Fic Excerpt - post-Been and Gone

A smol excerpt IN WHICH! Noel Gallagher, post-Glastonbury, is very, very drunk, and has just had (disastrous! amazing!) phone sex with his brother. Liam is sober and finds this all highly, highly amusing. ENJOY:

“Didn’t think you had it in you, Noely G.”

“To be fair, I am completely fucking wasted.” Noel half-laughs, knowing he was going to regret all of this very, very soon.

“Well fucking stay wasted, you dick. Was fucking amazing.”

“Yeah?”

“Yeah.” Liam’s voice has gone all soft and warm. “Missed that.”

“Better in person, though.”

“Well find a taxi and get over here. I’ll blow your fucking mind tonight.”

“There’s no taxis out here, you idiot.”

“Right, then, let’s get you done now. C’mon, there’s gotta be an empty teepee round there somewhere.”

“I am not wanking in the middle of fucking Glastonbury.”

Liam’s already laughing, because it’s an old joke, because with Liam’s vocabulary and attention span, the phone sex thing really only ever worked one way.

“Go on, love. Get your kecks down.”

“In your dreams,” Noel suggests, cheek resting against his fist.

“Yeah,” Liam agrees.

Noel looks up, and he can see the stars coming out. Not Ireland bright, but they might come close if not for the stadium lights.

“Did I say you were mega tonight?”

“At which part?” Noel grins, all dopey and tequila slow.

“The show, you egotistical dick.”

“You’re a fucking show. A smokeshow,” he mouths the word in an exaggerated American accent.

“Who the fuck are you, and what’ve you done with my brother?”

“I am tequila. And I’ve replaced your very fit, superbly talented, and extremely intelligent brother with an idiot.”

“My idiot.”

“Ye-ess,” Noel giggles, just a little bit.

“Well fucking keep the other one. Think I like this version better.”

“I’m afraid he’ll be gone in about,” Noel pretends to check his watch. “Six hours. Maybe less. You’ll have the mean one back after that.”

“What if I don’t want the mean one back?”

“Then fucking tough shit.”

“Ah, well. Sort of like ‘em grumpy, anyway.”

Noel wipes his hand down his face. “I really might freak out tomorrow.”

Liam makes a dismissive tsking sound. “Just get it over with. Come over for brekkie. Debbie’s making eggs benny.”

“No.”

“What if I say please?”

“That doesn’t work on me anymore.”

“Fucking did a minute ago.”

He’s got a point.

“I’ve gotta get home. Figure things out with Sara.”

“You can do that after breakfast.”

He’s got another point.

“I’m not coming for breakfast, Liam.”

“You are,” Liam laughs like he knows he’s won. “You are, you are!”

“Am not,” Noel sighs. “Am not, am not.”

“See you in the mooning,” Liam makes a kissing sound into the receiver and hangs up.

Noel covers his face and growls and throws his phone into the tree. Which he has to bend over and pick up a few seconds later.

Idiot, he thinks, and goes to find something to prolong his state of mind awhile longer.

Some things about Allan:

He’s the only one who reacts to the narrator

He’s the only doll (besides the Weird House) who isn’t swayed in some way by Ken’s takeover

He also declares himself as “Ken's buddy" (making canon his official box description) which makes his inability to be swayed more interesting

He has bendable legs (probably the only reason he tries to jump the fence instead of going around like everyone else)

He easily decked a half-dozen construction Kens and could probably singlehandedly win the Ken fight

He seems to know more about the real world than most Barbies

He knows what NSYNC is

He knows about other Allan copies living in the real world (I’m trying to figure out if he made this up to convince the humans he can live in the real world, but even if he did, how does he know what NSYNC is???)

There are no other Allan models

For those who don't know:

An Awakening is when a Devil Fruit user's mind and body catch up to their powers. When a Devil Fruit's power is awakened, the increased abilities allow greater power, more refined control, and new abilities that would otherwise not be possible. The awakening depends on the type of Devil Fruit. It takes time to fully master awakened powers; if they haven't been mastered, they can still be used, but they take a serious toll on the user's stamina. This also applies to Special Paramecias.

Awakened Paramecias usually grant the user a wider area of effect for their abilities, transform the environment around them to match the nature of their fruit, manipulate the material from afar, with their minds, in any way they desire. That being said, there are a few Awakened abilities that show unique traits despite the general idea between them being similar.

Awakened Zoans are a gamble; they grant greater strength, speed, durability and enhanced healing, but since Zoans grant the abilities of a living creature they have a will of their own and thus can cause the user to be overwhelmed by the animalistic nature of the fruit, turning them into a giant, deformed version of a Hybrid Form, one that is mostly animal with few human attributes and fewer intelligence, acting mostly out of instinct; it's unknown if this change is permanent or if it's by choice.

