So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’...But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you. Matthew 6: 31&33
How often we push our Bible reading and prayer to the end of the day. We hurriedly read a verse or two, say a prayer and plop into bed. We hardly have the energy or even the concentration to understand His word. It's no wonder that we feel stressed and drained even before it's midday.
The Bible urges us to seek the things of God first, His kingdom and His righteousness. The verse doesn't mean, Jesus will immediately make us rich or influential. It means, when you seek His kingdom first, He will be faithful to provide strength, wisdom for the day and all that you require, just at the right time, and you will surely glorify His name.

‭‭Acts‬ ‭16:5‭-‬10‬ ‭(NIV).‬‬ “So the churches were strengthened in the faith and grew daily in numbers. Paul and his companions traveled throughout the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been kept by the Holy Spirit from preaching the word in the province of Asia. When they came to the border of Mysia, they tried to enter Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not allow them to. So they passed by Mysia and went down to Troas. During the night Paul had a vision of a man of Macedonia standing and begging him, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” After Paul had seen the vision, we got ready at once to leave for Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them.”
“Confronting a Closed Door” By In Touch Ministries:
“When God closes a door, He will always open a better one.”
“Have you ever faced a closed door? It’s extremely frustrating, right? The apostle Paul knew exactly how that felt. On his second missionary journey, he repeatedly found the way blocked by the Holy Spirit. Eventually the apostle arrived in Troas with nothing but the sea in front of him and closed doors behind.
It must have seemed strange to Paul that God would prevent him from spreading the gospel. But instead of getting angry or trying to force his way into new territory, Paul waited for the Lord’s direction. The Bible doesn’t tell us how long he and Timothy lingered in Troas, but the apostle didn’t move until the Lord revealed the entrance to a new mission field.
If you’re in a period of waiting, try doing what Paul did. Look at your situation as a chance to seek God’s purpose and guidance. Ask the Lord why He has barred the way forward—perhaps the timing is wrong or there’s some unconfessed sin to deal with. Whatever the reason, it’s important to be sensitive to the Spirit’s leading—and to be ready for the door that will open.
When an opportunity is blocked, God has a reason. He is providing love and protection, even when we don’t see it. And He’s keeping His promise to work everything for our good (Romans 8:28).”

Jeremiah 29:12-14
"Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the LORD, and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you, declares the LORD, and I will bring you back to the place from which I sent you into exile."

* IMPORTANT REMINDER *
“Seek the Lord while He may be found; call to Him while He is near. Let the wicked one abandon his way and the sinful one his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, so He may have compassion on him, and to our God, for He will freely forgive.”
‭‭(Isaiah‬ ‭55:6-7‬)

Happy Friday loves.
I feel incredibly drained energetically because I had been allowing people and things into my life that do not align with me on a spiritual level. There's this heavy feeling over me that makes me feel like crying. Through the night, I experienced a few dreams that I am considering spiritual attacks because of their nature and the way they made me feel once I awoke. When I did eventually wake up, I felt like I was in a haze with less energy than when I went to sleep.
The main reason I had been allowing these things into my life is because I wanted to be a good influence and help them become better - but sometimes that just doesn't happen. Along with that, I also lacked the courage to do so because I wanted to preserve other people's feelings. But it is crucial to your spiritual welfare that you only surround yourself with things that truly align with the positive spiritual aspects of life.
So, I decided to do an audit of the things and people in my life and have been making decisions to remove the negativity. While it can be hard to remove people that you care about, you need to remember that (especially in today's world) your spiritual and overall wellness should be paramount. Even if it means that you have to be alone for a while, you need to remove the negativity.
For example, some of you may know that I do not have any sort of in-person support system, only God. I used to hang out with one individual, but after the conversation we had last night, I had to remove them from my life. You need to remember that just because you want to help someone, doesn't mean that they want to be helped. By helping someone like that, you hurt yourself and waste the precious time God has given you on this Earth. By removing all of the "bad", you make space for God to begin to fill it with "good". Know that you DO deserve that, no matter what your thoughts may try to tell you. When you release these people and things, do so with love. Communicate to them that the love is still there but, in order to do the things you need to do and be one with God, you must release them - with love. If they react negatively, that is a projection of what is going on within them so do not let it penetrate your spirit. It is not your fault, and their emotions are their responsibility to deal with - not yours.
I also started cleaning up the things I am surrounded with on social media, so if it doesn't align with me and makes me feel any negativity in my gut, it has been removed.
At this point, tears have been released, probably partially in mourning of the friendship I just ended. But that's okay because release is important.
I'm writing this to share with y'all, but I also am writing this for myself. It's intended to serve as a reminder for anyone who needs it because if you choose your own well-being and align with God, good things will come of it.
For now, I will be spending the majority of my day doing nothing but fasting and reading the Bible. If I don't go live later today, this is why. Since hanging out with y'all is something that God does like for me to do, I will probably be on because it makes me feel better overall.

It is simply not enough to know about God.
We must know God in increasing levels of intimacy that lifts us up above all reason and into the world of adoration and praise and worship.

When You said, "Seek My face," my heart said to You, "Your face, O LORD, I shall seek." Psalm 27:8
Many of us are after God’s hand, His provision and His blessing but the Psalmist David is going much farther—he is after God’s face. He wanted an intimate relationship with His LORD. Don’t let the demands that life brings keep you from what God is after. We want to be pragmatic and resolve our problems, but God wants us to know Him and, in the process, become more like Him. A relationship with God is much more than just changing our present situation, He wants to change us with His beauty…change us from glory to glory.

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:7‭-‬14‬ ‭(NIV‬‬). “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”
“Seek Bravely; Knock Boldly” by In Touch Ministries:
“Those who actively pursue God are never disappointed.”
“Yesterday, we looked at what it means to ask something of God and what we gain by doing so. But we are also told to do two additional things in our pursuit of God: “seek” and “knock.”
All three of the commands come with rock-solid promises: “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you” (Matt. 7:7, emphasis added). Notice the Lord doesn’t say “maybe it will be given,” “perhaps you will find,” or “hopefully it’ll be opened.” He wants us to know that those who seek after Him will never be disappointed. The journey—however long or challenging it might be—will always be worth it.
But what kind of door does Jesus have in mind? It is Himself. In John 10:9 Jesus says, “I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.” Jesus is the door through which we find abundant, eternal life. When we knock, we trust that there is always more goodness in store for those who are in Christ. And when we walk through this open door, it is through faith in Christ on the path of salvation that He alone provides.
When you ask, ask for more of Jesus. When you seek, seek the path of Jesus. And when you knock, knock boldly in the certainty that Jesus will open Himself to you and welcome you home.”

The rules of eternal life are different from the rules of this life. In this life people run after things which run away from them. But whoever wins Him gains all, and whoever loses Him loses all. It is as simple as that. Now, run if you like.
