Okay so something I noticed earlier (ough I have hiccups drank my cereal milk too fast) is that when Kuro has his little blow up at Lily

Here, in the bottom left panel, when he explains why he thinks Germaine might have done this (to the both of them) he looks so disdainful in the reflection of his tea. On the next page Lily drinks from his cup, symbolically swallowing down his feelings while the steam from his tea wafts across the page, obscuring Kuro’s reflection, an subsequently his expression, in his own

Really makes me think about what Lily’s feelings towards Kuro might actually be. Does he blame him for his fate? Does he think, if only you had never been born?

Does he blame the son for the sins of the father?

I use that phrasing here specifically because the Servamps meet with Kuro out of order. The one who comes before Lily was not Ildio, but Lawless, who puts forth the idea that if they are brothers, doesn’t that make Germaine their father?

Isn’t this such a good way of highlighting Lily’s duplicity, but also the ways that the years have changed him?

Because if the wrong doings of a parent reflect on their children, what would that mean for his relationship with Misono, who he loves so dearly even though Mikado committed the great sin of fearing the Servamp of Lust?

Sometimes I almost forget how many serial killers there are in servamp. Like I'm not saying you can't love them despite that, but canonically characters like lawless, tsubaki, touma and tsurugi are all serial killers.

Like, it's fiction, like what you like. But sometimes it feels like the fandom ignores that these characters killed a lot of innocent people except maybe when it comes to touma because he's just that much of an asshole. Lawless might regret it now and he does remember their names, but lawless did kill all of his eves after ophelia before he changed his mind in the main story. These people didn't do anything wrong except being "exceptional" at something. I like lawless. I like that he feels regret for killing tsubaki's subclass. I just feel like he could feel a bit more regret for killing all that mostly young, talented humans he killed because of his own issues. These people had their whole lives ahead of them.

Servamp headcanons, ice cream edition! Because my grandma got an ice cream maker and we’re all super eager to try it out but then she broke her back (she’s fine, don’t worry)

Mahiru: plain old vanilla. Misono introduced him to vanilla BEAN ice cream though and he’s feeling a little guilty about wanting to splurge a bit for the more expensive, creamier stuff… Kuro is an enabler and his encouragement is the only reason he’s still managing to resist. Just do it Mahi!

Kuro: Cookies and Cream is his favorite, but he’s also partial to cookie dough, or crumbled chocolate mint cookies as topping. He likes both the taste and the texture

Misono: chocolate lol. He’s predictable. His absolute favorite though are those ultra decadent brownie batter type of chocolate ice creams. Yknow the ones. Chocolate pieces, brownie bits, hot fudge swirl… He gets sick off the stuff easily though, so even though he loves it, self control is everything

Lily: vanilla bean with strawberry topping and cheese cake bites! He loves fresh strawberries in his desserts, and often he and Misono will trade bites if they’re getting flavor fatigue. Also very rich but the strawberry helps cuts through the sweetness

Tetsu: a Basic Boi who loves GariGariKun the most. Prefers popsicles over dairy treats. Yeah technically this isn’t ice cream but like. It’s the taste of summer and after bath refreshments. I’m not taking that from him

Hugh: vanilla with hot fudge sauce (and/or blood). He still prefers his chocolate parfaits, or better yet for this scenario, a milkshake

Licht: yknow those ultra sweet cotton candy flavors? If it’s ice cream by itself, he loves that. But if it’s a float, it’s gotta be vanilla in melon soda. If you take him to marble slab or similar place that lets you mix in a bunch of toppings, he will make a beeline for the gummy bears. Gets disappointed every time that they turn hard and unpleasant to eat, even though he already knows the outcome

Lawless: he has two favorites. Coffee bean (distinct from just plain coffee flavor) and moose tracks. I’m not sure what that’s called in other places? Basically it’s vanilla with peanut butter cups and fudge. Only goes for this when he’s depressed, if I’m honest. Otherwise it’s too sweet.

Mikuni: haagen daz amaretto almond crunch and their hojicha latte flavor. Forever sad that the former was limited edition and doesn’t make seasonal returns. It was absolutely perfect for his and jeje’s terrible Netflix movie nights (with the occasional appearance by johannes so they could make fun of the bad science together)

Jeje: since Mikuni only buys haagen daz (spoiled pretentious shit) he’s grateful they a rich pumpkin flavor that becomes available during autumn. He also really likes horchata milkshakes for the comforting taste of cinnamon.

Iduna: Tried butter pecan once and was hooked. The crunchiness of the pecans is her favorite part. It’s her go to for when Haagen Daz Creamy Vanilla Pudding flavor isn’t in season. Back home, though, it’s got to be the rather… Unique. Salty licorice flavor. She gave some to shuuhei one time just to watch him gag. She knows what she’s doing to that poor boy.

Freya: the simple freshness of strawberry ice cream is her guilty pleasure. She been thinking of making her own with an old hand churner. It would be fun, right? And it’s not like it would be difficult to get the ingredients she needs.

Nicco: Pistachio gelato, though he also enjoys the tartness and slight bitter aftertaste of limoncello flavor. He likes taking Ildio with him whenever there’s a new flavor he wants to try but isn’t sure he’ll like. Even if he doesn’t care for it, his servamp probably will. Does that make him mean?

