REDRAWING MY BOI TIME

Seekers has been in the works (in a more serious form) since 2018!!! I drew the bottom piece in 2019 and decided it was time to redraw it, given quite a bit changed since then.

The start of a crazy adventure..

Hello! These are some test pages I did for fun of a scene from the early part of my Seekers story. There’s no official comic, you can’t read it anywhere right now. I want to try out more experimentation with comics and stuff, try to find what I feel works for me best.

I think part of my hesitance in producing a webcomic comes from not being sure about my style or my limitations in the genre. I hope to do most test pages and stuff like this in the future to get more and more comfortable with it.

Seekers is my original story that I’ve been developing for a comic series since 2018! It follows Amar, who’s your average highschool junior until an accident nearly costs him his life. However, he survives with little to no injuries and discovers newfound powers have awakened in him.

It’s got super teenagers, ghostly stuff, metaphysical stuff, and good ole slow burn romance ✨

I’ve only begun seriously constructing the script THIS MONTH and hope to debut it on webtoon this year!

More Seekers designing, this time with the redesigned supporting cast.

I’ve really narrowed them down from the original, since I found it hard to give each character a voice before. I want them to feel genuine and have meaningful interactions with the plot, and therefore downsizing made it easier and makes more sense in the new narrative.

From left to right is Alisha, “Max��, and Tiffany. I want to rename Max, just haven’t done it yet, so I’m open to suggestions!

What's your process for writing/thumbnailing seekers? I always love to hear comic artists talk about that!

Honestly my process has been dragging for the last few years LOL. I started formally developing this story in 2018, and I kept making changes and adjusting things. Sometimes I wouldn’t think about it for months to come back with fresh eyes.

Currently, I’m writing out the scripts for the episodes (since I’m planning to put it on Webtoon, I’m writing the scripts to fit). Before that, I made a timeline in sheets for all the seasoned planned with blocks for each episode per season. Each block is labeled and has a blurb about the main event or events in that episode.

I only just began boarding the scripts I’ve written so far, like literally only the first ep has boards rn. Walter Ostlie on YouTube has a rly nice webtoon layout thing to use when boarding and drawing webtoon eps. And it’s free! (Ofc support if you can.) So I’ve been using that for my boards.

Idk if any of that is interesting but it’s what I’ve got so far! I’m considering posting the work of seekers on patreon later on to show the process of making it.
