40 YEARS OF DISNEY CHANNEL

On 18 April, 1983, The Disney Channel (rebranded as just “Disney Channel” in 1997) launched on cable television in the US. Throughout its 40 year history, Disney Channel has created over 80 original series and over 100 original movies, many of which have come to be considered cultural classics. The network is also responsible for launching the careers of some of the world’s biggest superstars, including Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, Zac Efron, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, Zendaya, and Olivia Rodrigo (to name a few). Several generations of kids have grown up with Disney Channel and its lasting cultural impact surpasses that of any other children’s television network.

I, personally, am so grateful to have grown up watching Disney Channel, and even more grateful to rediscover my love for it as an adult. So many of my interests and tastes today have been impacted by Disney Channel. I’ve made so many friends and memories because of our shared love for these stories. Thank you, Disney Channel, for the stories, the characters, the friends and the joy you’ve brought me throughout my life. I can’t wait to see what’s coming next.

Welcome one and all to this blog’s first ever

SAD GIRL TOURNAMENT

We here at the sadboytournement are not just “absolute wet cat of a man” appreciators, but “absolute wet cat of a woman” appreciators. And in that spirit, I will be having them compete who is the saddest of them all.

The rules are as follows

1) NO REAL ASS PEOPLE! You can do fictionalized versions of real people but not actual real people. So SPECIFY in your submission. And don’t be cute by submitting a biopic (1997’s Selena is not ok but Netflix’s Queen Charlotte is if you want a point of reference)

2) No anti-propaganda/character hate. I know how many female characters get absolutely vitriolic hate for basically no reason and I won’t allow it on this blog. If you send anti-propaganda it won’t get posted

3) No casts of characters!!!!!!!! I don’t want you putting “every woman in Supernatural”. You’re allowed to make multiple submissions just do that

4) On that note, and this is more an honor system thing than something I can enforce but please DO NOT spam the form with the same character over and over

5) DO NOT send me anon hate about propaganda or a lack thereof. You know who you are

6) And Finally! SEND IN PROPAGANDA! Have fun with it! Tell me why she’s so sad! Polls thrive on it. I also encourage reblogs on the posts proper

Show/Movies I would show the Helluva Boss characters

This is rlly random but this started with the thought of Blitz liking MLP and kinda spiraled from there.

Blitzø

MLP: I think this one is pretty self-explanatory. I think he would like the ponies and the whole friendship thing. Actuakky think he would bully a brony to get a figure of his favs (and tell them to shower). He would probs love Pinkie Pie. (this stemmed from This Day Aria playing lol)

Spirit: horse.

Loona

Teen Wolf: A show I know nothing about. Just would show it to her. This would probably get me killed.

Alpha and Omega: I wouldn't even get to 10 minutes in the movie. I am dead

Moxxie

Steven Universe (both the shows and movie): Purely because of the music. If anything, he would also enjoy the animation and he would LOVEE Pearl. He would create a teir list of all the songs and rate them.

Sooo many movies to show him, but I would show him, but I have to say Chicago. Once he learns the songs it's over for literally everyone.

Millie

Tbh not really a show, but any crime documentary or documentaries with the baby animals.

Selena (1997): I think Millie would LOVEE Selena, and I also want to instill the hatered ofYolanda into her. That woman could never have too many haters.

Stolas

Any historic romance drama (like Bridgerton): We already know he loves telenovelas, so I also think that he would love the messiness of the relationships. You know how in every season, the main couple would have an arguement and not talk for a while? He is sobbing like a baby LMFAO- Also would show him any romance K-drama, esp the BL ones.

Moulin Rouge: Kinda historic, but mainly bc it has main character death lol he would also enjoy the music.

Striker

Moonshiners: I have no idea what this show is about, probably about people making moonshine. Never really watched it,but I have seen glimpses of it when my grandpa would watch it. Think because of it, he would probs try to make his own moonshine.

The Godfather: He would probs like all the violence lol. it just fits him idk kekw

Asmodeus

Grey's Anatomy: Not because it's a doctor show, but because it's SOOO MESSY LMFAOO- Have y'all seen that one tik tok of the person with the chart of who slept with who? That would be Ozzie. Also think he would love the drama.
