You do it and become his, he made sure you would agree and you became the bride of the crow demon.
-Now the scenario-
To Sebastian, you were a stunning vision of beauty. You are the young Phantomhive lady. (Your Name) Phantomhive. He had met you when you were visited your brother from the estate. you had been betrothed to a lord and wish to see your brother. Sebastian was jealous of this Lord. So he did what any other demon would do.
He killed your fiance and burned down your estate. This way you were forced to stay with your brother and Sebastian. Sebastian took this time to spoil and court you.
"Good Morning Milady!" Sebastian says opening your curtains as you sit up and yawn.
It had been a year since the loss of your late Fiance and you mostly moved on.
"Good morning Sebastian." You tell him back.
"For breakfast we are having your favorite and the morning tea is an earl grey." He tells you pouring you a cup.
You nodded. "Thank you." You thanked him and drank your tea as he gave you the news of the day.
Ceil would be in his office for his studies and Sebastian and you would be in the foyer to practice your dance.
"Now let's get your dress milady." He says and helps you get dressed, he takes it slow.
He could barely contain himself as he helps dress you.
"Sebastian?" You ask him.
"Yes?" He asks back.
"When will my brother finally settle on a suitor for me, I do not wish to take up his home more than needed." You explain to him.
"Ah, I see." He says as he did not like the idea of you having a new suitor. "We shall see today, shall we not."
He has to move up his plan sooner, now he wish he had more time to court you and make you his. He brought you down for breakfast. Standing close to you to keep his eye on you.
Once that was done it was time to start dance lessons. "May I have this dance?"  He asks you holding out his hand."
You smile and take it. "You may."
He cups your hip and takes your hand. "(Your Name)." He says to you. "I must confess something, you see."
He looks down into your eyes and his eyes flash to that of a demon. You freeze, frozen in fear.
"I have a contract with your brother for his very soul." He tells you. "There is a way that I will not take his soul. If you promise to be mine and mine alone." He tells you.
Your eyes are wide and you are shaking in fear. You would do anything to protect your brother, the fire, the losing your family. He was all you had left! "I-I will be yours." You tell him and he leans down sealing the deal and turning your right eye into a new contract with him.
You were now his, his bride, the bride of the crow demon.
[YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS another chapter done, I hope you all enjoyed and stay sexy all of my sexy muffins!]

Mutual Feelings
OminisXPoppy
SebastianXReader
GarrethXMC
You’d grown up with Ominis and the Sallow twins, and it was no secret to anyone but Ominis that you’d always had feelings for him. Now in your seventh year at Hogwarts, you had been waiting patiently for him to finally get a grip and ask you the the Yule ball. Much to your dismay, however, you overheard in the courtyard, Poppy beaming about how Ominis had asked her. So now you find yourself having a Sebastian sized tantrum in the Undercroft. Broken boxes lying about, wisps of smoke from your fiery magic still swirling, you on your knees in the middle of it all, silently crying now. Having exhausted yourself, you could do nothing but listen as the door opened, and brace yourself for whichever of the slytherin boys it was about to be, questioning you about the state they’ve found you in. “What’s all this about?” You sighed, almost in relief, at Sebastian’s voice. “Just sorting some things out.” You answered flatly. You turned to look at him, noticing the tears welling up in his eyes. “And what’s all that about?” You didn’t want to make light of his feelings, but didn’t want to sound too serious, as he hadn’t with you. “I was actually coming here to, well, sort through some things myself.” Without answering him, you got up and moved to the side of the room. Once settled again against a wall, you gestured towards some boxes you hadn’t made your way to yet, but he didn’t move. After what felt like ages of silence, he crosses the room to sit by you. “She’s chose Weasley.” Your heart hurt for him, he’d only met MC in fifth year but they’d been through so much together and he would have done anything for her. “Did she tell you why?” You asked quietly, deciding to push for more. It might be good for him to talk to someone about it. Merlin knows you’d have felt better if you’d sought out someone to talk to rather than waste all your energy throwing your fit in a dungeon. “Says Weasley is more stable. She told me she’s needed to move on for quite some time but hasn’t been able to because she didn’t want to feel like she was abandoning. She said she was worried I would spiral back into the dark arts without her. Can you believe that?” He was starting to raise his voice. “I didn’t always need her! She didn’t have to do anything for me! No one forced her hand to be involved!” He stood, pacing as he went on. “I was in a bad place, I was desperate for my sister back, and she spoke to me as if I became a daily chore for her! I’m not that person anymore, (Y/N)! I’ve grown, I’m healing, I’ve not used an unforgivable curse since then.” You were hanging onto every word he said, his sorrow mixing with your own. “Sebastian-“ “I loved her, but I was nothing more than another duty for her.” You stood and placed a hand on his shoulder, stopping his pacing. He looked at you, tears staining his cheeks, and your train of thought completely derailed. Unsure of what to say, unsure if anything you did say would even help, you wrapped your arms around his waist. He returned the hug and rested his chin on top of your head. “I’m so sorry.” You whispered into his chest. He let out a heavy sigh and took a few deep breaths before saying anything more. He released you from the hug, looking into your eyes, “Well I suppose it’s your turn. You destroyed half the Undercroft, it better be good.” You can tell he was trying to lighten the mood, and you didn’t want to cause any more tension, so you came back with a simple, “we have mutual feelings.”
A/N this is my first time writing ;-; I like Ominis with poppy and MC deserves time to heal from trauma too

~June 1887~
Running.
That's all you could do. The cold wet feeling of blood under your feet was the only thing telling you that this was real. Not the heat, nor the sweat on your skin could convince you that this was not a dream. The only thing you could hear was the beating of your own heart because it was drumming in your ears. You could've sworn there was supposed to be light here but you could barely see now. You burst through a door and the cold night air of London hit you like a brick. Immediately gripping your shoulders, you hid in a corner somewhere behind some barrels. Looking up and blinking a couple of times trying to focus you saw the building was on fire. You were too perplexed to remember if it was on fire while you were inside. You were exhausted, it felt like you were running for miles. Wiping sweat from your face, you drew back your hand with blood on it. It was splashed everywhere on your body.
This was real, you killed over a dozen men in there that wasn't what shocked you, you're an assassin you've assassinated people before but never like that. It was bloody, and you don't recall a thing except that you killed them by simply losing control of yourself, that's what shocked you.
Out of the flaming building walked a boy and a tall man both clean and unscathed. You couldn't see them clearly; only the glint of a blue diamond ring on the boy's thumb was significant. Blood boiled underneath your skin as an adrenaline rush hit your veins. Swiftly stepping towards them the tall man faced where you were and fear took over your sudden desire to kill them. You couldn't see his face properly and retreated back into your corner like a shadow. He advanced towards your hiding spot and you curled into a ball closing your eyes.
"Ah so soft~"
You opened one eye peeking at the man, the smoke coming from the building was starting to obscure your vision but from the sound of purring he had picked up a cat.
"Sebastian put the bloody cat down and let's go," you heard a sigh from the man and a troubled 'Yes, my Lord'. You held your breath so you wouldn't cough from the smoke and alert them to your presence. The cat made its way over to you and curled up next to you, not wanting it to suffocate along with you, you picked it up and were sickened by the fact you could feel its ribs, not a nice feeling. Blinking tears out of your eyes you walked in the direction of the two strangers. You sighed, they were nowhere to be found, far enough to breathe properly you put the cat down which found your ankles the ideal place to curl up against. You knelt down on the empty London street and petted the cat, it purred and looked at you. Wine coloured eyes, odd colour for a cat or for any eye for that matter. Nevertheless, it was charming.
~
About a week after escaping your captors you were hellbent on finding the boy and the tall man to dispose of them. If they weren't looking for a sex slave then what else would they be doing there, you guessed they were just fortunate to come out alive. Walking the streets of London was no easy task for a woman who wasn't of noble status. Every drunkard thought you were a prostitute and every store owner thought you were a thief. Women hid behind their fans gossiping about your wear, no corset and a cloak with a hood and plain boots. You were self-conscious some days but on days that you're concentrated petty things like that don't distract you until after. Looking for that boy and man wasn't going to be easy. All you had was the name Sebastian and the knowledge of a blue diamond ring on the boys' finger.
You soon found yourself at an old acquaintance of yours. The words 'Undertaker' stared at you from above the door. Opening the door you walked inside ready to sit on your special coffin you both made as a joke, "Undertaker I need to ask you some- " you stopped short there was an adolescent boy sitting inside already with a beaker of tea, his hat and his walking stick sat next to him and standing behind him was a man clad in black, the material hugging him perfectly and his hair drawn perfectly to fit his face. If there was ever such thing as a perfect-looking human, he'd fit the description. Perfectly. To put the cherry on top, his eyes were the colour of red wine, just like the cat that followed you. Breathtaking.
"Oh, I see you're busy," your voice was caught in your throat, and it came out squeaky and low. The boy turned around and stared at you; an eyepatch concealed his right eye and his left blue eye stared at you, his face was cold and unmoving. Quite strange for a young boy to be here, he couldn't be more than twelve or thirteen.
"Y/n dearie, come here there's someone I'd like you to meet." A broad grin was plastered on the Undertaker's face. You inched in a little on the other side of the boy and this man, something caught your eye. The dancing flame of a candle reflected off a ring on the boy's thumb, a blue diamond ring was visible, just like the one that was on the boy you saw come out of the burning building.
"This here is the Earl of Phantomhive, common customer. I'm surprised you haven't run into him on your visits here." Your jaw was locked tight, and all you could bring yourself to do was nod and hum in response. "And this is his butler, Sebastian."
Sebastian gave you a closed eye smile that irked you a little. That confirmed it; it was them, you came looking for information as to whether or not Undertaker could tell you about them and here they are, practically gift wrapped. "Earl this is Y/n a dear friend of mine, she may come off cold at first but she's just shy, think nothing of it." The earl looked at you and declined his head curtly before returning his gaze to the Undertaker.
"Well Undertaker I guess we're done here, you have a guest it seems. Sebastian." The butler started to button the boys' coat and put his hat on his head and held his master's walking stick waiting for him to take it. They walked out of the parlour leaving you with the Undertaker.
"Now dearie what is it you want, I saw how you looked at the earl I wouldn't advise getting mixed up with him," the Undertaker's sing-song voice always put you in what passed as a good mood. "What do you know about that boy?" He hummed in response. "You know my price as well as anyone." You weren't in the least bit funny, at least on purpose. It was always hard getting information from him and having been locked up with disgusting nobility who sold to others in need of a young mistress did not improve your sense of humour.
"Undertaker..."
He gave you one of his cookies to nibble on while you two talked. "Nuh-uh dearie, you owe me quite a lot of jokes already and information on that boy requires at least two jokes." There was no getting past him so you decided to follow them.
"Come back soon dearie you've been gone for far too long," he waved you goodbye. You heard the jingle of the door as you closed it and saw the butler Sebastian on top a carriage driving and decided to follow. A charming manor came into view as you travelled a bit outside of London. Certain there was more than one servant in such a vast manor; you kept your distance and stayed in the trees. When night approaches you'll strike.
~
You wanted to make sure everyone was asleep which is why you waited for night, you crept into the manor which was pitch black except for the floor by the windows, those spots were bathed in moonlight. Not even two steps in and you felt a cold blade on your throat.
"So you found us at last, well done." The butler stood behind with some sort of small blade at your throat. "Quite rude to come unannounced and at this hour Miss Y/n." Your heart rate increased, you didn't expect to be caught so easily, his arm made its way around your waist pulling you into his chest. "Cat got your tongue?" You gasped and held in your stomach, the same feeling of fear washed over you as it did when you thought he saw you last week. "I would normally leave things like this till the morning," he sighed in frustration, "however I don't think my master would like me keeping a stranger in the manor while he slept."
He let you go and started walking and put what appeared to be silverware, dinner knives specifically, into his tailcoat. You started walking after him sometimes running to catch up with his long strides. You looked out the windows as you walked behind him thinking you could probably escape through one of them.
"It would be fruitless to try to run away, I don't advise it," the glint of the knives he slowly started pulling out warned you not to make a break for it.
You scoffed, it was like he could read your mind. "Do you always greet people with cutlery?" He looked back with a closed eye smile, "Only uninvited guests. Wait here." He opened a door leading to an office-like room and let you in. You sat in an armchair waiting for his master which you knew was the boy from earlier, Earl Phantomhive was it? There were books on either side of the room, you got up to go inspect them. 'A Study in Scarlet' was the first book to catch your eye, you stroked the spine of the book when the door opened. The boy came in clearly annoyed that he was woken up for this, his blue eye pierced your flesh as he looked at you. "Is it your policy to interfere with other people's things after you invade their homes?"
You sniggered, "Only those who put me in their offices," he was not delighted with your answer as he angrily sat down behind his desk and had Sebastian bring you over to stand in front of him. "Now what brought you over here?"
"A more pertinent question is, why were you at a sex trafficking business, surely a small boy, no, a child like you has no need for a mistress just yet," his eyebrow twitched in anger. "You are in no position to be asking me such questions, you are breaking into my estate and I want to know why." Instead of saying to kill them which was your intention, you started to doubt that he was there for that reason. "To ask you what were you doing there, I have to know, I have to remember what happened,". He looked at you for a good minute or two, "As you already know they were sex trafficking women I was called in to simply dispose of them, how you came to know that I was there and what was going on should be my question." The earl was calmer now that you were, "I was one of the girls locked up there, I happened to see you after disposing of some of them myself and I thought you were a buyer- "
"And you came to dispose of me?" he looked bored now as if he were used to this. "Basically," you bit your lip because you started feeling shy again, the fact that you assumed wrong did not help. He sighed and looked at his butler, "Now we know what happened in the other room," he shook his head. "If you had asked the Undertaker I'm sure you could've figured this out without going to such lengths." Looking down you played with your fingers, "I'm not good with making people laugh." Clouds passed over dimming the room a little bit. "Well, I'm certain if you tell him this story the next time you visit him he'll give you what you want." he cracked his knuckles and stretched, yawning he called Sebastian to escort you out and put him back to bed.
"Young master if I may, maybe you could offer her a position, having a maid that could do something besides breaking things would be a relief." Sebastian came and stood behind you, the boy looked you up and down. "Maybe having another assassin as a maid would do well."
"Well Miss Y/n? Do you accept working here?" practically disregarding the butler's question you eyed the child sitting in front of you. "How in the hell did you know I was an assassin?" he smirked at the question as if it should've been obvious. "Do you really think that I wouldn't know about someone following me to my own home and that I wouldn't want to find information about them, remember you are not the only one who knows the Undertaker." Too shocked for words and simply because he was so clever, you wouldn't mind working for him. "Then I accept, though I don't know much about being a maid."
"No experience required. We will provide you wage for your services, and you will have days off and we will have to work on your elocution, you work for an Earl now. If you're anything like our other maid damages will come out of your pay," all the butler gave was a closed eye smile that irked you for some odd reason. "Well then that's settled, Sebastian show her to her room. Welcome to the Phantomhive Manor Miss Y/n."
Notes:
Black Butler and its characters belong to Yana Toboso, you belong to yourself. The ideas in this story are mine. If you see it anywhere else besides here on Quotev from @TitaniaAyuzawa and on Wattpad from @Sakura1408xdxd please report. :) Enjoy
Chapter 2: His Butler, Able
Notes:
(See the end of the chapter for notes.)
~September 1887~
It's been about three months since that fateful day, your life at the Phantomhive manor has not been so easy as you thought it would. Getting up early is a pain, so is some of the tedious work you have to do due to the incompetence of certain servants. The young master was not cruel, at least to his servants, his butler, however, is a different story. Devilishly witty and easily angered, the two of you locked horns now and then if you weren't scolding the other servants Mey-rin, Finny, and Baldroy. Unlike them you got your work done without question, maybe a sarcastic remark towards Sebastian but he's trying to teach you how to talk to superiors which you still seem to have a problem with.
The sun has barely risen when a knock came from the other side of your door. Groaning loud enough to let the person know you'd rather stay in you rolled over and put your head under your pillow.
"Y/n get up!!" Mey-rin nearly yelled. You whined through your pillow like a dry sob. "You know how Sebastian gets when you're up late. Come on!"
"Alright, alright I'm coming." Anything not to deal with that man. Sighing into your pillow you heard her footsteps recede as you groaned again and began to get ready. Tying your apron on you rubbed the back of your neck and stretched. Cracking almost every bone in your back woke you up, and you begrudgingly went upstairs to the kitchen to receive your orders from Sebastian.
~
"Mey-rin, the bedding, Bard you are to see to lunch preparations, Finny, weed the garden. I will awake the young master in two hours for his breakfast. I expect your chores to be done at least more than halfway. And here you are finally Y/n, better timing than usual, you are to see to the library." There stood Sebastian Michaelis, the butler clad in black. All butlers normally wear black but nothing seemed to fit him more perfect than black as if the colour was made for him. His crimson eyes bore into your e/c waiting for a response. Your lack of respect to authority forces him to make you practice perfect answers at all times. Not wanting to deal with him today you replied with a yes sir and turned on your heels quickly to start your first set of chores.
The library, you were in love with it. So many books to pore over on your days off and spare time. Easily distracted in this room you shook off the thought of grabbing a book and dropping to the ground. You began dusting shelves, wiping tables, fluffing pillows, and scrubbing the floor. Never in your dizziest daydreams did you ever think you'd be scrubbing floors. You finished your work lightly sweating and proceeded to the dining hall to greet the young master as he had his breakfast. He sat there with darts and threw one at Finnian as you entered the room.
"Ow ow ow owwww! What'd you do that for master?" He looked at him with puppy dog eyes that would make anyone melt. This did not unnerve the young boy, "nothing, I don't need to justify my actions." The poor blonde boy looked at him confused. You silently laughed as you greeted the young lord, "Good morning sir," you curtsied a little tipping your head down slightly. He nodded as a way of acknowledging you and you made your way over to Finny to remove the dart from the back of his head.
The doors burst open and you rolled your eyes while facing the wall, you know all too well who it was. "Mey-rin did you do the bedding?" The red-headed maid began to stutter. "Baldroy weren't you supposed to be seeing to the lunch preparations?" Bard simply scratched his head. "Finny did you finish weeding the garden?" "Well- I- um.." Not waiting for a response, he turned to you. "Y/n, I trust you finished the library?" You turned to him and answered yes quickly and more sharply than you intended. He raised an eyebrow and you widened your eyes slightly for a second but stayed silent. "You will have the billiards room to attend to next." You tipped your head slightly without breaking eye contact. "Tanaka..." He looked back at the little elderly man. "Well, I suppose you're fine as you are. Now the rest of you this is no time to be idle. So get to work!"
The trio ran off to their appointed duties. "Yes sir!" yelled Mey-rin. "Simply hopeless." You sniggered slightly and walked off towards the billiards room. It was smaller compared to the library so you were done in a shorter amount of time. Making your way to the kitchen for your lunch you noticed the servants cowering under Sebastian and you smelled burnt beef and smoke coming from the kitchen. We may save this night yet was all you heard him say before he turned towards you smiling. That closed eye smile, you knew something was up and he needed you to do something. You sort of wanted to go smack Bard for whatever he did to land you with tedious work. "Ah there you are, your assistance is needed. At least you aren't like those three so this should be easy for you. I've instructed Finny to get gravel, we are transforming the garden to a Japanese style stone garden for the young lord and his guest to have their dinner. I need you to take the rake and smooth out the gravel in a spiral manner. Can you do that?"
"I suppose so sir." You smirked at him slightly irked. You were not the most artistic person but you tried your best to arrange the garden nicely. Sebastian was satisfied with your work and that was all that mattered. Finally, the guest arrived. All of the servants were outside to greet him. You all bowed and greeted him and he complimented the garden which made you feel a jolt of happiness. Sebastian winked at you while escorting the guest inside. You tensed up and blinked a couple of times before shaking it off. Mey-rin pulled you inside to have what was dinner for you servants. You all made your way outside to the garden to watch Sebastian and Mey-rin serve the young master and his guest. Sitting in the bushes squished between Bard and Finny you smacked Bard on the head. "Hey, what was that for doll?" he rubbed his head. "Stop using firearms to cook! How many times must I tell you!" "Force of habit ya know." You two continued chattering until Finny shushed you guys to watch Mey-rin. Horrifying enough she spilt the wine all over the tablecloth. In a split second, Sebastian ripped the tablecloth from the table without disturbing a thing. You looked in awe and questioned how it was humanly possible. There was just no way, not even the best institutes in Chiswick produce servants that can do that. Finny and Bard dragged Mey-rin away and Sebastian snapped his fingers at you when you grabbed the wine from her indicating you stay. You stood there for what seemed forever while they ate.
~
"Mey-rin, learn to be more careful." You giggled at the flustered maid. "It's just Sebastian and the way he looked at meee. I couldn't stand it. That is one handsome specimen that is Y/n" she blushed. "Ahh, I'm such a mess." She swung the bucket around until it popped off. "Mey- the bucket." You gaped at her and began to laugh. "Y/n stop laughing and help." She desperately looked for the part that flew off. You had other things to do like finish clearing the table. By the time you were done, you came back inside to see the guest on the floor with his leg twisted. He was yelling in obvious pain. Running for Sebastian you accidentally bumped into his chest and he instantly caught you. Panting, you told him of the guest by the main staircase. "I know already don't worry." He spoke softly and that's when you noticed how close you both were. He carefully tucked a strand of your h/c hair behind your ears and you felt your cheeks grow warm. "You should really tie your hair up properly. Gives me the opportunity to do that," he gave his infamous closed eye smile and removed his hand from the small of your back and walked away. "Oh, and a job well done today."
~
Carefully untying the strings of your apron and letting down your h/l hair you took a steaming hot bath. Sitting in the tub letting your muscles relax, you thought of your day. You thought of Sebastian, how close he held you, staring at you and fixing your hair. Sinking further into the tub you hugged yourself as you started to get a single butterfly in your stomach which made you anxiously curl up even more. The water becoming cold brought you back to reality and you hurriedly stepped out of the tub and dried off. Dropping yourself in your bed, you fell asleep almost immediately.