Ildio: No preference as of yet. He’s still figuring this whole… Tasting your food thing out

Tsubaki: as expected, he loves matcha and red bean flavors. REALLY excited some of the Hagen daz hanamochi series is becoming a permanent flavor

Sakuya: rocky road. Sweet, crunchy, and a little bitter on the back end from the chocolate. Refuses to admit it but he also enjoys the hanamochi series. He’s stubborn. Whenever he wins a free popsicle he gives the stick to Mahiru, so inevitably when they hang out, that’s what he buys if they stop at the konbini, just for the chance to maybe earn some good boy points with his best friend and crush. And he thinks he’s subtle—

Servamps are now taking charge of being the Eve's main defense and offense since they're immune. He sees the fires everytime he closes his eyes

Mahiru - Uninfected, not immune

Health- Healthy, 96%

Stress: 87%

Consciousness: 100%

Mahiru has taken upon himself to start rescuing people and delivering supplies to people since he has a servamp, meaning he can be protected (as long as kuro can keep up) Hes trying to keep everyone chipper, but the stress is taking its toll on him. He should stop overworking or it'll be easier to infect his weakened body.

Envy Group

Mikuni- Uninfected, not immune

Health; Healthy, 98%

Stress: 80%

Consciousness: 100%

Mikuni is primarily worried for Misono, so he had been keeping an eye on Misono, helping him from the shadows. He doesn't fight, and no one knows what his true motives are. He appears from time to time, usually only approaching Mahiru or Misono to hand them intel or products Johannes had created to aid them. His whereabouts are constantly unknown.

Nowadays, he seems to not carry Abel around with him anymore. Mahiru wonders why...

Jeje- Immune

Health; Healthy, 100%

Stress: 60%

Consciousness: 100%

Follows Mikuni along and shoots down any infected down whenever Mikuni goes out. He never misses.

He's constantly seen around Mikuni's neck, alert and upright even in snake form. The infected had always gave him a feeling of disgust.

Johannes- ??? not immune

Health; Sickly, 87%

Stress: 90%

Consciousness: 97%

A prodigy researcher helping to discover a cure. Having a sickly body even before the infection doesn't help. His weakened body is further weakened due to his inability to fall asleep and his workaholic tendencies.

He constantly dons headphones to focus on his work, and not the pleas and groans echoing from the outside.

He trusts he is safe from the infected because it's Mikuni's shop. It should be safe, right?

Greed Pair

Licht- Uninfected, not immune

Health; Healthy, 95%

Stress; 88%

Consciousness: 100%

Licht has been worried about his parent's back in Austria. He can only have faith that they're still out there, alive. Took charge of offense, he, along with Lawless, patrols the borders and are usually on the front lines, fending the infected off. It's been getting difficult to keep up.

He hasn't played the piano for fun ever since. Screams and groans echo in his ears instead of musical notes.

Lawless - Immune

Health: Healthy, 100%

Stress: 87%

Consciousness: 100%

Together with Licht, they are sent to defend the area from the hordes of infected. The emotional stress is eating him from the inside out, and he can't help but rely on Licht to keep his emotions in check. He's worried because he can see Licht is starting to crack too.

A newly summoned rapier is used everytime they go into battle. It won't be good if it breaks halfway. Even magic has its limits.

Melancholy Team

Tsubaki- Immune

Health: Healthy, 100%

Stress: 60%

Consciousness: 100%

The camellias don't bloom anymore. He goes around, like a grim reaper, killing off any infected that had entered the late stages. He hopes it brings them peace.

The only thing keeping him rooted is his family of subclasses. He hopes they're doing well. He hasn't seen them since the infection began.

Belkia- Immune

Health: Healthy, 100%

Stress: 89%

Consciousness: 100%

A medic, helping to tend to the wounded and early infectees. He goes around with Tsubaki to rescue any possible injured, or to kill off the infected that breached the border.

He's tired. The injured and sick doesn't stop coming, and he's trying to give care to every one of his patients. Tsubaki and Belkia are what gives each other hope.

Sakuya- Immune

Health: Healthy, 100%

Stress: 78%

Consciousness: 100%

He accompanies Mahiru and helps him with whatever errand Mahiru needs to run. He doesn't need Mahiru needlessly putting himself at risk by going out and exposing himself to the infected and disease. He also helps Mahiru in distributing supplies and rescuing the sick or helping to fend off the infected.

He'll do whatever he needs to to keep Mahiru safe.

Higan- Immune

Health; ??

Stress:??

Consciousness: ??

Was sent by Tsubaki to other parts of Japan to help to contain the spread of the infection with his fire abilities while also killing off any infected. He was also ordered to keep in touch at least bi-weekly.

It had been 3 months since his last text. Nobody knows of his whereabouts.

Otogiri- Immune

Health: ??

Stress: ??

Consciousness; ??

Primarily the subclass used for assassination and the gathering of intel, she was tasked to find out more information about the virus and its origins. However, just like Higan, she hasn't been contactable in months, and is currently missing.
