#this is a silly post but also #im gonna have to get creative if im only eating meat once a week (nonnas dinners) #i like meat! but TUMMY HURT #and i am going to also try to reduce processed/dairy/and certain grains #see if that helps #but again. gonna have to get creative with my veggies #bc texture is my no. 1 food nemesis #I LOVE TO EAT BUT IT DOES NOT LOVE ME APPARENTLY #like idk yall. i never had tummy problems til i moved back in 2020 #and my stress levels haven't changed too much overall #but my DIET has bc my family eats. not ideal to how i want to eat #way way too much meat imo #but like. i cant do this. im in agony at least once a week sometimes more #food has become a burden not a joy #it may be GERD! idk! i just know a more vegetarian diet can help #gonna force myself to like weird grains like farro #idk theyre not weird i just was raised with a one track palate #which isnt my fault #but textures are evil so new foods are hit and miss as an adult #i have a doc appt in 2 weeks #but shes inevitably gonna be like. well. keep a food journal #I NEED RELIEF NOW #kinda highkey excited even tho $ and time #bc my famy eats so much goddam meat and i DONT enjoy it #i DO prefer vegetarian meals at least 80% of the time #or chicken #rarely have i ever actually wanted pork or beef or anything #lentils my beloved 💕 #unfortunately mushrooms and eggs are at the top of my food hate cant eat list #so finding good veg recipes is HARD

sometimes googling medical conditions is helpful because I’ve been diagnosed with asthma since I was a kid and I have only just learned that asthma doesn’t always cause wheezing and can sometimes just cause chest tightness and breathlessness without any wheeze, and also that alcohol can be a trigger, with red wine usually being regarded as the worst trigger

and anyway I think I just figured out the answer to something that has caused me pain almost every day of my entire life and is always worsened with alcohol (particularly red wine) and exercise

Blu's doing fine after his tooth extraction Tuesday, he finally pooped yesterday. Three more days of soft food to go. He's so good, we pulverize his pain pill and two antibiotics, he gets these twice a day, put it in some wet food and he gulps it down.

I didn't realize how thick and lush his hair is! No wonder he never seems cold! His skin looks like fabric, lol!

I was at a Palestinian solidarity gig last night & the one Palestinian artist who was going to perform had COVID so the organisers asked around to see if there were any Palestinians who'd like to say a few words instead.

A local guy who was born & raised in Gaza offered to speak. He started with "I'm an engineer. i'm not a poet or a politician. I don't... do public speaking… I had no idea what to say when I came up here. So i'm just going to tell you about the street I grew up on."

And then he did! He went down the street building by building. He told us about the ice cream shop on the corner, the grocery shop, the charity that supports people with intellectual disabilities. He told us about the people who he knew growing up, the families who still live in the different houses. He told us about the university buildings and about his friends who quit being accountants to start a band together. All on that street.

All of which is gone now, by the way. Bombed to dust.
