PREGNANCY CRAVINGS — choi seungcheol x reader
Tumblr media
summary: where being pregnant comes with its struggles, and one of them just so happens to be the random pregnancy cravings. so, in the middle of the night, you try to sneak out and go to the convenience store nearby and buy something to satisfy your craving. however, your husband wakes up and insists to accompany you—even if he’s barely awake.
notes: the convenience store i've pictured in mind are like the ones i've seen in korea. but i don't really address where this occurs in, so use your imagination!
disclaimer: i'm not pregnant or have been pregnant so everything i write about pregnancy is most likely not true and therefore shouldn't be taken as fact (unless it's true, but make sure it's validated by an actual medical professional).

“Oh, Cheol, you absolute asshole,”
You tried using all your strength to push your husband’s sleeping figure away from you, the heat coming from his body was too much for you. Trying to move him away was an obstacle, especially because he was working out more as of lately.
But finally, you had managed to cause enough noise in trying to move him that Seungcheol finally moved himself, scooting more onto his side.
You looked down at your pregnant belly and told your unborn child, “All that effort I put into moving him, and all he has to do is move himself?”
Huffing, you stood up and went to your closet, looking for an appropriate shirt to change into in order to go to the convenience store. In hindsight, you could probably have used your phone to order something, but the problem was you didn’t know what you were craving.
You knew that the baby was craving something, but didn’t know what. So, you decided that you were going to walk to the store and let the baby decide while walking through the aisles.
You rummaged through your clothes before going through Seungcheol’s side of the closet. As the pregnancy goes on, you’ve found yourself wearing more of Seungcheol’s clothes since they seemed to fit you better and were comfier than the maternity clothes that you never wore.
"What are you doing?"
You turned around in surprise to see Seungcheol standing, looking quite comfy in his pajama pants and a random old shirt. Being the one for dramatics (which you probably got from your husband), you put your hand on top of where your heart was. "You scared me! I think I almost gave birth then," you said.
He rolled his eyes and then rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. "What are you doing?" He repeated.
"Oh, I was gonna go to the convenience store. The baby wants to eat something," you told him.
"Can't the baby wait for the morning?"
"The baby wants to eat, now."
"Then why don't you order something?"
"The baby doesn't know what to eat," you sheepishly said.
He looked at you for a moment, before reaching behind you to grab a hoodie. "Fine, let's go," he said, turning to leave yours and his' bedroom.
"I'm fine on my own," you insisted.
"You're pregnant and it's two in the morning. I'm coming with you," Seungcheol said, before yawning.
"Cheol, you're barely awake enough to be coming with me. You need your sleep," you gently said, but he was stubborn.
"I'm suddenly hungry too, so I'll just come with you to buy some food," he said.
Tumblr media
Once you and Seungcheol entered the convenience store, you were greeted by the quietness of the place and the single employee that was stood behind the cash register.
You looked around the aisles while your husband followed not too far away from you. "Choose what you want, I'll be paying," he instructed and you didn't bother to argue, considering he always insisted on paying.
Wandering around, you grabbed your favorite snacks, a couple ramen cups, and a few of Seungcheol's favorite foods. Realizing that you should've gotten a basket, you looked at Seungcheol, who seemed to be amused with your current predicament of full hands.
"Don't laugh, it's not funny!" you whined, but he only seemed to amuse further with your comment.
Wordlessly, he left the aisle to grab a basket. When he returned with the basket, you dumped everything in it, and he carried it while you walked around the aisles one last time.
After making sure you didn't want anything else, Seungcheol went to the register, with you waddling behind him.
Tumblr media
"Was it worth it to ruin our sleeping schedules for this?" Seungcheol teased, and you nodded with a mouthful of ramen noodles.
He shook his head but opened his mouth and you put a chopstick with ramen noodles on it in his mouth. "Not bad," he said and you beamed at his compliment.
"Is the baby satisfied with the food?"
"Yep, and the baby is finally tired enough to sleep," you said.
Waddling to your bedroom, with Seungcheol not too far from you, you settled into your bed, and closed your eyes.
"Sweetie?"
"Yes, Cheol?"
"I can't sleep now,"

Right Here With Me
Tumblr media
Request: hi! :) i feel like #19 on your recent prompt list would really fit to seventeen’s hhu, specifically to mingyu or seungcheol.. i adore your writing, thank you for putting in so much effort 💌
Prompt:
19) Taking care of your tipsy bias.
Pairing: Seventeen S.Coups x Reader
Genre: Fluff
.
You jumped as Seungcheol slammed his hand on the table. "Sing with me."
You blinked up at him in surprise. He was shimmying from side to side with the karaoke mic in hand.
"Coups," you sighed, crossing your arms. "We really need to get you guys back home."
"Noooo," he pouted, now his turn to cross his arms. "It's so lonely at home. Here is the opposite of whatever lonely is."
You looked across the table to Vernon who seemed to be thinking over the antonym of "lonely." Turning your eyes to Wonwoo for help instead, he gave a small shrug before taking a long sip of his water. To his benefit, he had been about as many drinks in as the rest of the guys but had chosen to hydrate about an hour ago.
"Come oooon, Y/N," Mingyu cooed, swaying behind Coups with the other microphone. "One more song!"
"One more song!" Coups chanted. "One more song!"
It wasn't long before Vernon and Mingyu had joined the chorus. With their shouting still in the background, Seungcheol stepped toward you and reached out to play with a lock of your hair. His eyes were half lidded and his plush lips pulled up at one side. "Come on, baby."
Closing your eyes, you sighed. "Coups."
Plopping on the bench beside you, he coaxed you into his side, and placed a wet kiss on your temple. "Pretty please? I love you soooo much. Why won't you love me?"
"Why is it that he always feels it pertinent to confess to you when he's drunk?" Wonwoo muttered as he watched with lifted brows.
"I don't know," you hissed, fighting your way out of Seungcheol's arms. "And what does me loving you have to do with you singing another song?"
"Everything," he said with a stubborn nod.
Wonwoo wasn't wrong. This was often Seungcheol's MO. You were best friends, even closer than that even. He was like a limb at this point. If you lost him, you wouldn't know how to function. That being said, the two of you had never explored a romantic relationship. You were mostly afraid of ruining your friendship, and he seemed to only think about it when he was intoxicated.
"He's so going to regret this in the morning," Vernon cackled, falling back into his seat.
"If you loved me, you'd let me sing one more song," Coups whined. "I'll even sing OUR song."
"We have a song?" you muttered. "Since when do we have a song?"
"Since," Coups hiccuped. "I heard it and thought of you."
"That's hardly "our" song then." You couldn't help but chuckle, plus, you were very curious to hear what Coups thought of as "your song."
"Pleaaaase," he begged. Sticking out his bottom lip, he gave you puppy dog eyes.
"Fine," you gasped. "One more song and then I walk you home!"
An award-winning smile took over Seungcheol's face as he sprung up and toward the karaoke machine. Flipping feverishly through his options, he finally seemed to find what he was looking for. Spinning around, he pointed a finger at you.
"This is for you, Y/N," he said in a low voice. You weren't sure if he was trying to be sexy or funny.
"Oh, this is going to be good," Wonwoo chuckled, pivoting himself to get a better look at the front of the room. Vernon already had his phone out and set to record.
You took a deep breath as you heard the intro to the song. Surely this wasn't what you thought this was.
"I've been drinking, I've been drinking," he crooned. "I get filthy when that liquor get into me - I've been thinking, I've been thinking..."
"Holy shit," Vernon hissed in between laughs. "This is the best day of my entire life."
You wished you were a turtle. If you had a shell, you would have something to crawl into and die. What was he doing?
"WE BE ALL NIGHT! LOOOOOOVE! LOOOOOOVE!" Seungcheol and Mingyu screeched at the top of their lungs as they began to grind their hips into the air.
"Well," Wonwoo said with a wince as he stood from the table. "That's enough of that."
Taking the few steps to cross the room, he tapped gingerly on the karaoke tablet. Within seconds, the music turned off, and the boys were left screaming in the open air.
"Yah!" Coups gasped, after he realized. "What did you do that for?"
"Everyone, I did that for everyone," Wonwoo muttered, gathering his things. "We have an early schedule tomorrow. Let's get moving."
You never had feelings for Wonwoo, but you could honestly kiss him right now.
"You heard him!" you yelled, pulling yourself to your feet as well. "Let's get moving!"
..
"Why didn't you like my song?" Seungcheol hiccupped. You were easing him up the steps to his apartment, holding nearly all of his body weight in the process.
"I liked your song just fine," you cringed, another flight of stairs behind you.
"You looked miserable," he pouted. "Why don't you ever take my confessions seriously, Y/N?"
"Because you don't take your confessions seriously," you muttered. Furrowing your brow, you counted the numbers on the apartment doors until you found his. "What's your code this week?"
"I can't tell you," he slurred. "It's a se-se-secret."
Pinching the bridge of your nose, you fluttered your hand toward the door. "Type it in then."
Seungcheol hiccupped again before slumping in the direction of the doorframe. Cupping his hand around the keypad, he eyed you suspiciously. "This is for my safety."
"I know, Cheolie," you laughed. "I'm not arguing with you."
Glancing back to the keypad, he stumbled back a bit. Catching him by the shoulders, you waited for the door to unlock.
"Why are there so many numbers?" Coups sighed, leaning against the door again and poking at the lock. "Three two's? Which two is the right two?"
"Let me try," you hummed. "Can you tell me what your code is?"
"My manager said not to tell anyone. Not even my mom."
"And you can change it as soon as I leave," you sighed. "If we can't get in, you're sleeping on the door mat tonight. And that's not very safe, is it?"
"Why can't I stay with you?" he asked, his eyes brightening with the sudden idea.
"Because I am not hauling you downstairs again and then another three blocks," you grumbled. "The code, please Coups."
"I like it when you call me Cheolie," he pouted.
"Cheolie, my sweet bean," you said, trying to contain your exhaustion. "Will you please tell me the code?"
"Mmm," he hummed, wrapping his arms around your waist and nuzzling into your neck. "Is my birthday."
"Shocker," you breathed, rapidly typing in the lock code. The door made a small buzzing sound before chiming that you could enter.
Stumbling into his apartment, you flipped on the lights and popped off your shoes before heading to the kitchen. Seungcheol, on the other hand, toppled to the floor and began yanking at his shoes.
Scanning the cabinets, you found his most spill-proof tumbler and filled it with ice water. Judging by the muffled sounds of frustration in the entryway, he was still taking off his sneakers.
Turning the corner, you could only sigh. He looked like a toddler sorely in need of a nap. "They won't come off," he said quietly before looking up at you.
"Here," you said, handing him the water bottle. "Drink."
Doing as he was told, he gripped the bottle with both hands, and leaned back against the wall. You crouched down, making quick work of his shoelaces before you managed to finally free him.
"Let's get you to bed," you murmured, motioning for him to take your hand. He slid his palm into yours before easing himself up.
"How could I go from feeling so good to feeling so awful?" he muttered.
"Funny how alcohol will do that," you chuckled, walking with him to his bedroom. "Arms up."
Setting his drink on his desk, he lifted his arms into the air and allowed you to pull his hoodie from his torso. Losing balance after the motion, he toppled onto the mattress, pulling you with him.
"Hey!" you groaned, immediately trying to separate yourself.
"Stay with me," he said softly, tangling his arms and legs around you. "Please?"
He was always affectionate when he was drunk, and you knew that. You needed to shut it down now before your heart could coax you into staying a little longer.
"I have to go home," you whispered, still not willing your body to move. You tried not to be amused as Seungcheol began pulling blankets around you and tucking them in.
"You are home," he whispered. "Right here with me."
You felt an unwelcomed warmth spread through your chest. If he wasn't so cute this would be a lot easier.
"Seungcheol..."
"Seungcheol, Seungcheol, Seungcheol," he continued quietly, settling himself in beside you. "Why do you always give me reasons why you can't stay instead of just trying?"
A little voice inside the back of your head repeated the old adage, drunk minds speak sober hearts. Coups was only clingy when he had too much to drink, but he had always been tender with you. Whether sober or inebriated, he was your person. You had never allowed yourself to think past platonic soulmates...but maybe...
"You're drunk," you countered. You felt so small in bed next to him. He was comfort and safety, even with soju on his breath.
"And you're scared."
He couldn't see the code to get into the apartment, but he could sure see right through you.
"It doesn't matter what I am," you whispered. "You'll regret this in the morning."
"No, I won't," he insisted. "Because I'll wake up with you next to me and I'll remember that drunk me did hangover me a solid.
I want you here, Y/N."
"Because you're drunk."
"Because you're mine," he said softly. "You always have been."
"Have I?" you whimpered. At this point, you were scared to break the spell. Scared that he would sober up and kick you out of his bed.
"Mhm," he cooed, pulling you closer. After placing a light kiss on your forehead, he chose to set his cheek there. "And I won't let go. Not even if there's a fire."
Anything that looked blurry now could be settled in the morning. How could you leave after that?

