Seversky P-35A by Willard Womack Via Flickr: Built by the Seversky Aircraft Company, founded by Alexander Seversky. In 1938, while Seversky was in Europe, the Board reorganized the company as the Republic Aviation Corporation, and forced Seversky out. The P-35 evolved into the P-43. Air Force Museum.