However, if one were to have the willpower to overcome the fruit's animal nature they would gain a new, sleeker, powerful transformation known as an Awakened Form. These are recognized by flaming hair and a scarf of flaming smoke around the user. The color of the smoke represents the user's morality, white for good and black for evil.

There aren't any canon Awakened Logia's, yet. The most popular theory is that an Awakened Logia can permanently change the enviroment to match the nature of their fruit. This spawned from a fight between the users of the Magu Magu (Magma) and Hie Hie (Ice) no Mis, permanently transformed the island of Punk Hazard; making one half a frozen tundra and the other half into basically hell. Another example to support this theory is the user of the Sand-Sand Fruit, who can dry up anything he touches and transform it into a barren desert.

Something I myself came up with is that an Awakened Logia user also has total control of their given element. This was inspired by Kizaru, user of the Pika Pika no Mi (Glint/Light), who can make light-weapons and clones of himself.

-Goe Goe no Mi (Shout): Even more powerful beams, more precise control, precise enough to control their shape, making them solid and able to use as weapons; make an orb that can be stored and used as a grenade. Can also turn the screams of others into beams and make them attack each other, which would also affect their communication.

-Nemu Nemu no Mi (Sleep): Bigger area of effect and being able to manifest dreams into the real world.

-Atsu Atsu no Mi (Hot): Standard Paramecia Awakening; can generate even more heat and has more precise control, like the Goe Goe no Mi. Can control anything that generates heat by touching it, like lava, fire, steam, hot coal, etc.

-Mosa Mosa no Mi (Grow): Bigger range, enhancing the strength, durability and regeneration of plants and can even revive dead plants.

-Modo Modo no Mi (Return): Can de-age things even further and from a distance.

-Moa Moa no Mi (More): Standard Paramecia Awakening; can multiply up to 200 times and can multiply the speed and strength of others as well.

-Goru Goru no Mi (Gold): Actually Awakened. Greater influence over the gold under their control, creating a complex sensory network. Any disturbances on the gold will be noticed.

-Raki Raki no Mi (Luck): Can absorb luck from people from a distance, can share the luck with others, imbue it into objects, is able to control what the luck is spent on, can also remotely control and swap the luck of others.

-Uta Uta no Mi (Sing): Standard Paramecia Awakening; the user can manifest Uta World into real life, is omniscient and omnipresent within it and can control anyone who hears them sing whether they be awake or not.

-Kote Kote no Mi (Grab): More hands, can control living things, but can be overcome by great willpower and the amount of control over something, like changing their size, gender, color, shape, adding or removing limbs.

-Mari Mari no Mi (Marionette): Clones are more powerful and are created with just eye contact.

. Inu Inu no Mi (Dog), Model: Bake-danuki: The only awakened Mythical Zoans are Luffy and Jaygarcia Saturns; besides the standard Zoan awakening, no one knows what they do.

-Ryu Ryu no Mi (Dragon), Model: Stegosaurus: Same with Ancients.

-Kame Kama no Mi (Sickle): Shaper nails=Stronger air blades, don't need to be sharpened and can also use toenails.

-Kopi Kopi no Mi (Copy): Can copy powers from a distance and share them with others.

-Gutsu Gutsu no Mi (Smelt): Standard Paramecia Awakening, can absorb ore via touch and turn anything else into a furnace, even other living beings.

-Peto Peto no Mi (Pet): Bigger range of control, the collars home in on their targets and can give commands via thought.

-Iro Iro no Mi (Color): Standard Paramecia Awakening; can generate their own paint.

-Bijo Bijo no Mi (Vision): Standard Paramecia Awakening; the holograms are more realistic.

-Deri Deri no Mi (Delivery): Standard Paramecia Awakening; can deliver anything that is within the user's range, but only if they know it's in their range.

-Kone Kone no Mi (Knead):

-Bana Bana no Mi (Burner): Standard Paramecia Awakening, can absorb the jealousy of others and use it for themselves, and share their own jealousy into others, either to empower allies or cause discourse among enemies.

-Hiso Hiso no Mi (Whisper): Can create a psychic link to share the communication with others, can make the animals just straight up speak and can give the user the ability to hear The Voice of All Things.

Now, you are probably wondering where are the other fruits. Well, I didn't add them in here because those ones subscribed to the standard awakening abilities that I have already disclosed and didn't have anything noteworthy to expand upon.