Tumblr media
Your eyes were practically filled with lead as you stared at your computer screen, the design you had opened on Photoshop blurring as consciousness continues to slip past your fingers. Whatever you had planned on fixing with the design in front of you was long gone with your sanity and will to stay awake. As darkness surrounds you, all you could hear is the clicking of your mouse and keyboard, your department completely empty aside from you.
Your eyes flickered to the bottom corner of your screen; 08:24 PM, it read. Everyone else in the department had gone home, at six, but because your annoying, and cutthroat new team manager was giving you so much crap for the designs you submitted for next quarter’s social media, you were forced to work later to fix the mistakes she had pointed out.
It wasn’t unusual for the design team to stay later in the office to finish up projects, but your former team manager never allowed anyone to stay past seven. Safe to say, your new team manager didn’t care—all she cared about was that you work quick, and efficient. If it requires staying overnight at the office, then better bring out your neck pillow.
“Hello? Is someone still here?” Jumping in your chair, you looked over the dividers of your cubicle, spotting Seungcheol, an employee in the Marketing division, standing by the door.
Raising your hand, you announced, “I am.”
Seungcheol’s eyes squinted, trying to spot you through the dark before his eyebrows knitted together in confusion upon seeing you in the empty room. “Y/N? What are you still doing here?” His footsteps echoed throughout the empty room, approaching you and seating himself in the cubicle beside you. “Working on something?”
You weakly nodded, sleep returning to fog your brain. “I have revisions from Hyunhee.”
“Hyunhee?”
“Our new team manager,” you grumbled, just thinking about the woman made your head ache in annoyance. “Since Jiha is on maternal leave, I have to handle both hers and my own projects, and Hyunhee—safe to say—” you motioned to the empty room “—she’s a pain in my ass.”
Seungcheol couldn’t help but chuckle, shaking his head. “And this?” He nodded his head towards your computer.
“It’s for next quarter’s Instagram feed, but Hyunhee has a completely different idea to what my former team manager had, so she hates every single thing that I’ve given her.”
“Really? She’s that bad?”
You nod, your lips jutting out slightly as you recall how terrible Hyunhee was to you since she became the team manager. “I don’t get it, though—don’t get me wrong, she’s a nightmare to everyone, but it feels especially bad when it comes to me.”
“How come?”
“It might be because on her first day, I had a septum piercing, and she called me out on that saying it’s unprofessional and that I should remove it,” you explained, the design on your computer long forgotten as you shifted in your chair to face Seungcheol. Your brows furrowed upon a realization, “Wait, why are you still here?”
“I left at six, but came back because I forgot my phone charger,” he explained, “and since the janitor was mopping up the area in front of the lift, I chose to go down the stairs and walked past here and noticed the light in your cubicle.”
“It must be nice having an overbearing manager,” you mumbled, adding, “you can leave once work hours are over.”
“Why don’t you continue it tomorrow, Y/N?” He takes a gander at your work. “It looks good, too, you can do finishing touches tomorrow morning.”
“Because Hyunhee wants it tomorrow, before she comes in,” you responded, the urge to cry out of frustration growing stronger. “And this design is the one that she rejected, all of it.” You couldn’t but chuckle at Seungcheol when he stares at you with widened eyes, shocked.
“Is this even allowed? I get staying an hour after work hours end, but it’s almost nine, Y/N.”
“She doesn’t really care, just cares that the project is complete and placed on her desk when she asked for it,” you informed him, and immediately looked away as he stares at you in pity. It’s pathetic, really, to feel obligated to invest so much time and energy for something you knew could be completed within working hours. Maybe you were scared of Hyunhee. Rumors say that she got the job as team manager because she is indirectly connected to the Chief of Operation in your company, and you didn’t want to find out what would happen if you crossed the line.
Or in this case, submit a late project.
“Do you want me to accompany you while you work on this? I don’t mind staying in late,” Seungcheol offered, and your heart couldn’t help but melt at his offer. You couldn’t lie that being accompanied by an attractive guy as the hours grow late wasn’t a bad thing—it could help keep you awake, too, but you felt bad. This wasn’t Seungcheol’s project to complete, it was (unfortunately) yours.
So, you shook your head, giving him a reassuring smile, “No need, Cheol. I might go home in twenty minutes, and continue then.”
“I’ll accompany you until then, Y/N,” he states, sitting back and crossing his arms over his chest to indicate he wasn’t going to move.
“Seriously, Cheol, you can go home, I’ll be fine.”
He only shakes his head, standing (or sitting) his ground. He then nods his head towards your abandoned project. “Go on, Y/N, move it to your USB.”
As you move the files to your flash drive, Seungcheol stood from the chair, eyes wandering around your cubicle space, noticing the little pictures you had all around the walls of the divider—there were a few of you with your friends and family, none that came off to be anything more than platonic.
Why was he even looking to see if you had a partner or not? His cheeks heated at the realization when his heart raced at the possibility of you being single.
“Seungcheol?”
“I’m sorry, Y/N, what?” You couldn’t help but chuckle seeing his flustered face beneath the dim lighting of your cubicle. Your interactions with Seungcheol aren’t daily, but they’re enough to have you form an interest towards the Marketing division employee. He’s also the only one from the Marketing division that doesn’t give ridiculous deadlines like the rest of his team.
“I’m ready,” you repeated, and he nodded, taking a step back to allow you to walk ahead of him after turning off your desk lamp and the two of you left the office.
“Do you usually stay at the office this long?” Seungcheol asks as the two of you stepped into the elevator, and you shake your head no before answering, leaning your back against the metal walls.
“Not really, I get really bad headaches if I stay up too long, so safe to say I’m going to have a blast tomorrow at work,” you answered with a bitter chuckle. “It wouldn’t be a problem if right when I get home, I sleep, but I still have a lot to fix before tomorrow morning, so…” You trailed off with a shrug, Seungcheol’s look of concern not going unnoticed, causing you to chuckle. “It’s fine, Cheol… I’ll be fine.”
He only nodded, not convinced enough but didn’t press on. “Did you drive here?”
“Yeah, I did.” He nodded, and that was the end of your conversation as the two of you bid goodbye before climbing into your cars and driving separate directions towards your homes. As you had told him, the moment you stepped into your apartment, you didn’t directly fall into the soft covers of your bed, knowing well enough that the second your head touches your fluffed up pillow, you’d be out like a light.
So, you placed your work laptop onto your coffee table, arranging your pillows in a way that allowed you to sit on your wooden floor without flattening your butt. You brewed up a shot of espresso, ordering something to snack on as you turned on your personal laptop for an ambience. Once you felt that you could comfortably continue the project, you put on your headphones and got to work, eyes flickering between the laptop and the sheet of paper that Hyunhee had revised, making sure that all details she demanded of were there.
It was 4:52 AM when you finally finished everything, double checking and adjusting all elements before saving and resting your head on your arms that were folded on the coffee table. Despite downing two cups of iced coffee, the caffeine could not completely erase your exhaustion and soon enough, you awoke to your alarm, indicating that it was already eight in the morning, and you needed to be in the office before nine-thirty.
As you pushed yourself up, your head immediately spun, your vision blurring and for a couple seconds, an aching feeling pierced through your skull, forcing you to have to sit for a minute to let it pass. Damn it, today was going to be difficult to get through with your obvious sleep deprivation. Not even taking an ibuprofen could aid the headache that was going to worsen the longer you stayed awake, but you couldn’t call in sick, especially an hour before the day starts. Hyunhee has always nagged about last-minute excuses, asking (demanding) all of you to inform her 24 hours before, and anything after would not be allowed.
Pushing yourself, you quickly showered, deciding to grab breakfast on the way and within twenty minutes, you were out of your apartment and on the way to the office. Upon arrival, you practically sprinted to your office, eyes locking with your co-workers as they stare at you and shake their heads, indicating that Hyunhee hasn’t arrived yet. With a sigh of relief, you tip-toe into your supervisor’s office, placing the printed results and found your cubicle, practically falling onto your chair.
“Hey, Y/N, you okay?” You glance over at Yeeun, finding her staring at you with a look of concern. “You look really pale, Y/N, how much sleep did you get last night?”
“Barely any,” you answered with a pout, grabbing your phone to see your face. Although, you couldn’t really tell the difference. You did feel terrible, but safe to say, work isn’t that fun for you to put on so much effort for a job that doesn’t pay you enough. “I finished the Youngbok project just this morning.”
“Seriously? You’re still working on that?”
Before you could answer, Hyunhee bid everyone a good morning as she entered the department, her heels clicking against the ceramic floor as she walks into her office. You could only share a knowing look with your co-worker as you sunk into your chair.
It was good twenty minutes of peace in the Graphic Designs department, the clicking of keyboard and mice, and soft murmuring of the employees filling the air before a shrill yell emerged from Hyunhee’s office, a shiver running up your spine as you realized in your sleep deprived state that she had called you.
Yeeun shared the same look of genuine fear with you, as everyone stared at you with wide-eyes. You stood from your chair, the steps you took to Hyunhee’s office felt heavy, as if the soles of your shoes were filled with lead. Dread began to fill your body to the tips of your hair as you gently knock on your superior’s door, her eyes glaring at you before staring at the sheets of printed out designs you had laid out. You entered her office after excusing yourself in a tone nothing higher than a whisper, and she glances between the door and you, signaling you to close the door.
This isn’t going to end well, you couldn’t help but think as you push the door, the clicking of the lock practically echoing throughout the department, everyone outside of where you were, were sat at the edge of their seat, fearing for what was about to happen.
There was a deafening silence as you stood in front of her desk, watching as she flips through your designs, and you felt yourself disassociating for a second, in a daze as your eyes gloss over while staring at her crossing out everything with her wretched red marker.
A slam of the compiled prints against the ceramic floor broke your daze, and you found your designs by your feet, on the floor.
If you were pale from sleep deprivation then, you were now pale from pure fear.
“What the hell is that?”
“I-it’s the revised designs you asked of me,” you stutter, internally beating yourself up for sounding so scared.
“Are you sure? Because I asked for designs, not pure rubbish, Y/N,” she insults, her words laced purely with venom as she stares you down. Not knowing what to say, you stayed quiet and she took that opportunity to berate you even more. “I don’t understand what Mr. Kim had saw in you, but it sure as well wasn’t anything good, because how is that you have worked in this department for so long, and yet, are incapable of providing compelling designs, hm?”
“I’m sorry, Hyunhee, I will work on it and fix everything I did wrong,” you quickly apologized, kneeling down to pick up the papers.
She leans forward, resting her chin atop her hands, as she glares at you. “I want them today, before you leave the office—even if that means you have to spend the night here, I don’t care.”
“I-I understand,” you muttered, ducking your head.
“Leave.” She didn’t have to tell you twice before you dipped out of her office, tossing the paper onto your desk and slumped into your seat. You wanted to cry. You wanted to cry and scream, but you didn’t want to give Hyunhee the satisfaction that she actually broke you apart. All eyes were on you, however, everyone knew better than to bother or ask someone after they had faced the devil incarnate. Yeeun found it difficult to turn a blind eye on your obvious disoriented state, from both sleep deprivation and having faced Hyunhee so early in the morning, but she knew you’d snap if she even poked you.
You wanted to leave, walk out of the office because you believed you didn’t deserve to be treated like that unwarranted, but you couldn’t. You couldn’t bring your feet to stand up and walk out that door knowing well enough that you can never come back in. You would have lost your job—all the work that you put into this job for the past year would be thrown out the window because a woman that has barely sat in that office feels that she has power over you, and your future. In a way, she did. Her words will always go against yours, and hers—backed by the connections that got her this job with minimal experience in graphic design—would always prevail.
So, all you could was listen and work on the revisions she had given. No word had left your lips since you had left Hyunhee’s office, and no one bothered you as you put on earphones and focused on the project opened. Your break times consisted of staying seated in your chair, opening YouTube to watch some video that you couldn’t pay attention to, watching it for five minutes before closing and continuing the project.
Before you knew it, shades of orange had begun to bleed through the blinds of the office, people were packing up and sparing pitiful glances as they bid each other goodbye, their wary gaze not unnoticed by you. Nonetheless, you paid them no mind, completely set on finishing everything before the day ends. You were lucky enough to gain at least thirty minutes of sleep because Hyunhee had left the office early, allowing for you to close your eyes with no fear of being woken up by the she-demon.
You were tempted on sleeping, anyway, knowing well enough you’d wake up with an ache in your neck and an unfinished assignment. Your eyes were closing slowly, your screen blurring as you felt sleep take over you, only to jump, a scream exiting your lips when you felt a hand grasp your shoulder.
“Oh my—I’m so sorry, Y/N,” Seungcheol profusely apologized when he noticed the tears brimming at your eyes from the genuine scare. “I called you earlier, but I didn’t see you wearing earphones.”
Too tired, too angry, you couldn’t muster up a comment, only shrugging off his hand as you turned your head to your computer, the jolt from Seungcheol giving you a bit of energy to work off of.
“Hey, I heard, by the way, from everyone that Hyunhee gave you an earful,” he stated, sitting besides you.
You couldn’t help but scoff, “An earful? That’s an understatement.”
“Are you okay, Y/N?”
Aggravated, you removed both earbuds from your ears, spinning with a sharp turn on your chair to face Seungcheol, your brows furrowed and fury running through your veins. All you ask is to not be disturbed until you get this stupid, cursed project done, was that so much? “Do I look okay, Seungcheol?”
Noticing your hostile behaviour, his expression mirrored yours, with a touch of worry found in the glint of his eyes. “I’m just trying to make sure you’re okay, Y/N. I don’t mean to be rude, if that’s how I come off right now.”
“Well, you do, alright?” You lifted your earphones, waving it in front of him. “If I have these on, it’s a universal sign that I don’t want to talk to anyone—you noticed them, why are you bothering me right now?”
Taken aback by your words, he was stunned—his mouth opened then closed, unsure on how to react to your sudden behaviour. He has never seen you this angry, not even when ranting about Hyunhee. You watched as his jaw clenched, momentarily looking away as if that would allow him to cool down, before he clapped his hands on his knees and stood from his chair.
“You’re obviously exhausted, Y/N, Yeeun told me you barely slept that might be why you’re being the way you are right now,” Seungcheol pointed out, “I’ll leave you alone, alright? I’m so sorry that I actually give a shit about you, and wanted to make sure you were okay.” Before you could take back all you had said, Seungcheol was out the door, leaving you in your office alone, the darkness encompassing you, seeping deep within to your bones.
The one person that genuinely was there for you, only ever cared for you, and put him on the receiving end of your shitty day. Way to go, Y/N.
Rubbing your eyes with the heels of your palm, whatever energy you had to work on the project was thrown out the window, and you couldn’t find it in yourself to continue clicking the mouse or tapping the keyboard, not with the guilt from how you spoke to Seungcheol still plaguing your thoughts. You weren’t going to get anything done at this point.
Packing your things, you quickly rushed out to your car, praying that he didn’t completely hate you as you drove to his apartment. You weren’t sure what you were going to do once you got there, but what you were sure was that you’ll grovel, and hope he forgives you for being such an ass, unwarranted. Upon arrival, you practically jumped out of your car, rushing up the evacuation steps to his floor, and reached up to knock, but paused.
What if he doesn’t forgive you? It’s not like your friendship with him was more than as acquaintances. He didn’t have anything to lose with losing you, but you felt you had everything to lose with losing him. He was the first person you got to know in this stupid company—as he mentored you during your internship in the company. Then, after you graduated college, you reached out again, and applied for the Graphic Design division. Seungcheol guided you ever since, and admittedly, you’ve grown fond of him—you admired him as a role model, and more.
He’s not obligated to forgive you, but you already came this far, might as well give it a try?
Taking a deep breath, you gently knocked on his door a few times, hearing rustling on the other side before the door swung open, revealing Seungcheol already out of his work clothes, and in a plain white tee and grey sweatpants. “I thought I said just leave it by the— Y/N?”
“Sorry, I forgot your delivery at the restaurant,” you improved, causing Seungcheol’s thick brows to furrow before he chuckled, your joke successfully amusing him.
“What are you doing here?”
“It’s definitely not to deliver your food, that’s for sure,” you awkwardly smiled, feeling your heart race from seeing him in such a laid-back outfit. You had never seen Seungcheol wear anything other than the button-ups and slacks you were used to seeing at the work, so seeing him look so… cozy, was a sight you wish to never grow tired of.
The corner of Seungcheol’s lips tilted upwards, but he didn’t laugh. Leaning against the frame of his door, he crossed his (muscular) arms over his chest, waiting for an explanation as to why you suddenly appeared at his front door.
“Look, Seungcheol—”
“Delivery for Choi Seungcheol.” A new voice caused you to jump, both your heads turning to see the delivery boy appear from the turn, his eyes looking questioningly at both you and your acquaintance. “Choi Seungcheol?”
“That’s me, thanks,” Seungcheol uttered, reaching out and taking the plastic bags from the delivery boy, the latter leaving with a tilt of his hat towards you and disappearing past the corner.
“As I was—” You turn to face Seungcheol again, but he, too, disappeared. You peeked into his apartment to find him pulling out his order, arranging them on his coffee table before sitting on the floor. He glances up at you, wordlessly waving for you to come in, and unsure what else to do, you obliged, closing the door behind you and slipping your feet out your shoes.
“I didn’t expect company, but dig in if you want,” he uttered, handing you a pair of chopsticks. It was only then did you realize that you barely ate today, too occupied with the stupid project. “If it’s not enough, we can always order more.”
“Seungcheol, I’m trying to apologize to you,” you spoke up, head tilted down at your knees. “I’m really sorry for taking my anger out on you… You of all people didn’t deserve it…”
When Seungcheol didn’t respond, you looked up to find him slurping up jjajangmyeon, eyes trained on his TV. “Are you serious?”
He glanced over at you, stifling a laugh before wiping his mouth with tissue, “I thought you were going to go on a full rant, at least three paragraphs.”
You pouted, “Me coming here was on a whim, I didn’t really prepare anything.”
He found your defeated expression adorable, couldn’t help but chuckle as he pushes a bowl towards you, adding the noodles onto the empty space before tapping the rim, gesturing for you to eat. “You’re really pale, Y/N, did you eat anything today?”
“Probably cup noodles,” you mumbled, eyes glimmering at the sight of the thickly coated noodles. “I couldn’t really do anything other than work on that stupid project.”
“Hyunhee made you stay late again?” You nodded, your cheeks full of the noodles. “Look, Y/N, I know you love being a graphic designer, but do you really think it’s alright to work under someone like her? This seems like she’s abusing her power as team manager, and overworking you.” As he spoke, he reached out with a tissue in hand, wiping the corner of your lips. Why did he look so nonchalant about it, too?
“I don’t want to quit, though, I’ve been here longer than she has, why do I have to leave?” You complained once you swallowed the noodles. “I just… I hate it, you know? I’ve just been trying so damn hard, yet nothing ever works out… Especially since she came into the picture.”
There was a brief moment of silence.
“How about transferring divisions?” Seungcheol quipped, continuing, “I’m sure if you make a letter of intent to the department manager, you could be moved to a different division where Hyunhee doesn’t exist.”
“Is that possible?”
He nodded. “Did you think I was always in the Marketing division?”
“I honestly thought you’d be a finance guy.”
“I was.” Your widened eyes caused him to laugh. “Then I moved, it was a few months before you came in as an intern.”
“Really?” He nods, and you thought about it. “You think I’d be allowed to move divisions?”
“Yeah, why not? If you give a good reason to why you should be moved, then it’s possible.” You pondered over the suggestion, the two of you letting a few minutes of silence pass while eating before you spoke up again.
“But I don’t want to leave the department.”
“Then ask to be transferred to a different division.”
“What about your division?” Seungcheol stares at you with bewildered eyes, genuinely surprised at your suggestion. “I mean, it’s less work for you since I already have experience working with you, and I won’t need a mentor—I already know the head, so that’s also less work.”
“No, not mine, Y/N,”
“Why not?”
“It’s a violation of our code of conducts, Y/N, don’t you know?”
“What about me moving to your division violates the code of conducts?”
“Employees from the same division are not allowed to fraternize with one another,” he explains, “if you move to my division, we’ll be co-workers.”
“So? It’s not like we’re dating.”
“Not yet.”
“Sure—” You froze, the chopsticks you raised to your lips dropping back into the bowl. “—What?”
“What?” Seungcheol asked, nonchalant. His tone might’ve been nonchalant and unbothered, but you could see from his cheeks to the points of his ears were flushed a bright red under the warm lighting of his living room.
“You like me?”
He shrugged, “Why do you think I walk by your office every day?”
“I thought you only did that because the janitor was cleaning the floor.”
He inhaled a deep breath, releasing the heavy sigh before standing to grab water from the kitchen, ruffling your hair on the way. “You’re very oblivious, Y/N.”
“S-so, all this time?”
“Not all this time, Y/N, I just know that I see you more than just an acquaintance,” he explains, tossing you a bottle of water. “But that’s not important right now. Right now we need to get you out of Hyunhee’s team.”
How… How is he able to continue this conversation after admitting to having feelings for you? How is he so calm?
He wasn’t. If you looked closer, the only reason why he tossed you the bottle was because if he handed it to you, then you’d most likely notice his shaking hands. The only reason why he changed the topic was because the longer you talk about him and his feelings, the redder he’ll be and to be honest, he likes to come off calm and collected to you, despite being the complete opposite when it comes to being near you.
“You’ll help me with that?”
Seungcheol nods. “Of course I would—just think of me as a helping hand now, Y/N. I help you, and you can help me when the time comes.”
“And what would you need help with, Choi Seungcheol?”
“I have two tickets to movie Saturday night, I’ll need help to make sure the other ticket doesn’t go to waste, Y/N,” he proposed, causing your cheeks to ache from the smile on your face. “But right now, I need help finishing this food. Are you up for it?”
You chuckled, nodding, “I’ll gladly give you a helping hand.”

