There had been no point in charging that stupid Faz-Watch after the news of the Pizza-Plex fire, but setting it onto it’s place of honor at the bedside had become an ingrained habit. Besides, even though the “Next Great Wolf Lodge of Pizza and Family Entertainment” inexplicably went up in flames - there was still the hope that there would be an update.

Some sort of update about ‘her’ daycare really didn’t matter - wasn’t much of a manager what with the daycare shuttered due to the on-going ‘ Equipment Malfunctions’... those stupid generators they dragged into her daycare probably started it.

No, hope was being held out for some sort of update about the Daycare Attendant. That whatever happened; it had been during a charge cycle, that they didn’t know.

Truth be told, she missed them. A day of enraged parents, mountains of paperwork, inept upper management sending shit down the pipes for her to handle, endless birthdays and tantrums - all of it could be brushed aside with loud overly excited greetings or that demented cackle and put a smile back on her face.

...why was the Faz-Watch repeatedly sounding out the Assist-Sync chime?
