Thoughts on Kiara and the CCC Sakura's?

Kiara is a character that took time to warm up. I played CCC and loved Kiara and Anderson as a pair but didn't like either character individually. SE.RA.PH also impressed me very little, but she got a fun part to play in Paradise Lake so that's one contribution from FGO. But it was with her part in Tsukihime, literally just two lines of dialogue, that I got to think back and realize that I like Kiara, actually.

Anyways, the central idea that defines the whole of Kiara's character is that she doesn't know how to read. She's an unstoppable force that reshapes the world with her genius of religion, sexuality, psychology, programming, and magecraft, but literature is her weakest subject. She's blind to themes and symbolism, dull to metaphors, and unaware of subtext.

Her story is that she was born with the saintly nature of a bodhisattva, but confined to a bed in an isolationist Tachikawa cult. It was a harsh childhood where she was sick and objectified but she had the company of books telling her the teaching of the Buddha and heartwarming tales like The Little Mermaid.

Her life changed at age 14 when she was introduced to the internet. Thanks to it, she learned her disease was easily treatable and fixed herself, but most importantly, she discovered no one in her village healed despite it being super simple. Remember this is a Buddhist devotee who sucks at reading. She grew up reading that the sattva defines sentient beings as any life capable of compassion, and with her abysmal interpretation skills, believed this was completely literal. Therefore, the people around her weren't sentient. By Kiara's dumbass definition, was the only human being she knew.

What makes Kiara is the fact that her dehumanization of others and the power her talents give her over people's lives often lead to megalomania. People kill themselves en masse over her and her reaction is thinking that's hot, actually. People confront and checkmate her and her reaction is to kill herself before the hero who took so many innocent lives to reach can have the satisfaction of doing it. (Amazingly timely with the new SE.RA.PH chapter that came the day after I received this ask)

But despite her pride consistently getting the better of her, that pride is still derived from the fact she is sentient, therefore capable of compassion. She's a natural-born bodhisattva (mostly) always extending the hand of salvation to those beneath her. Just... the functionally illiterate Tachikawa Buddhist way, which involves making the entire world nut into moksha. But hey, at least her heart is in the right place. I can fix her. (Note: this does not mean you can fix her. I'm talking specifically about myself because, at least on paper, I'm a licensed Japanese literature teacher)

CCC is the story of her attempt to cheat the Holy Grail War in order to reach the Enlightenment necessary for this, and her partner there is Andersen, the author of her favorite childhood stories. Andersen's Noble Phantasm can reshape fate to ensure her plot goes as intended but under the condition it must be true to the themes of Andersen's stories. And understanding the themes just happens to be Kiara's greatest weakness.

Kiara hacked the ability to fall in love into a Mooncell superior AI to she could seduce Sakura into giving her early access to the Grail, but when Hakuno shows up for Sakura's help first, Kiara decided it was hotter that way and left Hakuno to do the brunt of her work. At this moment, her loss is already decided. No matter how many times she lovingly read Andersen's tales, she's a poor enough reader to never have realized he's a writer that punishes his protagonists for short-sightedness. The Little Mermaid and The Girl Who Sells Matches died for this.

The type of protagonist Andersen rewards are the ones like The Ugly Duckling, who never have it easy until they reach the discovery that changes their lives. And Kiara just made Hakuno into The Ugly Duckling of CCC instead of her.

In reality, Kiara could never get what she was asking for out of Andersen. Her win condition under his literary themes was for Sakura's love and Kiara's interactions with the rest of the CCC cast to make her find compassion in others, grow out of her messiah complex, and find ordinary happiness in the company of her fellow sentient human beings.

And that's all from CCC, but Kiara is one of the most recurring characters in current TM, so we have FGO and Tsukihime showing different facets of Kiara under the circumstances of different timelines.

FGO ultimately hijacks its Kiara with her CCC counterpart, but before that, she has a quite fascinating set of circumstances. Here we have a genuinely saintly Kiara. Unlike in CCC, here she was visited and cured by a wandering doctor instead of finding the solution to her illness on her own, so she never had the opportunity to arrive at her "I'm the only human being" mentality. After leaving her hometown, she still became a qualified therapist as usual, but this time earnestly dedicated to the benefit of her fellow sentient beings.

But the curious thing about this deviation in her backstory is how it relies on the FGO timeline having some wandering doctor in 2006 who somehow didn't exist in any other timeline to help Kiara there too. Unrelated picture of Dr. Romani Archaman (2004-2016) during his initial years of globetrotting before he returned to Marisbury.