Chapter Text
"RATSSSS!!!"
"Keep it down we have guests in the house," you hissed at Finny. The four of you, along with Tanaka, were running through the halls. Rats were becoming a huge problem in London, both vermin and people. A huge problem for the young master, you knew of his work as the Queen's Guard Dog and you know he was looking for someone who was a rat.
"I GOT IT!" Finny aimed a statue at the rat but nearly missed you, Bard, and Mey-rin by an inch. "Finny what part of 'keep it down' do you not get?" Finny gave a nervous chuckle and scratched the back of his head. "Oh sorry Y/n, I guess I got too excited haha.." Bard snapped at him, "What are you laughing for?! Are you trying to kill us too you idiot??" he yelled this making you sigh. "Why do I bother?" you muttered.
Sebastian came to get you to introduce you to the young lord's aunt Madame Red, an associate of his, Mr. Lau and his sister-in-law Miss Ran-Mao who seemed to take a liking to you, last of all Madame Red's butler, Grell Sutcliffe who was quite accident-prone. "So this is your new maid Ciel, she's a pretty little thing isn't she Grell?" Madame Red fawned over you like a newborn baby. Grell stuttered out a timid "Yes ma'am" while a blush ran across his cheeks. You curtsied and thanked her for her compliment although it made you feel awkward, you never really received compliments. Sebastian poured tea for the guests while Madame Red had Grell study how Sebastian went about his duty. "Just look at him, his physique. You should quit this job and come work for me in the city." She started groping Sebastian's ass and blushing. You almost couldn't hold your laughter when he was frozen in shock. "Ahem, Madame Red", the young master obviously did not tolerate tomfoolery from anyone.
"Where do you get such perfect servants darling nephew? Really share your secret." Pretty soon Madame Red and Mr. Lau started to fight over the young lord. Walking out the drawing-room with you and Sebastian at his side he looked distraught as if he were socially drained. The three idiots ran for another rat that scurried past you all. "Sebastian I'll have my tea in my study. I've got to get away from all this" he groaned.
"Sir?" Sebastian looked at the master with a concerned look on his face. He instructed you to get the refreshments and bring it up to the young master's study. Inclining your head ever so slightly you hurried with the refreshments for the young lord for he looked as stressed as ever. Knocking on the door there came no answer, you heard a bit of a scuffle and decided to open the door. About two or three men had him unconscious and was carrying him off. You immediately pulled out a thin dagger that you had in the hilt of your garter belt. Too quick for you, one of them covered your nose and mouth with chloroform and darkness took you.
~
Your surroundings were different, it was sweaty and smelled like smoke from cigars. Now, this is what you were used to, not a manor, a sense of calmness came over you. It's quite sensual in a way, very intimate for you. Not hearing any yelling, or chatter in the room you felt it safe to open your eyes slowly. It was vacant except for the small figure of your master, bruised and battered, you almost forgot about him. Angered, you got to work trying to free yourself when people started filling up the room. Shutting your eyes quickly you noticed your effects were missing, hoping they didn't fondle anything seeing as everything is tucked by your garter belt which is under your uniform, you heard the voice of Azzurro Vanel, he was a guest at the manor earlier.
'He must be the rat', you thought as you managed to break through your bonds. It wasn't exceedingly hard, their knotwork was sloppy and loose. You had to wait for the right moment, you felt the young master stir beside you signalling he was coming to. It was now or never, you jumped up surprising the five men who were in the room including Vanel, they brandished their guns but that did not faze you. A phone began to ring loudly startling all but you, you seized this opportunity to disarm the closest one to you, dropped down in front of the young lord to shield his body from possible ricocheting bullets, who you did not notice was awake and shot all of them down. Azzurro was the only one not shot, you wanted him to beg for release while you killed him. Sebastian's voice came through the phone and he fell silent. "Hello? Is anyone there?"
"Woof."
You jerked your head around when you heard that come from the young master to see his blue eye go from cold and unwavering to wide and concerned to nothing. You were hit, slowly falling out of consciousness you felt Azzuro grab your hair forcing your head up, "Did you think I wouldn't have a few extra guys hidden away just in case something like this happened little girl?" He laughed and released his grip on your hair you felt something hard come into contact with the side of your head and you completely passed out.
~
Waking up in someone's arms is a different feeling for you, a hard chest and the warm sun hitting your exposed side. You moved around groaning, it felt so right, that is until you turned around to see who was carrying you. "AH! Sebastian." your body tensed up and ached as if you were hit by a carriage.
"Y/n, you're awake. That was quite a thrashing you received while you were unconscious" you looked up to his closed eye smile and flicked his cheek. "I knew that smile was always fake." 'That's what happened. I felt funny while unconscious, like the room got cold or something. Bastards nearly induced a coma.' you thought to yourself. He looked at you with puppy dog eyes, "Me? Fake? Surely I don't know what you're talking about." You got a chill and shivered only to be met by excruciating pain. Grasping your upper arm you felt as if it was hurt badly. "Please do calm down, your injuries are slightly extensive. We're almost home."
You could see the young master walking beside you, he glanced at you and cleared his throat, "After Sebastian has seen to your injuries there is something I'd like to discuss. I'd rather do it tonight so you can think on it."
"Yes my lord." You gave Sebastian your own closed eye smile for using one of his favourite lines. Reaching the manor in a short time you were brought in through the front door and was taken to your room. He placed you on your bed and went to draw you a bath. "You can take care of my injuries after I take a bath Sebastian, not during." you joked. "Why on earth would I want to take care of you with your clothes on?" he smirked and looked at you. "Don't you dare go in there while I take a bath."
"I shall tend to the young master while you clean up yourself. I'll be here most likely when you're done." He left your room while you grabbed your things with care and headed to the bath. Sinking into the steaming hot water you soaped your skin and washed your hair. You looked up and down at your bruises in the mirror, already not liking your body. You moved away and went back to your room with a towel wrapped around your head and body. Stupid move really, you forgot Sebastian said he would be there when you got back. Quickly peeking in the room to see he wasn't there you dashed as quickly as your damaged body would allow you and found your nightgown. Throwing it on you unwrapped your hair and attempted to dry it with the towel. You heard a knock at the door and told them to come in.
"Ah done before I got here, very good. Go sit on the bed it'll be easier." Easing yourself on the bed with your head towel around your shoulders. He took your arm and wrapped it with a splint to keep it levelled, the bone wasn't broken but keeping it levelled would reduce the pain. "I'll need to bandage your thigh. You can't possibly do it yourself with your arm like that." You maintained your composure but the idea of someone having to go under your night clothes even just to bandage you disturbed you slightly. You didn't like anyone seeing your body much less touching it, however, your face couldn't conceal the fact that you weren't comfortable and of course Sebastian noticed. "You're uncomfortable? This is unexpected from you." You shifted uncomfortably in your bed. "It happens," you nervously chuckled removing the towel due to you becoming flustered and warm. "All done" he gave his closed eye smile to you. The small "conversation" you had distracted you from the fact that he was binding your leg.
"Sebastian."
"Yes?"
"Move your hand.'' He lifted your leg higher and smirked his cheek rubbed against your inner thigh as he looked up at you. "Se-", you started but you heard yet another knock at the door. You stared daggers at Sebastian who released your leg and went to open the door. "My lord," you said as you started to get up.
"No, no need to stand Y/n." You nodded and eased back into the bed. "Thank you for today, I have a favour to ask, you can decline the part although I'd rather you not."
"What is it sir?"
There was hesitation in his eyes and voice like he was worried you'd say no. "Will you be willing to assist me with cases for Her Majesty? Your pay will be higher than it is now."

Chapter 4: His Butler, Omnipotent
Notes:
(See the end of the chapter for notes.)
Chapter Text
The young master had given you quite a lot to think about. Aiding him on cases offered no potential benefit to you except for extra pay which you saw no need for in the first place, it's not like you're paying rent to sleep there. Your leg was healed, not so much your arm, it still hurt but not to the point of needing to level it. Sebastian refused to allow you to bring the tea in today, instead, he had Grell do it. Madame Red wanted Sebastian to properly train him, you thought someone couldn't be more incompetent than your coworkers together.
"AHHHHH!!"
Oh, how wrong could you be.
Grell had somehow managed to wheel himself into the dining room on top a tea cart crashing into Finny spilling hot tea all over him. Finny pulled the front of his shirt away from his chest. "Hot! HOT!" his eyes brimmed with tears. Grell crawled towards Finny apologizing for his accident, looking around he grabbed a napkin and pulled the whole tablecloth off along with the masters' breakfast. Breakfast was... essentially ruined.
"Young Master, why did you agree to take on such a useless idiot." The young master picked his head up and shot a look of disdain towards him, "You're one to talk Bard."
"Wait that's it! I'll just atone with my death," Grell grabbed a knife that was laying on the ground and put it to his throat. "Wha?!" Mey-rin yelped. "Hold on isn't that a bit extreme?!" Bard shouted at the sad figure on the ground. Your attention was drawn to Sebastian as he walked to the man on the ground about to take his life. He withdrew the knife from his throat and placed his hand on his shoulder, "Just think of the mess you'll make. It'll take hours to clean up all the blood."
Grell looked up at him his hands clasped as if he were praying, "Thank you, Sebastian, you're so very kind."
"That was kind?" Bard looked two the other two for help, and they shook their heads.
"Now what I'd like to know, is how you expect to serve the master such weak tea. Watch, one teaspoon of leaves for each person and one more for the pot and let steep until dark." The three of them took notes while Grell sat there watching in awe a blush running across his face. The young master left to go to his bedroom after having his tea. Sebastian turned, "Y/n clean this up, and all of you, the master and I are going out for the day. I expect this place in the same condition as we left it." Your eyes shot daggers at Sebastian which was reciprocated. Grell whimpered on the floor still stealing Sebastian's attention. "Oh, and if you do seek your eternal rest, please see to it outside would you and try not to make too big a mess." The young master and Sebastian had gone out to London, Finny somehow managed to break the young lord's walking stick again as you now know.
You sighed and started cleaning while the others left you and Grell. "Ahh, Grell how did you even end up on the bloody cart?"
~
When you finished cleaning up the mess he made, you and Grell joined the others in the garden. It was nice getting to know him, and you found him cute. "Oi! Grell come help with the pruning." Bard had shears in his hand waving them for Grell to take. You had a pocket-sized book concealed in your pocket to take with you instead of having to go to the library all the time. Sitting on the grass with Bard and Tanaka while the other three did garden work, you read 'The Crimes of Love' by Marquis de Sade, a French nobleman, you took a liking to his work. As you read the conversation switched to the history of the Phantomhives, interested you picked your head up. "Yeah, the manor has only been around for two or three years or something."
"Really? But it looks so stately and dignified," Grell was pruning the leaves quite well, they were beginning to look like something. "Naturally, that was the intention." Grell turned around to see whose voice that was. "Wah!" he jumped back a bit. Tanaka had used his energy to appear normal, "Oh look it's the real Tanaka! We barely see him anymore." Finny stopped weeding the garden waiting for Tanaka to talk. "This manor was specifically rebuilt to replicate the one that burned down. It is identical from the stairs to the paintings and even the cracks in the pillars."
"Oh I see and Master Ciel's parents... did they?" Grell's voice trailed off as if he were too awkward to say.
"Yes, sadly they both perished in the fire."
Poof.
Tanaka was back to his fun-sized self, you scooted over so he could lay his head on your lap while he took a break, a snot bubble coming out of his nose.
"What?! What happened?" Grell was so confused, you couldn't blame the poor fellow. "His energy and stamina levels are way beneath a normal person. He just needs some rest." Bard got up and stretched, and Mey-rin screamed. You looked up to see skulls everywhere.
"Grell, I think it's best to put the shears down."
"Oh no, I've done it again! That's it! I'm going to die," he jumped up on the convenient ladder that had a rope tied from a tree.
'How convenient'
"Now Grell I don't think it's best, remember what Sebastian said," you reached out to cut the rope before he could potentially break his neck, but a blonde girl came from out of nowhere removing the ladder from underneath his feet. His face turned blue almost instantly as he was dangling.
"Grell!!!"
You had no choice you quickly climbed the tree trashing your uniform with rips and scrapes and cut him down. He fell a few feet choking trying to pull off the rope but the same blonde girl in her orange dress dragged him off by the rope making him cough and splutter.
"Who the hell was that?" all of you were confused and decided to run after the girl. Back in the manor, it was redecorated with pink. Pink ribbons, pink streamers, glittery crap that made you cringe. "Oh! Look at all of you, how uncute! I absolutely have to dress you all up for the ball tonight."
"A- a ball my lady?" Mey-rin was skeptical of the little girl; everyone was confused. "Yes!" she clapped her hands together brightly smiling, her green eyes shone with happiness and she giggled, "Now, who's first?"
~
The little blonde girl made such a nuisance of herself. She tried dressing you and Mey-rin up but you gave the excuse to change your uniform and instead she chased Mey-rin around the manor. They were isolated to the salon as you took a breather in the corner by the entrance.
The door opened, and you heard a gasp from the young master, it sounded like he had a stroke. "Whatever is the matter?" Sebastian peeked in and gasped, a horror-stricken expression on his face. Pink ribbons were placed everywhere. Stuffed animals were put in place of vases and other decorative items. They spotted you in the corner. "What in the everlasting hell happened here?" Bard and the other burst through the door on the side and ran to Sebastian, he seized Sebastian by his coat. "Why are you all dressed like lunatics?!" poor Finnian, he broke down, "It's her she crazy!"
The young master gave a confused expression, "Who is crazy?" You pointed towards the door leading to the salon. Everyone went in to be greeted by even more pink ribbons and Grell hanging from the ceiling. Not asking any questions the young master ordered Sebastian to cut him down. "Ugh my mansion, it's so pink." The little blonde girl ran past Sebastian and into the young master's arms nearly knocking him down.
"CIELLL!!!" Regaining his balance, his eye widened. "E- Elizabeth what a surprise!"
She giggled, "How many times have I told you to call me Lizzie. I've missed you, darling boy."
"Lady Elizabeth," Sebastian approached the fast-talking little girl. "Oh, hello Sebastian. Aww, you took him down," she pouted up at the butler.
"Yes, he detracted from the beauty of the room." You sniggered and took Grell away from Sebastian.
"Oh, and I have a present for you too Sebastian. Here!" A pink bonnet with wildflowers was placed on his head and you laughed hysterically while the others tried to hold in their laughs. Mey-rin, Finny, and Bard caught a glimpse of Sebastian's expression and fell silent; you however kept laughing. "I am deeply honoured you went to all this trouble for a humble servant, your generosity overwhelms me," he bowed.
"Happy to help."
Grell walked to stand beside you and Sebastian the rope still around his neck, an orange bonnet on his head, "Sebastian who is that girl?"
"She is the daughter of the Marquess of Midford. Her full Christian name is Lady Elizabeth Ethel Cordelia Midford of Scotney, she also the young masters betrothed."
You nearly choked on air, 'I sincerely hope by the time they're married I'm out of service'.
"Oh, his fiance - wait what?!"
The other servants weren't exactly pleased either. "The young master... Marry... Her?!" Sebastian sighed shaking his head. "Yes, nobles marry other nobles."
"Anyway what I came here for. I prettied the place up for a ball tonight. Just us two, how's that sound?"
The young master was taken aback, "Absolutely not, no balls."
She ignored him and grabbed Grell by the rope still around his neck, "You come with me I want to make you more pretty than you already are!" Proceeding to haul him by the neck as she did earlier she ran off into another room slamming the door on the young master.
"Wait I said no balls!!!"
~
That night after avoiding the Lady Elizabeth so she couldn't dress you up she was complaining about the young lord being late. The boys were on the short end of the stick, all of them were in dresses. Grell in a white one, Finny in a black one with cat ears and a bell round his neck and poor Bard with a pink dress sporting a bright orange wig. Tanaka at least had on traditional wear for a Korean king. Where she got these costumes from stumped you, at least you didn't have to wear something ridiculous. She was trying to get Mey-rin to take off her glasses when the young master came downstairs in the attire she picked for him.
'He looks, dare I say it, adorable.'
"Leave her alone."
She jumped on him whirling him around. "See you look simply adorable- Ciel why aren't you wearing the ring I picked out it goes perfect with your outfit now where did it go?" she pretended to get sad before snatching the ring.
"Give it back!" the anger in his voice snapped you out of your daze. His face bore a scowl that made tears form in her eyes. "I- I just wanted everything to look perfect. Wh- Why are you getting so angry? I hate this ring! Take it!"
She threw the ring on the ground shattering it, piece of the diamond chipped off and the metal snapped in two. The young master went to strike her, but Sebastian grabbed his hand and he whipped his head around. "Master, you forgot the walking stick we went to so much trouble to get today."
Lady Elizabeth was crying on the floor in shock from the attempt to hit her. "Lady Elizabeth, I'm sorry. That ring was an heirloom passed down through that Phantomhive family. It was very important to him, please try to understand." The young lord grabbed the ring and tossed it out the window. "Ciel, wait! Why would you do that?"
He walked to the middle of the room. "It was nothing but a silly old ring. With or without it I'm still head of the family and that won't change." He turned to face his fiancee, "Stop your crying, how can I ask a lady with a runny nose and puffy eyes to dance?" he took his handkerchief and wiped her tears away.
"T- To dance?" he extended his hand to her, and she took it. Out of nowhere, Sebastian started playing the violin, where he got it from or how he got it so quickly was overlooked by everyone. The music was pleasant, Grell ran alongside him to sing. "What the hell?! He can actually sing." Bard was perplexed that Grell can do anything. You giggled and said, "If you get to know him, you'll be surprised what he's capable of."
~
Grell was leaving. Lady Elizabeth was in the carriage sound asleep. "Thank you, everyone, you all have taught me what it means to be a true butler. They say before a man dies his life flashes before his eyes, and when I die I'm certain that this day will be in my dying vision." Sebastian looked at him confused.
"Hmph, funny you should say that..."
Mey-rin laughed, "That's true, you haven't been very good at dying so far, have you?"
"Oh believe me I'm far more deadly efficient than I look." Grell ran to you and grasped your gentle hands in his. "Thank you, precious darling, I've gained a genuine friend, I don't doubt we'll encounter each other again."
You smiled reassuringly at him, "Just be careful."
He drove off to the estate of the Marquess.