What would Seungcheols reaction be to you wearing his new hoodie?
Tumblr media
i think he was half expecting it tbh, and always orders a bigger size than he needs because he Knows you're just going to steal it and add it to your hoodie collection (which is actually just all his hoodies).
when he sees you walk into the kitchen one morning, hoodie pulled up over your head and no pants, he can only smile and try not to get an erection. because let's be honest, every man has had at least one fantasy of fucking their partner in their oversized sweater/hoodie.
but instead, he does the gentlemanly thing and gives you a kiss and hands you breakfast, and absolutely dotes on how cute you look in his hoodie while you get all shy and embarrassed.
and you know what he would do after? he'd see you bend over, and let's say you went full commando. he can't control himself anymore after that and immediately would have you bent over the kitchen bench, fucking you and then leaving cum streaks on your ass and the back of his new hoodie (that now needs to be washed)

Tumblr media
The first time Seungcheol sees you, you’re crying in front of Professor Jung’s office.
It’s not an unusual sight, if he’s being honest. Being Professor Han’s TA whose office is right beside Professor Jung’s, Seungcheol is used to seeing students crying after a session because Professor Jung is just unreasonably strict with his grade and assignment. He’d be surprised if anyone came out of his office with a grin on their face.
If he’s to be frank, he doesn’t understand how come no one has reported the professor to the higher ups. Isn’t this some kind of abuse? But, then again, maybe they simply don’t care because Professor Jung is one of the smartest people in the entire campus and he’s achieved a lot for the university.
Anyway, despite the usual occurrence, Seungcheol feels particularly bad that day seeing a student cry like that. You’re probably a junior, too. He thinks it’s the way you’re trying hard to swallow your sob as you cover your face in the otherwise empty hallway, like you can’t help crying even though you don’t want to. He’s usually the type of person to mind his own business, but your hiccups tug something in his consciousness (heart?) that he feels the need to reenter Professor Han’s office just to get some tissue for you.
You look up when you feel another presence in front of you, and you don’t even have it in you to feel embarrassed because it’s already too late at that point. You probably look like a mess, but the guy simply gives you a small smile and offers you some tissues.
“No problem, I was his student too,” he says when you thank him. “I know he can be a bit difficult–”
He chuckles at your pointed look, your red eyes unbelieving. “Okay, not a bit. He’s very difficult; but his class is worth it, I promise.”
“I know.” Your voice is very soft, Seungcheol decides, and he’s not talking about the volume of your voice. There’s just something comforting about it even though you’ve just finished crying. “It just… frustrates me because I thought I’d ace this particular assignment, but I got a B minus.”
Seungcheol blinks at your words, a B minus and you’re crying…? He passed with a C and he celebrated. Do you even know the average score of Professor Jung’s class? Did you… go to his office and ask about your score? At least you didn’t sound uptight.
But he holds back the judgement before he goes too far, maybe you’re one of those straight A’s students that holds academic scores above your head (which is cool, he’s always wondered how some people can take academics that seriously).
Whatever it is, it’s not his place to judge. You’re not saying it in a condescending way too. You sound genuinely upset and he’s here to comfort some poor student because it’s one of those impulsive days, not judge them.
“It’s pretty good for Professor Jung’s class. You know how strict he is with his grade,” he says anyway, hoping that his tone wouldn’t sound mocking. “And, hey, you can always ask for an extra assignment if you think you need it?”
You sigh, exhaling a deep breath and wiping the last of your tears before you offer him a small smile. “Yeah. This would sound annoying but… I just… I don’t actually know how to deal with bad grades. I’ve never gotten a B too, even for an assignment, and I know my GPA would still be pretty good as long as I ace the exams but…”
“Anyway,” you shake your head suddenly, your smile more genuine than earlier that Seungcheol catches himself staring. “I’m sorry for unloading on you. And… uh… thank you for listening.”
You’re already long gone when Seungcheol realizes he didn’t ask for your name.
Tumblr media
Seungcheol curses as he gets out of his class, starting to wonder if taking Masters is even worth it. (Of course it is, he’s just in a whiny mood today.) Being a postgraduate student can be very tiring at times; yes, he doesn’t have classes everyday and he’s mostly on campus because of his TA works.
But, with that in mind, it means his class would go for three hours when he does have a schedule. He should’ve listened to Jisoo and took a job in her dad’s company instead of doing post-grad, but Joshua Hong and Yoon Jeonghan just had to rile him up and now he’s here out of spite to prove them wrong.
So much for being an adult.
It’s fifteen minutes past lunch time already and he’s sure the cafetaria is way too crowded if he wants a quick lunch. Perhaps going to the convenience store just outside the campus gate would be better. Also, Hanbin, his fellow TA, isn’t on campus today and he’s much too annoyed to deal with rowdy freshmen without his friend.
Much to his luck, the convenience store is pretty empty today considering it’s lunch time. There’s still a line in front of the cashier, but nothing he can’t handle. The few tables outside are filled with who he assumed to be students too (He thinks he recognizes one of them; Boo Seungkwan, was it?), but it’s too hot outside and he’d rather sit inside with the air conditioner system blasted on.
Hmm. Maybe he should get some fruit soda too now that he’s here. He’s been craving for something sweet anyway.
“Oh, hi!” The cashier greets him with a wave before he starts scanning his items. “Long time no see. Is this all?”
“Hi Bam.” Seungcheol grins at the younger guy. He used to mentor Bambam a few semesters back, and he’s pretty sure he’s only seen the tall guy pass by the corridor from time to time since then. “Didn’t know you work here. And, yeah, that should be all.”
They talk for a bit after that because there’s no one else behind him on the line, and it’s only when another customer comes in five minutes later that Seungcheol excuses himself to find a seat. The table by the window is already full, so he figures he should walk to the back and see if there’s any free seat inside.
He presses his lips together when he notices one of the tables is broken, the other occupied by a couple, and the last one by a girl whose face he can’t even see because she’s slumped forward. He never minds sharing a table, but will the girl think he’s some kinda creepy flirt if he tries to take a seat?
He’s about to just leave when she sits up and takes a deep breath, realization colors his face. It’s you. Your eyes find his too, and it’s your small smile and your small nod of acknowledgement that encourage him to make his way to you.
“Mind if I sit here? Everywhere else is full,” he asks just in case, thanking you when you tell him he’s free to do so.
It’s silent for a bit after that; you with your own thoughts, and Seungcheol simply glad that he doesn’t have to walk back to uni to eat some kimbap and drink some soda. And it’s when you sigh again that he asks if you’re okay.
“I make a good listener, if you remember,” he jokes, which makes you laugh a little in return.
“Just… one of those days.” You scrunch your nose before sipping on your lemonade, and it’s only then that he realizes you have a drink in front of you. Of course, you wouldn’t just be here chilling without buying anything. “You’re Professor Han’s TA, right? I’ve seen you around with Hanbin.”
He accepts the change of topic, perhaps you simply don’t want to talk about whatever it is bothering you. He is a stranger, after all.
“Yep,” he nods, munching some more before it dawns on him. “You know Hanbin?”
“He’s friends with Taehyung.”
“You know Taehyung?” Seungcheol blinks, not expecting his usual groupmate to be friends with you. Is he ignorant or he simply never sees you with him? But, then again, he doesn’t really hang out with the guy outside class, either.
“He’s my neighbor. My mom is close with his mom so he’s like an older brother to me, to be honest,” you shrug. “I’m actually here waiting for him, my class got cancelled and his won't end until… an hour from now.”
He laughs when he sees you sigh after checking your watch, and then proceeds to talk about Taehyung because that’s the only mutual ground you have with him at that point.
“Why are you waiting for him though? Going somewhere?”
“Oh, he takes me home, usually,” you suddenly avert your eyes to avoid his, looking embarrassed when you continue, hesitation colors your tone before you say your next words. “Because our house is actually an hour away from uni and I’m… uh, not familiar with public transportation because my parents don’t allow me to go anywhere by myself.”
You’ve expected Seungcheol to snort or mock you with the mask of joking, but he simply hums as he nods, still focused on his food like your words don’t weird him out. You know people see you like you’re some kind of princess because of that, even more because it’s Taehyung, of all people; the guy has girls (and guys) lining up for confession, and he brushes them off because he needs to cater for you first.
You always wonder why they can’t see that Taehyung simply takes care of you because it’s already a habit for him at this point. You practically grew up together, and you always cringe at the thought that people mistake you both for a couple. He’s basically a sibling–you really don’t need that image in your head.
“Taehyung must’ve really treasured you then. He’s very impatient with us during group assignments.” He grins after you say Taehyung waits up for you a lot, and tells you about how your brother lashed out once during Philosophy class because they were fooling around instead of getting right into it.
“Sounds like him.” You chuckle despite the doubt in your heart. It’s way too good to be true that someone isn’t judging you from what you’ve just said. Did this guy really just accept that you have Taehyung taking care of you to that extent? He must’ve grimaced on the inside at the very least, you wince at the thought. “I usually just tell people he’s my brother because that’s how he introduces me to people too.”
Seungcheol hums, squinting his eyes as he rakes his brain. “Oh, I think I remember Taehyung mentioning a sister a few times. I don’t think he’s ever mentioned your name, though?”
“Oh!” you exclaim, smiling sheepishly as you introduce yourself to him at last. Seungcheol waves his hand at your apology, assuring you it’s fine and tells you his name. Something seems to click in your mind, your lips turning into an ‘O’. “Oh? I think Tae mentioned you a few times too.”
Your conversation flows from there, and Seungcheol is pleased to know you’re into the same movies you’re into. He doesn’t even realize that his food is finished and it’s only when Taehyung’s familiar voice greets you both that you realize it's been an hour since you've both started talking.
"Oh?" His voice is confused, but is laced with warmth and it welcomes you nevertheless. "You… know each other?"
Your eyes meet Seungcheol's, and Taehyung is more than surprised to see you both sharing a knowing look before Seungcheol grins and you press your lips together to hide one. Apparently you two have an inside joke already.
Interesting.
"I didn't know he was friends with you," you say instead, and then gets up from your seat without really saying anything the moment Taehyung makes himself comfortable at the small table. Seungcheol quirks an eyebrow at that, and Taehyung helpfully informs that you're probably getting him bread or something.
"She's the sister you've mentioned before?" He makes sure, slurping the last of his drink.
"Yuppp." The younger guy nods, distracted, before taking a sip of your drink and grimaces at the taste. "Should've known she's drinking this again. That's basically sugar with water."
Seungcheol chuckles at that, but didn't get to comment on that because you've returned with some bread and some soda, placing them in front of Taehyung then proceeds to sit down next to him and just lays your head on his shoulder when he thanks you and pats your head.
He decides to keep his thoughts to himself as he watches you both; weirdly enough, you do look like a pair of siblings even though he's never seen siblings quite as affectionate as you two. Even if your cheek is pressed against Taehyung's shoulder and there's basically no space between your bodies, Seungcheol can tell that there's nothing romantic between the two of you. Whoever is accusing you of being romantically involved with his friend probably didn't even actually try to look or is too jealous to even care.
Wait.
Does Taehyung know you're having those problems?
He feels like it's not something that Taehyung wouldn't know–what, with his popularity and all that–but he doubts you're completely transparent about it.
Not that he actually knows if it's that bad. But by the looks of it, Seungcheol can imagine you really have no one but Taehyung if you went as far as waiting for him by yourself here instead of with other friends even though you knew he'd take at least an hour to be done.
Or maybe you enjoy your solitude.
Who knows? It's not his place to pry. He's spoken to you a total of two times anyway.
"Anyway. Did you finish that assignment? From Professor Jung?"
“Kinda. Just need to review it again and see if there’s anything I can revise.” You scrunch your nose in distaste. “I don’t even know why I took his class for electives.”
“I told you not to take it.” Taehyung snickers, and then turns to Seungcheol to make a point. “I told her the only person I know who’s passed his class with flying colors is Kim Jisoo, so she took the class to prove me wrong.”
Seungcheol blinks at that, not expecting you to be that kinda person though, really, he doesn’t have anything but groundless assumptions for now. He’s intrigued though, and he totally forgot Jisoo took that class because she did take it a semester early.
“Which reminds me, aren’t you close with her?” Taehyung continues, nudging his shoulder upwards to annoy you, to which you simply pinch his waist that gets Taehyung yelping before he stops real quick. “This nerd here would probably be kissing the ground you walk on if you get Jisoo to tutor her–or at least review her assignments.”
“Kim Taehyung!”
“What? It’s true–ouch, stop pinching me, woman! You’re so violent.”
“Then stop saying nonsense!”
“But you said–Ow! Stop!”
“Actually.” Seungcheol cuts the bickering even though it’s entertaining him to no end; as much as he knows Taehyung is friendly, he’s sure he’s never seen the guy this carefree before. Plus, there’s just something about you that pulls him in though he can’t exactly pinpoint what it exactly is. “Jisoo is looking for something to do. I think she mentioned her schedule is too empty because her internship wouldn’t start until next month. I know she’d be happy to tutor you for free if you want? She’s always liked tutoring. She doesn’t need the credits anymore.”
You gape at him, which Seungcheol doesn’t quite know how to translate; are you in disbelief or what? But he doesn’t really need to do that because Taehyung does it for him, shaking his head as he informs the guy that you’re malfunctioning.
“She has a crush on Jisoo, I think.”
“I told you to stop saying nonsense!” You snap out of it and smacks his shoulder so hard that Taehyung actually groans because it hurts. “I just admire her. She graduated undergrad as a valedictorian, no? And she’s so pretty and friendly. I’m sure she’ll graduate post grad with the highest GPA too.”
Seungcheol shares a look with his friend and nods. “Yeah. That’s a crush.”
You pout at him, not yet close enough to be able to smack him in the head like you would’ve with Taehyung. Seungcheol presses his lips together to mask a fond smile; what kind of person are you, really? He initially thought you’re just some straight A student who does nothing but study and doesn’t know how to have fun (yes, he was judgemental. But, come on, you were crying in front of Professor Jung’s office crying over a B minus on an assignment. At least you sounded nice enough, though), but after an hour with you and looking at you and Taehyung, he’s not so sure anymore.
“Okay, okay. I’ll stop.” He hears Taehyung say affectionately, catching the sight of the older guy messing with your hair before poking your cheek playfully. “But, will you ask her, Cheol?”
“Taehyung!”
Seungcheol shrugs with a smile, telling you once again that Jisoo would love tutoring you because that friend of his has always liked teaching other people (“Helps me with my patience,” she once told him.) and if you really want it, he’d even call her right this moment.
You don’t answer immediately, though the way you’re looking at him with wide eyes that seem to gleam with giddiness is enough answer for him already. How can a university student look like a kid in front of a toy store’s window?
He shakes his head with a laugh–how cuter can you be?–before taking out his phone and putting it on the table, dialing Jisoo’s number. The girl picks up at the second ring, a sassy ‘What?’ ringing through your little table.
“Jeez, you in a bad mood?” he retorts at her tone, and you hear Jisoo grumble before she asks once again what he’s calling her for. “Taehyung’s sister is taking Professor Jung’s class and needs a tutor. Do you think you can help?”
“Taehyung? Kim Taehyung?”
“Hi!” The guy in question chimes in, and Jisoo greets him back before saying she doesn’t know his sister attends their university. “Will tell you sometime. But yeah, she’s a nerd and I was talking to Cheol earlier and thought, why not?”
“Professor Jung, huh? Introduction to Philosophy?” you hear her faint voice from the phone, gripping Taehyung’s arm for some reason. Perhaps you do have a crush on her. “Who’s her name again?”
Seungcheol holds back a laugh when you bite down a squeal the moment Jisoo says ‘aha! I’ve heard of her! I think Professor Choi praised her a few times when I was her TA last year. She wasn’t my student though–Jongin’s I think?’. Taehyung looks at you pointedly when you bury your face into his shoulder, shaking his head as Jisoo starts talking instead about her last year as Professor Choi’s TA.
“Anyway! Yes, I’d love to tutor her. Just give me her number? Or give her mine, either way’s fine,” she closes the discussion before telling them she needs to hang up because someone else is calling. You’re practically hogging Taehyung’s arm the moment the call ends, both men looking at each other with amused grins.
“So you want her number, or…?” Seungcheol teases you, weirdly already comfortable enough to do so, laughing when you simply stare at him with eyes even wider than before. “Alright let me send it to you.”
It’s a second later that he realizes.
“Oh. I don’t have your number.”
So you quickly recite your number and Seungcheol texted you immediately, sending Jisoo’s contact to you with the name “Jichuuu👑”. You ask him about it, and he scrunches his nose before telling you that the girl has changed it herself and he’s too bothered to change it up until now even though he keeps on looking up “Jisoo” when he needs to call her and finding her contact nonexistent.
