summary: sunghoon knows ivy struggles a lot whenever it came to her looks. the boys knew she was pretty and everyone loved her but it seems like she can't wrap that around her head. through this, sunghoon tries his best to show that ivy is perfect for him.

NOTE: ivy and sunghoon started dating during the dimension : dilemma promotions. shortly after (like during their blank period) she started dating jungwon and sunoo.

when sunghoon first noticed ivy during I-LAND, he couldn't help but be mesmerised by her beauty but he was still shy around the trainees. especially the 6 ladies (including ivy).

sure during his ice skating career, he has had met tons of girls and conversed with them but this was different. sunghoon felt like he should be careful with his words when speaking to ivy.

soon...that thought died down. he became more comfortable with her as episodes go by. when they finally debuted together, sunghoon was thrilled to hear he was debuting with ivy.

over time living with her, he notices how she'd linger and stare at herself in the mirror. at first, he thought that he was admiring herself because who wouldn't do that if you were that pretty but then the longer ivy stayed. the more sunghoon notices, the sad eyes.

he quickly finds out that ivy had been struggling with her image. hence, he vowed to point out any new things ivy tried. he was always the first to compliment her and while she was thankful...she didn't feel like she deserve those words. even more so it was from sunghoon, a man who was sculpted by god.

"noona?" sunghoon enters her bedroom. ivy had been laying in bed all day since it was a day off. ivy had her airpods on. she notices sunghoon and takes one side off.

"yes, hoon?"

"can we talk?"

"sure. what's wrong?" ivy pats the empty spot next to her. sunghoon settles down.

"it's just-" he groans. "i noticed you being so worried about your image. noona, you do realise you're really pretty and your imperfections are also perfections?"

"hoon, thank you for saying it but i-"

"noona, please understand that i'm being serious. i can't just ignore how you always stare at yourself in the mirror. judging your appearance. you look fine. you don't have to change anything about you." ivy looks away. she feels the tears pricking at her eyes.

"i'm sorry. i read those comments and i just started feeling uncomfortable in my own skin. i felt off about myself." sunghoon holds her hand.

"you don't have to feel sorry to me. i just don't want you to think about having to change yourself because of comments from netizens."

it was silent. sunghoon lifts ivy's face with his finger.

"you know i love you."

"hoon..."

"let me show you're worth the world." sunghoon whispers.

he carefully leans in and kisses her. it was their first kiss. a kiss that portrayed multiple feelings. how he admired her, how much he loved her, how much she deserved the world and how perfect she was.

"i love you." he mutters after the kiss ended. their foreheads touching.

"i love you too." ivy says.

and so that day, sunghoon became ivy's official 4th boyfriend. the other boys congratulated him for finally confessing his feelings. sunghoon never stopped showing how much he loved her. in fact, he was always clinging to her.

but that's only because

he loved her.