Chapter 5: His Butler, Reading
Notes:
(See the end of the chapter for notes.)
You couldn’t sleep, it was as if someone was watching you. Not expecting anyone else to be up, you went for a walk around the manor. The moonlight shined through the windows gently reminding you of the first steps you took in the manor, you chuckled at the thought of you and Sebastian sarcastically answering each other. You’ve never met anyone as witty as you, it was fun having someone challenge you. You were literally knocked out of your thoughts by walking into something, well someone. He caught your wrist and you scoffed, “It’s always you isn’t it?”
He smirked, “That’s how you choose to greet me every time it seems.” He let go of your wrist, and you straightened your nightgown realising your buttons were undone prominently displaying your cleavage for the butler.
“Shit-” you spun around hastily trying to button back your nightgown. The candelabra in Sebastian’s hand was suddenly near your face and made you jump back into his chest, he grabbed your hand jerking it away from fumbling with your buttons and poked his finger in between your breast tracing it up to your collarbone, feeling his soft gloved finger sent a shiver down your spine. You smacked his hand away and held the fabric together. Angrily turning around you gritted your teeth, “Sebastian what the hell are you doing?!”
He put his hand to his chin, “Why are you blushing?”
You grabbed your cheeks and felt they were heated. “Tch, if any man did that my cheeks would be the same, it does not mean I liked it.” You also would’ve been angrier if it was any other man. You could’ve sworn you saw his eyes change colours or glow or something, your eyebrows furrowed.
“Something the matter?”
You narrowed your eyes, ‘Must’ve been a trick of the moonlight.’
“Nothing, I think I’ll go to sleep now.”
~
You blatantly lied. Your room was not your intention at all, you still couldn’t sleep. Making your way to the library was easy. You’ve been here a little over three months, the grand manor was no longer a bewildering maze to you. Grinning widely, you looked at the vast array of books that you had yet to read.
‘I wonder if I can read all before I have to leave here.’
A candle was burning low by a plush armchair, ‘The young master was probably in here reading.’
The book next to it grabbed your attention. ‘Antics of Satan and His Army of Fallen Angels’ by Hiemal Bassinet, it was relatively thick. You never genuinely believe in the supernatural, but you didn’t write it off, believing that some legends and myths have some fact of origin to it like God and Satan. It intrigued you as you carefully opened the book and started eagerly reading, “Of the numerous things in this world people choose to believe the supernatural isn’t one of them. They are skeptical, they are frightened. Not everything that is real can be seen or touched. It just takes a leap of faith and an open mind. Have you ever read the Bible and wondered what happened to Satan and his followers? All the wicked people were simply just terrible people? What if… they were demons. The demons were the temptations that were trying to steer God’s people to hell.” The book drew you in for hours, and you were nodding your head off for a few chapters before finally falling asleep.

Chapter 6: His Butler, Teaching
Chapter Text
"Ho ho ho," Tanaka came bouncing in looking for you. The sun hit almost every corner of the room and you were asleep in the armchair with a book in your lap. He pulled on your sleeve trying to wake you up. "Mmm.." You tried to turn over knocking the book on your toes. Jumping up in fright you lifted your feet in pain. "Shi- oww, oh Tanaka."
"Ho ho ho." You leaned back into the armchair trying to relax your heart from the rude awakening. The sunlight on your face felt nice, you didn't wake up too hot or too cold for once. You did wake up late. Extremely late... A couple of hours late.
"Oh my God Sebastian is going to kill me, isn't he?" You got up and started straightening the little area rambling on and on while Tanaka stood there with his fun-sized self. "I couldn't sleep, and I found this really great book and I must've fallen asleep and no Mey-rin to yell at me to get up ya know, don't exactly have things to wake me up in a library of all places-" you were cut short while fluffing pillows by Sebastian entering the room.
"There you are, where were you this morning?" Not wanting any trouble, you decided lying to be the best option.
"Uh well, you always start me off with the library I thought it best to just, go ahead and start and get a little ahead today."
Stupid.
You looked at the floor hoping he won't catch you in your little lie and nearly had a heart attack seeing the book on the floor when you accidentally dropped it. "With your hair in that state?" He closed his eyes and shook his head, and you took the opportunity to kick the book under the chair masking the sound it made with a cough. He sighed, "It can't be helped. Come here, turn around."
You blinked at him but did what he said anyway. Turning around you noticed Tanaka was still there, he had a pillow in his hand fluffing it. Sebastian's fingers combed through your hair like it was nothing, you could barely do that with an actual comb. Gathering it up into a ponytail he used the ribbon to tie it tightly and proceeded to twist it around, tucking it snuggly into the ribbon. "There, what do you think?"
Tanaka looked up at your hair, "Ho ho ho."
You felt your hair. "Where'd you learn to do hair so well? What institute taught a butler all of this," you turned to the smirking butler.
"No institute necessary, I'm simply, one hell of a butler." Your anxiety was building hoping he'd leave, so you could put the book back. "When you're done, I want you in the kitchen. Understood?" He started walking away but turned back to you, "Oh and Madame Red will be joining the young master this afternoon in about an hour so do hurry. I prefer Grell out of the kitchen," he shut the door on you.
"Ho Ho Ho."
"Yeah yeah, I know Tanaka." You and Tanaka straightened out the rest of the library, well he just watched you mostly and fluffed already fluffed pillows. He took up the book you kicked under the chair and looked up at you. Taking the book from him, you flipped it over in your hands feeling the material, it was an old book. "Do you think anyone will notice that it's missing for a while?"
"Ho Ho Ho," he stared up at you. "I think I'll take that as a no? Let's go I can't lie to save my head all the time he's too smart." Dropping the book on your bed in your room, you made your way to the kitchen.
~
Down in the kitchen, (which hasn't been destroyed all day, new record), Sebastian was teaching you how to properly prepare the little pastry stand. "This is a three-tiered serving stand. You use it for variety and style instead of a normal serving plate. More to enjoy with the tea instead of having just one thing. It is also used to organize the pastries like so, scones on the bottom, they're bigger than the rest of the food and not often touched, gives it balance when you're bringing it and taking it away. Next, you have finger sandwiches in the middle, they are eaten more than scones are and are smaller, but since they are to be eaten in moderation and we do need the young master to eat dinner, you'll put it in the middle. Not too big and not too small. Finally, the smallest tier on top is made for small sweets, try and limit these to about three, no more than five depending on the number of people you're serving, I don't want his teeth to rot. These aren't touched as much as finger sandwiches but this is the young master we're talking about."
The explanation was so much, you preferred him to just tell you where it was supposed to go, not a whole history lesson on why.
"What about the little jams there?" You pointed to a minuscule container of bright red jam on the counter.
"Ah, this you put in the middle of the cakes. It is normally eaten with scones, so they won't choke on it from eating it alone. Now! Set it up; we have roughly eight minutes before Madame Red arrives. I have to go prepare to greet them. Make the tea as well."
You started to prepare the snacks for them. "Scones here, finger sandwiches there and maybe four small sweets it's only two people so two each, and the jam. Perfect," Sebastian didn't tell you which tea nor did he set out a tea for you to prepare. Good grief...
'Earl Grey would be too bitter to have with the taste of these foods. A blend should do well with this set.'
A few minutes later Sebastian came back to a perfectly done pastry rack and well-blended tea. "Splendid you catch on quick. We'll have your English lesson after Madame Red leaves." Groaning you took up the refreshments to the garden where the young master and Madame Red were waiting to be served.
"Oh Y/n dear, so nice to see you again." You smiled shyly and curtsied a little, hoping to skip your lesson and convince Sebastian to cancel it you tried to be the most respectful you could.
"The pleasure is mine ma'am." You noticed Grell wasn't there but decided not to question it he was probably with the other servants.
~
"Excellent job today, unlike those other three..." he took off his tailcoat and opened up the water, rolling up his sleeves he asked you to pass the dishes. Reaching for the dishes you noticed the way his forearms flexed. Skin on the butler was rarely seen, snapping out of your train of thought you removed the saucers and cups from the tea cart and started handing them to Sebastian. "Well, they're living their life to the fullest I'd say, enjoying themselves here is not an easy task." The scent of the soap drifted on the air, taking the wet dishes he handed you, you wiped them down with a dishrag.
"Oh? Having fun here is difficult?"
"No, just being a servant in general, not a lot of people find that fun or exciting... then again not all servants work at the Phantomhive manor."
He chuckled, "It is quite a unique household isn't it? Assassins, a military officer, a guard dog and superhuman strength all bunched in one."
You scoffed, "You didn't say what you were."
While you were drying the last dish he turned off the water and smiled at you, "I'm simply, one hell of a butler."
You rolled your eyes and wiped the counter while he unrolled his sleeves and put his tailcoat back on. "Time for your lesson in the smaller kitchen."
Groaning you deliberately dragged yourself to the smaller kitchen and dragged a chair very loudly and dropped yourself in the chair. "Do I have to teach you to be lady-like as well?" he took out glasses and placed them on the bridge of his nose, damn he looked hot. "I'm a servant no one caresss." Pieces of paper and a pen were waiting for you on the table. "Now, I've written down several situations, you will respond to them how you would react in real life, that includes your actions and words."
A half an hour later you submitted your papers to him. Adjusting his glasses, he read through your papers. "All perfect, although this situation could be a little better. You're still mildly aggressive. You must take care not to let that show. Here let's act it out."
Standing up he put his hand out. "Y/n, dance with me." Placing your hand on his shoulder, while he wrapped his around your waist the both of you started moving. Tripping over your own two feet with the sudden backwards movement, you stumbled often. "Now imagine knocking into a duke of some sort and he yells at you for being so clumsy, calling you slurs and making snide remarks about your dancing," he pushed you back making you lose your balance but held you tightly in place, inches from the floor you looked up, "What would you do?" Besides the embarrassment, you felt anger for the "duke" to call you out like that.
Gritting your teeth, you muttered a "Sorry my Lord" and said you'd hang your head in shame without making eye contact. "Try it with less aggression, a soft tone. As if you felt bad." Taking a few breaths you held all the anger in your chest and put on a fake sweet voice. "Sorry, my Lord."
"A little softer, you want them to accept it, or what passes for an acceptance." Exhaling through your mouth you calmed down, "I'm sorry my Lord."
Pulling you up so close, you inhaled the scent of tea and roses from him. "Perfect. We do have to work on your dancing though, and perhaps one more lesson after this. You need to control your emotions and mannerisms while serving the nobility."
"Haha, I don't think we're there yet."

Chapter Text
The young master had you and Sebastian go into town with him. The Queen had another job for her faithful guard dog. To get you up to date, the young master explained what was going on and gave you news clippings with the articles on it while in the carriage. All were essentially saying the same thing. This "Jack the Ripper" had brutally murdered a few local prostitutes in the East End, they were all gruesome murders, mutilated in the same way. How they were mutilated was not mentioned.
"Do the prostitutes have any ties to each other besides their rather... unique occupation." He smirked, "It seems you ask the relevant questions from the start. I knew I was right in choosing you to assist me." You smiled at the young lord as he sat across from you, the carriage jolted as it came to a stop. Sebastian opened the door and you let the young master go out first, Sebastian extended his hand towards you with his closed eye smile, you swatted away his hand and hopped out the carriage. "That's not very lady like you know." You went to open the door for the master. "Well then it's rather fortunate I'm not considered a lady by society." Opening the door you held it for both of them to walk through. Going into the drawing-room, the three of you came upon a rather odd sight. Madame Red, Grell, and Mr. Lau completely trashed the room, apparently, they were looking for tea.
"Madame Red?! Lau?! What are you doing here?"
They just noticed that you three entered the room. "Oh, Ciel darling you're here early won't be another couple of days before the nobility come to the city."
"If you're here my lord that can only mean one thing."
"The Queen's guard dog has a new scent to follow."
The young master was unamused, "Sebastian it appears we have guests, go prepare some snacks, we'll be in the parlour instead."
Sebastian bowed, "Certainly, my lord." He turned to you, "Clean this up and help me serve the tea, don't stay too long with your head in the books," he affectionately grazed your cheek which heated up immediately, winking he left. That reminded you that you had brought the book concerning demons, it intrigued you so much.
~
"Are you sure you'll be brave enough to stomach the crime scene?" you walked in while they were discussing the case.
"What do you mean?" the young lord turned to Mr. Lau.
"The sight of the dismembered body is gruesome, and one can only imagine the stench. Are you prepared for that little lord?" He scoffed at the question, "I am the head of the Phantomhive family, don't ask foolish questions. Now, I assume you're going to follow me whether I ask or not, so let's go."
You blinked at Mr. Lau, "The papers didn't say anything about the bodies being dismembered, do you know something?" He merely laughed and shrugged his shoulders. "One hears many things in the underworld, whether or not it's true is of no concern to me, I've never seen the bodies."
~
There was a large crowd of people around the crime scene, honestly, how could Scotland Yard let so many people near. "I'm afraid this is no place for a boy, why don't you run along home," a young handsome brunette inspector waved off the young master with this statement.
"Abberline!" Sir Randall approached all of you looking rather annoyed that you were there. "Ah, what do you want Phantomhive, out with it," he gnashed his teeth baring his anger out for everyone to see. He lifted up the letter to show the royal coat of arms on the seal, "Your investigation was straggling a bit so I was sent in," he grabbed the papers out of Inspector Abberline's hand, skimmed it and handed it to Sebastian to read. "Shall we be off?" Madame Red, Mr. Lau, Sebastian, you, and Grell walked away from the angry man and his confused subordinate who had his papers returned.
"So where to now darling?"
The young master sighed, "To someone who can be of use."
Mr. Lau gasped as if the young lord said something embarrassing, "My Lord! Surely not..."
~
You giggled, it was great to be able to see your friend again.
"The Undertaker?"
"So... who is this?" Mr. Lau... forever leading everyone on. You didn't know why any of you paid attention to when he indicates he may know something. Good grief if you weren't such a lowly servant you'd slap him.
You sat on your special coffin; it was about the young masters' size, perfect to stretch your legs and enjoy your tea. While everyone was getting settled in trying to adjust to what was creepy to them, you looked for the Undertaker.
"Undertaker, are you about?" the young Lord shouted to the air.
An eerie laugh rang through it the parlour, "Heehee well then, hello there my Lord tell me... Do I finally have the pleasure it's fitting you for one of me coffins today?" He stepped out of the coffin in the corner with his eyes gleaming in the dark scaring Grell so much he ended up on the floor mouth wide in shock.
"No that isn't why I'm here I nee-" the Undertaker put his finger to the earl's lips to silence him and turned to face you a mischievous grin on his face. "Dearie it looks like you've gotten mixed up with the little earl here I warned you not to, he and that butler of his aren't ever in any safe situations."
"Ohhh I see my Lord this is nothing but a cover-up. How much is it for information?" Mr. Lau asked the Undertaker. Grabbing him Undertaker grinned in delight, "I want nothing to do with the Queen's measly coins," glancing at the young Lord he suddenly grabbed him as well. "You know what it is I need, give it to me and all me information is yours. Give me the simple pleasure of a joke!"
After Madame Red and Mr. Lau's pathetic attempts at trying to make Undertaker laugh he turned to you but you shook your head. "It seems like you're the only one left my lord." Sebastian stepped forward, "I'll handle this, I need you all to wait outside, and don't attempt to hear this no matter what." Everyone headed outside while you remained seated on the coffin. "You too Y/n." He grabbed your arm and dragged you outside, a mere thirty seconds later the Undertaker's laugh was so chaotic it made his sign fall down. Sebastian opened the door revealing an exhausted Undertaker clinging on to one of his coffins, drool from having his mouth open so long started to trickle down his chin. "Oh wow, I've now seen the face of ultimate bliss. Who knew the butler had that up his sleeve."
Settling back in the Undertaker got himself together enough to talk normally. "Well you see, there is a pattern. I often get customers who are incomplete. The uterus is missing which is quite odd. The killer makes a big mess of the body, but that particular part is always precisely excised."
"He did it on a road that was public though, not high traffic. Wouldn't an amateur have difficulty performing that quickly?" Sebastian inquired.
"A doctor then?" You furrowed your eyebrows.
"You think quickly Y/n, you too butler. I thought so too. First, he slits their throat then he rips out that little organ. Sadistic killers like this one don't stop until someone stops them. Will you sniff him out like the good dog you are?"
The young master scoffed at the question, "I am bound by my family and service to the Queen, I eliminate anyone she asks me to, without failure."
~
In the carriage on the way home, you all discussed the case. "First, we look at people with the necessary skill set crossing out anyone with an alibi. Removal of the organs suggests some sort of gruesome ritual."
"Not necessarily, some killers take things from their victims as trophies. Look for people who are obsessive or someone who likes to brag and show off." You should know, not being a serial killer but by being a killer yourself, it's easy to look into the mind of someone of that nature.
Scoffing, Madame Red retorted, "As if that narrows the suspects, why even I would have the medical skills for this. Besides which the season is ending soon, everyone will have to go back their separate ways."
"Then we'll have to conclude the investigation soon," arrogantly smiling, Sebastian asked the young Lord to be excused to start making a suspect list. Opening the door, the young master waved him off, and he jumped... out of a moving carriage...
~
Opening the door for them to enter the townhouse, you saw Sebastian standing there. "I-"
He bowed taking the young masters hat, "Welcome home your tea is waiting for you in the drawing-room."
"How are you here?!!"
"Well after making the suspect list I came home to edify you my lady. "
"Sebastian I admit you do your job well. But how do you manage to jump out of a moving carriage and then go all over London to collect information about a night that someone surely would have to jog their memory a bit to remember exactly what happened. That's impossible what are you?" You scoffed at the showoff. It wasn't humanly possible.
He smiled, "Surely you know by now," you waited for the iconic line he loves to say whenever he gets the opportunity but all you received is an innocent stare, knowing Sebastian, it was far from innocent.
"Come on you aren't some sort of Secret Military Intelligence officer?" Madame Red broke the awkward silence.
"No my lady, I'm simply one hell of a butler." There it goes.
Madame Red whispered to Grell, "I'm sure those two are together, those knowing stares. Don't you agree?" Mr. Lau settled himself in between them, "Rightttt, the head maid running off with the head butler, how scandalous." They concocted other nonsense theories about you and Sebastian that made you blush furiously.
Sebastian walked close by you while you two escorted the chattering lot to the drawing-room. He leaned in and whispered softly in your ear, "We could run away you know." You scoffed and laughed at the idea desperately trying to hide your blushing face from the observant guests and butler.
~
"I have narrowed it down to one possible suspect."
It was time to attend your first ball.

