i love the character development in Inuyasha... Sesshomaru’s specifically.

at first he was all like, “I hate humans” 

but by the end of the show he:

Had admitted his half-human brother was worthy of their Father’s complete sword. and gave up his own sword to Inuyasha. (The last and only thing he had left from his father.)

Had fallen in love with a half demon woman.*

Had saved the life of, mourned the death of, and adopted a little human girl, and left her to live in a human village to allow her to live among her own people, and regularly visits and drops off presents.

And he only kinda snarled at Kagome for calling him “brother” at the end. Something he would have killed her over way back when.

*headcanon: Kagura was born of Naraku who was a half demon so all his offspring are half demons FUCKING FIGHT ME ABOUT IT

God, I really hope that sunrise actually made RinXKohaku happen in the sequel because I really love this pairing in Inuyasha OG. This could lead to Kagome's birth as well. I love the idea of RinXKohaku being the twins' babysitter when SesshomaruXKagura were away and the one day they didn't come back at all. Thus triggered Yashahime. But well, it didn't happen

I really like the idea of the pairing too. I sometimes wonder if Kohaku's nose scar came about because of the situation that got Rin placed in the tree.

It seems rather paradoxical that Ken Narita first indicated that he felt Sesshomaru was and might only be compassionate toward Kagura, then disclosed that he struggled to properly interpret Sesshomaru’s love for Kagura while acting, in the very same conversation. (https://m.weibo.cn/status/4840906711107187). It sounds like Sesshomaru loved and did not love Kagura at the same time.

The reason is when Narita mentioned Sesshomaru’s compassion, he was talking about his own opinion toward Sesshomaru the character, whereas when he played his role, he was acting as Sesshomaru himself. Narita as a Sess fan likes the idea of Sesshomaru being alone, with slight tend to see him and Kagura together. When it comes to the anime he voice-acts Sesshomaru in, in the mentioned scene, the character Sesshomaru holds love for Kagura, and that is nothing Narita can or will change. To put it simple, it is Narita’s personal opinion that Sesshomaru at least sympathies with Kagura, but it was the canon plot that there was love from him to her.

 Yes, it was in the official publicity that Sesshomaru and Kagura were a couple in romantic sense, just as the other canon CPs – Miroku and Sango, our hero and heroine (https://m.weibo.cn/status/4840929313167896). Before and during the running of Inuyasha Final Acts, SessKagu always appeared CP in the advertisement. That was why in the famous Yamaguchi-Narita interview they admitted that Sesshomaru loves Kagura. We can still find those official placards showing Sesshomaru and Kagura were in love with each other.
