Nearly Half of US Homeowners Considered ‘Equity Rich’ according to a new report from ATTOM Data Solutions. Florida was among the top 5 states where the share of equity-rich mortgaged homes increased the most in Q4 2021 compared to Q1 2022.

The housing market is seeing its greatest New Year's jump in five years, with demand for all types of property skyrocketing.
Facts to Remember
In December 2020, the average house price in the UK was £242,000, up 7.4% from December 2020.
The current time to agree on a sale is shorter than the UK average.
Property demand increased by 49 percent in January, the highest jump in the New Year in five years.
According to our latest House Price Index, purchasers looked for both homes and flats, resulting in record demand for all property categories.
The surge in purchasers was comparable to the high levels of interest recorded during the stamp duty holiday, indicating that the hunt for space is still ongoing.
The increased activity pushed up the average price of a property in the UK to £242,000, up from £216,500 this time last year.
Buyers eager to make a move before interest rates rise again may be starting to put their present houses for sale now, resulting in an increase in availability.
Even yet, subsequent rate hikes are unlikely to have a significant influence on the housing market, as mortgage rates remain low by historical standards, and the majority of homeowners will be sheltered from future rate hikes due to the fact that three-quarters of homeowners have fixed rate mortgages.