Chapter 8: His butler, Dancing
Notes:
(See the end of the chapter for notes.)
Chapter Text
You, the young lord, Sebastian, Madame Red, Lau and Grell were on your way to a Viscount Druitt's estate. Jewels from everyone's party attire glittered in the light of streetlamps as Grell drove the carriage.
"The Viscount Druitt, he has a medical license but hasn't gone into practice ever since he graduated. Lately, he's thrown several parties at his home."
'That's odd, how could prostitutes be invited to a party thrown by a gentry... could he be kidnaping them and dumping them?'
So many questions entered your mind tuning out Sebastian's talking. Never realizing your arrival Madame Red shook you, "Y/n, are you okay darling?"
Jerking your head you gave her a nervous laugh, "Oh, my lady, I'm sorry yes." A man extended his hand for you to take and you gracefully accepted it descending to the ground. Grinning you looked up and down at the young lord sporting a pink dress with a pink-flowered hat, underneath were hair extensions gathered up into two ponytails. Black gloves reaching his elbows and heels under his dress. He actually passed off as a girl, how entertaining for you and Sebastian.
"Tonight is the last party of the season. This is our last chance."
Walking in next to the young lord the six of you gathered in a corner to discuss what would happen. "Ciel and Y/n will be my nieces visiting in from the country and Sebastian will be their tutor. Lau will pose as my beau and Grell is, well... Grell." Stifling your need to laugh with a stoic facade, the young master yelled at Madame Red for dressing him up as a girl.
"By any means necessary, you did say that earlier, my young mistress." The young master shot a glare at Sebastian then glared at your back as you hid your laughter. All of you spread out through the party, Madame Red with Grell and Mr. Lau, and you with Sebastian and the young lord.
"Alright, we have to find the Viscount, Y/n I want you to go your own way. If you locate him first then- " the young lord was cut off by the one voice you three never wanted to hear there. "You in the pink, your dress is so lovely! Wait!!" the Lady Elizabeth was there, complimenting women on their dresses, being fawned over by everyone who had the unfortunate pleasure of meeting her. "Y/n go!" the young lord pushed you away, and Sebastian grabbed him and went while you regained your balance, these dresses were too big and so easy to fall in. You saw your reflection in the shattered crystal on the wall, red reflected on all the diamond-shaped pieces. The black lace on your soft skin was perfect across your arms and chest held together by a rose brooch at the throat. The corset and style of the dress pushed your breast up and exposed some of your chest. Your hair in loose curls pinned halfway up by Sebastian and a black teardrop hat with red roses, feathers and black lace topped it all off. You looked stunning, on your hands were short black gloves like the ones Madame Red usually wears. A figure approached you from behind, "Would it be too impolite to strike up a conversation with one so beautiful as yourself?" A blonde handsome young man dressed in all white with touches of baby blue greeted you with the kindest smile. Smiling politely you almost curtsied, remembering you were acting as the niece of a noblewoman you saved yourself with pretending to hide your face by shying away. "What would be impolite my lord is not telling a lady your name."
Smirking he moved a bit closer, "I am the owner of this estate, my dear, the Viscount of Druitt, Aleister Chambers and who might you be?" He took your hand and kissed it. Panic-stricken you gave the first thing that popped to your head. "Oh, silly little me? I'm Vera, a niece of Angelina Dalles, I'm visiting from the country."
"Oh, Madame Red? You've taken her style of clothing I see, I guess it runs in the family," he laughed gently.
You mimicked his gently laugh, "Sadly I wasn't prepared for a soiree, so I had to borrow a dress from her, my sister was prepared though. She looks stunning tonight, you should meet her." Scanning the room for the young lord, you saw him dancing with Sebastian on the dance floor trying to avoid a persistent Lady Elizabeth. "There she is my Lord, please she would love nothing more."
He watched them intently, and they danced across the floor over to where you were standing. Slowly clapping he greeted them with you at his side, "Your dancing was exquisite like a lovely little robin, my sweet. Your sister here tells me you would like to meet me."
Sebastian bowed his head, "My lady, I have danced with your sister but not you. Would you do me the honour?" Here was the signal to know whether you're needed or not.
"Oh, I wouldn't want my sister to leave me. We're quite a pair." And the young master clearly wanted you to stay.
"Surely she can spare a dance. The tutor seems quite eager, he can escort the lovely lady back." the Viscount said, he apparently wanted the young lord alone for a moment.
Hesitantly taking Sebastian's hand he dragged you out to the dance floor. He looked like he had the urge to laugh and cleared his throat, "Let's see if you dance better than you did the other day shall we?"
'Crap... I can't dance.'
"Se-" Too late, the musicians started up a new song and people were looking since there were few on the dance floor. Sebastian drew you in tightly and began the dance. Desperately clinging on to him, you moved with him to the slow pace of the music drawing in breaths every time you unexpectedly turn in hopes of not screwing up. "You know, this would go more smoothly if you relaxed and looked at me." Picking your head up you realized how short you were with heels on, you were eye level with his lips. Trying to let your body just flow was sort of hard before inhaling his scent, tea and roses again. It coursed through you like a drug, calming your nerves and muscles. Looking into his eyes, a small smile graced your lips and the both of you danced like there was something magical in the air between you. Instinctively you moved closer closing the almost non-existent gap between your bodies making women gossip of how jealous they were their male friends couldn't create what was occurring between you two. Even Madame Red stopped chatting to look at you both. An enchanting scene for all who bothered to look, even more enchanting for someone falling for their superior. The music ended and the ballroom erupted in cheers before turning to talk about both of you. Moving off the dance floor, you and Sebastian had stepped into a corner a few feet away from Druitt who was so enamoured with the young master.
"I have an idea, fetch me a glass of champagne Mr. Michaelis," winking at the butler he smirked and bowed, "Of course, my lady."
~
"Oh Lord Druitt why have fun with her alone when you could have us both? I'm sure my sister wouldn't mind sharing." You winked at the blonde man grinning widely with your glass of champagne, giving the illusion you were drunk. Draping your arms around his shoulders, while the viscount was indulged with you, you saw the young master gag and mentally laughed.
"Oh how inseparable you two really are, I suppose the more the merrier. Come let's slip away while no one is looking," he snaked his arm around your waist and let the young Lord follow behind. He led both of you behind a curtain in the ballroom which concealed a hallway, a door was visible at the end. He opened the door and held it open for the both of you, "Right this way."
Entering the room, you began to lose focus, something was suffocating you and you staggered back hitting the wall finally passing out.
~
Coming to, you were locked in a cage with your hands bound. An old man with a mask on was handing a woman who was barely dressed with a mask on something. She smiled and walked off, leaving the old man in the room with you. This scene was too familiar...The memory hit you instantly, human trading. Druitt was removing the organs and selling them.
'Why would people need a uterus, this doesn't make sense.'
Noticing you were awake the old man grinned, "Well now looks who's awake." He licked his lips greedily, approaching the cage and bent down, "What's your name pretty?" Panicking you backed up and struggled with your bonds. "Come on I won't bite... well maybe I will later," he jeered eyeing you up and down, pushing his hand through the bars hoping to caress your leg. Kicking at him violently you shouted at the top of your lungs hoping to alert the party guests that something was going on.
"Don't touch me you perverted scum!! "
He laughed at your attempt to get him away, kicking more violently the cage tipped over and you fell knocking your back on the mixture of the polished floor and steel cage bars, the oxygen in your lungs almost exited your body completely. He grinned looking over you, but not for long his face hit the floor and he remained there unmoving.
"Oh, whatever am I going to do with you?"
You rolled your eyes calming down, "Maybe pick up the cage and let me out?"
Sebastian kneeled down opening the cage and picked you up, "I'd rather do it this way." He placed you sitting in his lap and untied your bonds.
"Where's the young master? " You stood up and looked at the disgusting old man.
"Leave him," Sebastian said in a warning tone. "The young master is safe and is waiting outside for us, the Yard will be here any moment. We should go."
~
In the carriage back to the townhouse you were more quiet than usual, the young master took notice.
"Something the matter?" He snapped you out of your train of thought.
"Nothing my Lord."
You stared at your hands in your lap. You felt utterly useless, barely any input on the case and ended up captured and practically sold. If it weren't for Sebastian who knows what would have happened to you. Arriving at the house you excused yourself and went into your room. Tears surfaced and you leaned your head back trying to blink it out of your eyes. You removed the stunning gown that you borrowed and placed it in the chair for Madame Red to take when she's ready. Taking off the corset and discarding it, you took a deep breath not bothering to change into your nightgown, you buried yourself under your covers and squeezed your eyes shut hoping to fall asleep soon.
Wrong.
Grabbing the book under your pillow, you lit a candelabra and had the small flames illuminate the pages.
"Demons still walk amongst us today, and they are hard to distinguish. Flawless and demonic in their ways they seem like sadistic humans. Cruel but loveable, open yet closed, they are contradicting creatures. Rare you will see a demon freely walking around; they are chained to their human prey. They are bound by a contract. A deal between them is made. The human's soul for a wish, when it is fulfilled the demon will then consume the promised soul."
Feeling sleepy you stopped at the end of the chapter, but too interested you looked at the title of the next chapter. "Types of contracts" tucking the book under your pillow you fell asleep waiting for morning to come so you can start the new chapter.

Chapter 9: His Butler, Chance Encounter
Notes:
(See the end of the chapter for notes.)
Once a living mortal has agreed to make a contract, a demonic pact is formed via many varied means, the most common way believed by humans is by signing with your blood. Indeed, that is a way but the most common is with a mark from the demon. Consensual sex is also another way. Demons have distinctive marks, the more obvious place the mark is, the tighter the demon and prey are bound. In the past years, humans frequently mistook birthmarks and scars as demonic marks, which was an indication that it was their contract with Satan and the human was a witch/warlock. They were wrong, of course, I doubt there are any demonic marks in the shape of a common birthmark or beauty mark. Contracts are not only formed with humans, demons mark each other when they have found their chosen mate. Male demons normally mark their female counterparts, but it isn't uncommon for a female to mark a male. Demons cannot love, they mate for breeding purposes. Both are possessive creatures by nature and if another demon tries to steal another's mate they would fight to the death for the demon in question. Normally the demon's mate wins, it is rare for the other to succeed."
Setting the book down you rolled your eyes.
'How cliché, demons are basically sadistic powerful creatures who can't die'
~
Jack the Ripper strikes again.
The young lord was beyond pissed off, "It seems the Viscount wasn't our man after all. Come, there's no use obsessing about it, let's relax with a game of chess." Madame Red attempted to take his mind off it.
Sebastian approached you, his face although neutral like it is when he doesn't wear a smirk seemed troubled to you. "Sebastian...? Are you alright?"
"Yes, this case is quite troublesome at the moment. I wonder how the young lord will take it. The Viscount was the only humanly possible suspect. Odds are the answer is staring us in the face..." His face bore a frown as he reread all the information he had.
"I'll look over the case after I serve the tea." sighing you walked off, "I feel like being alone anyway," you muttered low so no one heard you, or so you thought.
"A Fortnum and Mason blend my lord."
"Fine," he took a sip.
"May I be excused? I don't feel too well, I'll be looking over the case if you'll allow me?" trying to look as miserable as you could without overdoing it hoping he'd pity you must've worked because he allowed you to. Although he wasn't known to pity people, especially those he knows are lying. You've been in a right state all morning, more sombre than usual, he's probably just letting you go. Whatever the case you were appreciative.
"Say Madame Red. You work at a hospital right? Can all doctors perform a fundectomy?" you turned and asked.
"That depends dear, depends on the type of fundectomy and gender, they don't teach every student every field of doctoring."
"Oh okay, I was just curious how they taught doctors, if every doctor can perform the same procedures." Sebastian handed you a copy of the suspect list and other details for you to use.
Six. Whole. Pages. And Sebastian's handwriting isn't exactly huge...thankfully it isn't minuscule either. This was too much, you'll have to read through and condense it. Seizing pieces of paper, you started to read what each suspect was doing on the nights the murders occurred and everything pointed to Viscount Druitt. Maybe you were looking at this all wrong.
Sebastian came knocking at your door with the young master in tow. "Any luck?"
"Ah my lord. Not as of yet, it still points to Druitt. Maybe I'm looking at this the wrong way. I"ll let you know if I find anything," you gave a business smile to the young lord who stood there with his arms folded.
"Sebastian and I are going somewhere. I advise you not to follow if you value your sanity." Raising your eyebrow at him, you almost had the urge to laugh at him, being an assassin, having to take someone's life and still maintain your sanity? A dream only people with a conscience have.
Noting your expression he gave a little laugh, "A joke only. We'll be back as soon as we can. Continue searching. I'm anxious to see what you come up with." Nodding your head, he and Sebastian left. After about an hour of dismissing people from the list who you were certain had absolutely nothing to do with you were left with about twenty doctors. Turning everything around you decided to see what the victims had in common besides prostitution. All were around the same age and all were murdered before their uterus was taken out. The uterus was never recovered.
'Why the uterus, no recent donations were made at any hospitals. And I doubt anyone would specifically need a uterus in the underworld.'
So a doctor murdering local prostitutes, writing this down made you feel like you were getting somewhere. This was strange, what hospital could a prostitute afford? There's the hospital in Whitechapel, the Royal London Hospital. The medical records there say they all recently had a procedure for an abortion done by Angelina Dalles. Placing Madame Red underneath Lord Druitt's name you looked at her alibi. Each time she was with the young lord or asleep with Grelle as her witness so that rules her out. Nothing else really ties them together besides each having an abortion performed by the same person. You doubted Madame Red would commit these murders but she fits the culprit more than Druitt does but she provided an alibi each time. Remembering what Madame Red said, "type and gender, not all doctors are taught the same thing" you removed all the male doctors instead of Druitt, he could have had a possible accomplice like that woman who was handling the money last night. Three female doctors left, the prostitutes never met those other two doctors. Something Sebastian said came flooding back in your frantic thoughts, "Odds are it's staring us in the face."
Madame Red... but how to explain if she was with the young lord during certain murders and was with us at the soiree? It finally hit you, Grell. It all fits, Grell is not here sometimes but he's a servant so people aren't going to think anything of it, and who better to confirm a fake alibi than someone who commits the crime with you. Like the other day when Madame Red came for tea, Grell wasn't there and you paid no mind. The only one who would be able to take a uterus out quickly enough is Madame Red, she herself said she would have the medical skills to do it. A recent prostitute that had the same procedure done by her was Mary Kelly, but she's still alive, it's all on file, everything all up to where she lives.
"Oh shit. It's Madame Red and Grell."
Dashing out the townhouse to Mary Kelly's home in a small secluded part of Whitechapel, you wondered if the young master knew already.
'Why would they leave me?'
~
'That's why- '
Your skin was ice in the cold streets of dark London. The adrenaline rush coursing through you kept you ignorant to it. What you witnessed was a scene of utter chaos frozen like the temperature of your skin.
Sebastian's foot on someone's face, in his hand a chainsaw mere inches away from the person. Staring at the person underneath him your breath hitched in your throat and your eyes widened in shock, "Grell..?" His whole appearance was different, luscious red flowing hair and Madame Red's coat, his face was beaten almost to the point of no recognition.
Madame Red on the ground, the young master bleeding, Sebastian bloody, and Grell fully in red with a chainsaw at his face held by Sebastian and they all looked at you with the same expression on their faces. At least those who were still alive. Right now you weren't sure who was Jack the Ripper, those who were dead and about to die, or those who were injured about to slay a man with a chainsaw.
"Y/n!" the young master called out your name and you were hit from behind your head, knocked all the way to the ground you turned on your side to see a tall bespectacled man, you don't know if it was the blow to your head or if he was truly standing on the pinnacle of a building. Your vision was rapidly becoming blurry as you forced yourself to squint, dark circles were forming in your vision and your nerve endings were on fire. He was suddenly at your side, and he glanced at you before consulting a book it seemed. The man stared down at your barely conscious figure.
"Interesting," he said in a completely monotone voice. You heard the clicks of some sort of machinery before passing out completely.
(Holy crap I realized I have Y/n pass out a lot. That'll end soon I swear. T^T)

Blinking a couple of times, you realised you were back in your room. Tucked in perfectly and everything was so warm, you turned on your side looking out the window it was a clear night sky, the moon was waning shedding a considerate amount of light to the streets below.
"So you're awake now, how stubborn of you to come running like that." Jumping a little you realised it was none other than Sebastian probably just walking in. You concentrated on how beautiful the sky was, not every night London has such a perfect sky. "Marquis de Sade... interesting choice of literature." You had brought that book with you also and had left it on the desk.
"He was a philosopher who wrote what other people were afraid to, I see nothing so interesting about him."
“When she's abandoned her moral centre and teachings...when she's cast aside her facade of propriety and lady-like demeanour...when I have so corrupted this fragile thing and brought out a writhing, mewling, bucking, wanton whore for my enjoyment and pleasure...enticing from within this feral lioness...growling and scratching and biting...taking everything I dish out to her.....at that moment she is never more beautiful to me,” the bed dipped like his velvety voice when he spoke those words, as if they weren't degrading but rather sensual, it sent shivers down your spine. Sebastian put his weight caging you between his arms, "I hardly think that isn't interesting."
Eyes wide in shock you squirmed between his hands, "Well, he did have an interesting way of putting things..." you said in a shaky breath. Sitting up still trapped between Sebastian's arms your eyes never left each other. Panicking internally, your heartbeat increased leaving you hot and flustered. "I've often wondered why he typically referred to the woman as a whore, it ruins the whole feeling of it. Don't you agree?" Swallowing thickly you nodded your head and moved back a little bumping your head on the headboard. He snickered as you rubbed the back of your head which ached more than it should've.
"Do you always end up getting hurt?" he asked as he took the slick ice from a bowl he placed on the nightstand earlier, carefully wrapping it tightly in thin cloths.
"Only when you're around."
~
Madame Red's funeral was in the local church not far from the townhouse. Sitting in the carriage while Sebastian drove, the air was thick with tension. You were trying to comprehend what the young master told you. Madame Red and Grell were Jack the Ripper and Grell used a chainsaw to horribly disfigure the bodies while Madame Red removed their uteruses. Apparently, Madame Red had snapped due to the unfortunate fact she couldn't have her own children and Grell was a freak, at least that's the way he put it, no true motive for Grell's actions. After you got knocked out Grell managed to escape. What he said made sense but you couldn't fight the funny feeling that he was lying. "I didn't think you'd crack the case, I'm continuously impressed with you." Giving the young master a small smile you thanked him, you didn't want to be right, you sincerely wished it was someone else that was Jack the Ripper.
~
Taking this chance to talk with Undertaker some kids came by interested in what was going on. After an explanation given by the Undertaker, they ran away scared. "How has your life been in that manor? I heard that this was your first case."
Leaning on the gate that surrounded the church grounds you looked at the dirt. "Honestly... depressing. I know there are people who betray you but Madame Red... unexpected. That poor boy has had it rough, his parents, now the only family member who bothered to love and take time to visit him is gone," you felt your heart wilt and you grew sad. You had a soft spot for children, even those as proud and cruel as the young master. He lost his opportunity to be a child. He just needs someone to love him, not baby him. You felt the need to at least do what you can for him, not out of sympathy, out of instinct, you are a woman after all.
"Don't get too attached now, you do remember what happened the last time you loved a child." Tensing up at his words you brushed aside your feelings growing cold.
"I had a heart then Undertaker, I fend for myself only."
Poking your cheek, his voice turned serious, "The more you think like that the more you'll embrace it. Don't become something you'll regret." Walking off to officially bury Madame Red and Mary Kelly the Undertaker left you to your thoughts.
'Cold-hearted can't be that bad. You won't feel loss, and rarely can anything hurt you.'