It’s later that night that you find yourself texting with Seungcheol. You meant to text Taehyung to ask about the new dessert shop near campus, but accidentally texted him because his text was on the very top after the exchange earlier–though Seungcheol happily supplied you with the information you needed nevertheless.
The conversation spiraled from there; because, apparently, even if your interests pretty much clash with each other’s, Seungcheol is happy to instead ask about those differences instead of questioning your taste.
Taehyung asks why you seem so sleepy when he picks you up the next morning, but you shake your head and simply tell him that you found something interesting last night that you ended up sleeping at 2 in the morning.
He does not need to know you spent all night talking to a certain Choi Seungcheol, heart giddy because you’ve found a new friend after so long.
Tumblr media
It’s been about two months since you started talking to Seungcheol and your relationship has upgraded to sending each other random memes at just about anytime. Taehyung doesn’t even ask why you’re giggling at your phone anymore, simply shakes his head when he sees you laughing because he’s accepted that his humor code differs from yours and Seungcheol’s.
He’s glad though, because it’s been so long since you’re this open to someone new. The last time was already about a year ago and he’s since been wary of people trying to befriend you because the last one simply did it thinking they could leech off your study.
It’s a fact that he considers you a sister, and he’s probably more protective of you than of his own siblings–but it’s because he knows they’re able to fend for themselves and they don’t need him to be that protective.
But you… You’re an only child, grown up in a protective bubble because your parents are weirdly strict except when it comes to him. Perhaps it helps that your parents and his have always been close; but there’s a reason why you’ve grown to be the person that you are: much too careful and much too afraid.
You’ve been told your whole life to be careful, to not make mistakes, and to always be mindful of what you show to people. It’s not something that Taehyung agrees on, and perhaps he’s at fault too because he, too, becomes too protective of you and that leaves you almost no place to do things on your own.
But he doesn’t have it in him to let you be.
Because he’s seen how cruel people can be to those they consider kind, and you’re easily the kindest person Taehyung has ever laid his eyes on. He doesn’t want you to be taken advantage of. He’s given the benefit of doubts to too many people throughout school, and you always end up feeling betrayed because they either get close to you because they want to be close to him, or they want you to help them with assignments.
He’s had enough.
But Seungcheol obviously doesn’t have those agendas and it's only now that he’s started to realize that, perhaps, he should’ve brought you to his circle instead. His friends would have no business asking for your academic assistance, and it’s pretty clear that he knows which ones are good enough to be close to you.
Then again, you’re often burdened by a group interaction.
“Kay, I need to go to the library now,” you tell him after getting out of the cafeteria, having just finished your late lunch. “Jisoo can’t tutor me this Friday so she asked to reschedule.”
“Oh?” He stops in his track and blinks, as if he’s just heard an information he deems questionable. “Did you tell me about this already?”
“Nope. I just okay-ed her this morning. Why?”
“I… have a date.”
It’s your turn to blink, a little confused. “And?”
“I won’t be able to take you home, kid.”
Your mouth turns into a small ‘o’ as his words sink in. It’s embarrassing, to be honest, that you’re someone in your 20s and have only ridden the bus by yourself for a total of three times. You find fun in riding them, and perhaps you do so simply because you don’t ride it often enough to think of it as a part of your daily life. That said, while you’re a little concerned that you’d need to suddenly go home by yourself, you’re also excited to finally be riding the bus on your own after so long.
“I can take the bus!” You shrug almost nonchalantly, but Taehyung knows you and you pout when he gives you a pointed look. “I’ll make sure of the route and not get lost again, I promise.”
“Alright,” He huffs and continues walking towards the library with you beside him. He can’t possibly cancel this date, because he has already done it two times already and he’s sure Hanbin would kill him if he asked to postpone once more. This is his cousin, after all, and Taehyung wouldn’t have gone to this date if he didn’t owe Hanbin for covering his closing shift twice in the cafe last month.
You wave your hand and tell him ‘bye’ once you arrive in the library, but Taehyung grasps your wrist and looks at you worriedly. “Call me when you’re going home? Maybe my date would be finished by then.”
“Tae, your movie starts in two hours and my session usually lasts that long too,” you remind him. He can be a little overbearing sometimes, but you understand that it’s out of the goodness of his heart and you’re honestly glad you have him as a friend. “I’ll be fine, I promise. I’ll share you my live location.”
It’s obvious that he’s not convinced, but he also knows you’ve always liked taking the bus by yourself, so he simply nods and tells you once again to at least text him once you’re done.
You greet Jisoo once you see her on your usual table, finding a couple on the other end of the table. You don’t mind them though, and apologize that you keep her waiting because Taehyung wouldn’t shut up.
“It’s fine. Sorry for the sudden notice,” she smiles kindly and you almost swoon at the sight of it. Gosh, Seungcheol would’ve teased you if he knew. He’s been teasing you about it for some time now, sending you memes  of lovestruck high school girls looking at ‘senpais’, as he likes to call it, captioning it ‘you @ jisoo’.
You bite down your lip at the sudden memory, a smile threatening to bloom on your face.
“Good day?” Jisoo asks, noticing your smile no matter how much you try to hide it. “You seem giddier these days.”
“Really?” You tilt your head in question. You? Giddy?
“Yup. It’s good to see though. You were so shy the first time we met,” she grins teasingly, and you can feel your ears getting warm because Seungcheol actually told you what Jisoo said about that first meeting.
She found you very cute, he’s said, and apparently she told him you’re adorable which he also successfully delivered to you a few weeks ago during lunch when Taehyung went to the restroom. You can still hear his laughter clear in your ears because you immediately went red after that.
The both of you start your study session after that, and Jisoo has kindly brought her old essay for you to use as a reference. You hold on to it like a holy grail, and the older girl simply laughs when you tell her you won’t let it wrinkle even the slightest bit.
You’re reading over a passage about Renaissance when your phone buzzes, Seungcheol’s name popping up in your notification. Jisoo looks at your phone placed between the two of you out of reflex, raising an eyebrow when she sees her friend’s name though she doesn’t comment on it.
Somehow, you don’t seem to realize Jisoo is watching you, and you also don’t realize the way she smirks openly when you bite your lip to hold back a grin as you type back a reply to her friend. Now that she thinks about it, hasn’t Seungcheol also been more attentive to his phone these days?
She doesn’t really see him a lot, but the few times she does meet him with the guys, it’s pretty clear that Seungcheol has been looking at his phone considerably more often than he used to. She didn’t think much of it, because she’s never been the kinda friend to confront little things like that. But this? She might be wrong, but it seems that he’s been getting comfortable with you and vice versa.
“Boyfriend?” She pretends to ask, almost laughing at the way you jump in your seat nervously. “I told you you seem very giddy these days.”
You tilt your head in question.
What? You? Giddy because of his texts?
You’re unsure why you’re not keen on disclosing that it’s Seungcheol you’re texting, so you shake your head and say instead, “Just a friend.”
“For now?” She teases just to see if you’d relent. But you simply smile and deny her with a wave of your hand, telling her it’s nothing like that. Jisoo is surprised to find your tone nothing sort of denial–almost like you actually believe that there’s nothing going on between you and her friend. Did she assume wrong? “Well, just know that you seem to… glow these days.”
Sending a shy grin towards her, you thank her in a whisper before going back to your study. As usual, you share small talk from time to time, because Jisoo deems just working for two hours straight can’t be effective if you don’t have small breaks in between (and, no, she doesn’t mean a few 10 minutes breaks. Just 2 or 3 minutes every now and then at most); and that’s how she found out you’d be going home alone today because Taehyung has a date.
She knows of your situation from Seungcheol, something that Taehyung has asked him to forward the gist of to Jisoo just in case. She doesn’t really get it, if she’s being completely honest, but she’s never one to judge others and has simply stored the information in mind for when it’s necessary. She considers offering to go home with you, but your places are in different directions and she’s promised her mom they’d have movie night later.
While it’s true that she’s not that close to you, she already sees why Taehyung (and Seungcheol) takes such good care of you. There’s just something about you that makes her want to coddle you, blanket you in layers and layers of bubblewrap to make sure you’re safe and sound.
Perhaps it’s you innocence, the way you dangerously trust people because you believe the good in them. Even though she doesn’t agree with the way Taehyung is protective over you because, considerably, it can be a little too much; she also understands why he does it.
But looking at you talk about how it’s been a long time since you go on a bus by yourself and you’re kinda excited for it, she softens at your childlike excitement, also glad that you seem to be comfortable enough to talk about this with her. She asks if you’re sure about the lines you’re supposed to take, and she feels the weight easening a little when you show her a screenshot of your bus route you’ve found off the internet.
Your phone buzzes again, and Jisoo doesn’t miss the way your eyes widen at the notification and how you take a deep breath before clicking something on your phone. She frowns in worry when she sees your face falls, and she can tell that you’re gritting your teeth in an attempt to calm down whatever’s bubbling up in your chest.
The question gets stuck in her throat, not wanting to seem like she’s prying and she feels like it’s not her comfort that you need. It turns out she doesn’t need to ask though, because you do it first by asking if you can cut the session short for the day because something came up and you need to go. You send her a forced smile when she asks if you’re okay, and you quickly tidy up your stuff before apologizing once again for the sudden turn of event.
Jisoo doesn’t even get to bid you goodbye because you’re already gone in a blink of an eye, her worried eyes following you out of the library until you go out of her vision.
Tumblr media
The second time Seungcheol sees you crying, you’re by yourself in a random bench behind the engineering building.
It’s a place people usually go to find peace, because, for some reason, the park behind the engineering building has been the designated place for students to just cry or zone out without anyone questioning anything.
He’s almost panting when he gets there, and you don’t even look up at the presence of another person–simply buries your face more into your palms as you try to contain your sob.
“Cheol, are you at the university? I’m a little worried…” Jisoo has said over the phone, telling him she was tutoring you when that happened, not forgetting to tell him you’d be going home by yourself today and that worries her even more after what she’s witnessed earlier. “I’m not sure where she went though. She didn’t tell me anything. But I don’t think she’s gone out of the university.”
This park wasn’t his first choice, quite obviously, hence his heavy breath after running here and there. But that’s not important, what’s important is you; crying by yourself like some kinda tragedy has befallen you.
It hurts, to be honest. The first time he hears you cry, it was just impulse that made him comfort you. But now, after knowing you and spending time with you, he really just wishes he can comfort you somehow no matter how.
Seungcheol decides he doesn’t like nor hear seeing you cry.
“Hey.” Seungcheol feels bad at the way you jump because of his voice, and his heart clenches at how sad you look right now when you look up at him. He’s not even thinking when he moves forward to wipe your tears that still continue falling anyway.
You don’t even question why he’s here or what he’s doing, simply accept the way his fingers are gently wiping your tears from your face. His presence helps though, for whatever reason, because you find your sob dying down into hiccups though your eyes are still blurry from tears.
“Want to talk about it?” He asks after you seem to calm down a bit, watches the way you dig your fingers into the tissue you’re holding in your palm. He doesn’t expect you to lay your head on his shoulder, but the feeling is pleasant despite the worry in his heart.
You don’t answer him for a bit, seemingly to be deep in your thoughts; wondering if you should tell him or not. He’s about to tell you it’s okay if you don’t want to, but you beat him to it and start talking albeit hesitantly.
“I applied for this scholarship for a summer course. It’s abroad and my mom has always wanted me to go so I studied hard for the test.” Your voice is small, and he wouldn’t have heard it if not because you’re literally pressed against him. “I… I was so sure I would get in. That I aced the qualifications. But I didn’t and–”
“Hey, it’s okay,” he reassures you, wondering if it’s okay to put his arm around you–if you’d appreciate the physical comfort he wants to give you. “It’s not the end of the world and there are other courses–”
“No, Cheol. You don’t understand.” You shake your head, voice resigned. You sound like you’re about to cry again, and it’s reflex when Seungcheol wraps his arm around you. Fortunately, you either don’t realize or you don’t really mind it, so he keeps it there because you even bury yourself further into him, your forehead meeting his collarbone. “My mom… It’s her dream to go into that school. But… my dad doesn’t allow me to study abroad so she thought… it’d be okay if I can go even only for a short time?”
He bites his lips as you continue to talk about your parents; how you don’t want to disappoint them and you hate to imagine how your mom would feel when you tell her the news. You’ve told him a glimpse of your parents before, what they expect of you and how you always wish to meet those expectations.
But he’s never thought it was to this extent.
His soft voice whispers your name, and you pull away to look at him because he urges you to do so.
“I know your academics matter to you, I really do,” he starts carefully, not wanting you to get the wrong idea. “But… it’s not everything, okay? I promise it’s not. And this is just one door closed for you. Who knows how many more are open?”
“No, Cheol…” you repeat, biting your trembling lip so hard that Seungcheol almost puts his thumb there so you’ll let go. “I… I’m nothing without them.”
Wait.
What?
“It’s the only thing I’m good at; studying and doing assignments. I can’t offer anything but. And if I screw up those things…”
“Wait. No–Stop.” Seungcheol immediately stops you, his voice firm though he’s shaking his head like he’s confused beyond measure. Because he is. Did you really think you have nothing to offer but your scores? Your academic accomplishment? “Are you being real right now?”
He might sound harsh, he admits, but it seems to go past you because you simply repeat your words. And it hurts so fucking much because you sound so convinced, like it’s something you’ve believed your whole life and there’s no room to amend that.
“Y/N, I promise you’re more than that,” he grasps your hands and says firmly, his eyes piercing into yours so you’ll see that he means it. “You’re not made of your academic score. You’re your own person and you're worth more than your accomplishments–whatever they are.”
Your vision gets blurry again as Seungcheol starts listing down why he thinks you’re such a wonderful person, how he’s grateful that you let him into your life and he’s glad that he gets to know you as you.
He’s hugging you by the time he’s finished, because you burst into tears once more, overwhelmed by how sincere Seungcheol sounds. Truth is, Taehyung has told you all those things Seungcheol did just now–though you’ve always thought he’s just doing his brother duty and you choose to not trust him because it’s his job to make you feel better.
But Seungcheol sounds so sure, so firm, and so true that you actually believe him. Maybe not wholefully, but it's already more than you can ever imagine. You’re so used to having only Taehyung with you, but Seungcheol comes in and he’s changing things in your life that you don’t think possible. He makes you comfortable with yourself, makes you think that it’s okay to be rebellious once in a while even if it’s just skipping a class for the first time in your life and though you promise you’d never do it again because it made you too anxious, makes you think that… yeah, maybe you should be selfish sometimes and put yourself first even though those always appear as fleeting thoughts up until now.
Still, it’s only after meeting him that those thoughts appear.
“You’re okay,” he whispers to your hair, and you can vividly feel his plump lips on top of your head. “I promise you’re okay.”
Tumblr media
The third time Seungcheol sees you cry (not counting the times you cry watching movies), it’s four years later as you clutch his fingers and try your best to hold back the tears even if you’ve failed already.
“They look so happy, don’t they?” He whispers against your ears, the way his lips grazed your ear still bring shivers down your spine despite the familiarity of it.
You nod as you sniffle, watching Taehyung dance with his bride on the dance floor. You’ve never thought your dumb best friend slash brother will be settling down this early, but you can’t help the happiness that blooms in your heart as you see how much love is reflected in his eyes as he looks at the love of his life.
“They do. I’m glad they found each other,” you whisper as you gently wipe your tears. Perhaps you should be more thankful Taehyung’s wife has forced you to use her makeup artist even though you refused at first, you’d hate to imagine how you’d look with mascara and cheap eyeliner rolling down your face with your tears otherwise. “He deserves it, you know? He’s always the happiest when he’s with her.”
You look up to your boyfriend when he brings up your joined hand and kisses the back of your palm, a soft, happy smile gracing your face when you feel the warmth of his lips despite the tears still running down your face.
And that’s when he promises he’d do anything he could to never let you cry again unless it’s paired with that smile.

