Encanto: Madrigal Family Relationship Analysis Part 23 - Bruno and Mirabel

They were one of my favorite dynamics from the movie. Both have such a deep, intimate, understanding, and loving bond; plus, they are an uncle and niece, which is rare to see in most forms of media. The seflless acts they perform for each other is mutual and constant - Bruno exiled himself to protect Mirabel from possible ostracizing; Mirabel stating that Bruno doesn't cause bad visions and that "family wierdos" like them get a bad rep; Bruno telling Mirabel she's what their family needs (something Mirabel most likely wanted to hear); Mirabel defending Bruno from Alma's harsh accusations; Bruno running on horseback to protect Mirabel again from Alma's supposed anger. They have hardly interacted prior to the movie (with Jared Bush confirming that Bruno began alienating from the family before the time Mirabel was 5) and yet quickly form a healthy and collaborative bond speaks volumes to their profound kinship. And for some extra trivia, in the Japanese version of the movie, Mirabel referred to Bruno as "Bruno-oniichan" (an affectionate term younger siblings use to refer to their older brother); this means that Mirabel (at least in the Japanese version), thinks of Bruno as more of a brother than an uncle. In fact, their whole relationship is more like a brother-sister than an uncle-niece. They each give each other the validation and respect they don't often receive from their family and community, especially before the movie's conclusion. And they are symbolically tied to one - Bruno's green eyes is similar to Mirabel's green glasses and both bare a strong resemblance to each other (and deceased patriarch Pedro). And as for the strong resemblance part, I have a headcanon, that if anyone outside the village were to meet the duo, they automatically assume their father and daughter. And that adds another headcanon of mine: While Mirabel does have a loving and affectionate bond with Agustin, I think a part of her also views Bruno as another father figure. Similarly, while Bruno loves all his nieces and nephews equally, I think a part of him views Mirabel as more of a daughter. I can also see them being the type of best friends who constantly trade sarcastic quips and banter (with a dark sense of humor), basically having their own language. They are a true team and duo of loyal friends, who just GET each other.

During a mission, Peter gets trapped under a building and tells the Avengers he’s hurt, but not the extent of it, so they don’t worry about it. AKA Peter is too selfless for his own good and the Avengers make sure to tell him he matters.

Summary:

Peter's trapped beneath a collapsed building during a mission, hurt and unable to move. Luckily, his comm still works. Unluckily, the Avengers don’t realise how bad of a state Peter is in, and Peter isn’t inclined to tell them.

“Spidey, they’ve got reinforcements. We’ve hit a bit of a snag here, and I don’t think anyone will be able to help you for a while. Think you can sit tight while we deal with this?”

The pressure on his lower back and legs was becoming too much. Peter swallowed thickly, fighting down panic. He could handle this.

“Yeah,” Peter said. “I can do that.”

I think the theme of ‘ego’ would be profound here and how one defines it. In a way, this can bring a profound, long search for what we call ‘I’, and thus always make the individual redefine and re-remember what is called ‘I’. There is a chance of someone operating from a seflless and rather detached point but weirdly enough, this selflessness is motivated by an idea of this is who you are ought to be. Perceiving and receiving can be a crucial here, your motivations might not always be very clear to you, acting more from a subconscious level. Trying to manage the bridge between being in the light and the shadows, at the beginning uncertainness and thus cautiousness can dominate the decision maing but it can beautifully grow into a feeling of peaceful and calm knowing of where and when to shine, there's almost an effortlessnes to it. Wanting to take part meaningfully and find a place where they can be part of in their full glory. The Leo energy can seem 'redcued' at first, but it's just because the 12th hosue 'damps' the effect of every sign, as it can give the effect of 'rediscovering' what has already been inside you.

As for the 18th degree, this part of 'illness' can be a possible way of it manifesting, but it can also mean strong dedication and being shown by life where you will find yourself being of service and dedicated to in a very selfless manner

BAGUIO CITY, Feb. 22 (PIA) --- City officials led by Mayor Benjamin Magalong   unveiled a river stone sculpture called “The Golden Blood”   in recognition of the many sacrifices and dedication of all COVID-19 frontliners who continue to serve and protect the people.

The eight-foot art piece  patterned  to a drop  of  blood plasma  with hallowed  middle  that portrays  the  frontliners for all their sacrifices  in  the battle against the coronavirus disease, stands  at the Rizal Park below the city hall.   

A blood plasma -look marker erected  at Rizal Park in Baguio City  honors  frontliners for their the seflless services  n  the fight against all  Covid-19 frontliners.

Inscribed at the bottom of the sculpture reads,  “Behold the modern day heroes, dressed in white, in camouflage, in all colors, braving against the unseen enemy , saving lives of humanity.” 

The art piece    was  crafted by internationally-awarded Cordilleran sculptor Gilbert “Bergano” Alberto. It took him three months to finish the art work. that was unveiled last Feb. 15. 

'I am asking everyone to appreciate and respect the art work because it is dedicated to our dear frontliners, who are risking their lives to protect us from Covid-19,'  he said.

The project is a collaboration between the City Government and the Society of Outstanding Citizens of Baguio (SOCOB).

SOCOB member  Councilor Betty Lourdes Tabanda said  they recognize  the work and selfless sacrifices of the front liners and  and they thought  of  honoring them with an artwork.

The  SOCOB conducts the annual search for outstanding citizens  to be awarded during the Baguio Charter Day on September 1, but last year they decided to forgo the search because of the pandemic . Instead they opted to  erect a marker as a tribute to the frontliners. (JDP/JBZ PIA CAR)

does everyone seek acknowledge when they do something nice? is doing something nice only worthwhile if it is wholly seflless? when you get gifts for people you love at birthdays and holidays, do you do it entirely for them, or also so they they will know how much you love them and be pleased that you thought of them? these are natural, unavoidable things, and that's okay imo. but if you think they are bad, you don't have to participate. but also do you need to fight this effort of positivity?

These are two different concepts. I don’t agree with your comparison because for one Freddie, Louis are strangers to you. You don’t know them. They are not your friends, your family, your neighbour or your acquaintance.

Also I am not at all fighting this effort of positivity. An anon sent me an ask and I answered. That’s all that I did. My opinion or view offended some people and this is what happened. 

I did not contact anyone about it. I did not go on someone’s post and said I think the project is pointless. If I did not get the ask I would have kept quiet about it.

As I’ve said, you do you. If you want to go and create the hashtag go for it.