Chapter Text
~November 1887~
Two months after the funeral~
Sebastian has been awfully close to you, popping up when you least expect it, sometimes helping you out and making small talk. You liked having him around, then again who wouldn't want someone good looking like him around, honestly, he's so sexy it could be a sin. A sarcastic, attractive perfect man. Well almost perfect, you noticed him staring out the corner of your eye, so much that one time he halfway burned a cake he was making for the young master. As nearly perfect as that man is, you started noticing some strange things about him, his eyes would sometimes glow but turn to normal immediately and bizarre unexplained things happened. Finny accidentally clipped Sebastian's hair with garden shears while messing around with it and later that night his hair had grown back to the exact length. You pulled on it to see if it was his real hair and sure enough it was. He'd also turn up to help you even if he's nowhere near. Quite odd for a human being...
Today was quite an unusual day, even for the Phantomhive household. The three idiotic coworkers of yours were barely anywhere to be seen. It all started when the young master sent for them, after that they seemed to be disappearing and reappearing randomly as you did your chores. It looked to you as if they were following Sebastian. You had your suspicions of him being inhuman, but you doubt they guessed that seeing as they've been here way longer than you... Then again Mey-rin couldn't tell the difference between wax and shoe polish. Finny has inhumane strength but he's still human enough, you don't think that's the case. Sebastian had to be something else that's the only explanation. It's that damn book that aroused your suspicion in the first place. You decided to sneak back into your room when you had time. You weren't extremely tired today, an average day of servants work no longer tired you out.
~
"Oh hello Y/n, is the Earl in?"
"Mr. Lau, Miss Ran-Mao, yes he's in his study at the moment, please follow- "
"Oh don't worry, I'll go up myself, Ran-Mao here will keep you company," Mr. Lau left leaving you and his sister-in-law together. Normally she's quiet and attached to Mr. Lau at the hip, but she's taken a strong liking to you. Poking your cheek, she blinked at you, "Ran-Mao, no 'miss'."
Your lessons with Sebastian had grown on you, respect came pouring naturally out your mouth.
"Of course Ran-Mao."
Smiling gently you walked around the manor with Ran-Mao at your side, about to enter the drawing-room Mey-rin came running for her.
"Running Mey-rin..."
"I know, but Mr. Lau wanted me to get Miss Ran-Mao quickly. I had no choice since I couldn't find you two, and the guest arrived, Sebastian wants you." The three of you hurried off, you branched off from Mey-rin and Ran-Mao to meet Sebastian, Tanaka and the guest in a separate room. They were late.
"Apologies we had some... rising distractions."
The blonde man Mr. Jones blushed clearly embarrassed from the memory of the distraction. "Ah yes, shall we?" he cleared his throat. Opening the door for them to enter you saw Tanaka already seated, you were there to record everything that was said.
Sebastian talked too fast both you and Mr. Jones couldn't keep up with what he said. Setting down the pen you crossed your arms and pursed your lips staring daggers at Sebastian. "I'd like to have a picture to go with the article if you don't mind, you and the maid would be nice portrait."
"I'm sorry I would have to decline. I'm simply, one hell of a butler."
Rolling your eyes, fun-sized Tanaka led the guest to his carriage.
"I hope you remember what you said, I barely caught anything."
Smirking, he picked the pen up and put his glasses on, "Of course, what kind of butler would I be?"
~
Sebastian was sitting on the steps leading to the garden. A black cat was in his grasp purring with its eyes closed, content with the attention it was receiving. The cat's nose twitched as it caught your scent revealing its wine eyes to you, you smiled at it and it clawed its way from under Sebastian.
"Salem," you cooed
A deep purr came from him as it walked around your heels.
"You named him Salem?"
Smiling up at Sebastian, you nodded, "It suits him, no?"
He got up dusting his uniform off kneeling to pet the cat nuzzling itself between your ankles, his hand under its chin, "Yes I believe it does."
You got the idea from the book of demons. It gave you some names, but Salem was too pretty to be considered demonic in your opinion. Sebastian's face dropped and he sighed, "Can a butler get no peace around here?" he stood up while you raised an eyebrow. He tucked a strand of hair behind your ear. "How many times must I tell you about your hair."
Grinning you teased the butler, "I leave it since you seem to like fixing it so much." Chuckling he went inside probably to tend to the young master. You had quite a lot of free time today so you decided to indulge Salem a bit more with a walk through the garden. He purred at your heels as he stalked behind you, trying to paw at your dress. "What are you trying to get at?" he jumped onto a ledge sniffing the air. "Perhaps you smell this?" you pulled out a piece of fish from your pocket and a small bottle of milk, nothing much. He nibbled the fish from out of the palm of your hand and drank from the cover of the bottle some milk you poured. You kept pouring in intervals while he lapped it all up with his tongue he purred deeply in thanks winding his way under your hand. "Sebastian, I know you're there."
"I was as silent as the dead Y/n," he stepped out from behind a corner and came to pet the cat again.
"It's easy to tell when you're here," you shrugged. It was more a sense of someone watching you, but not in a creepy, unnerving way. He gave a closed eye smile.
'Great...what do I have to do now?'
~
Mey-rin Mey-rin Mey-rin... once again she mixed up the shoe polish and the wax and who has to clean it up? You, of course. You wanted to go back to your room and read up more on demons, not only were they fascinating but you believed Sebastian to be one. You merely needed to be sure and needed to prove it. Everyone else was outside while you saw no need to trouble yourself with witnessing someone get their picture taken, you began to work. About a half-hour passed when you got half the staircase done before your arms ached and decided to take what was supposed to be a 5-minute break. You were sitting there slouched unbuttoning the back of your uniform and rotating your shoulders. After a minute or two, you dozed off and fell asleep. Unbeknownst to you, a certain butler caught you fast asleep at the foot of the stairs. Your hair was slightly dishevelled and your sleeve rolled off your shoulder exposing your bare skin. Smirking, he had the infamous camera in his hand looking back and forth between you and it. He slid his gloved finger over your skin up to your neck and tucked a strand of hair behind your ear. You began to stir as he caressed your cheek and your eyes started to flutter open. Fully awake now you saw no one there. Stretching you buttoned back up your uniform and painstakingly finished Mey-rin's screw up.
~
The very next morning you were trying to do your morning routine. Grabbing your towels and uniform, you opened your door to make your way to the tub in the bathroom across the hall from you, but you stepped on something matte. Upon closer inspection, it was a photo of you asleep by the stairs and Sebastian knelt behind you looking over you. You would've been touched if it wasn't for the fact that the person who appears has to be oh I don't know- DEAD. Flinging your things along with the photo back into your room you went to track down Sebastian. Not caring about what you're about to face, you walked around quite boldly in your nightgown looking for him. "Y/n? What are you doing walking in the manor in your nightgown?" A smirking Sebastian was leaned against the wall at the end of the corridor, marching up to him you had the nerve to send your open palm flying to his face, impractical to do so since he seized your wrist. "You dared to take a picture of me."
"It was your fault for falling asleep on the job. I should have that taken out of your pay."
"That camera only shows the dead. Yet here you are corporeal and if I pricked you, you'll bleed red like any other man. Your skills are impeccable, you're so perfect it's not humanly possible. What are you, and don't tell me you're one hell of a butler, I want a straight answer from you," your glare could pierce a dragon's hide and his grip tightened slightly as he backed you up into the wall putting his forearm above your head.
"You know the answer, so what's the point of asking?"
You couldn't believe it, as you lived and breathed he was standing in front of you plain as day. "A demon" you breathed out. A smile made its way across his face. He didn't frighten you, you were shocked and fascinated by him.
"Yes, I knew you'd figure it out sooner or later. What started to give me away?" he let go of your hand and grabbed your chin. "I'm interested."
"Your eyes," you said breathless and still in shock. He fake pouted, "Is that all?"
"For one, you're perfect in everything that you do. Honestly, pulling an entire tablecloth off while there were things there that if you walked by too hard it'd fall over. Anytime during a case when someone was being caught or when the young master's life was in grave danger I would get knocked out. He avoided explaining every time. You seemed to be fine when dealing with Finny's strength, no human could ever deal with that so how could you? Then this confirmed it, that camera shows the dead Sebastian, a demon is neither living nor dead."
"My my and a book was all that you needed."
"Which you put there right? Sepi Miskaon? Really, the Finnish version of your name?"
Sebastian's smirk confirmed it. "Well, the name is just a coincidence. I did not write the book."
"Why me?" your heart was beating fast, anxious for his answer. You wanted something for your fingers to do, not wanting them to give away your nervousness. You finally tucked his hair behind his ear instead of him tucking yours. "Your soul is exquisite. If I didn't want to taint you so bad I would have pursued your soul after the young master. Intoxicating as you are, you're fragile even for a human. It's like shattering crystal it has so many different breaking points."
You were speechless. He makes something so devilishly cruel sound so sweet. "So I'm for your amusement?"
"Not necessarily no. I can't get rid of this feeling when I'm around you. Demons don't feel anything as trivial as this. It's sickly to my aesthetics, but I can't help it. I don't desire you for your soul." The poor man- or demon, he looked so helpless as he looked away, you could almost cry or laugh or- you were so emotional. Taking a deep breath you calmed your voice, "Don't act coy with me." He looked back at you with those damned eyes, you quickly cleared your throat and looked away in embarrassment. Judging from the soft light cast on the floor the sun was just barely coming up.
"Show me," he looked at you with wide eyes, you obviously caught him off guard. "Show me your true self."
He chuckled continually amused by you, "Then permit me to mark you." It was as if the sun had been extinguished, the air grew chilled and his elegant facade began to slip away. You were in awe when you saw his horns and longer hair. He was relatively taller and a shadow of black feathers rained down on you tickling your face and made you giggle. You had to tiptoe to run your hands over his face and horns as he began to change back.
"Beautiful," you breathed out as his fangs shrunk back. He inched near your face, and you closed your eyes and awaited his kiss. It was cold and perfect against your hot skin, he began undoing your buttons, your heart jumped nervously with each pop and he gently slid it halfway down your shoulders. He broke the kiss and turned you around. The top half of your back was exposed, and he trailed butterfly kisses.
"No human has ever called my true form that," he whispered softly, he lingered on a spot on your left side and bit down. He grabbed your mouth as you cried out in pain and tears stung your eyes, you felt an uncomfortable burning sensation as you tensed. You could feel yourself going limp like a doll in his arms which were supporting you by your waist at this point.
"You might need a little ice on that kitten." His closed eye smile was given, yet you still wanted to slap it off him. "Mmm" was all you can mutter as he escorted you back to your room. It extracted so much energy from you that you didn't even want your bath anymore, you just laid there waiting for Sebastian to fetch the ice. It was going to be a long day but something was nagging you, you looked over at the book on your desk and remembered.
Demons can't love.

Chapter Text
Your eyes popped open.
'Crap'
You jumped up looking at the time, a half-hour late.
Tying on your apron and your tossing your shoes on and frantically trying your hair up you stopped short remembering what happened.
'Mark me?'
You went up to your mirror and pulled it down to show a small portion of your back. A black mark was there as it were apart of your skin the whole time. A star entangled in a bed of thorns, it wasn't huge but it was still noticeable. Normally you'd freak, but you guessed it was a demons way of saying your theirs. Now is a different type of freak, now is a Sebastian is going to have your head for being late kind of freak.
You ran into the kitchen looking around for Sebastian who was putting the dishes from the young masters' breakfast in the sink. "So you decide to join us."
You stood at the door. "You could've prevented that if you had woken me when you got the ice."
"I saw no need. You'd do your chores and today is quite a slow day anyway the master has no guests." You walked over to wash the dishes since you didn't want a pileup tonight. Turning on the water you began to wash the dishes. "Oh look at you, simply a mess." He unbuttoned your uniform and buttoned it correctly since you put the buttons in the wrong holes. He ran his fingers through your hair and placed it in a tight bun and straightened your bonnet. You had just turned off the water and were wiping the counter when you gasped sharply and grabbed the edge of the counter till your knuckles paled from losing blood so quick. Sebastian was tightening your corset, and with every pull drew a gasp from your diaphragm as tears threatened to wet your cheeks.
"Sebastian is this really necessary?" you never pulled your strings too tight knowing what they did to women. "Oh, I'm sorry. Not everyone wears them so tight it seems," he loosened it letting you breathe. "I still have to understand how women are... they're different creatures compared to the male counterpart."
"Bahaha!! Sure Sebastian, if males are still beyond your reach, women are intangible. Seduction doesn't work on every woman," you laughed at him, and he pressed up against you and lowered his head into the crook of your neck, making you go silent.
"Oh? It doesn't?" he purred in your ear. His hands on either side of you came up to your waist.
"Not on me dear."
You turned around facing Sebastian taking the rag and drying your hands. "I propose a contest. Since you say seduction doesn't work on you. Give me two weeks to try. I would do it sooner, but the young lord hasn't had a case in weeks, I feel something coming on."
"What do I win if you fail to seduce me?" He smirked arrogantly at you while you unrolled your sleeves, "I wouldn't get too attached to your prize Y/n."
"Why?"
"I'm simply, one hell of a butler."
~
"Y/nnnn," Mey-rin was calling you.
"Yes, what is it? AND STOP RUNNING!" She slowed down, panting a little. "The young master wants you in his office he does. Where were you this morning?"
You smiled ruefully, "Ask Sebastian..." you muttered.
Making your way to the young master's study, you knocked and heard a come in. "Mey-rin said you sent for me?"
"I did," he looked annoyed. Sebastian was standing by the edge of the desk looking at you. You paid him no mind as the young master spoke.
"Sebastian has informed me of your newfound knowledge. He also told me of your mark and what it will do. I only ask - no, demand two things of you, both of you," he gave a scornful look to Sebastian. "You will keep this to yourself I do not believe you are foolish Y/n, and you two will keep this relationship of yours civil in front of me. I will not tolerate either of you falling behind on your duties. Am I understood?"
"Perfectly."
"Yes, my Lord."
Exiting the room Sebastian pinned you to the wall, "Did you not just hear what the master said?"
He flicked your forehead, "Did you? He said not in front of him kitten."
The both you of stifled a laugh as you heard the young lord groan from inside the room. You were definitely sure he heard that.

Chapter 13: His Butler, Freeloader
Notes:
(See the end of the chapter for notes.)
December 1887~
It is now winter in London, after Jack the Ripper was...one would say evicted, London was peaceful soon after the incident. Temporary for the Guard Dog, per usual. While the rest of the servants enjoyed the snow back at the townhouse, you and Sebastian accompanied the young lord on yet another case.
Englishmen who have recently returned from India have been assaulted, stripped, and hung upside down with a threatening note attached. The public looked on in fear, women shielded their eyes their mouths opened in horror, men shook their heads in fake grief. Grabbing a paper out of Sir Randall's hand who had been mocking the young master earlier, you gave it to him to read. Enraged at you he growled earning him a fake smile, just to piss him off even more. You never understood why he had a problem with the young lord, he did, after all, get rid of the more difficult cases. There have been recordings of at least twenty of these incidents, "Watch this, you wild, pathetic chosen children of sloth and depravity. England is the motherhood of the devil. It steals everything and forces its worthless, rotten, and decadent culture on you instead! To all the bitch-dominated idiots of this land, you are the ones that deserve the vengeance of Heaven! Now, the day has come!" the young lord read aloud. "And a tongue on the bottom. This causes quite a bit of grief for Her Majesty. Naturally, she's asked me to investigate, I had better get a move on before the Yard decides to act," he smirked at the man whose face was turning red due to his resentment. "We'll have a walk down through the East End, Scotland Yard doesn't know the area too well it seems. Come you two."
"Cheeky little brat..." You turned around to glare at the commissioner only to realize you've walked quite a few feet away. There was no way you could've heard that. "Problem Y/n?" the young lord asked. "No my lord."
~
Walking down the East End in the section where the bulk of the Indians had settled, no one seemed troublesome... that is until someone bumped into the young lord. Grabbing his torso he groaned rather loudly, "Oh I've cracked a rib, I could die from this." His thick accent carried throughout the street attracting more Indians. "What happened?" a bystander asked.
"He should be punished- "
"Excuse me!" Before a fight could ensue another Indian came by. He was well dressed draped in rich colours of white, blue, and maroon. "Have you seen this woman?" Another well dressed Indian, not as lavishly dressed as the first held a picture up of a terrible drawing of what was supposed to be a profile of who he was looking for. "Oh, are you fellows having a duel? I must side with my countrymen. Come Agni! Defeat the Englishman."
"Jo Aagya."
"Stay behind me," Sebastian said as Agni came lunging at him. Agni threw hits at him quickly, so fast all Sebastian could do was block. The rest of the men enclosed you and the young lord.
"Picking on a lady and a little kid, how cowardly of you." the young master spluttered at the words "little kid" and you whipped out your blade and held it with the sharp side facing you.
"I assume you're armed my lord, just don't shoot to kill."
"Hmph, are you now giving me orders Y/n?" he smirked at your boldness.
"Hey, you're armed that's not a fair fight," the well dressed Indian stated, pausing the fight making everyone turn to face the young lord. "We were doing nothing more than walking down the street. Are you all barbarians who will attack anyone who merely passes you?!" The man hummed in confusion, "Is it true men, you attacked this kid for no good reason?" They all fidgeted in their spot not making eye contact. "Apparently my countrymen are wrong, come Agni we are on the Englishman's side."
"Right."
Let's just say it didn't end well for them, all unconscious regretting their choice to pick a fight. "Well kid, I have someone to look for, goodbye," he tossed back the young lords hat which had fallen off at some unknown point and walked off with his servant. That was the most awkward fight that ever occurred, it left the young lord annoyed though. After informing the Yard of the men who attacked, the three of you went to the townhouse in London.
"Welcome back Master," Finny's soft sweet voice greeted your ears making you smile. Back in the warmth of the house and the people in it. Sighing as you took off his coat and hung it up Sebastian noted that he'll prepare some tea.
Knock-Knock
"Uh-"
"Hello, Earl so nice to see you again." Mr. Lau entered as cheerful as ever. "How many times must I tell you to send a note first?" Irked the young lord placed his fingertips on his forehead shaking his head. "I'll prepare tea for the guest as well my lord."
"Fine whatever."
"Perhaps Chai rather than Earl Grey?" suggested Mr. Lau.
The young lord hummed in response as he turned his attention to who was behind Mr. Lau. "You two again?!"
The two well dressed Indians from before were standing in the doorway as if they were waiting to be admitted, a few snowflakes drifting in along with the cold air making you shiver. The man states that, in India, it is common to welcome benefactors. Since he "saved" the three of you from the other Indians earlier that day, he casually invited himself in to stay for the night. Agni moves to prepare tea, leaving Sebastian stunned. "Oh, Mr. Agni you are guests, please allow me."
He turned smiling to Sebastian. "Please no, it would be my pleasure." He had a confused smile on his face as Agni took off to the kitchen leaving his rather arrogant master to prance around the townhouse. "Normally people in my country greet guests on a bed." Running upstairs the young master yelled to him, "Who said you were a guest?!" Marching upstairs the hot-headed young lord with all his servants in tow, slammed the door open nearly knocking it off its hinges he yelled some more. "And just who the hell do you think you are?!" A scowl rested on his face as he stared at the man casually laying on the bed.
"Who am I? Why I am a prince."
"Please extend your warmest welcome to my master the Prince of Bengal, Prince Soma Asman Kadar." Agni's voice scared the crap out of all of you as he squeezed past you all to serve tea to his master. "Chai with ginger goes well on this cold day highness."
The servants crowded around the prince evidently fascinated by him. "Wow, I've never seen a prince up close before. This Bengal place sounds amazing." You smacked your forehead with your palm, "You work for an Earl, there's no difference besides rank on the social ladder." All the excessive bickering did nothing for the young lords nerves.
"GET OUT!!!"

