Deep in the secluded waters of Vesrah, an altar dedicated to the Moonweaver watches over all who call it home 🌙
Loved taking part in @artists-guild-of-exandria #TGTT Tal'dorei South project!

i do think the funniest thing any of the gods in exandria have done is that the moonweaver was essentially "yes and"ing artagan during his stunt at travelercon.

fjord my beloved paladin sailor who accidentally ended up wielding a vestige of divergence that looks like water. a blade forged by the love and conflict of the wildmother and the moonweaver. who fell in love with a blue trickster cleric and found family in one of melora’s death clerics. who was saved in a dream by the image of melora and who helped save jester from the rule of the moonweaver. fjord who was given the last name stone out of cruel apathy that somehow spun itself into an affirmation of the path he chose to live, maybe for the first time as just himself with no mask. who earned the blade’s exalting when he killed avantika and affirmed his choice to protect the seas for the wildmother instead of maybe one day control them with uk’otoa.

@davheira location: Crescent Grove, Arvandor notes: now that I have your attention, bubble with me
Ivory light fell across the Crescent Grove, gleaming palaces rolled into the silver forests, from the parapet of her Outlook, Arvandor's splendor laid itself before them. Telperion's silver trunk and looming branches danced across the distant sky above them as Laurelin rose in the distant horizon with equal splendor. Paradise for the Seldarine was vast, limitless in some regards, but the people here had not been without anguish. Peace required sacrifice, it demanded death, Sehanine knew this better than most.
Raven hair that fell like a blanket of stars rested down the length of her shoulder. Placid and unmoving, like settled pitch or the sky itself; everything about the Goddess was still, it would have been easy to assume that her eyes would be cold but they were anything but. Warm ambers that fixed with unnerving certainty, they were the flickering candles of lanterns guiding travelers through the dark of the night. A goddess of night and dreams but also death. When Sehanine had died, the moon hid itself away so that it did not have to watch.
"Well," Sehanine prompted, "you are a bard are you not? Sing: tell me a story that I have not yet heard. Tell me your story." She canted her head delicately, "You came here for allies, convince me." A stone basin stood between them as she sat on a throne of woven moonlight, the basin itself was filled with placid waters and from all angles a full lunar moon was clearly visible despite there being none above them. She was its source and its goddess and when the lycans of Davheira's realm howled in anguish it was her heart that they pulled upon.

In less than 24 hours, Sehanine went from being a kid who puts flowers in Senrico’s hair in his dreams, to a giant eldritch galaxy entity. And she’s also his mom, apparently.
The Moonweaver in our Tal’dorei campaign is a lot.

Last week we defeated Strahd and lifted the Curse from Borovia. His scrying is no doubt how he learned we were in the Amber Temple. Thank the gods that Ret spied him at the bridge that led from the mountains to the low hills. It was a massive bridge, likely 20ft (~7 meters) wide, but quite long and flanked by two huge statues I guessed were golems. Thanks to Ret we were able to retreat and sleep under the protection of a Leomund's Hut. I had near to no spells left in me. Also thank the gods that Strahd somehow did not discover where we slept. A simple Dispel Magic would be enough to dismiss it, and it also offers to protection from attacks beneath the earth.
The next dawn we faced off against Strahd. As I feared, he revealed the statues to be golems under his control. Arnynn charged forward at once because of course he did. I swear that elf has a death wish. I rushed in to keep him from finding a grave ending immediately. Gwen evoked up a wall of fire on the golems, and Elric laid into them with his 10 deadly coins. I'm not quite sure what the human was up to, except I did see him doing some monkey flips and jumps.
I had cast Sehanine Moonbow's Circle of Power and immediately recognized how pivotal it might be in this fight for possibly our very souls, so I cast a Sanctuary upon myself. I haven't ever cast a Sanctuary upon myself before. It was enough to stop the golems from attacking me, even Strahd himself (thank Goddess).
Elric did a fair amount of counter-spelling. Strahd used the same deadly coin spell that Elric uses, against Elric! We kept him from death. But Arnynn. Poor Arnynn.
The evil vampire Count descended from the tower and in a flash laid into our proud demon-hunter, nearly tearing his soul right out of his body. If it hadn't been for Gwen's Moonbeam...
But we did it. I've left out a lot, but we did it. And now... now we rest.

Lyrengorn-born Elven twins, Dakaré (left) and Nehmes (right) Faine.
One a Bloodhunter, the other a Bladesinger.
One a cleric of the Raven Queen, the other a temple guard of the Moonweaver.
(Fantastic art by Jensen Couch, @/threegoblinsinacoat on Twitter.)

Another stained glass portrait, this one of the Moonweaver as she appears in my D&D campaign. @paintbubbles did one a while ago and asked me to draw it in my style, and here we are. Honestly these are fun enough that I might offer them as commissions.
