rewatching Sex Ed before s4 comes out in september and have finally realized that Eric cheating should not have been that shocking. At the end of s2 he publicly admits his feelings to Adam while still being in an explicit (and i’m assuming exclusive) relationship with Rahim. Sure all they do is hold hands but it makes his actions in Nigeria Much more on brand. It’s a bummer that he sucks like that but a relief that his actions in s3 are in character and not a random writing choice to push the plot

I just can't stop thinking about the GENIUS of Otis and Ruby. Having from the beggining the predictable/obvious romance (Otis & Maeve) and all of a sudden he has sex by accident with the popular girl. They keep having casual meetings with "no feelings" but in the process of developing this relationship he discovers that maybe THIS is love, not the platonic passion and hopelessness of Maeve. And Ruby finally starts to open up and feel like herself with someone. They were the most unexpected yet satisfaying ship I ever experienced.

But I guess the writers were cowards.