When He Raises His Hand to You
Request: Hi, um this is my first time requesting, I would like for U if you could, do Sebastian, Claude, undertaker, and maybe Ciel, how they got into an argument, and the guy ends up raising their hand and might look like they might slap them because they were mad, their beloved is feared of them for a while or in that moment? uh, the them I suppose is angst with some comfort at the end, I've had a rough day, so I need depression with comfort, If U don't want to do this, I totally respect your wishes.
Title: When He Raises His Hand to You
Genre: mostly angst, little sliver of comfort at the end of each character portion
Pairing: Sebastian Michealis/Ciel Phantomhive/Undertaker X GN!Reader (separate)
Notes: Hey! I'm so sorry about this, but I don't write for Claude, so I stuck to the other three that were requested. Otherwise, I also decided to roll with headcanons for the format - the short descriptions would help the reader interpret the written in a way more similar to their situation, I think.
That said, I will warn any reader now: this does deal with traumatic events such as previous abuse and intense anxiety. If either of those makes you uncomfortable or is a trigger for you, I recommend reading something else. If you decided to read, please do so with caution.
Either way, I hope all readers enjoy it - and that it can possibly make your days better.

Sebastian Michaelis
on a normal day, he’s gonna be cool as a cucumber
seriously
it would have to be an absolutely A W F U L day for him to even raise his voice at you, much less his hand
but today was one of the aforementioned days about ten times over
you had dropped by the Phantomhive manor to aid your family
your initial time spent with him was limited
you had to crack down and get to business with ciel
seriously, the two of you were notorious for being thrown together to solve cases
but that wasn’t what bothered sebastian
he was normally able to handle you working
but it just seemed like everyone was trying to get on his nerves today
mey-rin broke a good portion of the manor china, managed to flood the laundering area, and was seemingly even more inept at cleaning
finnian poisoned a large portion of the garden and seasonal flowers with one go, proceeded to call for sebastian to fix it, and then destroyed not only another portion of the garden but also the shed in which they kept all of the required tools needed
and bardroy burnt the kitchen. again. for the fifth time today.
this isn’t even accounting for the multitude of times in which grell came by to crash the manor and their endeavors to uncover any evidence
bringing along the other reapers
and the times that day in which they had completed work to present to you with the undertaker in which sebastian needed to attempt multiple times to get him to laugh
it was, overall, a stressful day
and he really wanted to relax with you
given ciel’s discretion, of course, but he knew you were a reasonable person and patience was something that you had in spades when it came to sebastian and his work
he would be able to do that later that night, though
you specifically requested have sebastian stay with you once the busyness at the manor slowed
and, after a few hours that felt like a good few weeks to sebastian passed, you were able to
you were trying to relax by candlelight and admire the images that were present on the walls surrounding you
sebastian was trying to put ciel to bed and make sure that the rest of the servants were asleep
“young master, is there anything else you require of me before you rest for the night?”
“i think that will be all, sebastian. possibly if you could review any documents that may need reviewing with y/n, though. that would be great.”
“or course, young master. rest well.”
he met up with you not long after putting ciel to bed, and as you were roaming, he was trying to remain calm.
this never usually happened.
he usually had everything under control.
he usually had his head upright and logic straight.
but tonight, for once, he wanted to - needed to - relax
sadly, while he couldn’t really relax, he at least was with you
well, he thought he was
until you caught wind of an event occurring in your own manor
and you were reccommended to leave within the coming few hours
that was the last straw for sebastian.
“darling, i normally attempt to allow you to attend to your own events and needs, but i only wish to request that you stay here for the moment.”
“sebastian, i’m quite sorry, but this is important. i must attend to it quickly. i promise you that it won’t take long, not in the slightest.”
“darling, if i may-”
“sebastian, i’m so, terribly, sorry-”
“darling-”
“i must be on my way-”
“no. it was said that you could leave come the morning.”
“i’m quite worried, though-”
“darling, i must ask you to stay calm and relax here for the night.”
“but business calls-”
“ignore it. i’ve had quite the stressful day, and all i request is that i do not be denied time spent alone with the one human i can tolerate.”
he only slightly raised his voice then, yet you were still chilled.
not enough to back down, though
“sebastian, please-”
“y/n, dear. you are staying here for the night.”
“no, i must go-”
you stood up, rushing to reach your room for the night
sebastian regarded your leave, grabbing your arm
“please, sebastian-”
“no, darling-”
“i quite clearly said. NO.”
“sebastian-”
his fists were clenching, something you failed to see, but nonetheless
“please, darling-”
“i must leave-”
he pulled you by your arm and quickly, oh so quickly
he raised his other hand
it wasn’t by much, not by much at all
but it was so sudden, so shocking, and so uncharacteristic of him
it left you shaken
you stared at his gloved hand, mouth agape
memories came back to you, almost tenfold
some of your past with your adoptive parents
some of your past with your biological and deceased parents
some of the orphanage owners that you lived with
a gloved hand, to you, was something that often terrified you
and, in that moment, sebastian was no longer sebastian
he was your father, your adoptive mother, and your previous caretaker all at once
hand raised, brow furrowed, and eyes wide
the sight was bloodcurdling to you
tears clouded your vision and you backed away, resorting to running from the current room you were in and locking the door
sebastian had lowered his hand upon seeing your facial expression
but, despite him trying to process what had just occurred and the emotion that came with it, he was only trying to configure the aftermath
he knew you had locked the door, really
and though he had the key to enter if need be, he left you alone.
he wouldn’t want you to be so awfully scared that you would fear for your wellbeing after this point
he would approach you after you have settled what you need
you would be returning to the manor after everything has been worked out, and he’d ask tanaka to lead you to your carriage
of course, while advising ciel of his actions and your dilemma
so, in that time, he would have to process the regret
the true, honest regret
and come to terms with what had happened as well as what he is to say and do to fix the situation as best as he could
and so, come the next day, he was alreayd prepared
ciel had been the one to greet you, and tanaka was the one who led you into the manor at you next visit
and while you saw sebastian, you were still hesitant to talk to him
you knew that he meant no real harm towards you, that it simply was a spurred reaction
but that didn’t make it much better at all.
ciel had been the one to chew out the servants for screwing things up so awfully that day, so they really straightened out and quick
so they had been on their best behavior for the time that you were away, and still had been
sebastian had been given a break, and tanaka had been temporarily appointed the caretaker for the phantomhive child
ciel really, truly saw you as someone to respect, so he made sure that you would be fine and that sebastian felt guilt for it
it wasn’t until nightfall came that you talked to sebastian
it took some time to muster the energy to do it, but it was done nonetheless
he had approached you and held out a hand, which you obliged
he gave it a light kiss, meant to signify a simple apology
you knew how formal he could be, and he never really did this after an event such as the one that recently occurred unless he was instructed to find information
so this was slightly shocking, but it calmed you down.
“darling, i do apologize for my atrocious behavior during the last time we were alone.”
“no, no - you did it as an impulse reaction, nothing more. you wouldn’t hurt me.”
he chuckled just the slightest at that statement, but guided you to a nearby seat.
a candle was lit on a shelf not far away from said seat, and it smelled faintly of (favorite/scent).
it was an apology silently accepted as you sat beside the tall man and shared a conversation.
the following times that he was bothered, he made sure to avoid letting any anger reach him as best as he could
(that, or he took it out on grelle if she just so happened to be in the vicinity of wherever he happened to be)
(sometimes, he even ended up beating the red-headed reaper in front of you)
(ciel would always scowl, you’d always giggle a little. it was funny, so-)
Tumblr media
Undertaker
this guy.
okay.
with undertaker, i don’t think he would raise his hand unless something positively huge was compromised.
he can get serious, yes.
it can get intimidating, yes.
but the thing is...he isn’t particularly violent unless pushed so far that that’s the only course of action.
(dude’s an xntp of some kind, logic and ideas are way higher than kicking and fighting when things go wrong)
that said, i think this would have to do with him planning his resurrection idea
that, and/or putting it into action.
specifically during book of atlantic, or right before.
it would probably be during the planning stage, and i have a feeling that work would manage to get to him
he is a reaper, and he does have emotions, so it isn’t like he wouldn’t be even a little stressed about this.
that, and he needs someone to help put that plan into action.
he didn’t manage to reach his partner, and you?
yeah, you were completely and totally unaware of his plan, much less aware of his whole idea.
you only knew that he was doing something, and you assumed it to be his normal work.
he was busy, as always.
but, you knew that he also needed a break from time to time.
again, he’s a reaper - he needs to function like a normal human to do acts that a human is almost completely unable to do.
so, using what was available, you made him a snack.
it wasn’t much, no. not much at all, but it was something.
you had a plate in hand, taking it to a door to the undertaker’s office
knocking gently, you heard his voice ring.
“who could possibly be knocking on my study door?”
you laughed, shaking your head and setting the plate you held on the ground.
“tis merely a burglar, darling. they happened to drop a snack by for you, as well.”
“ha ha! well, i appreciate the burglar’s efforts!”
and this followed as habit for days
which then turned to weeks
which then turned to months
which caused you to get a little pissed.
your partner wasn’t responding to your efforts, he wasn’t even opening the door in front of you.
if this was just a portion of his normal job, then why is he being so secretive?
so, tired and annoyed, you did what you would normally do.
bring him food
(again, still a reaper.)
and instead of just dropping it by the door like usual, you knocked and stood there
“whoever may be here at this hour?”
“yet again, a burglar, darling. i do think we need to focus more on our security.”
“ah, and may they perchance have food readied?”
“why, yes they do. they do wish that their target would meet them to flaunt their loot.”
silence.
you knew it would happen.
he doesn’t respond to this well, but you usually calm him down.
this? totally different story.
“well, my apologies dear burglar, but i’m unable to do so. would you please leave the plate beside my door and i’ll provide a gift of thanks tomorrow?”
you breathed in deep, knocking again.
you heard the old wooden chair that he kept in his study move when you didn’t reply.
some footsteps echoed as best as they could, but that was it.
until the lock became undone.
the door didn’t open, no, but the lock became undone
so, angry and worried, you stormed inside
“undertaker, darling, take a break.”
he cleared his throat and sat still enough
still enough to warrant some fear
“please, you need to rest and i’m sure that this endeavor of yours can wait.”
slowly, slowly, oh so slowly he stood
and finally looked at you
you remembered seeing his eyes before, but now?
there was a fire in them that scared you senseless
“darling, if i may, i’m quite busy-”
“and you’re failing to care for your health. you never seem to listen when i have to remind you-”
“now-”
“-that you can’t thrive off of what is essentially spite and drive-”
“(y/n), my dear-”
two steps closer.
“-simply because you wish to. may i remind you-”
“darling, i might advise you to calm down-”
“-you are not a demon nor one of those damned creatures referred to as angels, you are simply a-”
“darling...”
another two steps
“-reaper. you are a reaper, and you need rest just as much as the rest of us humans do, so-”
“(y/n), there is a fine line here...”
“-not just for my sake, but for yours, take. a break.”
“i cannot!”
for the first time in a long time, he raised his voice to you.
“this is business that you are not to be associated with, and it requires my utmost attention.”
his voice boomed through the walls
“with your ‘care’, i seem to be getting less work done by the second.”
he stepped closer with every word he uttered
“so, if i may say, you are being quite obnoxious-”
“i’m only trying to assure your health, reaper or not-”
“ENOUGH!”
his hand came up quickly
you flinched back just as he did so, terror overtaking you
you gulped as you stepped back, setting the food on a table nearby the exit of the study
silence rang louder than he ever did in that moment
tension rose, very obviously so
“alright then. i’ll be out of your way if that’s what you think.”
you pushed your chest up, raised your head, and proceeded to turn your back to him
“i’ll be leaving then.”
and you left
he sighed, sulking hsi way back to his seat
he was staring through his fingers at the copious amounts of work present on his desk
shame was everything he could comprehend.
you, on the other hand, took to roaming the town.
waving to the townsfolk that you knew and vice versa, sharing slight conversation with those that you could say you were friendly with
you even ran into grell when walking past the nearby church
“ah, hello, (y/n) my dear!”
“hello, grell.”
she noticed your attitude as soon as you spoke.
nothing could slip past her
“what happened, dear? do you wish to talk about it?”
you shook your head
“i’d prefer if we just took a stroll around. i need to clear my mind.”
so you did.
small talk was exchanged, and she told you of her issues in the workplace
stories about how overtime was exhausting, complaining about being ridiculed for the event with madam red by will, even about how people in the office were outright insufferable
it got a slight laugh out of you
even when she would bring up her advances towards the phantomhive butler, you listened and let her talk
it was relaxing, but you couldn’t help but feel a little dejected still
your partner just raised his hand to you even though you were trying to make sure that his health wasn’t suffering
yes, you were being a tad bit obnoxious, but it wasn’t out of malice
it was merely worry for him
the night fell not long after, and being courteous, grell walked you home
“rest well, darling! i shall see you again soon!”
you smiled slightly, “of course, grell. i wish the same to you. good night.”
and you slowly walked into the undertaker’s shop, trudging to the small flat that you both lived in hesitantly
when you entered, undertaker was located in the kitchen area staring at a cup of tea in his hand
creaking was heard upon your entry, and his head darted up to face you
you sniffed, turned away, and went to hang your coat
“may i inquire what it is you need, undertaker?”
he cleared his throat, and though you couldn’t see it, directed his gaze to the warm liquid in front of him
“i apologize for my actions earlier.”
you sighed, turning back to him and waiting patiently.
“it was impulse, particularly one that i’m not fond of. you were simply making sure that i was well taken care of, and i took it for granted.”
“mmm. alright then.”
approaching him, you brushed a stray hair from his shoulder
“i accept your apology, though i will say that i do not apologize for my intent. i apologize for my persistence, though - it was quite rude for me to barge in on your work.”
a simple little moment was shared in silence in that moment
he sipped his tea, you stood by and made dinner for the both of you
“do you wish to work again tonight, my dear?”
“not quite. rather, i’d wish to relax with a good book.”
you gently smiled, nodding and reaching for silverware and napkins to prepare the table with him
Tumblr media
Ciel Phantomhive
ciel here is a bit of an enigma
we know he is usually calm and collected, b u t
he’s still a child.
his emotions are going to be all over the place, and him raising his hand to someone was depicted
(in regards to lizzy breaking his ring)
so this wouldn’t necessarily be normal, but it also wouldn’t be something that isn’t a plausible reaction (sadly)
but, for the sake of this, let’s say that ciel is almost 18.
business for funtom was getting tiring, and it seemed that every case he was being thrown was harder than the last
his lessons were getting more plentiful, the servants were wreaking havoc around the manor - more so than usual
a guest was to join you and him at the manor tonight
and, finally, daily annoyances were starting to get to him
he couldn’t even sit through a game of chess.
you had been staying at the manor for the summer months, as your family knew his quite well since you were children
(you two were close, so your staff was caring for your manor while you were away)
(you still had your personal servant with you, though)
you had been trying to play against him, but as much as he tried, the most energy he could muster was used to complain and sigh in dejection
it left you feeling a little off, but you knew how he could get.
“do you need some time alone, ciel?”
“hmm? oh, uh...if you wouldn’t mind...though i do apologize in advance.”
you smiled and shook your head
“no problem! whenever you need me, i’ll be in the manor. somewhere.”
so, you left.
and with that, chaos seemed to hit him harder.
the servants were getting more lax, driving him (and sebastian, but more so him) up a wall
and grell decided it would be a good idea to infiltrate the manor and ‘relax’
translation: annoy the living hell of out sebastian and himself
case after case was being sifted through, and despite his intelligence, ciel could swear he could feel his brain losing its functionality
add that onto the extra work that sebastian provided for the day (seeing as it was one that was much less busy than others) and...
you’ve got a pissed off phantomhive.
night rolled around, and with that, so did the arrival of the guests.
it also meant that there was going to be some intermingling
and chaos, as always.
dinner was stressful.
mey-rin had been instructed to only set the table - 1. by. 1., as per sebastian - and pour the wine
but she had slipped.
again.
ciel sighed, but sent a look towards sebastian.
finny didn’t do anything outright outrageous, but upon the reminder that the dinner event was tonight, he tried to fix up a portion of the garden.
it didn’t work.
the portion was completely black. no clue how, it happened though.
and sebastian had warned ciel, so it was supposed to be blocked off.
sadly, though, once the dinner itself had ended and the intermingling began, people were adamant
‘i’ve heard wonderful things about your gardens, mr phantomhive!’
‘the flowers here supposedly bloom much more beautifully than elsewhere.’
that wasn’t uncommon.
so they of course had to see the garden.
it was a game of cat and mouse, keeping the guests from the destroyed area.
you, ciel, and sebastian were acting as mice in that scenario
and by the end of the night, as desserts were being left
bardroy had burned the kitchen down.
a g a i n.
ciel had about had it.
sebastian was able to keep a more level head, thankfully, and got him to calm down just the slightest.
though he was just as pissed.
that said, though, things did get worked out
and the cleaning process was almost insufferable
again, after being knocked to the side, grell decided to try again.
ciel had it at that point.
he had stormed to his office, almost looking like a child throwing a hissy fit.
you noticed this and immediately trailed him
“ciel, is everything alright?”
“i’m fine.”
“you’re mad, you’re not exactly fine.”
“you heard me the first time, y/n.”
“yes, i did. and i don’t believe you.”
by this point, you two had made it to his office and were getting heated
“well, darling, might be good for you to believe me.”
“no, i don’t think so. you’re mad, i can tell, the guests could tell - everyone here knows.”
“no, not a single occupant knows.”
you sighed, shook your head and took a deep breath before speaking.
“ciel, you’re mad. livid, even. that’s fine. but you need to discuss it.”
“no, i don’t. i’m not mad.”
you step closer to him.
“yes, you are and you need to talk. things are different now, ciel. you don’t have to hide anything from me.”
another step closer.
“y/n, this is fine. it’s fine. it is merely a normal occurrence.”
“normal occurrence, maybe - but no matter, you are mad. and stressed. that’s easy to see.”
another step.
“you’ve gotten tense, you haven’t even been able to sit through a game of chess.”
and another.
“you were constantly glaring, and couldn’t even fake small talk with the guests tonight.”
and another.
“just sit down for a second...”
one more.
“take a deep breath or two...”
you were in front of him now, reaching for his hair to brush it away from his eyes.
“and then we can ta-”
his arm seemed to raise instantaneously.
had ot not been for sebastian getting there in time, who knows what would have happened.
either way, you were shaken.
no tears, you knew he could get worked up and resort to moronic actions
but this was only slightly unexpected.
you nodded, backing away and taking a deep breath
“fair enough. i’ll wait until you’ve leveled out, ciel.”
giving your awareness to the tall butler, you retreated to your personal room for the summer and called for your servant to help you get into your night clothes
you went to sleep that night with a head full of thoughts.
he had never gotten violent with you, until tonight, that is
and he had always been upfront.
was it stress?
was it simply anger?
or was this a sensitive time for him in general?
these questions plagued you
as they plagued ciel, as well
it had been a pretty intense day, mostly due to the copious amounts of events and documentation that needed to be done
but that doesn’t excuse his actions.
he knew that you would listen, you’ve done it before.
multiple times, you would sit and listen and provide input whenever - and it always seemed to be at the right time.
he truly messed up, and he knew it.
he just didn’t quite know how to verbalize it
“young lord, if i may suggest something, it would be best to get to the point.”
sebastian was helping ciel to bed at this point, and even he was about tired of tonight.
“and how would you suggest that i do that?”
ciel waited as sebastian hummed
“they’re reasonable. waht you have to say, they’ll listen. just be honest with them, young lord.”
humming himself, ciel sent sebastian off once situated in bed for the night and stewed over what to say.
the next morning, you and ciel were seated at different ends of the dining area table
the aura was tense - enough to know something was wrong, but not enough to know exactly what it was.
ciel cleared his throat after sipping his tea, brushing his pants before looking at you
“y/n, i owe you an apology.”
you raised a brow, but straightened yourself in your seat and gestured for him to proceed.
“it was wrong of me to raise my hand. i was livid, i was also stressed, but that is no excuse,.”
your gaze softened just the slightest.
he was tense, again, and almsot fumbling to put together a sentence.
likely about why his reaction occurred.
“we can get into the details later, ciel. i appreciate the apology. you don’t have to tell me why if you don’t wish to.”
and from then on, the day slowly got better.
sebastian even gave ciel a break, keeping papers from him and cutting his classes for the day.
you two had finally managed to reconcile, going on multiple little adventures in the manor itself.
looking through all of the books in the library at the manor, going through the garden, even venturing through the woods beside the manor (being trailed by your servants, of course.)
essentially, everything came to a better end than beginning (considering the ‘beginning’ was the previous night)
he also managed to keep himself in check following the event.
(it shocked you, how well he adjusted)
(seriously.)
(ciel managed to keep everything together, even when the day was worse than the event that caused it).
(it also shocked sebastian, to be frank.)
(but you weren’t complaining - you were connecting with him better!)