[SVT Imprinted] Seungcheol: Alpha (Part Three)
Tumblr media
Characters: Seungcheol x female reader
Genre/warnings: werewolf au, college au, hurt/comfort (so angst and fluff are implied w that), so much cheesiness at the end that it made me cringe re-reading it, ends on a cliffhanger hehe <3
Word count: 3,307
Summary: Being the mate of the alpha isn’t always easy. The alpha has to balance his mate and his pack because both come first. But lately, you’ve been feeling like you’re not evenly placed with anything in Seungcheol’s life.
a/n: back when i first did imprinted, it was highly requested for seungcheol angst and idk why but this is what i came up with (this is also for the people who, out of everything that happened in the last part, only picked up on the singular mention of seungcheol and his mate being rocky lmao 💀)
Previous | Next | Imprinted Masterlist
It felt like months since you’d properly hung out with Seungcheol. It seemed he was always working, always at school, or always dealing with the pack. While you knew he couldn’t control the first two, you knew he was putting you second to his pack when you and the pack should’ve at least been tied for first.
Actually, you felt dead last.
You saw Seungcheol at the end of every day, right before you fell asleep. That was it. Either he’d plop down in bed and pass out, or you’d already be asleep, waking up just barely when you felt his body hit the bed before you’d drift off again. So did you even really see him at all? The two of you barely spoke, you couldn’t even remember the last time you’d kissed him, and it just felt like he didn’t have time for you.
On the one hand, you got it. You understood that Junhui was kind of a handful on his own, but there were two pregnant mates, meaning three werewolves that were extra on-edge trying to ignore the instinct to snap at any person who even entered the same room as their mates. However, you were still Seungcheol’s mate, but you’d been feeling like a stranger to him lately.
You did try to talk to him. You tried so hard to get his attention when you were in the same room as him, but he was either half listening, never listening, or got pulled out of the room by something he had to take care of. The house was in chaos, so you knew it wasn’t his fault, but good lord, it felt like he didn’t even notice you were there anymore!
Around the time that Faye, Wonwoo, and Minghao had returned, the pack was running around the kitchen to get ready. Everyone had a system by now, but that system still couldn’t avoid chaos and loudness every morning. You never minded it – you were used to it now – but you did mind that Seungcheol seemed to be looking out for everyone but you.
“Hey, that’s my toast!” Mingyu whined.
“Shut up, it’s mine,” Joenghan sneered, biting into the toast he’d taken from the toaster. No butter. He took a bite out of plain, dry toast just to make a point to Mingyu.
“Just make more, there’s plenty of bread,” Seungcheol sighed as he weaved through the bodies to get to the cupboard over the fridge. “Lila-Faye! Come take your vitamins!”
“Isn’t that Wonwoo’s job?” Kira asked from where she sat at the kitchen table beside you, sipping her coffee as she quietly observed the pack – Hansol was still asleep upstairs since it was his day off.
“He’s still asleep,” you said with a huff, clearly looking angry. “He was up late grading papers.”
Kira frowned as she looked at you, resting one hand over yours, “_____, are you okay? Is this still about…him?”
“Yes,” you groaned, your head falling to the side to rest on her shoulder. “I’m just so– I’m fed up. I keep trying to talk to him but nothing works.”
“Well, try again now,” Kira shrugged, looking at you with an encouraging smile. “He may be the alpha, but you need to assert dominance and make him listen to you.”
You nodded, taking a deep breath and letting it out, “You’re right.”
“Good,” Kira grinned. “Just call him over.”
You looked over to where Seungcheol was now taking a lighter from Soonyoung. You cleared your throat before sitting up a little straighter, “S-Seungcheol?”
“C’mon, you can do better,” Kira chuckled.
“Seungcheol,” you said a little louder.
You were so nervous. Why were you so nervous?
But at the same time, he would’ve immediately picked out your voice any other day. He would’ve perked up, looking around until his golden eyes landed on you and a warm smile took over his face. But he didn’t even notice you.
It was making you angry.
“Seungcheol!” you called, raising your hand in hopes that would help.
Still nothing.
Your hand clenched into a fist, slamming it down on the table, “Choi Seungcheol!”
The whole kitchen froze, eyes going straight to the two girls who sat at the table. Kira shrunk in her seat, not liking all the attention, and even you leaned back into your chair and looked around nervously.
“Babe, why are you yelling?” Seungcheol asked.
You swore there must’ve been smoke coming out of your ears when he asked that. You couldn’t believe he asked that. You stood up from the chair, the palms of your hands slamming against the tabletop as your chair pushed back into whatever poor soul was standing behind you -- it was Seungkwan, who had just woken up and was very confused and kind of scared.
“Are you kidding?” your voice was quiet but had venom dripping from it.
“Time to scatter,” Soonyoung muttered, guiding Yerin, who was standing beside him at the counter, out of the kitchen.
A few other people made themselves scarce – Mingyu and Bomi, Chan and Areum, Kira got up and left to give you space, and Jun nodded for Minghao to take Yoona elsewhere while he stuck around just in case for backup – as you walked up to Seungcheol.
He had a bottled smoothie in his hand that he was supposed to give to Faye before she went off to school, but he kept his grip on it as you came closer. His expression was pure confusion, and it only made you angrier and angrier by the second. Did he really not get it?
“_____, whatever this is, can it please wait until–”
Your anger bubbled over, your hand coming up to slap the bottle out of Seungcheol’s hand. It hit the floor, the surrounding area getting covered in thick, pink liquid.
“Seriously, Cheol?!” you burst.
You weren’t paying attention because of your tunnel vision, but Faye had entered the doorway of the kitchen, her eyes welling with tears as her bottom lip quivered, smoothie splattered all over the floor and now her legs. Of course, you never meant to make your friend and sister cry – she was just very sensitive because of the pregnancy, anyway – but you were just so furious with your mate.
Jun swiftly stepped in and grabbed Faye’s upper arms, leading her out of the room with a, “Shh, it’s okay.”
“What the hell, _____?” Seungcheol demanded. “That was for Faye, and you made her cry! You got it--”
“Well what about all the times you made me cry?!” you shouted, tossing your hands in the air.
Seungcheol paused, his own annoyance dying down as he tried to understand what you were talking about, “What?”
“’What?’ What do you mean ‘what’?!”
“Now I’m confused…” Aya muttered, still watching everything go down from the corner of the kitchen, with Jeonghan standing behind her, arm lazily around her shoulders while he looked like he was casually watching a drama on TV.
“You’ve ignored me for– For months!” you burst, staring daggers up at your mate. “You don’t talk to me, you don’t see me – Seungcheol, you don’t make any fucking time for me! It’s like you don’t even love me anymore!”
Seungcheol frowned, reaching out to touch you, “_____, I do love you; you’re my mate.”
You just swatted his hand away, feeling the angry tears pricking at your eyes, “Then fucking act like it!”
“_____, I’m still an alpha. I’m trying to handle my pack and–”
“But what about me?!”
“I’m trying my best!”
“Well if you’re just going to keep ignoring me then– Then I’m leaving!”
“Fine!”
“Fine!”
As you stormed out of the kitchen, the pack that had migrated from the kitchen to the living room stayed silent, looking around between each other. Aya and Jeonghan turned to look at each other before they looked back at Seungcheol, fuming as he went to get a cloth to wipe up the mess on the floor as he angrily muttered to himself. Nobody really felt like they should interject, afraid it would only make things worse, but they knew you leaving would make both of you feel awful. They even knew that deep down, both of you knew that was the worst possible answer. But you two would have to find that out on your own.
-
Did you have any idea where you planned on going? No, not at all. However, you had friends from school and from work, so you knew you could find somebody to let you crash at their place for a little while. But considering most of them were college students who lived in tiny dorms or tiny apartments, you instead found yourself looking to Bang Chan for help like Seungcheol often did.
“My mate has a place,” he told you over the phone as you sat at the bus stop with a permanent scowl on your face. “It’s small, but her and Akira won’t mind you staying there for a few days.”
You didn’t know if it would only be a few days, but you weren’t going to drag the alpha into your problems, “Thank you so much, Chan! I owe you one.”
So that’s where you found yourself. Aeri and Akira were Chan’s and Jisung’s mates respectively. Both girls were sweet, so you knew you at least wouldn’t be treated like garbage with them.
However, no matter how nice the girls were to you – ordering your favorite takeout for dinner, making you a bed on the couch, and offering you anything you might need – it didn’t stop you from crying all night the first night. And the whole day while both girls were gone. And then again that night.
You missed Seungcheol, but you couldn’t just go running back to him. He wouldn’t even notice if you did, anyway. You didn’t even think he noticed you were gone now even though you told him you were leaving. You knew he probably didn’t care, but you cared. A lot.
-
Seungcheol wasn’t the same as soon as you slammed the front door. It was like everything shut down and he was just running on autopilot. Everyone noticed he was quieter, didn’t really care as much about things, and was just generally very gloomy. Some of the pack had even caught him crying a few times, but he’d pretend it was nothing, mumbling that he had things to do.
“Take it from someone who has run off when she got mad at her mate,“ Aya began as she sat up on the kitchen counter while Seungcheol tried to distract himself with making dinner for everybody, “you’ll both just feel worse if you stay away from each other.”
“Did you see how angry she was?” Seungcheol asked, looking up at Aya with red eyes that were puffy from crying not too long beforehand. “Aya, what if she doesn’t love me anymore?”
Aya frowned with a scoff, “That’s not true, and you know it.”
“But she’s right. All I did was neglect her for everybody else.”
“Cheol, that’s our fault. None of us wanted to step up to help, and you’re the alpha so it’s in your nature to automatically take charge. Instead of letting you handle everything, we should’ve done it ourselves. Hell, somebody else can buy Faye her stupid smoothies and force vitamins down her throat. Soonyoung can learn to not be a pyromaniac. Bomi can mediate Junhui and Minghao. Y’know?”
“But I do like helping,” Seungcheol whined, resting the cooking utensil in his hand on the counter. “I want to help my pack, but I don’t want _____ to feel neglected.”
“The best thing you can do is apologize and not make the same mistake,” Aya nodded, taking a green bean from the bag that was picked up from the market, and biting into it. “You’ve let her cool off for two nights, so I say go to her tonight. Follow the pull, dude.”
Seungcheol took a deep breath, nodding, “Alright. Thanks, Aya.”
“Josh and Jeonghan’ll hold down the fort,” she promised with a reassuring smile and a nod.
Seungcheol gave her a stern look – well, as stern as he could get while his heart was shattered.
Aya sighed, “I’ll hold down the fort.”

