“I wanted to…I wanted to ask you guys something?” Ethan stops and chews on his bottom lip.

“Ask us what?” Chad quirks an eyebrow.

“Things are good again between Y/n and I, and Samara just started daycare. And I know that I sometimes spend the night here, which you find weird cause I have my own place now, but there was a reason why I searched for a bigger pace and I-“

“Ethan.” Sam laughs.

“Yeah?” Ethan stops his rambling.

“Get to the point dude.” Chad swirls his finger.

“Right yeah. Yeah um….Okay, okay. I’m just come out and say it.” Ethan inhaled deeply then exhales. “I-I want to ask for your permission to ask Y/n to marry me.” There it was. The ball was dropped. His eyes flicker back and forth between them, who were trying to process what he just said.

“Hold up am I hearing this right…” Chad leans back.

“You want our blessing to marry her?” Sam chides in confused.

“Yea.” Ethan nods seriously.

“You’re asking us for our blessing…” Chad trails off.

“Look I know it’s stupid-“ Ethan sighs.

“No it’s not stupid-“ Sam begins to reassure him.

“It’s kind of stupid-“ Chad begins but Sam smacks him.

“I know how much she means to you both, and I know that’s it’s taken awhile to gain your trust back, but…I want this. I want to be with her. I want to start a life with her with our daughter. Look I know you still have your doubts…” Ethan’s voice cracks.

“No we don’t-“

“I still kind of do- ow!” Chad complains.

“But I want what we have to be for real. Married to her…” Ethan shakily pulls out the box he kept in his pocket. “If you’ll allow me to. I want to ask her to marry me.” His eyes start brimming with tears.

Ethan steps back when Chad gets up, thinking he was going to get pummeled.

“Chad!” Sam was about to get up but grows confused when Ethan gets embraced by him instead. He stays still until he slowly hugs him back. Chad pulls back cupping the sides of his face. Tears in his own eyes, sniffling as he nods.

“You want to marry her…”

“Yeah…” Ethan breathes out.

“You son of bitch…” Though the curse of his words don’t stab like an insult but rather one of disbelief. “If you hurt her Bailey-“

“I’m a dead man I know.” He breathes out laugh.

“Let me see that ring.” Chad gestures for the box and whistles when the simple yet elegant diamond is revealed. “Oh yeah…He’s serious Sam!” Chad beckons her over. She walks over and peers over his shoulder gasping.

“Oh that must’ve cost you a fortune…” She cups her mouth. Tears watering in her eyes now.

“Mostly tutoring sessions and two jobs…It was well worth it though.” A small smile appears on his lips.

“You’re gonna take good care of her…” Chad clasps his shoulder blade. “And Samara. You’re a shitty ghostface, but you’re a damn good dad. You know that?”

“So you keep telling me.” Ethan chuckles.

“You have our blessing.” Sam finally says and brings him in for a hug. She pulls back and cups his face smiling gently. “Now we’re just need to figure out how you’re gonna ask her.”

“She wouldn’t want anything big. Something small with all of us together.” Ethan nods.

“We’ll think of something.” Sam nods.

“There’s no fucking way you bought this.” Chad keeps examining the ring. He runs a hand down his mouth. “No fucking way. Who’d you rob?”

“Chad!” Sam scoffs.

“What…look at this thing!” He gestured to the box.

“Alright give it back before you lose it.” Sam takes the box out of his hands and hands it back to Ethan.

Thinking about potential in-universe reasons why Kim Kitsuragi has a clearly Japanese-sounding surname but is named Kim, a common Korean surname:

1. Seol just has vaguely Japanese sounding phonemes and doesn't follow irl naming customs. I mean it's not like it's a real country they can do whatever they want

2. Kim is short for Kimberly / Joakim / Kimiko (that being said Kimiko is feminine)

3. Kim is short for Коммунистический Интернационал Молодежи (Young Communist International)

4. Kim is actually his family name and Kitsuragi is his given name but East Asian naming structures are family name + given name instead of the Western naming order of given name + family name (like how Kim Jong Un's last name is Kim but you still write it before Jong-un), so when his parents wrote down his name somewhere it was written as Kim Kitsuragi even though if you follow Revacholian naming order it would be Kitsuragi Kim, but they were dead when the orphanage took him in so they weren't around to set them straight. The two names from different cultures can be explained by saying one of his parents was from the Korean part of Seol and the other was from the Japanese part, plus I’m 90% sure Kitsuragi isn’t a real name but Kim *is*, so Kitsuragi doesn’t necessarily have to be a surname while Kim does

Seol Egbert, 25, he/him.

the youngest twin of the duo, Seol is known for being relatively detached and emotionally uninterested in the world around him, he works a low level marketing archival job for Crocker Corp after turning down duel partnership with his twin brother, Mihu. Mihu and Seol got along very very well and used to run a youtube channel together where they'd do "family pranks" as well as parkour videos, and just various videos about their interests. Seol is generally pretty carefree, with a very low work ethic he's been a blight on the family company for years. The two of them were sent to a military boot camp in their late teens in an attempt to smooth them out, and all it did was make Seol even more apprehensive to following the path his father set out for him. Seols favorite movie is the matric, his favorite colors are blue and green, and he likes to hoverboard. His favorite activity is to be a workplace nuisance.

Mihu Crocker, 25, he/him or she/her

the older twin of the duo, Mihu has become quite the mystery as of late, after his time in the camp he was set up perfectly to take over the company, Crocker Corp being a company that archives media and government documents (as well as many other things. crockers reach is massive). Mihu growing up was very similar to Seol in many ways, the two of them were the type of twins you could only tell apart by looks, personality wise it was like they were the same person. Mihu loved to pretend to be Seols much older brother, often taking a parental role as they grew up together. After camp, Mihu became very focused on his leadership role, eventually quickly climbing the ranks and proving himself worthy as the heir of the company. He and Seols relationship completely crumbled because of it, Seol was under the impression the two of them would be on the same side, fighting gainst the machine together. Mihu has gone a bit power mad, not to an extreme extent, but being given power after having no AUTONOMY over even himself for years has been messing with his head.