Is it possible to request fluffy sub Shane/Sebastian (Stardew Valley) with top male reader? The bullet style maybe (forgot the style) :
Top doesn’t really apply here because this is nonsexual but this is going to be a more...confident? Reader. I don’t know how else to describe it because I’m very tired but thank you for requesting the only two Stardew Valley characters I’ve ever married.
Shane:
Thank god one of you is taking charge.
He does! And He can! Sometimes. Especially as he starts to get a better feel for himself in recovery, but it’s also nice to know he can just rely on you tbh.
Shane’s always kind of needed someone to rely on who wouldn’t let him down, to use on relying on himself, and then beating himself up when he put so much on himself it was impossible for one person to handle
Also little spoon Shane? LITTLE SPOON SHANE!! Sure he’s a little out of shape, but he did play sports once. He’s got a great body shape AND he’s soft.
It kinda fits that you’re the more confident of the two of you. Early into your relationship Shane felt too badly about himself to make the first move really about...anything. He constantly thought along the lines of “Well why would he want to kiss ME” so every time you took the chance, kissing him yourself, it was a surprise to Shane. A reminder that you wanted him, wanted to be with him.
He became used to it.
Even after he became sure of himself and of the relationship, when he started kissing you himself, showing other displays of attention himself, it was still nice when you initiated.
Shane just needed a reminder sometimes that what you two had was the real deal, and you weren’t going to grow tired of him any time soon.
Sebastian:
Seb isn’t really shy, choosing to be a bit of a quiet loner type unless he’s with the people he feels the most comfortable around.
There’s nothing wrong with that.
In fact it’s what makes the two of you a better couple.
You’re the opposite of him. Loud and confident and you know what you want.
You help get him out of his shell, and he makes sure you don’t got too far over board and annoy anyone with your actions.
The two of you trade off who’s the big and little spoon offer.
After all everyone wants to feel held sometimes, right?
Sebastian’s a slimmer guy, and regardless of your own build, that makes it pretty easy for him to snuggle up against you in bed like he was made to be there.
When it comes to kisses you’re both pretty equal, although Sebastian seems hesitant with PDA.
A few times you’ve kissed him while in public, either out of excitement, or overwhelming love for him.
He always seems incredibly embarrassed after, dark red in the face, but if he ever really had a problem with it you’d stop.

Not So New Afterall (Sdv Sebastian x F!Reader)
A/n: I would say that to all the townspeople (Y/n) has met before her parting, she’d have at least 4 hearts with everyone, (minus the bachelors and bachelorettes who were not in the timeline) and 6 hearts with Robin, Sebastian, Abby, Caroline and Jodi.
(Lets just say Robin was good friends with grandpa and found his granddaughter a favorite)
(Caroline found her as a well-mannered and kind child when she was younger. She surely hasn’t changed her thoughts about the girl)
(Jodi always wanted a daughter and found (Y/n) a cute little baby, she really liked it when (Y/n) would come over to play with Sam and help her around the house, teaching Sam to do some housework) (the woman is fond of her)
CHAPTER SEVEN
Harvey grabbed (Y/n)’s wrist and felt her pulse. “Based on the blood she lost, she’ll need a blood transfusion! And the equipment is in the clinic!” the older male said, hoisting (Y/n) into his arms.
“I’ll need a person with her blood type or an O positive!” Harvey said as they rushed out of the cottage. “Does anyone have that blood type?”
‘Shoot!’ Sebastian thought to himself. He’s a darn A! They had no time to scan for her blood type. But he knew who has an O. “I know someone! !’ll go!” he called out before parting from the group.
The dark haired male was running down the stairs near the river before heading to the bridge near Joja mart. During certain days, the person he was searching for would be on the bridge till late.
And thank Yoba, these were on of the days.
He didn’t really want to talk to anyone, but he really didn’t have a choice.
‘But why are you doing this? For one girl?’ a voice at the back of his mind whispered. ‘You really aren’t like this. Why are you panicking so much?’
Sebastian stopped in his tracks, thinking about the voice. That was true. He isn’t one to help others. He mainly kept to himself. He’d usually be cool and wouldn’t talk much. Why was he panicking?
Was it because he hated the sight of her limp body?
Probably
He didn’t want to be burdened for his faults if he didn’t do anything but just left her body there.
Yeah, that was it.
“Hey, Seb!” Abigail called from the bridge, raising a hand to greet him over. “What’s with the frazzled look? You look like someone has been chasing you.”
“Abby,” he said as he came over. “You’re an O positive, right?” he asked, grabbing her arm.
The girl nodded, her face slightly flushing over the hold he had on her joint. Sebastian didn’t think much of it and immediately pulled her with him without an explanation.
“H-hey! Where are we going?” The purple-haired girl began to panic, but still followed the pace the male ran, keeping up with him easily.
This really wasn’t like him. He wasn’t one to panic. Why was he so energetic and loud today? He hasn’t been like this in....Abigail bit her lip as she thought. ‘In such a long time,’ the voice in her mind responded.
But taking in the sight of the clinic, she knew this wasn’t good. Did something happen to his mom? Did something happen to her family? Did...is this why he asked for her blood type?
She kept rambling all the possibilities until she never realized that they had burst into the clinic. But her thoughts stopped as she saw the new farmer on the hospital bed.
“Abigail!” Harvey called out, surprised that Sebastian knew her blood type. “Thank Yoba your blood is compatible with hers!”
Abigail stopped. Her hand falling limp from Sebastian’s grasp. Tears welled in her eyes.
“(Y/n)...?”
The said girl was laying motionless on the hospital bed, her skin pale as snow. Her eyes closed and breathing shallow. Her hair was out of its usual hairdo, leaving the strands of (h/c) messy around her face and head. Her shirt was removed to expose the the wound to Harvey, leaving on her underwear to preserve her modesty and also exposing the bruise she got from last night.
But the scar on her right shoulder,
It unlocked her self-sealed child memories.
Tears escaped her green eyes. “She’s alive...? After the accident? It’s the same (Y/n)?” she sobbed. Sebastian placed a warm hand on her shoulder.
“It’s her. She came back,” Sebastian said, a somber look crossing his eyes. “And this time, you need to help her.”
Abigail nodded as she stuck out her bare arm to Harvey. “Hook me up,” she said with determination, eyes still dripping with tears.
Abigail and Sebastian was sent to another room as the operation took place as everyone else was sent home since she needed to donate her blood. Sebastian was allowed to stay since he needed to accompany the purple-haired girl. Abigail was given a box of apple juice to help increase her glucose levels as she donated her blood to her former best friend.
Sebastian sat on the chair next to Abigail, is eyes blurred and tired as he looked down at the floor. The silence between them was heavy. Since Abigail had just remembered the dark tragedy of Pelican Town. Tears began to drip from her eyes once more.
“When did you know?” she asked Sebastian, her eyes looking down at the crisp white sheets of the clinic bed. He shrugged. “I...saw her scar, and at first it made no sense to me why I suddenly reacted to it. But then I think I thought of it too much, and...I dreamt of it,”
“No way. Did you like...have a nightmare or something?” Abigail told him, but he shook his head. “It’s not impossible if I woke up and everything rushed to my head in that instant,” he told her. “Plus, mom told me that it was true.”
“No way,” she chuckled. “She really came back, huh? At first I thought it was just...a person with a name that sounded familiar, but I thought it was just a common name. But that’s not the case anymore, it seems,” Abigail said with a smile. “After all we’ve done to her, she still came back here? Not to mention that we’re the ones that caused the accident.”
“It wasn’t you. It was me,” he said with a deep frown. “I really thought that she died, and I never registered what happened after. I even dared forget about her.”
“It’s not forgot. It’s...repressed memories and stuff when we were kids,” Abigail said, referring to one of the books she read during her classes. Sebastian nodded. “Extreme trauma would block out the memories in a way of coping with it.”
“But,” she said, clutching onto the hospital sheets. “It doesn’t make me feel less guilty,” tears collided with the white sheets as a green bow clip was in her sight. “She even gave this bow to me. I can’t believe I still forgot her.”
In normal circumstances, Sebastian would’ve felt awkward, but he understood the feeling. He put a hand on Abigail’s back, running it up and down as he tried to calm her. It was true, however. Knowing that they had forgotten their friend who had saved Sebastian, the person who had always made Fall better, matching their clothes during Spirit’s eve, who brought them little things to enjoy together during their visit,
The guilt was truly unbearable.
After a few hours after Abigail was released, she and Sebastian stayed to wait for the (h/c) haired girl. Both of them wanted to see if she was okay or not. Sam came bustling in soon after. Then Maru came out and gave them the thumbs up, all three of them jumped out of their seats to burst into the room.
“She’s been stabilized, thanks to Sebastian’s quick thinking and Abigail’s generosity,” Harvey said after cleaning all the blood. “She was in a dehydrated state and heavily injured. It was a wonder how she managed the strength to move with those injuries.”
“She’s fine, but she needs to stay here for the night so I can monitor her,” Harvey said again before looking up at the clock. It’s 9 pm. Three hours after Sebastian brought (Y/n) in. “It’s late, you all need to go home.”
“But can we stay with her? I asked mom if I could,” Sam started. “We’re staying just in case she wakes up,” Sebastian butted in, earning an eyebrow raise from Harvey. But the older male just chuckled.
“I suppose it won’t do any harm,” he started, “But please not make any noise before and after she wakes up. It might surprise her and raise her blood levels,” Harvey said before leaving the room with the three and one unconscious girl.
Sebastian turned to look at the girl who looked eerily peaceful, her hands placed above her stomach. Her right hand was attached to an IV drip, and her vitals were steady. Her clothing had changed to a hospital gown, probably not to put any pressure around her waist here the injury was.
“Lets grab a seat,” Sam said, removing the partition between (Y/n) and another hospital bed. “Are we even--” “It’s alright! We’ll put it back tomorrow!” Abigail butted in before helping Sam push the bed together.
“You guys really like her, huh?” Sam started, making the two freeze from what he said. Hasn’t he-- “Oh, I know she’s the same person from the accident,” Sam said as he removed his shoes and sat down on the bed.
“I realized it long ago, actually. When Abigail mentioned it at the Saloon, I just went with it since I thought the both of you actually forgot her,” Sam confessed, leaning against the headrest. “It was hard for me to talk to her, I was the reason she got hit in the first place.”
“But when Abby told me to just talk to her, I realized that you guys probably forgot,” Sam said, bringing his knees closer to his chest. “I remembered when she first came. Mom was careful to never trigger anything, but when she introduced herself to me, I saw the mark on her forehead. I excused myself when everything started coming back to me.”
“It’s hard, to look at her without remembering the hit. I feel like she’s been hating me, never forgiving me,” Sam said. “But when I saw she was rushed in here, I was hesitant. Mom told me to go, but I didn’t want to face her,” Sam looked at the resting girl.
“But she told me (Y/n) came back to see all of us, I bolted,” Sam chuckled as Abigail and Sebastian sat on the same mattress. But tears began to fall from his eyes. “I-I thought she would never want to see me ever again, not after what I’ve done to her,” he sobbed and Abigail slung an arm across his shoulders.
“Never really thought she’d come back,” Sam sniffled before gazing over to (Y/n). “I’m just happy she’s here.”
“Hey, Seb,” Sam called, the dark haired turning his head to face the blonde. “Yeah?” he answered. The latter gave a loopy smile, and even though he just cried, his eyes were bright of mischief.
“Do you still like (Y/n)?” he asked, making the other two freeze in place. Abigail slightly retracted her arm and Sebastian’s shoulders went tense. “Wh-what are you talking about?” he asked.
“You know what I’m talking about. Do you still like--” “Wh-where am I?” a groggy voice spoke, quietly, but loud enough for the trio to jump to the bed next to them.
(E/c) eyes started to open slowly, but squinted from the bright light. There were blobs of shadows in her sight, slowly clearing to reveal the trio before her eyes. All of them had worried expressions, eyes either red or still filled with tears.
“Abby?...Sebastian?...Sam?” the girl choked out as she slowly tried to sit up. “Wh-what happe--” Before she could finish her sentence, she was tackled back down by a force, pinning her back to the mattress. “Abby?”
“You stupid, stupid girl! How dare you get yourself so hurt again?!” she cried, burying her head in (Y/n) shoulder, trying to hide her sniffles as the girl slowly got up again.
Sebastian tackled her left side, wrapping his arms around the (Y/n) and Abigail. “You have no idea how much I panicked when you came out like that!” he shouted in frustration.
“You had us so worried!” Sam said as he hugged (Y/n)’s right side, careful to mind the injury she got. “Never do that again!” he cried out.
“I lost you once, I’m not losing you again!” Abigail cried. (Y/n) looked at Sebastian, her hand slowly coming up to brush his dark locks.
“At least I saw you at 6, right?” she chuckled, earning a glare from the male. He hit her back, harshly before hugging her again. “Yeah, but that’s NOT what I meant!”
“Yeah, yeah, I know. Sorry guys,” she laughed lightly as they all clung to her.
The next morning rolled around, and when Harvey walked in, he chuckled at the sight. (Y/n) was laying down since her sides hurt to sit up, Sebastian was sleeping sitting up as he held (Y/n)’s left hand in his own. Abigail was cuddling her on her right, clasping her right arm with both of her own. Sam was similar to Sebastian, but had his arms crossed over his chest.
‘These four really have a special bond,’ Harvey thought, smiling to himself. They didn’t look like young adults anymore, but more like children who wont let their friend go.
Of course, Harvey knew that almost all the singles around (Y/n)’s age suffered from Dissociative Amnesia from extreme trauma as children. And (Y/n) herself has been a victim in the accident that caused it. He knew since he saw her medical records and he looked at her nicely healing scars. But the affect strongest was the ones surrounding her. The sisters just haven’t remembered just yet.
7 AM rolled around, and (Y/n) stirred to wake up, pulling those around her away from their dream lands too. Harvey had just left the room to set up his clinic for the day.
Harvey had agreed to let her out, and asked them to keep an eye on the healing girl. Se got 7 stitches and she had to be very careful. Abigail happily volunteered to assist (Y/n) on the farm and Sam and Sebastian would check up on them every so often.
Little did they know, Harvey had taken a photo of the quartet, sending them to their families. Of course, being the lovely mothers they were, they framed the photo and hung it around somewhere in the house.