“What do you mean ‘forever’?” Aeri asked as she sat on the couch with you and Akira.
They had come home late after a triple date with their mates and Felix, and you were crying on the couch, in the dark, watching romance movies. Tissues were everywhere, and you were wrapped in at least three throw blankets as you sobbed loudly. The two girls knew they had to intervene then.
Aeri coaxed you into talking about things while Akira made you some tea. Then the two girls sat on the couch with you to listen about everything. You told them about how things with Seungcheol had been since things started getting hectic, and how you had that big fight with him. You told them how you said you were leaving, and then you admitted that you were sure this ‘break’ was a permanent thing.
“H-he doesn’t l-love me anym-more!” you sobbed, covering your nose with a handful of tissues.
“_____, he’s your mate,” Akira said quietly, looking at you with worry. “He’ll never stop loving you.”
“Then w-why did he ign-nore me?” you sniffled.
“He’s a werewolf, _____ – just being near you is good for him,” Aeri shrugged. “Chan gets busy, so he just invites me over and has me sit in the living room with him while he does his homework or deals with the pack. They sometimes forget that while being in the same vicinity as you might be good enough for them, it doesn’t really cut it for us. We don’t have those instincts.”
“So he may not have seen you often, but like, sleeping beside him is something that is so recharging to him,” Akira nodded. “He probably figured you felt the same way or just understood it was all he could do.”
“Things will calm down,” Aeri smiled softly, giving your shoulder a comforting squeeze. “Faye and Yoona won’t be pregnant forever, Junhui can’t stay sulky forever – well, maybe he can, but that’s not Seungcheol’s problem – and the house will go back to normal. But both of you are so tense from everything that you can’t properly talk it out.”
“But Soonyoung might always be the way that he is...” Akira added softly, seeming concerned from the stories she’d heard of him.
You shook your head, trying to stop the tears, “No, I-I can’t go back right n-now…”
“_____, he’s probably–”
The knock at the door cut off Aeri, and made Akira jump a bit. Aeri got up to get the door while Akira continued to try to comfort you. You assumed it was probably one of the wolves of Chan’s pack or one of the mates.
“Ankita,” Aeri spoke up, making the younger girl turn to look at her. Aeri nodded her head toward the short hallway, “we should…go for a bit.”
“Why?” she asked softly.
“C’mon,” Aeri groaned, grabbing the girl and gently tugging her off the couch and away from you.
You looked up, whimpering softly at the loss of comfort, “Why are you–”
“_____…”
The voice had your heart stopping before speeding up again. You turned around to see Seungcheol standing in the doorway to the living room, his face looking like all he’d done since you left was cry.
You almost tossed yourself over the back of the couch, but Seungcheol was over to you in a few steps, standing behind the couch so all you had to do was sit up on your knees and throw your arms around him. You sobbed into his neck while he held you to him, a few tears of his own dripping onto your shirt.
“I’m so sorry,” he whispered, holding you tighter like he thought you’d run away from him again. “I was wrong. I should’ve tried harder, and I should’ve shown you more attention.”
“N-no, I was wr-wrong to yell at y-you,” you hiccupped, your fists gripping the back of his shirt tightly.
“Honey, you had every right to be mad,” he chuckled sadly before you heard him sniffle. It broke your heart. “I promise I’ll give more attention to you, just please co–”
“Yes,” you nodded before he could even finish his request for you to go back home with him. “I wanna go home. I miss you.”
He pulled away, but you kept your arms around him, looking up at him as he cupped your cheeks and wiped under your eyes with his thumbs. He was crying too, but he was smiling softly at you.
“You don’t have to miss me,” he told you before he leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to your forehead. “I won’t ever let you run away from me again.”
-
A week had gone by since Seungcheol brought you home, and things were the same – except that you and Seungcheol were actually communicating and finding time for each other. Seungcheol still had to oversee the pack, yes, but he had others stepping up from their busy lives to help as well. It shouldn’t have all been left to Seungcheol just because he’s the alpha.
“Did Faye and Yoona take their vitamins?” Hansol called. “I don’t think the guys are home.”
“Faye did, Yoona didn’t,” Jihoon replied. “She’s in a mood and wanted to take a nap.”
While the wolves would normally look to the alpha for an answer – usually the only other person who could get to Yoona when she was in one of her moods was Seungcheol – they took the bottle of vitamins with them as they went to find Yoona to resolve the problem.
You and Seungcheol were at the stove together to make dinner. Jaehee was helping – Jun was supposed to do it but he stayed at school late, so instead of making the alpha do it, she volunteered – but you and Seungcheol both enjoyed cooking, and you could help the pack while also being with each other.
“Ew, that’s a lot of salt!” Seungcheol cried as you took a few pinches and tossed them into the pan.
You looked up at him with a fake pout, “Don’t you ‘ew’ me.”
“I’ll say and do whatever I please,” he stated as he flashed you a cheesy smile.
“Do Josh and I sound like that?” Jaehee chuckled, shaking her head.
“No, you two are so much cheesier,” Seungcheol assured her.
“No way,” she shook her head, looking between the two of you, “it never gets cheesier than an alpha and their mate.”
“Well, maybe I like cheese,” Seungcheol shrugged, his arms wrapping around your waist from behind as he pressed a kiss to your cheek, making sure to make the loudest ‘muah!’ sound he could make.
You turned your head, puckering your lips to signal you wanted another kiss. He laughed, planting a second kiss on your lips.
“I love you,” he sang.
“I love you, you big dork,” you grinned as you went back to stirring the food in the frying pan.
“Uh, guys,” Hansol appeared in the kitchen once again before you suddenly heard a loud yell of pain.
It sounded like Faye.
You could tell Seungcheol – who was too focused on you and dinner to be listening to anything the pack was doing – was now straining his ears to figure out what was going on.
“What was that?” you asked nervously.
“Just go call Wonwoo!” Jihoon shouted to whoever else was upstairs.
“Uh,” Hansol ran a hand through his hair, his contact-covered eyes looking almost scared, “we think Faye’s going into labor...”

i’ve had a difficult couple of weeks so it would be great if it could be a vit comforting but honestly i love your writing so whatever you choose to write is going to be amazing 🥰
hope you have a great day❤️❤️
Seungcheol was something great.
He took your hand in his and kissed your knuckles softly enough to make you feel almost as great as he was.
Seungcheol was something grand.
His heart and soul were big enough to make you feel almost as grand as he was.
When you looked at him through the dim light that filled up your room, his gaze was something that floated between adoration and complicity. It was like he was trying to tell you that he would love you through all the bad weeks and all the bad dreams.
A stubborn tear hit your cheek, and he leaned in to wipe it with a kiss. A kiss that was almost as great, almost as grand as Seungcheol.
Almost.
Nothing would ever be as great and grand as Seungcheol himself.

tldr: just use face i.d.? tf? a/n: i am...delusional
“hyung?”
seungcheol didn’t look up, he typed in the password to his phone, immediately opening his messages to you, “yes, dino?”
when dino hesitated, seungcheol finally looked up. dino looked a little flustered and when seungcheol looked past his maknae’s shoulder, he saw jeonghan and joshua giggling on the other side of the practice room, trying (and failing) to be subtle about watching him and dino.
immediately sensing he was being set up, he asked again, “yes, dino?”
dino couldn’t even look seungcheol in the eye. instead he kept his eyes trained on the ground and asked, “why is it that you always type in the password on your phone? why not use face i.d.?”
seungcheol’s face instantly warmed. his eyes cut across the room to jeonghan and joshua just in time to watch them fall into a puddle of laughter. ignoring dino, he called out to them, “you guys suck!”
and with that seungcheol left. eager to see you now that practice had ended early. he was going to offer to give jeonghan a ride home on his way over to yours, but not after the shit he just pulled.
“cheollie, would you please pass me your phone? i want to change the song.”
seungcheol walked around to the other side of the kitchen island, handing it to you easily, “here, baby.”
you grabbed the phone with your spare hand, the other still stirring your dinner on the stovetop.
seungcheol bumped your hip ever so lightly, grabbing the spoon from your hand. “find the song, baby. i’ll stir.”
you smiled at him, pressing a soft kiss to his cheek. you held the phone up to your face, pressing the lock button, illuminating the screen. the phone, sensing your face, immediately unlocked, no password required.
after a few seconds of searching through his music app, you’d finally found the song that had been stuck in your head at work all day, the soft melody coming gently out of the speaker on your counter.
you returned to the stove, peering into the pot. bringing a hand to rest on his back, you gently pushed him from the stove. “i’ll finish up here, cheollie. grab some bowls, will you? and if you want rice, put some instant in the microwave. i forgot to make any earlier.”
he smiled, gummy and broad, relinquishing the spoon to your capable hands. “sure thing, baby. anything for you.”

