Serqet, Goddess of medicine and poison, is a very mysterious and quiet goddess whose presence is both frightening and reassuring at the same time, depending on the situation she is called to preside. Daughter of Neith and younger sister of Sobek, she is a loyal apprentice to Isis and a firm follower of Horus the Young, to whom she fell so madly in love she gifted him with her Seven Scorpions Guardians to watch over him wherever he goes.

Unfortunately, her love is one sided, but she doesn't seem to mind it, for as long as he is fine and, most importantly, he is taking his medicines!

Currently awaiting a proper statue for Amun-Ra, and need to get Mama Anupet a bigger jackal (I thought the itty bitty one was gonna be as big as Dad and Wep’s 😭) but!! It feels SOOO good to have Them all represented somehow!! 💜

Also please excuse the fuzz and ashes on the shrine cloth, I own a lot of black faux fur that sheds on everything, and ashes are kinda par for the course with incense smh

Lady Serqet is the daughter of Ra. Her sisters include Sekhmet, Mafdet, Hathor, and Bastet.

Serqet's keen knowledge with medicines and poisons is highly-valued, but also makes her a potentially dangerous goddess to cross. Despite her morbid teasing and playfulness, she's 'mostly harmless' to those who amuse her, and can be a reliable ally to the few who win her favor.

Starting week 3 with the last of Ra's daughters, Serqet! I have a lot of fun with her playful character, more than I initially expected, and I enjoy featuring her when I can.

I should also confirm that Serqet's design is -- aha -- more indulgent than many of the other ladies in the pantheon, but at this point that's intentional. (I think I'm allowed one design with an impractical underboob window okay--)

Fun facts for Serqet though, uhhhhhh… Aside from the facts I shared about her relationship with her sisters and with Horus, I'm drawing quite the blank. But yes, half of Serqet's featured art is of her teasing the falcon prince with euphemisms and innuendos. All in good fun, of course, and better than the poison-laced (?) blade she flexed with during their first encounter.

POV: your mom/a wierd scorpion goddess gave you seven huge-ass scorpions as bodyguards when you were just a baby. The Scorpions hate you, but they swore to be by your side no matter the cost.

Sometimes they sting you for no fucking reasons, so when you grow up you end up marrying them to repay your debt. They become queens, everyone's happy.

But they still sting you from time to time cause they still hate you.

You can try rummaging through my server tag to see if anything is in there. I don't really focus on her, so I don't have a lot of resources at hand.

As for offerings, offer her what you'll eat. Water is always a good place to start. Remember that complicated doesn't always equate to better, and the gods were often offered the same stuff on the regular.

Not many! I know that she is the goddess of healing, magic, and protection. This is a good source, and the only really good one I could find. This PDF also has some information, but it might not be exactly what you're looking for.
