i truly do not believe that there is enough discourse on this site about stacy and how she violated house's autonomy. let me preface this by saying that i do in fact love stacy as a character, however i think what she did was incredibly wrong, especially considering she shows no remorse for what she did.
in one breath, part of me is able to understand why she did what she did. i mean, she saw him go into cardiac arrest once, and she was obviously worried about it happening again while he was in his coma. that being said, house was very clear about what he wanted, and what he wanted was to see if he could heal on his own, but in a medically induced coma so that he didn't have to suffer through the painful parts of the recovery. he very well could have pulled through and lived the rest of his life pain free. but because he gave her the role of his medical proxy, the decision was ultimately up to her under the circumstances that he was physically unable to advocate for himself, and since he was in a coma, that's where the medical decisions were now in her hands. but instead of allowing house to have the chance to heal on his own, she waited until he was physically unable to communicate his needs and wants and immediately signed the consent forms that ultimately crippled him.
i wholeheartedly believe that had stacy actually given him the chance to have his way and something ended up happening to him and then she signed the consent forms, he would have been less bitter when he woke up to find out that she had gone behind his back and essentially abused her position as his medical proxy. she knew what he wanted, completely disregarded it and violated his autonomy. she consistently reminds him that she "saved his life" when he tries to voice how hurt he is by what she did as an attempt to shut him down, but neither of them will ever actually know if she saved his life. he could have pulled through and lived a normal life but she had to go and do what she wanted.
and i think what makes it all worse is that the second stacy had to face the consequences of her own actions during his recovery, she walked away because he was miserable. she created that mess and couldn't even be there to clean it up because she realized that he was nothing more than a burden on her.
again, i'm not going to sit here and say that her call was a bad call. it very well could have saved his life, but it's the fact that she went behind his back and waited until he was unable to advocate for himself that bothers me. it's no wonder he doesn't trust anybody.

im on 1x22 and honestly how can anyone not love and adore Stacy?
She knew House would send Chase and Foreman to her and Mark's home and she left them a plate of cookies to enjoy during their "highly illegal search".
Amazing woman.

Batman: The Animated Series - Paper Cut-Out Portraits and Profiles
Calendar Girl
Page Monroe had been a highly successful fashion model and actress.  Her gorgeous face was plastered across countless magazine, billboards and television screens and she walked in fashion shows all over the world.  As she grew older, however, it became increasingly difficult to stay atop of the industry.   Before long, younger models were being offered jobs that used to go to her.
Vigorous exercise regimens, dieting and plastic surgeries failed to regain Monroe her former fame.  Enraged, she became a recluse and disappeared.
Years later, Monroe reemerged as the mysterious masked villainess known as The Calendar Girl.  Armed with thematic weapons and flanked by henchmen, Monroe abducted the key individuals whom she saw as responsible for the demise of her career.  This included a noted fashion designer and an automobile magnate.
Batman and Batgirl were able to surmise The Calander Girl’s true identity and tracked her down to an abandoned nightclub called ‘Faces.’
The two were able to defeat the villainess and her goons and rescue her hostages.  When the police arrived to take the suspects into custody, Detective Bullock removed Calendar Girl’s mask.  She shrieked in horror, not wanting anyone to see her horrible visage.  Which was quite confusing in that her face was actually quite beautiful.  Batman remarked that the agism of society had twisted Monroe to the point that she could only see herself as ugly.
Actress  Sela Ward provided the voice for Page Monroe, with the villainess appearing in the ninth episode of the first season of The New Batman Adventures, ‘Mean Seasons.’

isn't there like a backstory with the actress who played Calendar Girl also being an advocate against agism in Hollywood
Yes.  Sela Ward provided the voice for Page Monroe.  Ward is a well established actress best known for a television show called Sisters.  She also played Harrison Ford’s doomed wife in the movie version of The Fugitive.
As the story goes, she was considered for a role in the James Bond movie Golden Eye, but lost the role because she was deemed too old… despite being nearly ten years junior to the film’s star, Pierce Brosnan.  The experience left quite a mark on Ward, who would go on to develop and produced a documentary called ‘The Changing Face of Beauty.’  The film focuses on American obsession with youth and how this has an especially negative effect on women, their self-esteem and psychological wellbeing.

The Mean Seasons episode of The New Batman Adventures also focused on how models and actresses can come to feel disposable once they reach a certain age.  Considering the similarity of themes between Mean Seasons and The Changing Face of Beauty, having Ward voice Monroe seems a particularly apt casting decision.