Anyways, the transplanted CCC Kiara is defeated and drops her Alterego in Chaldea out of curiosity. Her next main story role is in Oo'oku, she gets to find her opposite in Kama and ultimately drags her to a new home where the two of them can find the simple happiness they lacked, preferably far away from each other. Lastly, her summer in Paradise Lake shows off a more balanced Kiara, still kinda high on the messiah complex and still the bad reader demanding a sequel for the sake of a sequel, but knowing where the draw the line. The AnKia fluff is also sublime as always.

Then Tsukihime is technically Kiara's latest appearance. She only gets two lines to explain her backstory, and it's honestly the funniest thing ever done with her megalomania. Tsuki Kiara is completely successful in her ascension to the rank of Maradeva but learned how much of a small fry she was compared to the True Devils of the Buddhist universe and noped back to Earth where she was still almighty (does that make her a tengu or am I being as literal about Buddhist definitions as her?). Tsuki Kiara has no excuses left to pretend this isn't about her ego first and foremost, but at least she found a place in the Burial Agency, where she can still offer others some kinda salvation.

Anon is also asking about the Sakuras, but I think I'll leave that for another time in another ask because this has already gotten really long just talking about Kiara. Sorry for delivering only half the answer.

Jealousy, but not from my mate

Sesshoumaru x reader

Summary: you and sesshmaru meet after being apart for too long the thought of leaving one another, sounds like torture, and unlucky for you. Another is pining for your lovers affection.

Warnings: none

You couldn’t help but pace back-and-forth around your shrine. your head yokai, had just told you that your fiancé and soon to be husband is coming to see you. you can’t stop purring and although you’re a cat Yokai and you’re supposed to be secluded and refined. all of that, goes out the window when you think of your fiancé

You’re already able to smell his scent in the air and God is it lawfully perfect everything you need after not seeing each other for 15 years. everything about him is he was intoxicating.

“Lady?” Hearing your head Yokai makes you jump and speak just a bit too loud.

“Yes Johanna!” Johanna is a few years older than you, and she was a gift from your parents, When you moved out. she slowly shakes her head disapproval with a small smile on her face. “ your fiancé is here lady, but I must advise that next time—” “oh, can you lecture me later?” you can barely stay put enough to talk to her. You know this was one of the many reasons why she loves you and treats you like her own child “so impatient, go see your fiancé darling”

Johanna’s right behind you walking at her normal pace what you’re trying and failing to do, you too excited to see your fiancé.

you’re standing at the front porch rocking back-and-forth on your heels your body’s, turn to the side slightly so your head servant could continue her rant as you waited to see your soon to be husband

“Y/n,”

At the sound of your name, you quickly turned around to your husband, from your angle You couldn’t even see the girl next to him. not that if you did you’d care either way.

You jump in to your husbands armswrapping your legs around his waistand arms around his neck purring impossible loud, rubbing your scent glands against his neck, trying to get as much of your sent on to him as you could sense you haven’t seen each other in such a long time

Sesshoumaru couldn’t hold back or help the needy wines that escaped from him this was all he wanted you were all he wanted in all he needed much to one of his companions dismay

Without hesitation, you grab a hold of sesshoumaru’s face, pulling him into a heated kiss not caring who’s around

“all right you too get off of each other, lady y/n and isn’t it improper of you to not invite us inside?” jaken try to make excuses for the two of you to pull apart. sesshoumaru pulled away from you slightly. A pinch of sadness wafted through you, thinking it was going to put you down. instead, he just looked at your mate Mark growling at the site

“that’s going to have to be fixed later tonight”

Sesshoumaru let his tongue slowly graze over the mark. A Growl emanated from him. before he moved to the other side of your neck, letting his nose drag over it scenting you before he gave your ass a small pat, “down, let’s go inside and eat something my little mate”

“Oh, ok”

Rin can’t help the anger and jealousy that seeps through her entire body as she sees you slowly unwrap yourself from around her lord’s body still hanging onto his side, one of your arms wrapped around his waist as he has one wrapped around your shoulder. that should be her! not you, she should be the one clinging on to him like a koala,not you she should be the one who has his mateing mark! who sad after not seeing him for 15 years, who jaken has to try to do anything to get the two of you off of each other but still doesn’t work. Who were you? What gave you the right?

“Lord sesshoumaru who is this?”