"Cheol..." you trailed off, clinging onto him for dear life after he carried you out of the car and on the way into the house.
It was one of those rare nights where you, your boyfriend, and your friends were all free on the same night. Arranging a time when all 14 of you could hang out was hard, considering all of you had separate lives to live and jobs that had different schedules.
Which was why all of you decided to spend your day together by drinking, eating, and singing karaoke. You, being the lightweight you were, didn't take much before you were drunk and screaming with Soonyoung in the mic, singing to whatever song he decided to play even if you didn't know the song.
By the end of the night, you were plastered, stumbling all over the place and Cheol had to guide you in walking when you both left the karaoke place.
And that's how you found yourself in Cheol's arms, your cheek resting on his chest while he tried to unlock the door with the key while you were in his arms. Hearing Cheol's steady heartbeat, you found yourself slowly dosing off.
"Hey, baby, you can't sleep yet. We have to get you ready for bed," your boyfriend said, gently waking you up.
You whined at his interruption, burying your face into his chest, and shook your head no. You felt the rumble of his chest when he chuckled at your actions.
He managed to carry you all the way to your bedroom and placed you gently down on the bed. Cheol turned to go, but you sat up and grabbed his arm, and looked at him, your sleepiness was suddenly gone and you were now aware he was going somewhere.
"Stay?" was all you could muster from your drunken state.
"I'm just going to get a few things for you, I'm not going anytime soon," he told you.
You squinted at him, suspicious, before you let him go and watched as he walked out of the bedroom. He didn't take long and he walked back in with a glass of water and a pack of your makeup wipes. "I saw that you used up the last of your makeup wipes so I opened a new one for you," he said, placing down the glass of water onto the nightstand and walked towards you.
Grabbing the makeup wipe, he tried to remove the makeup the best he could without having to press too hard. You moved a bit, but he was able to get most of the makeup out.
Throwing the makeup wipe in the bin, he reached over to the nightstand to grab the water and handed you the glass to drink.
As you were drinking, Cheol once again exited the room and went into your shared walk-in closet. By the time you drank the entire glass of water, he came back out with pajama pants and one of his shirts you declared to be your sleeping shirt.
"Why didn't you get dressed yet?" you asked, grabbing the clothes and you gave him the empty glass.
"I wanted to make sure you went to bed before I did anything," Cheol replied.
You started tearing up, and you didn't know what triggered it, his thoughtfulness or the fact you were still kind of drunk, but it was probably the mix of both.
"Are you okay? Why are you crying? Do you feel sick?" Cheol started panicking once he saw your tears.
“It’s just… I don’t deserve you,” you said, tears starting to stream down your face.
“That’s not true! If anything, I’m the one who doesn’t deserve you,” he said, crouching down to kiss you on the crown of your head.
“But I’m the one who’s drunk and you have to take care of me while you could’ve easily spent more time with the guys,” you sniffled.
“You were having fun with our friends who we haven’t seen in a while. I wasn't going to leave you alone," Seungcheol softly told you.
"I love you so much," you told him.
"I love you too,"

Right Here With Me: The Morning After
Tumblr media
Request: By popular demand: the morning after “Right Here With Me”
Pairing: Seventeen S.Coups x Reader
Genre: Fluff/Romance
.
Coups POV
It was quite possible that he had never hated himself more than he did in this moment. With a dry mouth, a raging headache, and his whole-body sore, he rolled towards his bedside table in search of a drink that did not contain any percentage of alcohol.
Flopping over a bit unceremoniously, he paused when he heard a soft grunt. Opening his eyes despite how loud the sun was being, he winced toward the warm body he had pushed into.
"Y/N?" he croaked. He wasn't sure if he was too quiet or if he had even said your name at all as you remained still.
Furrowing his brows (which was a huge mistake, any movement hurt) he tried to remember what exactly had happened last night. After working in the studio for a bit, the hip hop unit decided to blow off some steam at a local karaoke room. It only took a few minutes to realize that the night would be much more fun if you were there, so he sent a few mildly peer pressuring texts until you had eventually shown up.
That was where things started to get a bit fuzzy. He had drank. A lot.
Had he dedicated Drunk in Love to you?
Smacking a hand over his face and dragging it down, he let out a small groan. Surely, he didn't, but he had the worst feeling that he did.
His mind was a mismatched scrapbook of memories that didn't entirely make sense. He could slightly recall you helping him home. He remembered pulling you into bed with him. And he remembered...
Oh god.
Because you're mine. You always have been.
Smacking his palm against his forehead (and instantly regretting it) he tried not to panic. Sure, you were pretty much the light of his life, but you didn't need to know that!
But you were here... and if his warped memory was serving him correctly and he did actually say that to you...it could mean that you possibly felt at least even a little bit the same?
Or maybe you were terrified to leave him alone and risk him choking on his own vomit.
Semantics.
He was fucked. He wasn't sure what level of fucked, but he was. Every time he got drunk, he always managed to become a drooling mess when it came to you. He was much more capable of hiding it when he was sober, so obviously, he could never drink again.
...or he could just own up to how he's really felt all along.
..
Your POV
You whined quietly as you reached across the bed. Your apartment felt like it was easily subzero, and you were chasing after whatever warmth you could find. You had been warm only a second ago...
Ah, there it was. Snuggling into the side of what squishy comfort you could find; you buried your face into something that smelled vaguely of pine and alcohol.
Pine and...alcohol?
Your eyelids fluttered open, causing you to blink up at a very hungover Seungcheol who was staring at you wide eyed. You looked around slowly, quickly realizing you were in his bedroom, far from your own apartment.
"Sorry!" you gasped, beginning to untangle yourself from him.
He remained silent, watching you struggle, only to pull you back into his arms again.
"What-What are you doing?" you grumbled, pushing one hand slightly at his chest while he held firm to your wrists. "And were you watching me sleep?"
"Well," he said quietly, his voice hoarse. "When you say it like that, it makes me sound like a creep."
"Because it's a creepy thing to do!" you insisted. "Give me back my hands!"
Smirking, he tugged you closer again. Placing your arms around his torso, he moved to cuddle himself around you. "I don't think I will."
Savoring his warmth for a moment longer, you muttered into his chest. "Do you have alcohol poisoning?"
"Why?" he chuckled.
"Because I'm starting to think you've lost your mind," you hissed, leaning back to look at him. Just as before, he continued to watch you, a soft expression painting his face. "Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Do you remember what I said to you last night?" he asked.
You immediately went quiet and decided literally anything aside from the boy in front of you was easier to look at. "No."
"I feel like you're lying," he sighed, defeat in his tone. "But to be honest, I can't really confirm if you are or not."
"You don't remember anything you said to me?" you mumbled, feeling incredibly small. Just like usual, he was busy pouring out his heart when the drinks were flowing, but when morning came, things were back to business.
"Only bits and pieces," he admitted.
"Right," you sighed, finally easing away from him. Sure, you had cuddled plenty of times before, but right now, you didn't want to touch him. You knew this was going to happen. It was silly to think that he could ever mean the things he said to you in the dead of night.
..
Coups POV
He was fucking this up. Badly.
"Wait, wait, wait," he rushed out, pulling you to him again. "Just...wait for a second, okay?"
"What am I waiting for?" you grumbled, your face smushed against his chest.
"I just..." he trailed off, unsure of what words could even begin to convey how you made him feel. He was terrified to actually confess. What if it ruined everything? He couldn't risk losing you. Why were things so much easier last night?
"You just?" you repeated, waiting.
"I don't know," he said quietly. His hands falling limply back to rest on his sides.
"Great," you sighed.
No. Not great. He could not abort mission. Things were said last night. He wasn't even entirely sure what had been, but he knew it was enough to make this an awkward morning. He had come this far, so why not go a little further and just do the damn thing?
"I love you," he said before he could think better of it. Bringing his fingertips to his mouth, he was surprised the words had managed to fall out.
You stared at him, blinking slowly. "In what way?"
In what way. Of course you would ask in what way. You had said "I love you" dozens of times and none of them meant the same as this.
"In a..." he continued slowly. "Love way?"
"You love me in a love way," you coughed. "Brilliant, Coups."
"Y/N," he groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose. He was exhausting himself, so he could only imagine how he was making you feel. "A romantic love way. I love you in a way that isn't appropriate for someone who is only your friend to feel."
You remained silent, shock painting your face.
"I love you too."
..
Your POV
"What?" Coups croaked.
You felt like your chest was on the verge of shattering. Had you admitted that? Out loud?
"I love you so much, Seungcheol," you said quietly, once again interested in looking at anything but him. "Last night...it was the first time in a while that I dared to hope that you felt the same."
"Damnit," he muttered. "I really wish I could remember what I said if it was that good."
You chuckled before shaking your head. "You called me out."
"For?"
"Being scared," you admitted. "But to be fair, it's easy to think everything will work out when you're a bottle of soju in."
"I'm not a bottle of soju in now," he smiled, tilting your face toward his. "And I'm still telling myself everything will work out."
You sighed, searching his face. "What if we mess everything up?"
"Don't you think I've thought about that?" he chuckled. "That if I screw this up, I could lose my best friend? Y/N, if we don't try, it's going to get messed up anyway."
"What do you mean?"
"I cannot pine over you for years to come," he said softly, reaching up to stroke your cheek. "Every day that I don't get to love you in the way I want kills me. I die a little inside every time I want to do something as easy as hold your hand."
"I don't want to lose you," you said quietly, already feeling the tears prickling behind your eyes. Your chest ached with the possibility of something so big changing between you.
"You will never lose me," he whispered, pressing his forehead gently against yours. "Like you ever could."
You snorted. "I'm just stuck with you then?"
"Yep," he grinned. "Let me be your bad habit. Even when you quit, you eventually find your way back."
"Mmm," you hummed. "You make addiction sound so romantic."
"It's a skill, I know," he laughed. Pulling away from you, he tilted your face to fully look at him. "We're doing this?"
"I think it's already been done," you sighed.
"Thank god."
Seungcheol's lips were immediately on yours. Every year you had been friends, every argument you had ever had, every drunken night, every almost kiss. They had all lived behind this moment and were finally coming to the surface. His mouth was searing as he tilted your jaw to get a better vantage. You clung to the front of his wrinkled t-shirt, scared to let go. You had never been kissed like this. You would be ruined for anyone else, which you knew Seungcheol was 100% aiming for. There was no anyone else. There would only be him.
He bit roughly at your bottom lip, causing you to whimper. His pained chuckle crept out in between kisses, his hands finally dropping to your waist and tugging you in as closely as he could. His words danced along your lips, "How could we have waited this long?"
He tasted like a mix of peppermint and the alcohol from the night before. How could someone who was nearly blackout drunk still taste so sweet the morning after? Your hands slid up to cup around his jaw, applying a small amount of pressure to pull the two of you apart.
Coups looked back at you with eyebrows furrowed. "What's wrong?"
"Absolutely nothing," you whispered. "And I needed to take that in for a second."
His face broke into a smile before he kissed the tip of your nose. "It's been a second." And his mouth descended on yours again.

oddly specific details/key points of their relationship with you
cw: sfw, 'girl' is only mentioned once in wonwoo's, mentions a period once, and mentions showering together in mingyu's but it's not sexual, npr!

˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ seungcheol
⋆ seungcheol, who refuses to wake you up when he leaves early for practice/schedules, no matter how much you insist that he should.
when you bring it up, he always promises you that he will next time, and in that moment, he really isn't lying! he fully intends on fulfilling your wishes and waking you up to let you know he'll be heading out; in fact, there's nothing he wants more than to selfishly wake you and bid you a proper goodbye each and every morning he has to leave for work. except on the day of, when his alarm rings at nearly six in the morning, his plans change completely. he spends the better part of an hour talking himself up to the grueling task ahead of him, reminding himself that you literally want him to wake you up.
after he's showered, gotten ready, and is moments away from heading out, seungcheol's eyes land on you, face poking out under all the blankets that you love hogging, cheeks smushed and drool gathering at the corner of your lip. that's when he realizes he doesn't have it in him to disturb your slumber, and he probably never will. ultimately, he breaks his promise, settling instead for leaving a lingering kiss on your cheek and a note or text where he expresses his apology and explains that you deserved the rest. secretly enjoys the earful he gets later, and makes it up to you so sweetly.
⋆ seungcheol, who doesn't let you lift a finger when it's not necessary: "don't worry, i'll take care of it."
it doesn't matter to seungcheol that everyone sees him as responsible and reliable—what really matters to him, is that you see it, too. has no problem with you being independent, but he definitely feels a healthy surge of pride at the prospect of being able to facilitate things for you. having you depend on him, or at the very least having you know you can depend on him for anything, is so important to him. no task is too grueling, and babying you is a partner privilege i can't see him not indulging in. the members definitely call him out for it if it ever happens in front of them, but he could not care less.
if your car needs an oil change, he'll go get it done while you're taking a nap so you don't have to worry about it later. if he notices any laundry piling up throughout the week, he'll do it while you run an errand so that you have one less thing to do when you get home. if you want to redecorate or renovate something, he's invested in your ideas, learning how build complicated furniture and polish floor tiles—anything it takes he'll do, as long as it means he can make you happy. very much an 'acts of service' kind of guy.
⋆ seungcheol, who calls everyday to check-in.
it might seem like it's the bare minimum, but when he works the job that he does and is as busy as he is, knowing that he puts time aside to call you throughout the day is so, so meaningful. especially when he's in a different time zone, staying up late into the night or getting before the sun so that he can wish you a good morning/night. always asks if you've eaten, what you're planning to do that day, etc. and he'll talk to you until he's confident that you don't feel neglected in any way. you're never a second thought to him, and he wants to make sure you feel like he's dedicating time and attention to you, even when he's not physically there to do so.
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ wonwoo
⋆ wonwoo, who replaces all of your favorite things the moment they run out.
the level of attention to detail he has for things involving you is both concerning and extremely endearing. he's so attentive to you and remembers all of the things you like and dislike. at the start of your relationship, it was pretty subtle: keeping your favorite drinks and snacks stocked up at his apartment for when you came over or buying a few pairs of shorts or sweats (since you’re obviously wearing his shirts) for when you’d stay the night. keeps them neatly folded in a drawer for you to wear on days need to cover up a bit more, like if Mingyu is around.
eventually, this evolves into restocking your favorite shampoo and conditioner when he's showered at yours and noticed you're out. same goes for your favorite perfume that's running low, and other house-hold things like your detergent or your favorite candle.
always makes sure you're taken care of during outings—brings hair ties and little battery-powered fans for hot days, and on cold winter days, opens his jacket so you can hug his waist and he can wrap it around you, swaying the two of you side to side. presses his cheek against yours to warm it up or kisses the icy tip of your nose.
⋆ wonwoo, whose love language is ambiguous
not only is he receptive to any love language you may have, he is somehow amazing at giving you all five (regardless of which one is your actual favorite).
gift giving? the most thought-through, special gifts for his special girl, as frequent as he deems necessary, too, because you deserve nothing less. quality time? one of his favorite things is sitting with you in a comfortable silence, making occasional jokes and comments to get you to crack a grin. a smile is his favorite look on you. acts of service? waters your plants, cooks for you, cleans or organizes things just how you like them so that you're at your most comfortable, massages your shoulders and feet after long days, runs warm, scented baths—you name it, he does it. physical touch? scoops you into his lap because he's obsessed with how warm you are, and the way your weight feels on him is so, so infatuating. likes leaving light and airy kisses on your cheek or pressing his lips into the crook of your neck. all of his kisses take your breath away, but the ones on your shoulder where he mumbles soft confessions of love are particularly awe-spiring. words of affirmation? don't be fooled by his quietness—he always has something he's eager to say to you, and if it's to pay you a compliment, there is no restriction to his words. loves telling you just how happy you make him, how pretty you are, how you're his safety-net and his soulmate and all of his favorite things put in one.
⋆ wonwoo, who sets aside time for you
you'd never have to ask him to put a book down or hop off a game. the moment you appear, he's putting everything aside to greet you and hold you and ask how you've been. if you're upset or sad, he'll glue himself to your side until you feel better. he seems like the type of person who feels very deeply for the people he cares about, so it's extremely important to him that you are always feeling your best, for his sake and yours. listens so deeply to your concerns and complaints for any matter—whether it's in an argument and you're sharing your views, or after a bad day at work where you ramble and rant about what went wrong.
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ mingyu
⋆ mingyu, who is impatient when it comes to you
he's understanding of the fact that the two of you cannot always be together, considering his career and the fact that you're also busy at times; regardless, he has an inability to be away from you for longer than a few hours. it’s endearing, his neediness showing in the form of longing text messages or voice notes where he whines and mumbles, “what are you doing? i miss youuuu,”
his impatience is also evident in person, like how he runs up to the door when he hears your keys jingling because he's that eager to greet you. most of the time if he's cooking or tasting something, you end up tasting the food on his lips because he's never patient enough to wait until he swallows a bite of food before he kisses you.
⋆ mingyu, who is so gentle and thoughtful with you
loves pampering you, whether its by scrubbing your shampoo into your scalp as he sits behind you in a hot bath, or getting up before you to bring you breakfast in bed. most of the time, showering together isn't even sexual; he'll hold you close and mumble soft compliments or talk about his day, wrap you in a towel when you get out, dry your hair for you, apply lotion, whatever your regular routine is— and he truly enjoys every part of it. if he comes home after you've fallen asleep, he'll make sure your phone is plugged in and any alarms you may need are on. finishes any tasks around the house you may have forgotten to do prior to your slumber, like folding clothes you left in the dryer or washing any dishes in the sink.
treats you as if you were made of glass, covering the corners of tables when you walk by or holding your hand while you cross the street. pouts while he takes care of you if you're sick or injured, cooing and bandaging your cuts and scrapes or insisting you take your medicine around the clock and rest (perhaps even excessively... you could have seasonal allergies, and he'll still scold you for wanting to get out of bed).
⋆ mingyu, who dedicates a section of his phone to you
loves candid pictures and loves your face. simple.
there's a hidden photo album on his phone with all the pictures he has of you and with you and there are various playlists dedicated to you, too. any song that reminds him of you is on a playlist with a cheesy name. another playlist consist of songs he knows you like or even thinks you might like. plays these for you on drives where his hand clutches yours and the windows are down.
if you're an individual who gets their period, he has your period tracker on his phone so he can plan accordingly and make sure he's extra sweet to you around that time. has recipes you like/he wants to make for you set aside in a pinterest board or bookmarked on his search page. also keeps your favorite shopping apps with the cart full of things you mentioned so he can get them for you.
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ vernon
⋆ vernon, who can't watch shows without you
there's certain tv shows that he completely avoids unless you're there to watch them with him. even if the guys beg him to watch it, he'll refuse and lock himself in his room so there's no chance it might be spoiled. when he's with you though? a few nights of the week, the two of you sit down with snacks and sugary drinks to watch your favorite series together like an old married couple watching their nightly programs.
loves when you you curl up in his lap, both of you wrapped under one blanket with your head resting on his shoulder and his arms circled around you. his gasps and laughs and overall reactions are so loud by your ear but it's adorable and it's such a domestic and comfortable experience. it feels very familiar, and more often than not, both of you prefer this to going out.
⋆ vernon, who rests the best when he's around you
needs his afternoon naps, but specifically, he needs them with you. limbs tangled and light conversation before you drift off that just becomes slurred, pointless babbling. quiet snores and soft breaths take over as the early afternoon hours go by. just the warmth of having you near makes his heart so happy and his rest so fulfilling, especially before practice or after long hours of travelling.
it's a treat to wake up beside him after these catnaps, too. the sleepy features and tousled hair are so very boyfriend, and the way he looks at you when his eyes peek open is so cute.
⋆ vernon, who always tries new things with you
a yes man, any time, all of the time. whether you ask to go on a grocery run at two in the morning or a hike at dawn, he's saying yes. whenever you want to try something new, vernon is your partner in crime and your greatest alliance. he's not only your boyfriend, but your best friend, and it makes everything so fun. always puts a smile on your face, too. he's so goofy and easy going that it's difficult to not feel great around him.
enthusiastic and supportive when you wanna try new hobbies. always asks so many questions so you know he's interested and invested, and will get you any tools or resources you need to excel. trying new foods and restaurants is also high up on the list of things the two of you like to do. he might like keeping a little list of your favorite spots so he can find similar ones to try with you.

