when we explore what happened in your childhood, it is not to blame your parents or have a biased judgement of them. it is to understand how events impacted you and what your experience was. so you don’t have to feel guilty about talking about it or as if you are betraying your family. 

trauma can be of various types and it does not only have to be induced due to one major event. there can also be trauma from situations of acute stress over a prolonged period of time. 

choosing the wrong or right people does not mean they are good or bad. it means understanding what is healthy for you and what you want. it’s not putting them into boxes, it’s simply knowing what is healthy for you.

why do you wait for a green light from others? what is your green light? why do your decisions have to be based on what others want? what do you want?

being a friendly person and being an open book does not mean that you cannot have boundaries. 

you disappointing someone or them disappointing you does not have to be the end of the relationship.

Urgent Help Needed

made this second post to try and get more range

My cat (a 14 year old sweetheart) has to get surgery done on his eyes due to a swelling on the inner tissue of them that was causing him pain and could lead to blindness.

But this is year’s end and I know that just like for me, this is a tough period with finances. And I have no way of paying the rest of my bills (which have gotten this way due to my aunt’s death — whoever says death is costless is lying, as the whole burial process seems to be making a lot of people smile with fat wallets)

I am desperate.

I know this is too much, but once more I reach out for any kind soul who might be able to help — i can pay back with divinations (tarot, shell, astrological or intuitive readings).

My first goal is to be able to get Snow’s procedure done — his health and safety is my priority and the procedure, according to the vet is R$1500 + and additional of R$700 for the meds needed for recuperation and maintaining.

Then, to pay my bill without having to go into debt and have it go up 170% in interest I need R$1414 more from the money I have managed to save.

Cat surgery goal: 448 usd

Debt goal: 346 usd

I know it is a lot, I promise to update with receipts and updates for all the people who are kind and give a hand, either by sharing the post so it can reach more people or financially.

I was recently in a car accident. I'm fine, luckily, trying to get out of the car I fell on my arm and for now, my wrist is swollen but I hope it's nothing serious. But my car ended up unrecognizable. In addition, the accident occurred when I was alone, and a couple of policemen forced me to pay them $300 so as not to arrest me with false accusations. I don't know if the insurance will cover everything because it was a terrible crash and maybe a total loss...

I'm in serious need of help. I'm a queer Latina and a writer. Currently, I don't have a permanent job and this totally took me out of my financial stability. I don't know what to do and I'm desperate.

Tentatively thinking about making a competition for OC's to duke it out in a multi universe, multi-staged, competition. Where the OC's creator has to do different challenges like write/draw/make a video/comic/animation however they want to express themselves and tumblr votes on who they like the most/who put the most work into their respective choice of medium. People are competing each stage for points/votes and we add them up. Whoever gets the most points at the end get's bragging rights and the OC gets crowned the tumblerite of the year.

BUT I'm going to need help organizing and advertising this if it does happen.

For anyone else with chronic fatigue, can I suggest trying out a sun lamp?

I've had one for a few weeks now and it helps me a bit. The impact is minimal (I'm a little less tired for up to a couple of hours after using it), but it's still something and it's the only treatment I've found so far that does anything at all. I'm sure it won't help everyone, but the lamps are inexpensive and can be used passively. I got mine for only $18 [link] and it has a long return window.

I'm still very new to navigating life with chronic fatigue (as part of long covid), so I'd love to hear from other people on any effective treatments they've found.

I have a massive emergency running.

As you know, my ex boyfriend kicked me out of the apartment after deciding he wants to be with his ex girlfriend again.

I was forced to find in a hurry a place to live with my pets and kinda manage now on my own with some smaller struggles here and there.

Everything shattered today when this tax bill rolled in where I am supposed to pay an insane amount of money I don't even have. I'm crying since hours and don't know what to do at all, even turning depressed enough at this point to consider just ending all

My friend has been dealing with pretty bad money troubles and a lot of things that he needs rn cannot be paid for.

The first few things are food and he is living paycheck to paycheck (alongside his fiance) with these bills.

The biggest issue is that he has a skin condition that progressively gets worse if he does not apply steroid cream which is expensive and he doesn't have. This is also not a condition that can be cured so he needs to continuously get this steroid cream. If he doesn't stop the progression of the disease, it'll cause severe damage on the areas (he doesn't wanna specify all the areas of the condition) of his skin which will need surgery that he will have to fully pay for since it is technically cosmetic surgery.

His condition has been stable for a while, but has recently gotten worse and worse to the point where parts of the patches are chipping off of him.

you’ll find a good amount of details in here, but the main gist is that my qpp (disabled, demigirl, and one of the loves of my life) has been living with her abuser for 7 years now but she finally has the ability to see what they’ve been doing and wants out. she's lived with them for a long time now and all of her items are currently at their house though, so she has to 1) retrieve her items and 2) find a new place to live. number 1 is the most important part right now, but we're also trying to account for number 2 in the long term. right now, she’s staying at a hotel and has been for about 2 weeks.

they’ve been trying to get in contact with her for those 2 weeks including over discord, by phone and by her mother’s phone, with some... very interestingly worded stuff that reallyyyyyy comes off as threatening, talking about the shared financial account they have and the state of her items. we’re worried that if we take too long, something might happen to her belongings and she doesn’t have the money to replace much if that happens. this is 7 years worth of items, so it’s a pretty big deal to get as much as possible back for her.

after we get her items, we plan to get her an apartment. right now, she’s applied to a low income/disabled restriction housing place, but we’re not sure how long it’ll take for her to be processed, so we’re looking for short-term renting in the mean time just in case. the majority of money we raise will be going to that housing, whether its for the hotel room she’s staying at now or the apartment that she’ll hopefully be able to get.

PLEASE please please spread this around and donate if you can!! she deserves a happy life where she isn’t under the thumb of someone else. she’s an amazing person and i wouldn’t be where i am without her, and i know she deserves the same kindness that she gives out. so, please, spread the word if you can <3