Your constant purring stops when you hear a female voice say your fiancé’s name, you push yourself flush to his body hissing slightly, “mine” you whisper softly into his side so quietly that only he can hear it.

A smile tugs onto sesshoumaru’s lips “rin this is y/n my mate and fiancé”sesshoumaru slowly moves his head down to say one last thing only for your ears “oh I’m all yours, your all mine” your purring starts up immediately after that comment. How could you not be happy

“Oh is your not married yet?” Rin points out

“no but I’m hoping we will sometime soon” you look up at sesshoumaru making eye contact “but I’m sure you’re all hungry. lunch should be ready. Shall we all go inside?”

“Yes lady I am starving” jaken speaks up, sensing the tension between rin and you

You all sit down together you’re sitting right next to Sesshoumaru rin right across from you, jaken and Johanna decided they would eat somewhere else and discuss how things have been going and when you when sesshoumaru will most likely be getting married

Sesshoumaru stairs down at the Chopstix just as he used when the two of your children back then he had no control over his strength and would constantly break chopsticks to the point where his mother would get annoyed, and you’d end up just having to feed him with yours It’s a fond memory you can’t help but giggle out at the memory, and at your fiancé‘s face right now guessing he never truly mastered ability, since he doesn’t need to actually eat food

“Lord your not eating” rin observes

“still breaking chopsticks my love?” You giggle loving the blush that spreads over his cheeks just like when you were kids

“What are you talking about? Of course lord sesshoumaru has more self-control than that” rin informs you of more than one thing from that comment she informs you that she thought very highly of your fiancé to the point where she didn’t believe your comment or what you had said about

your lover. the second thing she informed you of is that most likely she wanted your spot in his life, but that didn’t matter to you you were just going to enjoy your meal with your lover and his companion, and make some small talk

“well I am never got your name. As you know my name y/n”

“Well I’m rin and y/n is a beautiful name,….. Such a beautiful,overrated name” oh, little human doesn’t think you can hear when she whispers underneath her breath, Good to know.

“ I’m so sorry I didn’t catch that last part” can you speak are you a normal tone instead of whispering, such as she did when she commented on your name, you pick up a piece of meat, putting it in your mouth chewing and enjoying the flavor, as you wait for her to make up some thing

“I was asking if you and my Lordes relationship is arranged or not” do you giggle at the sight of Sesshoumaru, the white of his eyes slowly turning pink, just a little and the second reason you’re giggling is because the face she’s going to make. When you give her her answer it’s going to be absolutely priceless

“well, my wonderful, love here was supposed to be married to someone else, but after his mother and my mother caught us making out in the closet. they decide to switch they didn’t have much chemistry after all” sesshoumaru’s face slowly started turning red at the memory of getting caught with you in a closet, hiding away while he was supposed to be meeting his fiancé

“Master why? Why?! You haven’t even seen her in 15 years I’ve been with you all the time. What does she have that I don’t!!”

Sesshoumaru break the chopsticks in his hand probably from losing focus but I really thought he was truly mad at her which he was but she turned her head down, trying to eat as fast as possible to leave the awkward situation although she still wanted an answer

“Love, can you please feed me while I talk to her I know you probably don’t have more chopsticks since it’s usually only you and Johanna eating so feed me while I talk please and don’t get cocky about it” his voice, took a much sweeter tone towards the end of his request

“Umm master I can fe-“

Rin stops midway in her sentence she sees you and her Lord lean closer through to each other… locking in a sweet slow kiss wanted to feel that fuzzy warm float through your entire body,finally pulled back from your kiss you take a piece of meat from sesshoumaru’s bowl feeding it to him like he asked

“Mmm delicious baby almost as delicious as your lips ” Sesshoumaru leans in for another kiss ”stop” his lips are mirror inch away from yours

“Oh rin I thought you would’ve run out the room by now but since you’re not getting the hint, this is my fiancé and you are a human a useless human in fact and I would never trade someone as wonderful my y/n for you now please leave so me and my fiancé can continue our dinner”

lease to say rin doesn’t like you and your fiancé had a lovely night dinner and dessert and from here on out you’ll have to be feeding your husband. It’s the only time he likes human food but of course, between bites he needs to kiss you. his mouth Can’t be unoccupied. 😏😘

I am so sorry I’ve been working on a really long story which it’s just been taking up a lot of my time but it’s only took me a few days to come edit and write so this is what you get for right now hopefully in the next few days you’ll get a new story with my own characters and for the coven me I don’t know what else I should do for that so if you have any ideas, please give them to me