If you were to tell yourself that you were going to spend your Saturday afternoon seated beside your overbearing, borderline annoying neighbor-slash-childhood friend, Seungcheol, on a double date with your sweet college friend, Hana, who just so happened to be dating your middle-school ex, Eunwoo… you would laugh so hard, you'd strain your neck.
What led to this awkward situation? Well, it started when you were about to enter class earlier in the week, International Politics would always occur at eight in the morning, when the rest of campus was still catching up on their sleep from late night assignments. You dragged your legs up the stairs, thanking the organizer of your class for putting the lecture room on the first floor, as you rubbed the sleep out from your eyes. As you reached the door of the lecture room, your eyes practically bulged out of your head as you saw your newfound friend, Hana, talking with Eunwoo, your ex from middle school. It wouldn't have fazed anyone if they were simply talking, however, when Eunwoo leaned down to place a soft kiss on her lips, you knew it was more than just a conversation between two students (of different faculties, may this be added).
You stepped out of the classroom, wanting to avoid Eunwoo as he made his way out of the class. Hiding your face against the wall, you were lucky he went the opposite direction, and you stared at his back as he walked away. Once he was out of sight, you reentered the classroom and approached your usual seat which was located beside Hana.
"Hey, Hana," you greeted, clearing your voice when it came out quieter than usual. She beamed up at you, the sparkle evident in her eyes, indicating puppy love.
"Hey, Y/N, I almost thought you weren't coming in," she stated, and you chuckled weakly, remembering how you texted her at three in the morning earlier because you had just finished writing up your essay for your strategies class.
"I drank a can of Redbull on the way, so I think I can last for the class today," you explained and she laughed, nodding. You weren't sure whether you should ask about her and Eunwoo, it was obvious you two had something going on. However, your curiousity over the love-life of your ex (albeit, middle school ex) was stronger than anything to hold you back. "So… You and Eunwoo?"
She looked taken aback, her cheeks turning a shade of bright pink. "Ah, yeah… it happened a couple nights ago, after the August Festival had ended…"
"Oh yeah, you guys were both in charge of the talent, no? So you met often?" She nodded, biting down on her bottom lip to fight the large smile that urged to appear. Her expression then shifted, her brows furrowed as she pursed her lips. You noticed her change of expression, asking, "What's wrong?"
"Is it okay if I ask you something?" She asked, turning her body to face you. Eyes wide, you only nodded, allowing her to proceed. "Eunwoo told me, but I wanted to make sure with you."
You knew where this was going. Your blood ran cold as you watched an almost conflicted expression flash through her eyes. You were sure it wasn't an easy thing to ask, despite it already considered as history in your book.
"Did you and Eunwoo used to date?" There it was. Admittedly, it shouldn't be hard to state that you and Eunwoo did have history, but since he was your last boyfriend, making you having been single for almost six years now, you felt a bit embarrassed.
"Y-yeah, we did," you stuttered, internally cursing. "But it happened when we were in middle school, so you don't need to worry about it, Han."
"Oh…" She nodded in understanding. "It's just… you know what they say about dating your friend's exes, right? And I don't want there to be any bad blood between us, is all."
"There won't be any bad blood between us, Han, you're too precious for me to do that to you," you reassured, causing her to smile in relief. You could've stopped there; end the topic of discussion and move on with your life, but for some reason, with the lack of sleep mixed with Redbull, you had no control of your tongue.
"And plus, I have a boyfriend now, so there really isn't anything for you to worry."
Funny thing is, you did not, in fact, have a boyfriend. Wasn't it stated that you were single for the past six years, until now?
"Really?" She was shell-shocked, obviously. You have been friends with her since the beginning of college, your friendship going on to almost two years now and she has never seen you with a guy. "Since when?"
"Uhm…" Think, think. Use the remaining three braincells to come with a believable lie, Y/N. "It happened recently too, yeah…" Nice, very convincing.
"Who?"
"You don't know him," you stated, internally slapping yourself from how much of a terrible liar you are. Fortunately for you, Hana was convinced. Barely.
"You should introduce him to me, Y/N," she insisted, "I mean, it's only fair because you already know Eunwoo, and I'd like to know yours as well—" she then stopped and gasped aloud, garnering the attention of other students who've arrived.
"We should go on a double date!"
And that is how the notion of a double date came to be. How you got Seungcheol to join in the result of your terrible lying skills involved a lot of forehead flicks from the man.
"Please!" You pleaded, already on your knees and rubbing your hands together as you kneeled in front of Seungcheol in his apartment. "Please be my boyfriend for the date, just for the date."
"No," he sternly denied, focused on the report in front of him. "I am not going to let you use me like that just because you can't come up with a better lie."
He then sighed, turning to face, a look of complete disbelief, mixed with exasperation etched across his sharp features. "Really? A boyfriend?"
Your face turned sour, taking offence to his statement. "What? Do you think I'm incapable of having a boyfriend?"
He rolled his eyes, chuckling dryly at your statement, but didn't say anything. You huffed, scooting forward and began to shake his leg as you continued to plea. "Please!" You went as far as jutting your bottom lip out dramatically, widening in your eyes to imitate that of a puppy.
"Why did you even say yes, Y/N?"
"Because I was sleep deprived and my braincells were fried from last night's assignment, I wasn't thinking!" You defended yourself—a poor defense, but a defense nonetheless, and it was the truth. "And also, maybe if I show up with a boyfriend, then Hana won't have to feel bad for dating my ex, and Eunwoo can believe that I've moved on from him."
"Did Eunwoo even say that he thinks you haven't moved on?" Seungcheol asked, raising a brow towards you.
You avoided his eyes, "Well… no, but I mean, doesn't it seem like it because I've never dated anyone after him?" Seungcheol didn't respond, only rolled his eyes for what he thought was the umpteenth time since you stepped into his apartment.
"Please, Seungcheol, it'll just be a couple of hours and then we'll never have to do it again," you tried to negotiate with him. You sat back on your feet, watching as he paused his reading and turned to face you with his arms folded over his chest.
"You owe me," was the only words that left his mouth.
You grinned widely, eyes beaming up at him as you sighed in relief, "Fine, whatever you like."
And that was how you ended up in your current situation, seated awkwardly beside your childhood friend, with your college friend and middle school ex across from you.
Since you all knew each other; Eunwoo, Seungcheol and you being middle school friends, all four of you being in the same college, conversation flowed quite easily. The only times it felt like the double date was taking a toll on you was when Eunwoo and Hana would show affection to each other, where you and Seungcheol could barely have your shoulders touch.
He has always been a great friend to you. Having met the first time in middle school as well, but he was also your neighbor during those early years in your teen. He was there for you when you began dating Eunwoo, and he was there when the latter decided to break it off in order to focus on school. Unfortunately, Seungcheol and you separated since you went to different high schools, only to meet again in college and in the same major.
He was caring, looked out for you because he wanted to, and not because your parents asked him to make sure you ate well and stayed healthy. He was also annoying, and nagged at you a lot for staying up too late, or drinking too much energy drinks. He'd also be your 911 whenever you chose to get a bit too drunk the night after the end of finals week, but the next morning, your hungover would be accompanied by a lecture from him on the dangers of drinking too much at such a young age.
Did you ever believe that his caring was more than just as a friend looking out for a friend? Sometimes, but it seemed impossible, especially when Seungcheol was a popular individual in your campus. He had many that wanted to be him or be with him, why would he settle for someone as careless and reckless as yourself?
"Yeah, you guys go ahead, Seungcheol and my building aren't too far from here," you told Hana, and she nodded, the two waving goodbye, leaving you with Seungcheol. You watched as they disappeared in Eunwoo's car, driving off before turning to Seungcheol, with a tight smile.
"What?" you asked, your tone a bit too harsh since you didn't have to keep an act now. He only chuckled, the dent in his cheek prominent as he shook his head.
The two of you walked towards your apartment building in silence for the first few minutes before Seungcheol spoke up.
"So?"
"So, what?"
"Do you feel like you proved your point to them?" You rolled your eyes, inhaling deeply. "I hope so."
"So, you've moved on from Eunwoo?" He asked again, and you shrugged.
"Obviously, I mean, it was, what? Six years ago? More maybe," you began, "and plus, seeing how much they cared for each other, even if I haven't moved on, I'd still act like I did… they really do care for each other…"
Seungcheol didn't respond, only stared at you from your side.
You then sighed again, "But I did move on, it was just a shock at first when I saw them, is all."
Your friend hummed in response, then asked, "But how come you never decided to date anyone after him?"
You glanced up at the brunette, "I don't know, I just… never found the right guy, I guess."
"During your entire high school career?"
You nodded. "No one really stuck out to me." Seungcheol wordlessly nodded, allowing for the rest of your walk to the building be in complete silence.
Once you both reached your floor, he stopped you in front of your door. "The favor you owe me, by the way, Y/N."
You stared at him wide-eyed, "Already?" He bounced his eyebrows. "But please, nothing money related, it's the end of the month, I have barely anything left in my account."
"Don't worry, it won't be that," he reassured you, causing you to sigh in relief.
"Then what?"
He smirked, the dimple in his cheek seeming deeper than usual. "Go on a date with me? For real this time."
If you were to tell yourself that Seungcheol had been waiting to ask you out ever since the two of you met in middle school, only stepping back because he didn't want to intrude on your relationship with Eunwoo, then finally shooting his shot after almost eight years… you'd laugh so hard, you'd strain your neck.
But here you are, a week after that "real date", cuddled up beside the brunette with bright, brown eyes, watching him read through a report on a Sunday afternoon.

S.coups and breeding kink? Please?
Tumblr media
seungcheol had been fucking you for quite possibly, at least 3 hours. not that you minded of course, because you loved how he fucked you and every single time he had you on the bed, it was always fun and exciting.
your breath was coming out in short puffs, eyes rolling to the back of your head and your arms are pinned above your head by your boyfriend's strong arms. your legs are wrapped tightly around his waist and he was showing no signs of slowing down.
"so...fuckin' tight babe," seungcheol grunts, his head dropping so that he can take one of your nipples into his mouth and suck it harshly. the action has you gasping and whining, and your legs squeezing his waist even tighter.
with every thrust, he makes sure to have you begging. incoherent mumbles are falling from your lips constantly, and with the way his hips are beginning to stutter, you're sure he's getting close to his orgasm as well.
"gonna cum, fill you up and breed you so well," he thrusts deeply into you a few more times before he's groaning loudly and his cum is spilling inside of you. you can feel the warmth seeping through your body, which is only amplified when he gets his thumb and roughly circles your clit to bring you over the edge with a loud moan.
he stays still for a few moments, not wanting to let a single drop of cum escape you. his heavy breathing gradually lightens as he comes down off his high, and eventually, he rolls over and lays next to you with a dopey grin on his face.
"so, do you wanna go for another round in the shower?"