“Sebastian?”
The red-eyed butler blinked a few times, snapping out of his daze as he had been looking at you intently for a while now.
“Are…you feeling alright?” You asked, your hand going to feel his forehead, finding it to be a normal temperature, well, for him at least.
Blinking a few more times, Sebastian smirked and wrapped his arms around your waist, thankfully alone in the library he was organizing. You had been there to keep him company. “More than alright, my dear.” His voice sounded a bit deeper than normal.
Raising your brow, you shrugged it off and wandered over to the bookshelves seeing as he was ok. “These look sturdy, don’t they?” You asked, your hand running over the edge of it.
“Yes, they are. They were built into the wall and meant to support a great amount of weight.”
You smiled at that. “Good.” Running a quick hand through your (H/C) hair, you lifted your hand and foot to begin scaling it, it was good practice after all to experience a variety of things to climb.
However, a pair of arms quickly pulled you away from the wall. “Can I help you?” You asked Sebastian who only gave you an intense stare once more.
“No more climbing.” He said, all but dragging you away to place you down on one of the couches.
“May I ask why?” Clearly, you weren’t amused at being told what to do. You lifted your (B/T) body from the couch only to be pushed back down again. “What’s going on, Sebastian? Why the weird stares? Why the sudden demands?”
Kneeling in front of you, his eyes flashed to their glowing slits. “When was your last menstruation?” He asked seriously, which made you want to turn away and blush.
“I—”
“Do not avoid my question, (F/N). When was it?”
You turned away, your cheeks becoming flushed with color. “I suppose…a little over a two and a half ago? Three months?” Rubbing your sides, you sighed a little. “I blame the corset I had to wear for the past few infiltrations though. I’ve heard they rearrange your organs.”
His eyes immediately went to your midsection, noticing how particularly shaped it was today. “Are you wearing one now?”
“A small one, yeah, I’m trying to get better at climbing and breathing in on—” Your dress was quickly lifted up and a sharp ripping sound was heard as the corset that Mey-Rin had painstakingly tightened was taken off with no effort. “Sebastian!” You shouted, both in annoyance and embarrassment.
His hands kept the dress up, white gloves roaming over and around your midsection. “No need to be modest, I’ve seen and touched every inch of you.” He replied as if it was no big deal.
Pursing your lips you glanced away. He wasn’t wrong, you had quickly fallen for his suave persona. “But…still. We are in the library, someone could come in.”
“No one will.” He said and leaned back, a sigh of relief passing from his lips before looking at you directly, his hands holding your face to look at him. “Do you really not see what’s happening?”
Your own (E/C) eyes gave a look of confusion, gaze wandering around the room as if it would help you to try and figure it out. “No?” You said after a moment, not appreciating how your (S/C) midsection was on display still.
Sebastian sighed and leaned back down, placing a small kiss to your lower abdomen. “You’re going to be a mother.”
Everything seemed to stop after that statement. And you stared at him, wondering if you truly heard him correctly. “Come again?” You asked, your voice cracking.
The butler picked you up with ease after getting up and turned around to sit on the couch, your back to his chest and in his lap. “I said,” he pulled off his gloves so that he could touch you skin to skin, “you’re going to be a mother.” He purred, head resting on your shoulder as he traced his fingers and palms on your abdomen.
“How is that possible?” You whispered, eyes looking down in both awe and absolute confusion.
“Well, when you allowed me entrance here,” his hands wandered down between your legs, running over your bloomers, “and I spilled my se—”
“I-I know how that works!” You stuttered out, turning to face him a bit. “I’m asking, how do you know?” There was no possible way to tell she was pregnant. There was no bump, other than a slight hardness in that area, she had no morning sickness to speak of, nor any other signs.
Sebastian’s eyes somehow seemed to glow more. “Must I say it again? I’m simply one hell of a butler.” He mused, making you roll your eyes at the overused phrase. “And, we have been over this, I am not of this world. I have my ways.” He moved to stand, causing you to stand as well before he suddenly dropped to his knees. “Pregnancies for my kind can be…difficult.” He pressed his pale nose to your stomach, taking in a deep breath, “My dear, you smell even more amazing than before.” He muttered before placing another kiss there. “I will watch over you, protect you, from any and everything. You have become my first priority.” His words were absolute, leaving no room for argument.
Biting your lip, you placed a hand on his head and gently ran it through it, making him hum in contentment. “And Ciel?”
“Second priority.” He answered just as quickly, “You hold my heart and my life, (F/N). I will protect you.” Sebastian had let go and held you by the hips. “Understand?” There was no joking or hint of a lie in his statement. Making you nod slowly. “Good.” His playful smile was back and eyes returned to their blood red wine color. “Now, no more climbing.”
Sighing, you pulled your dress down and nodded. “Ok, ok. I understand.” You said, hands going to your boots to pull out a couple of daggers to throw and practice with, only to find them missing. “Where are they?” You muttered in confusion only to have one whizz past your head and notch itself into the wooden frame of a painting.
“No knives either.” Came Sebastian’s voice from across the library.
A scowl appeared on your face, “Then that means no ‘play time’ either!” You shouted back to which you suddenly felt his presence right behind you.
“Sorry, my dear, but that ‘knife’ of mine will not harm you unlike those ones you had in your boot.” His arms snaked around you and his mouth found your ear. “Let me show you.”

The Morning After
Tumblr media
Part 26 of Seventy Percent
Series Summary: When you left on your trip to Vegas, you’d planned on letting loose for one last weekend before heading back to reality and getting your affairs in order so your best friend wouldn’t be left cleaning up your mess when your cancer finally ended your life. What you hadn’t counted on was waking up married to a celebrity who has a knight-in-shining-armor complex, connections with an oncologist, and amazing insurance…
Chapter Summary:  You wake up the morning after the collapse and deal with the fallout of your fight with Sebastian
Word Count: 2,362
Warnings: ANGST. Mentions of past abuse (sexual & physical), mentions of abortion, mentions of murder... literally ALL the angst
Tumblr media
Waking up was always hard. The world was so much simpler when you were asleep. Whatever you were dealing with before you fell asleep was so far away in those waking moment, but it never took long for the real world to hit.
This time, the real world came with claws.
Arguing with Sebastian. Confessing to murdering your father. Your head feeling like it was exploding. Losing your sight and then…
Nothing.
“Y/N?” A familiar voice asked. It took a moment to place it as Brenda, your favorite nurse. Once you placed her, you heard the other tell-tale noises of the hospital. The constant beeping of monitors, squeak of wheels as gurneys were rolled out in the hallway, and dull chatter of nurses as they passed your room… “Y/N, are you awake?”
Maybe if you didn’t respond, you could somehow make this become a dream. Because that wasn’t delusional at all.
“Can you open your eyes for me?”
You tried to shake your head, but there was resistance. Something pressing against your head that was never there before, when you woke up in a hospital.
God, what if you opened your eyes and still couldn’t see anything?
What if you opened your eyes and there were cops there, waiting to cuff you and read you your Miranda rights?
“Y/N, I know you’re awake. Just open your eyes for me.”
Well, if either of those options were true when you opened your eyes, you sure as hell deserved both. So what did it matter?
Carefully, you started opening your eyes, flinching when the light hit your cornea and you reflexively shut your eyes again.
“Good, that’s good. Try again.”
It took a few more minutes of coaxing, but eventually you were able to keep your eyes open. By that time, Brenda was joined by Dr. Chowdhury and a woman doctor you’d never seen before. Sebastian was nowhere to be seen.
Honestly, you wouldn’t be surprised if you never saw him again. The next time he came into your life would be in the form of being served divorce papers.
“Y/N. This is Dr. Abara,” Dr. Chowdhury introduced. “She performed your surgery and successfully removed your tumor.”
Hold up.
“What?”
Your doctor offered you a smile. “It is gone. Your cancer is gone.”
“Oh my god.” You’d never heard your voice so shaky. “What—what happened? I don’t remember much—”
Dr. Abara stepped forward. “The tissue around your tumor became inflamed. It wasn’t surprising, considering how long you’ve been on this aggressive treatment. It was, however, monitored closely throughout your treatment. The inflamed tissue pressed against the nerves in your neck and your spinal cord. As a result, you lost vision for a time and you lost consciousness as well.”
“But it’s all good now?” The words were foreign on your tongue.
She nodded. “We will be performing tests and scans over the next week to make sure we got all of the cancerous cells, but we are very optimistic.”
Cancer free. You weren’t going to die. You had a future.
But the question that bounced through your mind as you answered the doctors’ questions and let them give you a brief exam was what kind of future did you really have?
Sebastian had obviously written you off. And you didn’t blame him. Maybe he was just waiting until you were recovered more before calling the cops on you and your future would be spent behind bars. If that was the case, hopefully you could serve your time in the same prison as your sister. At least then you’d have someone who understood.
Just a week ago you’d been excited at the prospect of getting this tumor out and spending your future with Sebastian.
And now?
Well, now every time a shadow cast across the blinds, your muscles tensed. Whenever the doorknob to your room turned, your anxiety skyrocketed. It was just a matter of time before the cops showed up.
What fortuitous timing. As soon as you’re cancer-free, someone finds out the truth about you. They don’t have to feel bad about calling the cops.
Sebastian doesn’t have to feel bad about calling the cops. And it was a part of the deal to get a divorce after the surgery. He has all the excuses—no, no. He has all the reasons he needs to never see you again. They aren’t excuses. He has solid reasons.
It was three hours later when he finally walked through the door. He was careful to be quiet, slowly closing the door. The hesitance was not something you’d ever seen on him. Just knowing that you’d caused it made you shrink into yourself even more.
He turned and straightened up when he saw you were awake. “Hey.”
“Hi,” you managed to eke out after a deep breath.
“How’re you feeling? I assume the nurses or surgeon or Dr. Chowdhury have talked to you. Let you know how everything went.” At his pause, you responded with a shallow nod. “Right. Good. Uh… I wish I could have been here when you woke up, but the surgery took longer than they told me and my agent call—”
“It’s okay,” you whispered, interrupted him.
“No, it’s not. You should have had someone here when you woke up.”
“I’m fine, Sebastian. You don’t have to—”
“I should have been here,” he asserted. “I’m your husband.”
Your eyes fell to your lap and you whispered, “You don’t have to be.”
Your reply obviously caught him off guard because there was silence for a solid ten seconds before he spoke again. “What?”
“Surgery’s over. That was the deal, right?” You massaged your left ring finger, devoid of your ring as an excuse not to look at him. Before surgery, a nurse had removed your rings and given them to Sebastian for safe keeping. It was doubtful you’d ever see them again. “I remember what we were talking about before I collapsed and this is your out. I’ll sign whatever you want me to sign and I won’t blame you for whatever phone calls you want to—”
“Phone calls? What the hell are you talking about?”
“I’m talking about…” You scoffed and finally looked up at him. “I’m saying that my sister’s not the only Y/L/N who belongs in jail.”
And a very uncomfortable silence fell over the room.
This was the moment where he finally agreed with you. The moment where he finally realized what a huge mistake it was to not get that annulment back in Vegas.
After what seemed like an eternity, he started moving in slow, measured steps towards the bed you were sat on. “I called Jasmin. After they rushed you into surgery, I figured I should let her know. And we got to talking.”
So you got to lose your husband and best friend all in one day.
It was fitting.
Sebastian sat on a chair after scooting it closer to your bed. “She knows more than you give her credit for, you know. What you said about your dad not being the first person you-you killed… Your first was when you were fifteen, right?”
And your blood ran cold.
“You and Jaz convinced her older brother to let you tag along on a trip to Denver and you managed to slip away for a couple of hours. But you’re a horrible liar, so she was worried about you and followed you.”
“Fuck,” you barely breathed. She never said a word. All these years.
“Y/N… you went to Planned Parenthood.” He reached for your hands, but you reflexively jerked them away. Rather than retreat, he let his hands fall on the bed next to you and looked up at you with wide, clear eyes. “That’s not murder. You were fifteen. Your father was abusive and—”
“Not the father. He never touched me like that.” Why were you defending him? If there was one thing you knew for certain in this world, it was that that man didn’t deserve any kindness. You were coming clean, so you might as well come clean about everything. Good and bad.
You forced your muscles to relax back into the pillow and closed your eyes. “But he gambled a lot. Had a lot of debt. And… and couldn’t always pay up. So, uh, so some of his… friends,” you spat the word. “let him pay his debts another way.”
“God, please don’t tell me…”
Huffing a bitter, humorless laugh, you found yourself pulling the thin hospital blanket further up your body. “Yeah.”
“Baby, I’m so sorry.”
Fuck, he was getting choked up. If you opened your eyes, you bet there would be tears on his cheeks. You didn’t deserve sympathy. “It doesn’t matter how I got into that situation, I still did it. I still got the abortion. And I still killed my dad.”
“It does matter. Y/N, it matters so fucking much. Look at me, please. Baby, I’m begging you.”
“You remember when I told you what that lady from my hometown said when she found out I had cancer?” You refused to open your eyes. “That it was God’s way of punishing me for not adopting my nephews? She wasn’t wrong, exactly. He was definitely punishing me for something, but it wasn’t that.”
“Fucking hell, sweetheart. Will you just fucking look at me!?” The last few words ended in a near-yell, surprising you enough to get you to do just as he wanted. Seeing he had your attention, he sat forward. “Baby, what you went through was horrifying. You reacted how any rational person would and I know it’s not what you want to hear, but you’ve gotta learn to cut yourself a break.” As much as you wanted to interrupt his monologue to let him know he was wasting his breath, you waited for him to finish. You had to know what arguments he had stored in his head if you had any hope of countering them. “Your sister left when you were eight. You were abused since you were eight years old. There is not a single person whose opinion matters that would blame you for any of it.”
“My sister killed her abusive boyfriend. She lived the same abuse I did, and a jury found her guilty. I killed my abusive dad. I don’t really see the difference.”
And he didn’t have an immediate retort to that point.
“You’re not going to change my mind, Sebastian. So I suggest you stop wasting your time.” You kept eye contact for a moment longer before breaking it to slide down on the bed and turn your back to him. “I’m tired. Doctor said I should sleep when my body tells me to. Brain surgery, and all that.”
He didn’t say anything else, nor did he leave. You sensed him sitting back in the chair behind you, but didn’t dare look over your shoulder to see.
It wasn’t a lie, what you’d said. You were tired. And Dr. Chowdhury had told you to listen to your body and rest when you needed it. But… but you just couldn’t seem to go to sleep. For fifteen minutes, the two of you sat in silence. For fifteen minutes, you hoped and prayed that Sebastian would just leave you behind.
For his sake, you hoped he would call his attorney and get divorce papers going. You hoped he would call his PR team and get them to spin a nice tale on why you two were kissing in the airport last week and this week you were signing divorce papers as a Christmas present. A story that wouldn’t hurt his career. That would paint him in a good light.
“Why now?” Sebastian shattered the icy silence. When you didn’t answer, it was like he could sense your confusion. “We were happy. You were happy. The night you were drunk you said…” He trailed off, and your mind jerked back to that night, wondering what you said to him that he would bring up now. But he kept talking and you pushed it away. “And this is a shitload to carry around. Maybe I just read you wrong this whole time, but…”
“You didn’t,” you confessed quietly, staring at the far wall. “You didn’t read me wrong. I did. I… I think that when I refused treatment earlier this year and prepared to, uh, to die, that I convinced myself that the cancer was my-my-my…my sentencing. And that made it easier to accept that I was going to die. And so I just kind of… I skipped ahead and I let it cancel out. I let the cancer bury everything.”
When you fell silent, he continued on for you. “So when the good news finally settled in…”
“With the cancer gone, there wasn’t anything to hold back everything else.” Tears started blurring your vision, but you tamped back the emotion. You didn’t deserve the release of tears. “And I don’t want you to think I don’t appreciate everything you’ve done for me because I do. I really do. I know that as soon as I recover and get back to my real life, I’ll be able to cope and push it all down again and I will truly be thankful for you saving my life, but right now all I can think is that you should have left me in Vegas.”
And today set the record for uncomfortable silences between you and Sebastian.
That was, until you heard him move. You assumed he was finally leaving the room, but instead you felt the bed behind you shift moments before he laid down behind you with an arm wrapped tightly around you.
“What are—what are you…”
His arm held you close when you tried pushing away.
“I’m going to hold you until you fall asleep. And you’re going to let me.” You opened your mouth to argue, but he beat you to the punch, repeating your words back to you. “And you’re not going to change my mind, so don’t waste your time.”
“Seb—”
“We can continue this discussion later, but I’ll be damned if I let my wife deal with this alone. Especially after just getting brain surgery.”
“Seb—”
“I’m not leaving you, Y/N.”

CHAPTER 27: THE CONFESSION

Hi!! Can you do an undertaker, Sebastian, and Ciel with an S/O who is an assassin?
Here it is my Anon! I hope you enjoy it!
Undertaker and his Assassin S/O
He knew what your profession was from the moment he saw you. In his previous line of work, afterall, he ran into several of your kind. Or perhaps it is better to say, the targets of your profession.
It was a little surprising to him though to find out that he developed a target on his head. No doubt from a disgruntled customer who assumed the measurements were wrong on the coffin. Or, at least that’s what he assumed.
But, considering who he is, he was definitely waiting for you to show up, giggling all the while. It was a bit unnerving to have a target be laughing at their imminent demise, but you brushed it off as a coping mechanism.
Even so, he was…frustratingly hard to kill. Your usual tactics of ‘grab and take them down in a headlock’ weren’t working. Not because you weren’t strong enough, but because he kept weaseling out of your grip somehow. You blamed the soft long hair.
Yet, after your first few failed attempts, it was obvious the Undertaker saw it as more of a game than a threat on his life. Which only served to annoy you.
After a few more unsuccessful attempts, you screamed, “Just let me pin you!”
To which he grinned and shook his head. “But if I let you, that means you leave.” His voice took a deeper turn as he brushed his bangs to the side. It made you shiver, those irises weren’t normal. And you’ve looked into many a dying man’s eyes to know that.
With a frustrated growl, you sat down on a coffin (since he didn’t have chairs in his funeral parlor, weirdo) and crossed your arms. “Looks like I’m not going anywhere then.”
He laughed and turned around. “I wouldn’t have it any other way dearie. Don’t worry, I don’t mind sharing my bed when you get tired of this silly bounty.”
You could only stare and purse your lips. Truly, it seemed like you would not be getting out of this anytime soon. But perhaps…that wasn’t so bad.
Sebastian and his Assassin S/O
It was nice to see you back after all these years. Pretending to be something you were not born to do. To think, the once proud royal assassin of Ancient Egypt, a lowly baker barely scraping by in London. It was a bit saddening to see your potential go to waste.
But no matter, now that he found you again after all these centuries, he would not be letting you go.
His first priority was to watch and observe. How were you with others that have wronged you? Who were far too rude for your liking? His eyes gleamed as he saw your hand twitch towards a bread knife after a particularly annoying customer walked away, but you retracted your hand. The frustration on your face said it all.
But, he needed to see you in action. He desired it in fact. After all, that’s how you won the demon’s heart. Perhaps having done so many ‘good deeds’–or as good as can be for a demon like himself–the dark one decided to reward him and bring you back.
Shrouded in all black, he followed you on a rainy morning as you headed to the bakery. You knew you were being followed, he was making it quite obvious actually. But after several particularly annoying customers, this was the last straw. And if the law came after you…well, self-defense was there for a reason, right?
Rounding a corner, you immediately scaled the brick wall, holding onto the ledge of a window as you waited for your pursuer to follow you. Taking out a knife and putting it in between your teeth, you watched the round the corner as expected.
As your figure came plummeting down, intending to stab the man’s throat, you found yourself slammed up against the wall, a hand around your throat.
“My, it seems you still have it after all, don’t you my dear?” A silky smooth voice whispered in your ear. In your heart of hearts, it was distant, but it reached out to the voice. A name was ringing in your ears, begging you to say it. But the moment you opened your mouth, you found a pair of lips on yours and two shining red eyes staring  back at you. As the man pulled away, he gave a peck to your nose. “I have a new name now. Call me Sebastian.”
Ciel (Adult) and his Assassin S/O
He had to admit, when he required your assistance as a plus one all those years ago to take out a target, he never expected to actually develop feelings for you. But, yet here he was, you on his arm laughing at a noble’s joke and a ring on your finger.
As the noble walked away, your expression darkened and turned to disgust, swiftly picking up a champagne flute from a server’s tray. “I can’t wait till he’s six feet under.” You muttered.
He couldn’t help but chuckle a little and press a soft kiss to your head. “Patience my dear, all in due time.” You couldn’t help but sigh and lean into his touch.
He was right, but you could wait since it was for him. Now that you were in a very public marriage with Ciel, it was much harder to take on assassination jobs. But he was good to you, he knew you liked it, so he pulled some of his contacts in the underground and was able to secure targets for you. He spoiled you like that.
As the hour chimed, you downed the rest of your glass and handed it to your husband. “I’ll be right back.” You said, turning to flash him a bright smile. “Don’t miss me too much.” And with that, you went off to go persuade the noble to a more…secluded area.
He smirked and nodded his head. You both knew you’d miss the other’s presence. After all, two dark souls attracted one another.
Around eight minutes later, you sidled back up to him with a little sigh. “My love, it seems that one was taken care of in record time.” He mused after glancing back at the clock.
You were efficient to say the least, but it was more fun when they fought. “Next time, get me a more challenging one, yes?” You asked. By no means were you upset, if anything, the target had some nerve to be so easy. Perhaps it was all the drinks they had that did it.
Ciel wrapped his arm around your waist, pulling you close. “As you wish.” He leaned down and whispered in your ear, “My dear assassin.”
